He is a ray of sunshine. He and his trainee Daniel were professional, kind, quick and informative. He tested all of my equipment, cleaned compressor, changed filter and replaced a part. I had an awful experience with A#1 Air, Inc. The technician provided the wrong diagnose for the issue and said it will cost a lot to fix it. To add insult to injury, he suggested to install two kits for my two condensers and charged me more than $500.00 and it did not take him more than 5 minutes to install, however, each kit costs only $30 on the internet. The next day I hired another AC vendor who provided the correct diagnose and fixed the issue with much less than what I paid A#1 Air, Inc.
Nathan and his associate provided a very thorough inspection of our A/C systems and provided us with a detailed list of possible improvements. They were very professional and friendly in every respect! Definitely a job well done!
Danny J is very knowledgeable on a/c efficuency and performed our a/c tune up efficiently and professionally. He was very thorough, identifying and resolving several issues. We are very happy with a1 air and highly recommend them for both systems installation and service.

I had a sales rep come to my home to provide an estimate on a new HVAC system and was extremely disappointed in their sales tactic.
This salesman put down the other companies we had gotten quotes from - even once unnecessarily citing he had never heard of one of them despite the fact that they have thousands of reviews on Google and are pretty comparable competitors. I don't feel like a quality company needs to convince customers with anything other than their own work and service.
He asked us how long we plan to live in that home and lo and behold offered us a warranty for exactly that many years plus one. Neither he nor his boss would ever give us a quote in writing or gave us the name of the HVAC system they would be installing - making it impossible for us to draw a fair comparison between them and their competitors.
He also tried to sell us on a system with more tons than we were advised to get by any of the other companies we contacted. All of these things combined had us convinced they were just trying to aggressively upsell us and dupe us into buying things we don't need. I don't know how they would have expected us to hand over $15,000+ based on no written quote or breakdown of expected costs.
He also failed to wear a mask over his nose during the entirety of his visit in the midst of a pandemic. After he left, we never heard from him again and I assume it's because they realized their sales tactic had failed on us.
From the call I made for help to the time the tech left, they made sure I was taken care of and felt like I was their most important customer. They made sure I was notified every step of the way with updates on my tech being at my house. They are very professional and courteous. They even came out the next day, on a Sunday! Damien was my tech. Awesome experience! I highly recommend them for you!
A-1 Air is awesome! They come out in the spring and the fall to check my system. They call you to schedule, and when I am busy I blow that off. They call you back every month to check in and see if your ready for service. Which for me is fabulous as I am busy and forget stuff often. Rocky came to the house and was extremely thorough and explained what he was doing in laymen terms! He was terrific. I will request that he does my semi annual checks from now on!
Terrible Service. I called them because our heater would not turn on. System is only 6 years old. Their technician came out and immediately said it was a blower motor....which naturally is one of the highest priced repairs. I put faith in this company and said ok. Well 2 days later...same issue, no heat. I knew the blower had nothing to do with it. But instead of listening to their customer they went for a quick buck and stick it to me.
***update. We still do not have heat on what has been the coldest stretch in the last year. The technician keeps telling us he is waiting on a part to arrive...why does our system require such a unique part that it takes multiple days to locate? We aren t living in Siberia..even though that is the temperature of my house currently. This has been such a terrible experience. The latest technician has quit communicating with us so we don t even know what s going on. If I were not owed a refund for the initial misdiagnosis of the system, I would have called another company and had them come out to fix it. This is patently ridiculous. Will keep you updated if hypothermia doesn t set in.

I had an AC unit installed and I can't say enugh about the great service. Then Leo V came out to do some electrical work and he was better than awesome. He fixed everything in record time and was very nice too. I will recommend them and be back.

I wished I wouldn't have read the reviews on Angie's List. I'm guessing they get good review because the are good at business talk. These guys are crooks. I called them to come out because my internal unit blower was not working, instead when they came out, they said my outside unit condenser was broken and i should replace my whole unit, in and out.
I thought something was fishy because when i turned on my unit, I saw a pipe freezing up, so it couldn't be a condenser problem.
I called Calahan Construction and Air for a second opinion. They came out and told me that it was a blower problem and fixed it. Unit is blowing cold air without any problems.
The only good thing about A#1 is that they do service calls 24/7, but is it really worth it if they are going to give you bad info and try to cheat you?
Called and they said they would be able to come out Wednesday afternoon. At 8:30 pm they called and said it wouldn't be till after 11pm till they were able to come out. I should have cancelled at that point but had them reschedule for first appointment Friday morning. They show up around 9 and find my system frozen. Come back after noon and charged 90 per pound of freon because the system is low. But to find out why the system is low and correctly diagnose the problem would be an extra $180 for ten minutes worth of looking for the leak. I have never felt more ripped off than after letting these people into my home.
Well I gotta say this company sucks!!!! My husband called to have somebody just come out and clean the coals and blow out the lines. The technician comes down and asks me so what are your intentions? I asked what do you mean? He said I see your house is for sale. You won't pass inspection you need to replace all 3 units for a total of $25k. I about choked. I said I can't make a decision like that without my husband. He asked if I could call him. I said no. I said we will call you back. He showed me pictures of corroded coils, holes in places etc. Well looooong story short we did not fall for this high pressure tactic and called another company out to look at our systems. That technician went up and inspected our systems did what was required didn't feel the need to take pictures and said we were good. We have repeatedly called A1 to get the $99 we paid for nothing with promises to reimburse and one month later and lots of calls still nothing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!!
We were having plumbing issues. Not easy getting someone on short notice (within 24 hrs). When our plumber Matilde (Mark) Garza came out he was personable, knowledgable, helpful and got the job done quickly and efficiently. He fixed the issue and gave us an estimate on how to permanently fix it. We have used A#1 Air for heating and air conditioning and now we have plumbing too! We highly recommend using them and hope you are as pleased as we are.
I am very disappointed in this company and Andre in customer service lack of customer service skills. I requested a thermostat with no smart features or WI do capability due to harassment and stalking through the last thermostat which had a nexus app to control my smartphone and my ex threatened me and has been using it with the bridged network to mess with my so do network. My phone started acting funny immediately after the tech installed it a week ago and I gave them an oppertunity to make it right rather than stop payment on my check for $289 and it was agreed I would get a full refund into my account by Monday November 9th I just received $250 and am absolutely down to my last $20 for food so I was shocked and appalled that it only was the $250. I what to take more time out of my day to wait for a technician to take their device that was not what I asked for and put me in harm's way and screwed up my cell phone and gave my location away to the very person stalking me with the American standard media zwave bridged network the HELL out of my house and have incurred more damages yet they charged me for installation and didn't give me all my money back as agreed by Daniel Burgess and Andre in customer relations whom has no bedside manner and needa some training on how to properly handle these issues. I am so angry and can get no one on the phone to help with my issue to reslove it today. They obviously don't care about the safety of their customers and I shouldn't be out now time money a cell phone and personal safety but I am and I cannot believe the lack of courtesy and professionalism. I would rethink using their service as they put me in danger and charged me for it!!!!!
I had a new water heater installed in January 2015. An issue arose with the FloodStop in August. I contacted Customer Service, and had assistance in less than 2 hours. Sam K. was prompt, courteous, and very efficient. He diagnosed the issue and replaced the faulty FloodStop. Thanks to all at A#1 Air.
From the first contact using their website through the cleanup and removal of everything from our full two-system replacement, A#1Air delivered as promised. Sales Estimator Steve B. was professional, educated, and sincere when helping us to determine the best systems for our needs. Steve was not pushy, didn t seem to be driven to lead us to the most expensive system and even encouraged us to consider not outspending for our estimated remaining time of owning this house. We did have a previous quote from another company in-hand and we reviewed that with Steve as well. We decided to go with A#1 based on the quote and professionalism shown throughout.
The next day was install day and after the courtesy call notifying us that they were on their way, Miguel E. and Wilbur J. were at the house promptly by 8:30 AM.
They worked through a difficult spot to ensure our downstairs air handler got to its destination safely and even had to disassemble and reassemble it just to get it in there (previous owners installed some cabinets that slightly impeded ability to take it up there in one piece).
They worked to ensure everything was just right and cleaned up everything like they were never there!
We are very happy with our choice of using A#1 to update and upgrade our 7.5 ton system to a 9 ton system.
Stephen came out and looked at our air conditioner and was able to quickly diagnose the problem as well as offer a variety of solutions. He was incredibly helpful and patient!!

Tech came out promptly. Said that a sequencer was bad and it would cost $300. Not a problem.
That didn t fix the issue. Then I was told that I had a faulty heat kit, and it would cost an additional $1200 to fix.
Got a second opinion - heat kit was working perfectly - was told that the thermostat was faulty. $400 total fix. Got two second opinions to see what a fair price is to install a heat kit, both said $600 is a fair price give or take.
Asked why the price was so high, was told that if I chose a different company that I would void all warranty on the system - a warranty that I did not and have never had.
Noel is THE trouble shooter and customer salvager for the entire team! He should be teaching the others how it's done. Plus, it's my opinion he should be carrying business cards (with his name on them) because more than anyone else in the organization, walks the talk on customer satisfaction!
We had 3 guys come in to check why AC unit isn't functioning. After an hour,one guy came in and said the machines are not operable and beyond reasonable repair and yet charged me 700$ for service fees and replacing contactor (which did not fix the issue after all). They mentioned contactor failed,poorly installed, evap frozen,dual run capacitor low ,low air flow ,unit restricted metering,builder grade complaints on these AC units.He said this charge will be waived if I buy new units with them.
While another electrician got this fixed for 150$ and we have been using the same units for more than an year now.
I agree with another customer who posted here.Their crew is so rude and can't be polite when explaining the fix options.They are downright getting to replace the units.
Why don't the service crew just talk about fixing things?Not everyone is ready to replace the units just because A#1 crew can't fix the issue. A#1 It's a total rip off
I have used A Number 1 Air previously so they were the only company I called for a new system install when mine gave out recently. After the job was completed it appeared it was done correctly however the next day, I arrived home from work to a very strong odor of natural gas. I called for another tech to come out who used a meter around the gas lines/ fittings on the furnace and this confirmed that gas was escaping through a fitting. This could have resulted in a serious consequence to my family and home.
Our AC system was only 1 year old. Cain' AC repair service did a very sloppy job. System wasnt cooling properly.
John was friendly and very thorough. He took the time to get it done right. The price was not the cheapest in town...but was fair. You will pay a little bit more but you will get a piece of mind.
I am always pleased with the attention given to scheduling, managing appointments, customer service and customer convenience. The technicians are always courteous, pleasant and patient. Though the prices for certain repairs can be stunningly high relative to elsewhere in the market, I'm always given the opportunity in advance to understand what's involved and then decide on whether to authorize the work recommended. I am very comfortable maintaining a service agreement with A#1 Air.
Taylor and Courtney arrived at 10:15p on a Tuesday night, quickly assessed the issue with my outside condenser and provided me with as many options as possible. The (required, I'm sure) sales option for a 100% new unit was presented in a very little to no pressure manner. As soon as the parts came in, they arrived again promptly and got to work. These guys were completely friendly, communicative and professional.
Like Taylor said, nobody wants to see the AC guys more than once, but I'd have no problem at all with these two working on my AC system if it fails again.
I had a great experience with A#1 Air. I was far from an easy customer needing a 40ft ladder and rescheduling my appointment multiple times due our townhomes getting a new roof put on. A#1 accommodated me each time. The technicians Sam Andrei and Zach N were especially fantastic. They showed up and were extremely friendly and professional. They were able to get the 40ft ladder up on my unit with no problems and quickly serviced my units. They seem to be running better than ever. I will definitely be using A#1 Air for my annual heating and cooling services in the future.
Mr. Sam Andrei arrived at my home on time. He was very personable and professional. He explained to me what he would be doing and then proceeded with his inspection. After the inspection he sat down with me and reported his findings. He also took the time to make a list of problems he found and the cost to repair each. This way I could plan my expenditures towards these repairs. Sam is very knowledgeable, professional and In my opinion an asset to the A-1 team. Highly recommended.
Leo V. was very professional and very thorough. He took his time to explain a few things to us and did not rush to complete the job. He was very neatly dressed and put booties on to protect our wood floors without us having to ask him to do it, unlike some others. I only wish I could find more techs. like him for other jobs we have had. A great asset to your company. Thank you.
My Air Conditioner went out on Friday night and they had a whole brand new system installed by Tuesday afternoon. Excellent customer service, friendly staff, amazing communication.
Jeff was great! Arrived on time, very professional, thoroughly organized, and reviewed all work with me prior to leaving. Courteous, and made sure everything was neatly cleaned up.
We were LOYAL customers, had a membership and everything.... apparently that means nothing to this company. We scheduled a yearly maintenance OVER A MONTH AGO, took off work, made arrangements and so on... they emailed yesterday to confirm, i called them to confirm last night and THIS morning, 2 hours before my appointment, they called to tell me that other clients have taken priority and they may be able to still "squeeze me in" they just don't know when. I had an appointment.... then they wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor, they told me she would tell me the same thing. I am furious over this - but that's fine, COOL CLIMATE in Burleson was able to fit me in today no problem. I will NEVER call A #1 again.
Deonte was awesome. Great personality but also sharp. Just had a new furnace installed by A1 and the fan howled thru the farthest return like an F22. One of the techs told me it was the much higher volume of air moving thru and we d get used to it. Deonte took a pair of needle nose pliers and tweeked the blades on the return. Super quiet now.
Toby was great. He went over the process well and provided a quick quote. I would recommend him and A#1 Air to any one looking to get a new AC or do duct work.
I have always had amazing experiences with A #1. Yesterday, I had an even more amazing service. Technician AB (or Abdiel) came out and took a look at the AC in our new home. Not only was he very helpful and informative, but he was very nice and patient we were distracted with moving and children.
I cannot recommend A#1 Air after this experience, and am changing my service provider After having a set appt, company cancelled it on the day of. So, on the re-scheduled appt, we just received a "tune-up" inspection. Still have not had contact from company or tech explaining what could be done.
The invoice simply states: "Recommend new unit" How convenient. Just extremely disappointed
Our water heater went out on a Friday morning. I ve had work done by A#1 air previously and hoped they would be able to help with this as well. And they did! They were able to get Aaron out to my house within a couple hours. He wasted no time getting the old tank out, and before 3pm that same day he was done. Couldn t ask for much more than that! Great job again!
Excellent service. Technicians are always friendly, answer any question I throw at them, very fair and honest with pricing. One of the best companies I've ever had service my home. Brisco Palmer did an awesome job and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves.

It s so old we get a wooh man whenever someone walks in to fix something which is multiple times a year! The first plumber I had come out from A#1 told me my disposable needed to be fixed, as my old one was causing the backup in my kitchen sink. I replaced the old one, but it didn't fix the problem.
I called A#1 a second time and they sent out Jeff. He knew right away what the problem was and fixed it in no time at all. He was very polite and helpful. They did not charge me for the second fix, since they should have fixed it right the first time, which was very appreciated.
The customer service at A#1 is great. They are extremely informative about when your technician will arrive, often giving me several calls throughout the day on where I am at in line.
I was sucked in by the rave reviews too. When the tech came out to see the Unit, he didn't even touch the thing but started to say "O that's no good, this whole thing has to be changed and ducts cleaned for bacteria" He seemed nice but I didn't trust him. It looked like he just wanted to collect my $99 for service call when he barely did any service. He gave me a quote of approximately $8000. Said i needed freon also in addition to the bill which is $90 per pound
After he left I called another AC company who came on the same day, opened up certain parts of unit in the attic, checked stuff on the unit outside, checked and checked because i expressed my concerns from the A1 tech. Told me there was absolutely no need to change the whole thing, added Freon and viola. Paid $33 per pound and no more problems since.
Great service. Sam and Juan did a thorough job inspecting my unit and made good recommendations. Sam even noticed the backyard fence door where the A/C is was bad and fixed it for me; wen't above and beyond.
David B was the technician that made our service call. He is very knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service. I will ask for him for any future service calls. He made recommendations that were very helpful.
July 2nd, the beginning of a long holiday weekend in Texas, I woke up feeling a little warm. I looked at the thermostat and knew I had trouble. My old AC guy had become unreliable, but I'd heard positive things about A#1 Air. I called at 5:30am on a Saturday and was thrilled to get a human. Throughout the day, A#1 dispatchers contacted me from time to time, letting me know where I was on the dispatch list. They gave me one last call when technician Andy V. was about 5 minutes out.
Andy was a good guy to work with, explaining clearly what he was doing, and found the issue within minutes. Good people, great job!
I would not recommend using this company for AC repairs. The tech who visited my house tried to oversell me by a rediculous amount. Come to find out, my control board on my unit just needed to be plugged back in and the A #1 Air tech told me I AT LEAST needed a new $3,600 compressor, but they never recommend just replacing the compressor that it's better to get an entire new $15,000 system. On top of that, before he left, he went back into my attic and disconnected my control board so I was still left with no working AC. Had another HONEST company come out after who simply reconnected the control board and everything is working properly.
My unit has been out 5 months and after the winter storm my panel wasnt pulling enough electricity to warm up the water heater (no hot water for showers). With A1 they let you make monthly payments since i couldn't pay for everything to get fixed. I also received a free water heater. Everyone i have spoke to that is employed at A1 has been very helpful and very courteous.
Very sloppy work. According to paperwork, unit was filthy. Odd. Didn't look it to me, but I'm not the expert. Needed some freon, were advised price going up so we decided we'd better act fast. Service 4/24. My husband tried to wait as long as possible before using it, but after enough of my whining, he turned it on today. Luckily, he was paying attention. He immediately heard a horrible noise and assumed a twig had fallen in. He found that wasn't it. The technician did not put the wiring back into place and the blades were hacking away at it. Luckily, my husband is handy and took care of it.
$250 service and we almost ended up with a non- working unit that worked fine before your technician's arrival. Yes, we need a new unit in the near future. It certainly won't be from A1 Air.
Edit after receiving response: I noticed that the response is standard to all negative reviews. 'Making it right' would be charging for the freon only. ( and a discussion with the technician). After discussing it further with my husband, I was given additional negative feedback. it appears someone missed the customer relations segment in training.
After my water heater gave up and started leaking, A#1 Air was out next day to help me replace it. Both technicians were very helpful and knowledgeable in the industry. I would definitely call A#1 again for my air and plumbing issues!
Called A#1 Air for service and inspection of air system. Rocky Smith was the technician who inspected system and made recommendations for maintanance. Service was prompt and professional. Technician gave understandable explanation for items needing repair or service. I would recommend A#1 Air to persons needing air conditioning service or repair.

Austin wss great! Our a/c went out on Saturday evening, he showed up around 10:30 pm and I explained our 1 year old granddaughter was asleep in the room right where the attic access is. He was very careful to not wake her up while climbing in and out of the attic. He explained what he found and informed me that parts would be ordered and the problem would be fixed. He was great and we have had a fantastic first experience with A#1 and will be using them again in the near future. Thanks Austin!
DO NOT USE A#1. Every other review about them coming to service AC and then the tech trying to tell you something else is wrong, usually quoting $1k+, has absolutely been my experience. Every 6 months someone has come and told me something is wrong, something really expensive to fix, but they couldn't tell me why the previous person didn't see it.
We had a total install done. Our tech Matt was great. He worked on getting us the best price possible, he even came to our house on his day off to make sure the deal was complete so he could get the install crew out the next morning. The install leader Nathan and his crew did a really good job. They cleaned up very good when the job was complete. Nathan showed my husband everything that was done and explained how to use the thermostat before he left. I also want to mention Jeff in finance called me and talked me through the online paperwork. I feel like this is an all around good company and would highly recommend them.
We were so pleased when Matt B was the tech sent for yesterday's service call. He went above and beyond to figure out our unusual problem. Then he came up with a creative temporary solution to keep us cool until the new part comes in. Matt took his time and double checked our entire system. He also kept us informed and showed us the faulty part responsible for shutting our system down.
This was my first time working with A#1. My first impression was that they are very respectful of your time when scheduling, arrived on time for appointments, and communicated well in letting you know they were on the way. I worked first with Quincy who came and inspected our old system and he really spent time with me explaining what needed updating and changing. After taking a few days with discuss with my husband, I was able to call Quincy directly and he was able to come out out that morning, take measurements, and walk me thru the installation phase. Later that same day, Frank P. and Robert came out to do my installation. They were clean, respectful, efficient, and walked me thru all their work. Very comfortable with all the team members I worked with and will absolutely work with them in the future.
High-priced but trust-worthy. They were able to properly size a new system based on the industry standard, an ACCA Manual J heat load calculation, something most HVAC contractors cannot do or won't do. It took many hours of research but I did find more competitive pricing from another ACCA expert.
We had a technician come out for a second opinion on our unit. He was very friendly and spent 4 hours looking over our system. We ended up going with his recommendation. Not even a week later, our original issue started again. We called and talked to a manager and a senior technician was sent out the next day and said our issues had been misdiagnosed after we had spent $500 dollars. While the senior technician was great and they responded to us in a timely manor, our misdiagnosis of our unit and amount of money spent was a frustrating experience for us. We ended up paying another company $1000 to fix our issues, A#1 Air would have been almost double.
Called for service at 11 am, now it s 1130 pm, still haven t seen a service man, we have called numerous times Update: A#1 came back and fixed everything, we couldn t be more pleased with our system!!!
