Once it was said to me if you would drive volvo you never want another car.
Unfortunately, I have experienced a bad experience. If you buy an expensive car (new) then you expect quality but both the dealer and Volvo Netherlands have definitely disappointed me. The car has not driven 45,000 km and already has problems with the help cylinder and more misery. They still dare to say that it comes from wear and tear, if I had driven more than 150000 km then I found it credible. Because it is out of warranty, they leave me in the cold. I find it very shabby that she should not come across me at all. Next time no Volvo. No more !!!!

At the end of 2016 I bought a new XC90 from van Roosmalen in Best. One of the options that could be purchased was a DAB + receiver and a better audio installation from B&W. After 4 months suddenly the trouble started with the DAB + reception. Every minute the DAB + reception disappeared while driving, and reception was not possible at 80% of the locations, even if you were standing still. Called from Roosmalen and the problem turned out to be known there. Dropped by for a software update, but it was not possible to indicate how long this update would take because the software had to be downloaded from Sweden, and if America was awake it could take several hours before the file was received. (I got the idea to be back in the 80's) Waited a few hours, to find out after this update that the result was 0. Then I came back for the 2nd time, another SW file, again had to wait a long time, again no result. Then they got the idea to part of the replacing hardware would really solve the problem. But even after a 3rd time, no result. Then agreed to replace a larger part of the hardware. For example, very special, it was said, even a part of the assembly line in the factory would literally be picked to help me quickly (which is fast after 3 months of complaining). After a few weeks I was able to come by. During this 4th visit I received a loan car, a V40, for the first time. Here I literally drove from the business in Veldhoven to Eindhoven to my house, and the next day back to Veldhoven to pick up my XC90. This was a total of about 25KM. When I returned the loaner car, I was told that the problem of DAB + reception was suddenly no longer the car, but because of the weak signal from the stations that broadcast it. The result, no receipt was still exactly the same, no receipt, even at their location in the workshop. When I said that a simple DAB + receiver from the viewing shop of 50 euros instead of 4000 euros (incl B&W speakers) in my car did have a perfect signal in the XC90, it was said that this had to do with the position of the antenna in the car . This position had to meet all Volvo safety requirements and was therefore well hidden in the car. (design flaw?) In addition: For a car in this price range, you would still expect software updates, which this car apparently needs over the air or, if necessary, to be loaded via WiFi at your home. Had already saved me 4 out of 8 rides. Remains as an alternative to digital radio that you can install Spotify or Tune In. If this works, and you guessed it, this does not work, you could get the data by connecting the XC90 via WiFi to your own hotspot of your phone. However, when they sold this XC90, they forgot to mention that not all WiFi networks can be found by the XC90. For example, all "Netgear Aircard" hotspot boxes are not supported. Only all iPhones and the newer Samsung devices do. in short: For digital audio, DAB +, Spotify, Tune in use, you don't have to be with Volvo. After expressing my dissatisfaction, I thought I had accepted everything and tried to forget it. However, after a few days I received a letter from Volvo. I thought for a moment: would they have a solution after 8 trips to their workshop, and I could take advantage of my 4000 euro audio improvement costs. But nothing could be further from the truth. It was an invoice of 5 euros and 50 cents for the 25 km petrol I drove home and back to the garage!
Not much later I had to top up for oil at the branch in Best, and I quoted the story of the 5 euro invoice. Best wanted to cancel this invoice from Veldhoven, positive. A few days passed, again mail from Volvo. A reminder of the 5.50 euro invoice.

Unfortunately, this review would have liked to have been made higher. However, because of empty agreements from VCNL, they get 1 star from me. Cars are apparently written off after 8 years at Volvo. Many parts no longer available. (I have been waiting for more than 8 months for a simple engine mount. 8 months !!) If you make a report they promise to call back. We are now almost a month further and I have not heard anything anymore. Unfortunately.

But start looking for a different brand.

Importer of Volvo in the Netherlands. If you are interested in a new car and your local dealer does not have the model, it is worthwhile to visit Beesd. There are usually even more cars in the showroom.

Yes, and if you have an appointment and you have not noted it, then Jan Joker is a good place for you. Precisely then, flexibility and creativity could help. As a customer, I think you can expect that to come. Unfortunately

Very arogant lady on the phone. Absolutely not customer friendly. So bad that I just called another Volvo dealer who was happy to connect me to the warehouse. Without asking why .... That's customer friendly !!!!

You do not need to expect help from Volvo Cars for...

You do not need to expect help from Volvo Cars for problems with the Volvo dealer, for example, why a dealer is excellent, or how you can still get a part that is officially no longer available.

My Volvo dealer said that I did not know anything about my Volvo 091 parking heater. That is why I asked Volvo Cars which dealer has experience with that. Instead, the Volvo dealer had to solve it himself from Volvo Cars, without any help, such as a workshop manual for this heater. I found it myself later, a manual published by Volvo itself.

The Volvo dealer was unable to solve a problem with the cardan shaft vibrating and humming after replacing the intermediate bearing. Volvo Car Netherlands did not help me and the dealer to solve this problem.
Not even after I have confronted the dealer with all the errors in the PTO shaft and did not want to do anything about it. Among other things, what was wrong with the propeller shaft after all repairs: two of the new universal joints did not run smoothly, the third was not centered, bent new front part, missing rubber to keep the splines free of dirt and the original front part did not fit more so that the universal joints would be neatly aligned.
Instead, I was advised not to go to a Volvo dealer for maintenance with my now 18-year-old Volvo. On the site I read something else: "All our dealers have specially trained technicians who treat every Volvo, from young to classic, with passion and dedication."

And that while my Volvo has been serviced by Volvo dealers for 17 years, of which more than 7 years at the last dealer.

Questions about whether a specific part is still available will be answered quickly and correctly.
