After an april cold snap i realized that one of my heating units was blowing cold air.

I called on sunday evening and a person actually answered the phone and set me up for the next day.

Koyt came out and was extremely professional and even offered me observe for no extra charge! He diagnosed the problem being with my thermostat which I opted to replace myself. The total cost was a$59 service charge- it was a first for me as a home owner not to have some hvac guy try to sell me$10k new unit!

If I ever have the misfortune to need an HVAC repair in the future, this is who I will be calling

I called for service at 7:30pm on a Sunday night, when our condenser fan motor quit. Cameron arrived around 9:30pm and was done by 10:30pm... on a Sunday night! Cameron was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and honest. He earned a lifetime customer tonight.

a#1 air s commissioned sales boy charged me $600, when my home was covered under warranty... and (before), on top of that, I gave them $200 for a yearly service contract, to which they never refunded.., (the $600 & $200)after 4 calls. They left me on hold... they SUCK & I ll never use them again... & always speak the truth about them...

Adolfo, a lead tech came out to detect & determine our motor was going out on the unit in the attic causing the squirrel cage to make a very loud noise. He was fast, efficient, & very polite. When calling his manager for me, he explained my concerns EXACTLY as I had described to him & was able to get me a quick resolution. I've been with this company for several years & some appts have NOT gone quite as smoothly but I definitely have confidence in Adolpho as well as the repair scheduling crew who answer the phone & are very good at resolving & following up on any concerns you may have. Thank you A1 for your service!

I called for an estimate to replace an existing system, the tech came out and said he will email it by end of the day. Its been almost 10 days and I already called twice and asked for it. The rep asked me to hold and couple of minutes later hung up the phone. Very unresponsive and bad experience. Should have read some of the reviews first. Anyway, they will probably respond and say they were unable to verify my account and ask me to call their customer relations #... not interested anymore, I will give my business to someone else.

- Using A#1 for 2+ years for regular maintenance & their recommended repairs.
- HVAC broke down right before labor day weekend, which was 16 days from last HVAC maintenance by A#1.
- A#1 technician came out on same evening for repair (I'm thankful for)
- He diagnosed with coil leak with 2 options: 1) replace coil unit for $3,450 w/ 1-year warranty, 2) replace entire unit for little under $10,000 w/ 5-year warranty.
- Due to price, I mentioned about Home Warranty which he told me it only covers minor repair such as Freon refill, etc.
- I insisted and called home warranty (Landmark HW).
- HW technician came out next day with totally different diagnosis of burnt electrical part in blower motor.
- He replaced electrical part and now working better than new.
- I was ONLY charged service call fee of $75 by Landmark HW.
- I asked several time about coil leak to HW technician which he assured again and again that detector sensor doesn't show any leak at all.

- Result = $75 vs $3,450 (or possible $10,000).
- I don't get this... was this honest misdiagnosis by new hire by A#1???

(However, both technicians were courteous and punctual including A#1's)

I've been using A#1 Air for years now and have never been dissatisfied. They have always been professional and have never tried to take advantage of me by recommending something not really needed. After it was determined that my motor was no longer working on my 10+ year unit, Jay Thompson came by to go over units, pricing and what work needed to be done. Jay was awesome. He worked with me to get the best value. He laid out everything that needed to be done, so today, when Omar Banales, Francisco Trevino, Sr. and Francisco Trevino, Jr came to do the work, let's just say, they came and they conquered! They knew exactly what needed to be done and got the job done in much less time that I expected. I'm working from home and there were never any unnecessary disruptions. I am one very pleased customer, once again. I definitely highly recommend A#1 Air for all of your A/C needs!!

A#1 Air came out when my old a/c finally died. It was already super hot outside, and I am a disabled Veteran and needed to stay cool. I am on a fixed income, and could not afford to pay to much. The salesman took total advantage of the situation, and before I knew what was going on, he preasured me into buying a unit costing me over $17,000.00. I tried telling him I could not afford this, but he kept telling me my house would not cool down unless I purchased this unit.
Yesterday the city inspector in Fort Worth came to inspect the work, and I told him what I paid. He told me that A#1 air took total advantage of me. I cannot believe that I was taken advantage of, especially after telling them I am on a low fixed income. If you are elderly and on a fixed income Do Not Call A#1 Air They Will Take Advantage Of You.

Excellent service! I called on Sunday because our A/C wasn't cooling. The dispatcher took my information, told me what the trip charge would br, then called when I was second in line, and again when the technician was on the way. Wylie arrived promptly after that, and he was great! Very friendly, explained what he was doing, and found that the system was low on refrigerant. He told me up front what the charge was for the refrigerant. Wylie was quick but thorough, and a pleasure to work with.

Surprising, Kevin Wright is a young fella. I was a bit nervous about having someone so young work in my attic replacing an evaporator coil. But when I met him, he seemed very knowledgable and confident. I agreed to have him do the work. He and Austin Cross did an outstanding job. I hope A#1 Air takes good care of Kevin, because he will be the top technician very soon. A really sharp guy. I was impressed and his work was very good.

We ve had AC problems off and on for years now. We called a different company out and with in a few days had to call A1 Air to come fix what the other company didn t fix. Steve came out and took care of our problem with no problem and then explained why we will continue to have problems due to the age of our unit and how hard it was working. He gave a few quotes on new units and did not pressure us to buy one. He left and a few days later Jeff sent me a text checking on us and seeing if he could get us a good deal on a new AC unit. We talked with him and he was able to give us a great deal. The next day Hugo and Bobby showed up to install our new unit. Both of them were very friendly and knowledge about the unit and gave us great advice about how to keep our unit running at its best ability. The new unit works great. For the first time in years I can actually feel air blowing in our master bedroom.

Thanks A#1 Air for taking care of us so quickly and efficiently.

My 13 year old unit finally bit the dust on 9/24/1...

My 13 year old unit finally bit the dust on 9/24/15. I called A#1 and Alan Taylor arrived that same afternoon. He put a hard start unit on the old condenser and managed to get the old unit running again. Alan was very professional and worked diligently while at my home. He explained what he was doing and provided me with options of how long the "quick" fix may or may not last. I knew it was time to replace the old A/C unit so we discussed three price options for a new unit. I signed off on a $8700.00 deal and Alan scheduled the installation to begin on Monday, 9/28. On Monday, Guillermo and a helper showed up and began disassembling the old unit. They worked thru the morning and into the afternoon. These two guys worked hard. When finished Guillermo walked me through the scope of work he'd been assigned, I signed off on his paper and gave him a check. All in all it had been a good experience. The only reason I've not rated them 5 stars is because I've not heard from A#1 since Monday 9/28. No one has followed-up to ask me whether or not I'm satisfied with their personnel, service or the product. As good as the experience was on the front end of the deal they let me down on the back end.

We've had to do a few adjustments over these past few months and Corey White was just here working on a zoning issue we had been living with. Like all the A#1 technicians, Corey was professional, knew exactly what needed to be done and we are good to go. Highly recommend this company. Always top notch service

I was told that I needed to get both my inside and outside unit replaced by a local company for 10K. I was asked to contact your company by one of your current clients before I made any permanent decisions. Not only was I pleased with Toby Stanley's knowledge of what I needed, but he also was a genuine God fearing man. He helped me to understand what I needed and why. He also quoted me a lower price. I also got to do what I like the most and that is to share part of my journey with our Heavenly Father. On the day of install which was scheduled for today, March 25, 2016, because this company is here to serve you. I received a text from Mr. Stanley saying I would receive a better system at no extra cost to me. Look at God. It saved me about 2K. Then while the next set of very friendly and knowledgeable technicians (Oscar and Robert) were almost finished installing my new system, Oscar informed me that I would have to be upgraded to a Nest. I am so pleased that God sent them in my direction. I feel that I have made one of the best decisions regarding my home since I have purchased it.

This the second worst experience I've had with definitely not A1 NOTHING is 1 about this company I wish I could give a 0!!! Been waiting since 5pm patiently I knew they was gonna call with some BS...talking about they ran into issues at stop before mine have enough decency to call ahead we would have went with second choice, no we get a call at 1030 saying we can be first thing In the morning! !!!! Tried giving them another chance after we were overcharged for a thermostat. ...if that technician would have checked the unit before he left we probably would not be going down this road.....I will never refer this company to anyone else, also filing a complaint with the BBB...

Jeff came with a good attitude, and after trying a couple of different pieces of equipment decided to go to his office to get additional equipment, came back promptly to finish, never showed frustration and left with as good of an attitude as when he came.

Excellent recovery...had 2 new full HVAC systems installed in my home...had an issue with one of the units...also had a scheduling snafu...was slightly frustrated...

I called in...Cody handled my call with such professionalism, kindness, and concern for my issue...he hand picked Felix to come out and take a look at the issue.

Felix...I cannot say enough about this guy...he fixed the problem, explained it to me so well that I feel like an expert on this particular issue (pictures and all), and did it with such grace that I was seriously moved...this guy is on his game!

I petition for Cody and Felix to both get a raise or at least some recognition for how they took care of my situation.

A#1 Air came through again for me (home and my business).

Jose and Ivan are rock stars! They are both friendly and efficient at their work. We had a well hidden return vent that was missed in the initial cleaning. They had all the equipment loaded on the truck and were ready to leave, when I pointed out this really well hidden vent (it is actually inside a cabinet!)

They didn't bat an eye. They just said, "well, it's a return so let's do it". They hauled the equipment back in and finished the job in short order. All the time they had a great attitude, and even joked about it.

It's hard to find this caliber of people in any industry these days. A #1 Air has earned all my business in the future. Well done!!!

Steer clear for plumbing issues! Terrible customer service as well! $388 to unclog a drain. The guy was real friendly and the drain seems to be draining much better but the job took less than 20 minutes and i feel like the total cost should've been closer to $180. I'd give more stars if the price was more reasonable.

They were great! They were able to slip me in the same day, they said they knew we had little ones so they wanted to make sure we were taken care of since we had been without AC. Noel took the time to make sure we knew everything and understand everything fully with our new AC system. I would recommend them to anybody.

I had 3 A/C units at my home that were the original units installed over 15 years ago. We have been putting "band-aids" on them fro the past 3-4 years trying to get them to last as long as possible knowing that it was going to be a large expense to completely replace them. In April, they were already struggling to cool our home and we knew there would not be able to last another summer with the extreme heat. I begin researching local A/C companies on a Sunday night and emailed (or called) 10 different companies to start the process. By 11:00a Monday I already had 6 companies come by my home and 4 written estimates that afternoon. Since I was able to visit/interview all the companies and options within a short period, it was clear to see that some companies were only interested in getting a sale while some actually took the time to measure my home, inspect the existing lines, etc., educate me on my options and finally, show me which systems would be best for my home and why. Patrick with A#1 Air was by far the most through and knowledgeable of those I met with. His followup after our initial meeting was persistent but not overwhelming or annoying. I narrowed my selection down to two companies....finally awarding my business to A#1. They were out the next day! The technicians (Dave and Herlin) were extremely polite, knowledgeable and professional. 2 system were completed the first day and the 3rd system was finish the next morning. I inspected the new equipment in the attic and outside the home and was very impressed by the attention to detail, quality of work and the care they used during the process. (Patrick and the installation team wore shoe covers every-time they entered my home!) It has been a week since the new units were installed and I'm ecstatic! I monitor my electric usage on a daily basis through an app on my phone and the new systems are using significantly less kWh than the old system. The other huge improvement my wife mentioned is that we never even notice when the air is on now...the house is just always cool. There are no longer any drafty areas or spots in the house that blast you with cold air. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A#1 AIR.

I had 2 things that needed repairs, leak in the outside faucet and a problem with the sprayer in the kitchen. Jeff fixed the problem outside right away and did a great job. He then quickly identified the problem with the sprayer but had to order a part. Said it might be a couple of days. Jeff was able to get the part that evening and my sprayer issue was resolved by noon the next day. Great job and prices are reasonable.

Iam very disappointed i have my grandmother and my mom staying with me and my grandmother has a heart problems and i called last night and told them the air wasn't blowing and it is hot in side the house and we just got a new unit a couple of months ago they said they will send someone out tomorrow between 2 pm and 6 pm when i got home today i called and they told me it would be closer to 7pm iam so mad and hot i wish i would have picked someone else what happened to 24 hour service ?

A#1 Air has been maintaining my systems for over 9 years and we did a full systems replacement a couple of years back. During my quarterly checkup, Sam Andrei noticed that my evaporation coils were defective and immediately proceeded to replace the unit. Sam walked me though issue and explained the warranty coverage. Thanks Sam for the great job and professionalism and as always I appreciate the A#1 Air team.

Representative came to my house to write an estimate for a new heat pump system. He was not masked and did not offer to wear one. I made the mistake of allowing him in to just get some info on the indoor and outdoor components while I waited in another room. While inspecting the indoor system, he coughed, uncovered, three times.

At that point, I asked him to leave and text the estimate from his truck...but on further reflection, that doesn't even matter. If this is an example of how you handle your COVID responsibilities and your customers' health, I don't want you to send a crew into my home for several hours.

Collin County likely has 5,000 or 10,000 active cases right now. Your sales people, entering multiple homes every day, likely contact a COVID carrier once a week. Even if you don't care about your employees' health, you should have more concern for your customers.

Very pleased. We have used A#1 Air for 15+ years to service our AC/Heat and both our units were installed by them. Our house recently took a lightening strike early on a Saturday morning. We called A#1 Air knowing they could help us with electrical, AC as well as plumbing for the gas line. We like that they have the people that can address all issues and it only takes one call. Their service has been excellent. William W. was out to our house that same morning to check our electrical. He also arranged to have a plumber come out to repair the flex gas line to our heater on Sunday and request an AC tech to evaluate the AC units. Ali S was out early Sunday morning and had repairs completed on the gas line. Brycen C was out Saturday as well to evaluate the AC units and get our downstairs unit working. He arranged to have Robert H come out to replace the attic fans that had been hit and followed up for us to have Nate A check out the upstairs AC unit. Very professional and hard working group of technicians. Kept us informed all along the way!

My air conditioning failed overnight in the June h...

My air conditioning failed overnight in the June heat. One call to A#1 Air and Manny was here to diagnose the problem in the morning. My 12 year old condenser unit had to be replaced and the whole team made it happen quickly. Ron and Chris installed the new unit in less than 2 hours and took the time to explain everything to me, even putting in a quieter foundation pad for the condenser. Very happy and very cool now!

He used that frendly talk with a smile and He preasured me on getting everything fom interior unit to new pipes. He said those units were outdated and were no longer made. I got an estimate close to 10 grand. ( I GUESS THATS HOW THEY GET THERE BONUS. PUSHING COSTUMERS TO PAY FOR MORE THAN THEY NEED) OTHER COMPANY CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR LESS THAN 1GRAND. (AND THEY GOT A BRAND NEW UNIT WICH MIKE SAID WERE NO LONGER MADE.)

We were dealing with a full system shutdown. No power to any components, anywhere, even after flipping all the breakers. Turns out the condensation drainpipe wasn't draining, due to a backlog of cruft where the drainpipe meets the trap under the bathroom sink. Mike knew precisely what to do, took care of it all. He hung back after he got things working to a) describe what the problem was and what he'd done, and b) to wait for some time to pass so that he could verify everything was still good to go. 10/10 would be quite happy to have him again.

Came home from vacation to a hot house - blower motor had failed and coil froze over. Called A#1 Air and Mike came out that night. Motor was replaced, system diagnostic check, clean and recharge was completed within 24 hours (would have been sooner but the blower motor was a special order OEM part). Mike was exceptional - professional and informative. I have been a member with A#1 Air going on 4 years now and have always valued their expertise, quality performance and workmanship. Thanks Mike and extended team!

Francisco Portales (and his assistant Jose M.) was absolutely top-notch. I was concerned about how they were going to get the old system out of the attic and get the new one up there, without causing any damage. However, he took the time to explain everything to me. They worked so hard (all day long), and did a great, thorough job. When finished, he asked me to come up in the attic to look at the new HVAC system. Then he explained everything they did. And although I know he had to be tired, he seemed more excited as he talked with me. He obviously took pride in his work.

He fits the high standards of A#1 Air. James is professional, personable and very knowledgeable. He got my a.c. running smoothly again. He strongly recommended that I have my vents cleaned without trying to oversell or pressure me. I am very pleased with everything about A#1 Air and James M. :-)

Michael Sweeney worked outside the house for 3+ hrs. He was quite loud while he worked and played music.

Honestly? I let it go because this was about 3 weeks of WAITING for the A#1 to fix an issue that was covered by our warranty.

What I COULDN'T let go was Michael walking into our home without even so much as a courtesy knock. No mask or anything.

My husband and I rushed to put masks on. When my husband asked Michael to go outside, Michael refused. My husband asked again... Michael stayed inside. *I* asked him to leave and he just flat-out ignored me.

When my husband ushered him out, Michael said, The pandemic s over.

Outside he proceeded to berate my husband for not making it clear that we wanted him to wear a mask.

Michael showed up WITH A MASK ON. He left it in our backyard as a good reminder of that.

I know the governor dropped the mask mandate, but A#1 Air said that employees are required to wear PPE at all times.

Instead, Michael decided to say "COVID is debatable." Which was his follow-up when my husband told him that the pandemic is still on-going.

Pandemic aside, this man just came into our home without permission. Our dog could have attacked him.

When we called A#1 Air, they basically just asked how we wanted to handle payment... Like "Yeah... so how about that bill?"

We won't pay until we know how they're going to resolve this.

When A#1 Air called again, it wasn't in response to the service, but to my husband's reply in their How did we do? email.

We're in limbo right now, but we're not happy campers.

*UPDATE*

A Sales Manager named Corey says they will eat the bill, but Michael will only be written up.

A different technician will also be coming by tonight (supposedly free of charge) to double-check Michael's work and to clean up what Matthew left behind.

My husband, justifiably upset, did curse a bit. Corey informed my husband that if my husband didn't watch his language that he wouldn't help at all.

I'm all for trying not to curse in situations like this, but A#1 has an obligation to remedy the situation f bombs or not.

They sure are spending at lot of $$$$ on TV commercials. That $$$$ has to come from somebody, mainly customers. Over $10,000 for a new system that costs them under $3000 to buy. Now come on man!!!!

Still waiting for my appt. I called because the technician the other day didn t turn the furnace back on. So I have gas leaking in to my house. I was told that a lot of people don t have air conditioning working. I understand that. This is life and death. I have gas leaking in my house. We can die from this. I have a kid crying because he is terrified to be in this house. But don t worry A#1 air. I m still making my payments on my air conditioner I bought. Unless my house blows up.

He actually came by 4 days early, guess they got a last minute opening. Chase was very nice and professional. He checked out the AC unit, explained everything he was doing. Chase showed me the readings on his meter as well.
He was honest, told me what my options were and why. He didn't try to sell me an over sized, top of the line unit. But gave me recommendations based on my needs and what size my old AC is. I would definitely recommend A#1 Air, and will use their service again.

I called on a Sunday expecting to schedule a visit...

I called on a Sunday expecting to schedule a visit for Monday and found that A#1 could be at my house today. I gladly accepted the offer for A#1 to come out and shortly after hanging up with the scheduler, I was called by the dispatcher indicating that I had one visit in front of me and I would get another call when the technician was headed my way. A short 7 minutes later the technician was headed my way. Josh arrived promptly after the call. I gave him a complete description of the issue and it took him longer to take the cover off the compressor than it did to take him to diagnose the issue. In other words, I was impressed. He immediately diagnosed that a capacitor had failed, grabbed a replacement, tested the replacement to ensure it was within tolerance, installed the capacitor and my AC was working again. He then provided some basic maintenance tips on how to keep my compressor running good and also provided some tips on drainage for the handler in the attic. After he left, I went to work and his tips proved to be 100% accurate which resolved another issue I had.

At the end of the day, I was thoroughly impressed with the visit from A to Z. Although the visit was very short, Josh's knowledge of HVAC systems appears to be very impressive and I would gladly call upon A#1 again if something goes awry with my AC unit.

I was most impressed by Matt S competency and guidance regarding my A/C system. Matt came to my home on a tuneup and talked to me about the issues with my unit. He educated me on my choices, gave me options and made me feel like it was my choice and didn t make me feel pressured in anyway. He was a joy to talk to and a great asset to his company.

Today Sam and Colton from A#1 air spent the better...

Today Sam and Colton from A#1 air spent the better part of the day in my house helping to replace my AC evaporator coil, plenum, and also level my unit. The original unit installed by Tempo when my townhome was built was NOT level at all (so much even I could see the issue after Sam pointed it out). It was causing mildew and rust to build up inside my unit. I have to say Sam and Colton worked SO HARD today wearing masks the whole time and covers l over their shoes. They were patient with my questions and meticulous about the work performed and made sure no mess was left for me. It was incredibly hot today and the equipment they had to carry up to my attic (on the 4th floor of my townhome) looked insanely heavy. But these two guys never complained. They were friendly and helpful the ENTIRE day - even though I m pretty sure they worked through lunch HAD to be exhausted. They patiently explained the new unit to me, made sure I understood how it worked and where to pour the solution to keep the drain from clogging. Before installation (previous visit) Sam did a great job taking pictures and showing me the problem inside my unit so I could understand the true current state of affairs inside my unit (that I couldn t normally see) and make an informed decision without pressure from him about my next steps. They even helped me with my questions about which motors controlled the airflow to the three different zones in my house. I am extremely picky about Customer Service but these guys were so honest, so hard working, and just all around helpful - I d totally have them back to help with all my HVAC needs in the future. Five Stars all the way for A#1 air - and it s folks like Sam and Colton that are why I ve been a customer for so long.
