Cable and Internet speed is TERRIBLE. Customer service takes FOREVER to answer and will NEVER call back. The prices start of great but increase at a very fast rate. Not worth it . 6 months and I was DONE. Please don't waste your time.

Customer service worse than McDonald s!!! Somehow your automatic monthly payments can stop randomly and when you try to explain that you re only a day behind because of this very fact you re charged $100 on top of your bill. Not to mention the $200 termination fee if you don t want to keep your contract with them.

Nobody knows what they re doing and they re almost too bothered to even try. You might as well go with any other ISP if you have the option. If I had the option to never experience my time with this company I would be thrilled

Signed up for 1gb/sec service. After 2 hours the technician got the internet working but the speed was 30mb/sec. Called technical support the woman was impossible to understand, she reset the router three times then hung up on me. Second tech said internet was 970 MB too slow because we weren t using google chrome. Choosing this company was a mistake the technical support staff is outsourced and moronic.

It was great at first. But after a few months internet started to slow down or become interrupted. Resets of all hardware became a daily norm and the go to resolution from wow. When I signed up I was told that unlike Comcast I would be on my own node & not be sharing with my neighbors. This turned out to be a lie. Very disappointed in the company, I honestly thought it would be different & better than the big providers. I am with AT&T and pretty happy now.

I am putting my 2 cents in at the middle of the road (3 stars) for now, as I've just signed up for the WoW100 Internet-only plan with a month-to-month no-contract arrangement coming in right at $44.99. So here's the deal. First time I called in and provided my requirements, (ie internet-only, no contracts), I was quoted for this same speed @ 100MBps, but at their advertised rate of $49.99 w/out contract. Turned around, spoke to AT&T about my options if I choose to cancel, and decided to call WoW back once more before officially scheduling termination of AT&T - as I wanted them to confirm they have NO data caps. I was informed that it was unlimited during this (2nd) call. Also on this call I was given a $44.99/mo rate for the same deal I was the first time I called. So then I said ok great, thank you.. Called AT&T and officially scheduled termination - as they simply could not would not meet anywhere near the price of WoW for the same 100MBps speeds. For the third and final time, I contact WoW to iron out the specifics and get an internet account activation appt scheduled with the technician. This third rep was back up to the rate of $49.99/mo for the same service. I said the last time I called in I was sold the same service for a monthly amount of just $44.99, so why has it gone back up now to $49.99? She asked me to hold briefly while she reviewed something.. Next thing I know she's telling me they would be able to honor their 100MBps/monthly rate service plan for the $44.99 cost I was previously promised. I then asked her if what she was telling me is that if I hadn't had spoken up, I would have been forced into paying an extra $5/month for no explainable reason? She said well no sir, that is a promotional offering that we don't normally provide but in this case we can. I said well what's the difference in this case now and the last time I called in because if I hadn't spoken up you weren't going to provide me with that promotional discount. Her response was that it's typically on a case-by-case basis and would usually just depend on how the conversation went and so she wasn't offering me the discount because she didn't know how the previous conversation had gone that I had with another rep. I told her that sounded like a very selective and inconsistent business model that makes me very uncomfortable about doing business. From there of course, she just tried to play into the fact that I was receiving the discount, indicating that I should go ahead and opt to take advantage of it... Yes, I very much so intend to take advantage of it, thank you. I'd just like to understand why you get treated differently and sold different rates if you call in on more than one occasion in the same day? Seems incredibly dishonest and unfair. So I hope everyone has taken the time to read this review of my experience as I'm taking the time to share to WARN and ADVISE YOU --- ASK ABOUT PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNTS AND CALL MORE THAN ONCE -- Since evidently that's what it takes to learn what rates are actually available to you.

I will say that having next-day tech installation has the potential to be a very nice perk for new customers, but we'll still have to wait and see just how well that plays out tomorrow. I will also update this review in around 2 months once I've had the chance to use and evaluate the consistency in speed and reliability of WoW 100MBps Internet Services.

Since we ve had the service we ve continued to complain about the Internet speed. We ve had several technicians come out some don t even know how to fix the problem or the products that we have in the home. That there were wow was equipment. We ve been promised 1g of speed which we paid for and we only get 115 MB per second. We Continue to call about the problem and get the runaround. Being told that we would have to make another appointment another technician will come out.

My husband is active duty military and we PCSed to Alaska back in June and requested our service be cancelled June 12th. We are still being billed! When I called to find out why we were still being billed over 7 weeks after I canceled services I was told that the rep wasn t sure because she did see a note that the service was suppose to be cancelled back in June.

I don't like doing bad reviews. But the service is intermittently unreliable. The router needs to be reset constantly. Service calls booked and then no one shows up. The appointment canceled. Even though text reminders are sent to confirm the appointment that they have already canceled. Advised to call to confirm appointments, even when receiving multiple text reminders. Very disappointed, but there is no alternative here.

Now I'm being told that I won't be credited back my $87 credit for 60 to 90 days. Essentially they're holding my $87 for 3-4 months for now reason.

Worst internet installation experience ever. Service techs were over 3 1/2 hours late. No one called me to let me know they were running late/what the new eta would be. The guy who set me up with my appointment wouldn't answer any calls or texts during this time. When I called the 1-888 number, the representive I spoke with actually hung up on me. And when I finally got connected with a supervisor, they told me they couldn't get ahold of dispatch. I'm so dissatisfied with this company it isn't even funny.

Worst service ever! Internet was installed a month ago without issue. the day after installation. some guy is walking across our lawn he's the "inspector" he tells us. Two Days later we have a cable cord running from our neighbors lawn, down the end of our driveway across the entire front lawn to the side of our house. I call because I want to know why this wire shows up, and could it have anything to do with our computer running at a much slower speed than what we are paying for? They send out another technician I am told that we will not be charged for this person to come out. He feeds us some stupid excuse that our laptop isn't equipped to handle the speed. The next day, Another "inspector" comes out just wandering on our lawn, he tells us someone will be out to bury cord in 5-10 business days. Internet supposedly wasn't correctly installed initially. It's now a month later and the cord is still there. I just spent over 2 hours on the phone trying to get an answer as to why I was charged a second 50.00 technician fee, and why hasn't cord been buried. Thanks for wasting my time!

Military, so I've had a lot of different cable companies. This is the worst service I've ever encountered, and a fine example of what happens when you only have one choice for providers. Get a cellular antenna and a WiFi hotspot from your cell provider. 10 times better.

Prices will randomly increase without warning or reason. With other companies I've been with there is always a heads up at the beginning of the contract that says something along the lines of "after 12 months your bill will raise to $XXX." Not with WOW, the will randomly raise your monthly bill without any warning. I canceled my service today after receiving my most recent bill for $154 for ONE cable box, basic cable and internet, an increase of about $30 from the previous month with the same service. Customer service is horrid and going to the actual WOW location on Wheeler to turn in cable boxes or anything else is worse than going to the DMV. I'm pretty sure the only reason they are still in business is because they have entire apartment complexes in Augusta that is the "primary cable" company.... Oh and the fact that they will randomly raise your bill..... I'm sure that part helps fatten their pockets. Customer service and honesty in the cable industry is dead.

The service is horrible, but the people are great. There is a continuous issue with the service and the wires outside, and every time someone comes out they charge me for an issue that I have no control over. I am yet to get good service. I'm paying for something that I never seem to get. The internet drops every 20 minutes are so. They said it was my modem. I went to get a new one, same issue. They said it was a wire outside, they said they fixed it. It worked for a few hours then went back to how it was. It's beyond frustrating. I 100% will not recommend.

I was greeted promptly and cheerfully upon entering. While Shannon was my primary customer service provider, all three ladies were more than efficient and helpful. I ask a lot of questions, and Shannon was very patient and personable with me. The process took longer than I assume it usually does as there was a system update finishing at the same time as I was wanting to set up my internet service. The ladies were very helpful in accommodating my schedule for the installation process also. It would be nice to be able to contact this location directly with questions however. Overall, I have had a great first time experience with WOW. I will update after a few weeks if the internet quality is not as good as the customer service.

I don't have a problem with the service provided, but the customer service and the billing is trash. If you have no choice but to deal with them, check your bill statements. They will change your plan without you knowing and then tell you it's your fault when you dispute the charges... And they might even hang up on you.

Price increases, even after they provide discounts for not canceling, to cancel out any discounts they did give you. I lost channels and was paying more than I would have with a competitor for more without a promotional deal and an increase in channels and HBO, etc. The internet was the only things that didn't give me issues. The main problem is that they are the only provider for The Parc at Flowing Wells Apts in Augusta, GA. So, you either get rapped by WoW!, hope you are in an apartment thato could get Satellite, or go completely without.

Wow has been great. I had some concern when they changed from Knology. I have 100mbps down and 15mbps up clocked direct to my PC and clocked through my router it's 98mbps down and 12mbps up. So if your'e having slow speeds, you might want to upgrade your router.I had to. Most of the older ones cannot handle the speed and will slow you down. The customer service dept. has always answered the phone right away and have not had any problem getting tech support on the phone or any prolonged wait times. I've been with them for 4 years now and wouldn't switch. I've used most of the other providers in the area and would never do business with any of them again.

Had internet install for my mother-in-law. When the tech was finished, I noticed they had spelled her name wrong which I promptly pointed out. He responded that it would be fixed. When the bill arrived, they error had not been corrected. She called WOW and was told that she would have to go in to one of the offices to get it fixed. The closest office is about 25-30 miles away - She is elderly... I called and am being told the same thing - I described the situation several times and am being told the same thing. You mean to tell me that there is no one AT ALL in the call center that has the power to fix a simple issue such as this so as not to but an elderly woman thru this sort of thing? Even a younger person should not be subject to this sort of thing when it was the fault of the company and NOT the customer.

This is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with in my adult life. I wish I could give them negative stars for how awful the experience was. Working from home has been difficult since I rely on internet so much to work, and there were frequent outages throughout my years with WOW that lasted hours in the middle of the day. This probably occurred every 1 to 2 weeks at least once and made staying connected to my coworkers difficult. Couple this with the fact that the Internet was ALWAYS poorly performing with spotty connectivity, and the entire experience was pretty much awful. On my final call to (thankfully) disconnect my service before my move, I was on the phone for over 40 minutes, was transferred 4 times, and dialed through their switchboard all the way to the service disconnect option TWICE all to be told by the 4th employee that she could only disconnect my service if I gave her my new address and it was NOT serviceable. This is certainly a scam to make disconnecting as difficult as possible and is probably not even legal. Luckily my new address wasn't even serviceable by her so she was conveniently able all of a sudden to disconnect my line when I began losing my cool and asking for a supervisor. What a joke this company is!

Ordered medium cable package, and Internet. Included one free premium channel. Got digital box and using my own wireless modem. Everything was good right, until I got my bill. They charged for a rental on a modem box I'm not renting and and two premium channels that I did not ask for. Called customer service and they did take the modem rental off, but will have to pay for the premium channels because someone at the local office had a note on there that I requested them, which I didn't and the paperwork reflects that. So now more time wasted to ride down to the local office and show them the paper work and have these charges removed. Already have trouble with just two weeks of service. The cable and Internet are OK for now. And by the way you'll get hit with about $20 in fees and taxes. I'm sure these will be raised in the near future. I really don't who's worst WOW or Comcast. Gave the two stars because it does work, and for trying to give and make me pay for services I did not order or want. Cable and cell phone companies got you when there is not competition.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Seriously do not get in a contract with this company. They randomly shut off your service and over charge for no reason !! We had a 500 charge on our account we weren't even aware of and we called and they didn't even know what it was ! We have to constantly monitor our service to make sure it's still going and they aren't randomly charging us. Also dont even bother calling their customer service. You'll be on the phone for 5 hours. Cant wait till this year is over so we can get out of this stupid contract. Worse service ever. ( currently on hold for the 5th day in a row because our internet has been turned off again because they felt like it, but at least they are getting money :) )

Generally speaking, the service is adequate, although the options and flexibility in menus and free content is way below Xfinity. The internet part works fine. However, the biggest complaint I have with Wow is their refusal to support true voip so customers can sign up for the free 'nomorobo' service.

Robo calls have become a galactic waste of time and annoyance, to the point that we're considering just disconnecting our land line. Wow's competition where we live is Xfinity, which has its own issues but they do support noborobo. Having a service to block numbers after they've called (which is not even free) is all but useless. I have that capability on my phone and it does very little; the scammers change phone number daily.

Please Wow, step up and help your customers. Sure, it may cost you some money to enable true voip for simultaneous ringing but your competition does it.

If you're in the military and leave before your contract is up, just bring in your orders and they'll waive the fees for breaking the contract early with no hassle or hesitation.

They put you on hold and never come back. Then you start over again with another person. Local office won't help you. They constantly change her bill, again she has to call. When I moved here, this was the only internet service I could get. I honestly regret signing up for the 24 month plan. You may save $240 bucks in the long run, but you will be charged more than that to cancel.

If you get this service, and you want WoW to manage the modem, be prepared to get a modem that cannot support the internet speed you are paying for. They will provide you a modem that cannot handle high speeds.

If you chose to go the route of managing your own modem, be prepared to have WoW accuse you, your modem, and your devices being the problems and not them. You may save money, but you will have headaches.

Do not call out for a technician unless you can afford it. They will charge you even if the technician shows up with no tools to do the job.

The technicians, the technician dispatch, and the helpdesk do not do a good job of communicating with each other. Whenever I had someone out at my place, the technician had either the wrong information or no information of what to possibly troubleshoot. I would also have to explain all of the past visits to the technician since there is never any history.

My place has very bad wiring, and this was determined multiple times on with different technicians. Technicians takes notes but WoW has not done anything. I honestly don't know if I want them to, since they may charge me to MACD the lines they provisioned years ago!

Just another cable/phone internet service... get ready for the surprise charges! They are the only service that is provided in the apartments that I live in. So I'm kind of forced to use their horrible service. The guy who came to setup my internet didn't know anything more than to plug a cable in a wall to a box. I asked him to place the modem/router in bridge mode because I have a nighthawk x4 that will do the routing. The first installer had no clue what I was talking about and left just because his box was working. I called customer service to get a technician out here. The technician replaced the modem/router because it would not go into bridge mode and wrote on the notes that there was nothing wrong with it ( IT WOULD NOT GO INTO BRIDGE MODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) So WOW charges me $50 for him to come out, mind you they charged me for the first guy to come out that had no idea what he was doing. If you can get another internet service provider it is highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got WOW installed on April 2, 2016 and it has been the absolute WORST cable experience ever!! Locating programs is super complicated, as you have to find the first letter of the program you want to watch and then SCROLL through all the shows until you find what you're looking for. Recording shows is just as complicated, if not worse!! The television is constantly blinking on both televisions with the DVRs. The interface alone looks outdated....like Comcast did in 2000!! The prices are lower than other providers, but I guess you get what you pay for. I'd rather pay more money than to deal with WOW cable!! The internet service however is pretty good, so I will give 1 star!

WOW! Internet is by far the worst internet service I have ever had. I moved about a year ago and bought a house. The people i bought the house from had WOW service also. When i had them come and connect my service they did not take the previous owners card information out of the system. When my first bill came they charge the previous owners and not me. The previous owners had the payment returned (completely understand I would have done the same). Since the payment was returned on my account I can no longer make any online payments, automatic payment, or payments over the phone. My account is now restricted from online payments until the year 2100. I do not feel comfortable sending a check to CO. and have it go missing and my bill not get paid. The one and only store that we have here in my area has been closed. I am now 2 months behind on my payments and have. Called customer service over a dozen times and no one can help me. When I tried to explain and cancel my service they told me i would be charged an early cancellation fee of $160. If i could give this service 0 or negative stars i definitely would. Horrible service!!!

I'll be honest here. I actually enjoy wow and just use the internet only. Have the 600/40 package and trust me, they give me everybit of it. I was a former Comcast Customer... and if you never were, you would never complain. Everytime I called, I had no issues with service calls or changing packages. Most people will complain rather than saying something good, but after 6 months... I am pretty damn happy.

They have increased the fee by $2.00 even though I was originally told that the fee would remain the same for the first year. On top of that when I called about the change in rate the first time they apologized and siad that it was their mistake. Where to begin. This is the worst internet service provider I've ever dealt with. The installation tech was several HOURS late with zero notification. I had to call the service line at least 3 times before they would give me an ETA. When he installed the router, I pointed out that it didn't seem to be working properly. The tech ignored my concerns and left, leading to me having to get the equipment reinstalled several days later. I am now having to go pick up a THIRD router because the current one doesn't have functioning ethernet ports (I'm converting my PC from wi-fi to ethernet). The advertised speeds are a sham, you'll never get anything approaching them and if you ask the techs about it they'll suggest you manually "change the channels" on your router (doesn't work). Reliability is nonexistent and you'll be restarting your router frequently. If you have ANY other option for reliable internet, use it.
