Bexley Steelecroft not worthy of being in business

I have lived here for 5 years. Watched Bexley Steelecroft Apt go downhill. Yet they have went up on rent $200 every year. At this time I pay $2,135. It is noisy here. 24/7 I can’t sleep work nights so sleep during the day. The upstairs neighbors sound like they are blowing up there. Banging, stumping it never end. When complaining to management they just say there’s nothing they can do about. And today while walking my dogs two men were having oral sex behind my garage building. Workers could care less. Clean this place up. I have spoken to newer residents and they informed me Bexley didn’t care about their background check as long as their income was high. Oh I feel so safe . BS

Weinstein properties is a multinational corporation that makes its absurd profits from ripping off the working class.
I lived at bexely Round Rock for 25 months. They always jack up the price upon lease renewal even though the property gets worse. They had a terrible rat infestation and bugs were always in the apartment even though i pay for pest control every month. The walls are paper thin and the paint is the cheapest paint i have ever seen in my life, you can rub it off with your finger. I spent a week cleaning the place to leave it in better shape than what i found it in and made sure to video taped the entire unit. That didnt stop management from running a scam where they charge you for carpet replacement that doesn't require replacement. Im in the process of suing them and you should too.

Management has absolutely no idea what goes on in their rental community, nor are they empathic with the renters needs. Unit's are very old many not renovated. Complaints are ignored and unanswered. As a tenant I definitely would not refer this community to anyone decent. I wouldn't give this rating a single STAR, but that's the only way to write this review.

Weinstein Properties has not only been my home where I have lived onsite at one of our beautiful communities, but also my work home.

I knew from the moment I interviewed that this was the place for me. I have enjoyed everything about my experiences, the people I work with, the path that I have taken. I appreciate that WP values its customers as well as its employees. Having worked onsite I really got to see the behind the scenes of how much we care about customers. I love the relationship building and being able to make a difference every day.

The apartments in these communities are not well taken care of. We have had black mold in our place 3 times without it being properly fixed (they just paint over it). We also have a hole in our wall below our bathroom that has water running down it every time we use the shower. We submitted maintenance requests and the lady we talked to said it would be taken care of right away. They came and looked at it and decided they didn't want to deal with it until after the holiday weekend, so they advised us (while we had family visiting) not to shower for 4 days until they could come and fix it after the holidays. Not professional in how they deal with things and they only temporarily fix things, they never fix things properly. Would NOT recommend that anyone lives here.

I have been an employee and resident with Weinstein Properties for a little over a year now. I fully committed myself to this company because of their welcoming nature and because of job security. I have worked for 5 different management companies in 5 years, and Weinstein is the only place I feel secure. Other companies fire you when someone else comes along that will work for less, or when they change management companies every 3-5 years. Since starting with Weinstein, I ve only progressed, and continue to progress, and look forward to keep progressing lol. Thanks for all you all have done for me... I am Forever grateful!

My upstairs neighbor has dropped diarrhea dog poop, an allen wrench and washers and toe nails onto my balcony. Also know that the upstairs neighbor didn't even put on his application that he had three dogs up there. And because I asked a worker for my upstairs neighbor's name, so I could take him to small claims court to replace my furniture that has dog poop on it, now they won't renew my lease because she gave me the name but told her manager that I took the information off the desk. Firstly, I have no reason to lie. Secondly, she walked away from her desk, returned with his file, opened the file, turned it towards me and pointed out the name. Thirdly, I'll be glad to take a lie detector test. I'm sure the office workers wouldn't agree to take a lie detector test. And lastly, if other office workers saw what was going on and they felt it was an issue, why didn't they say something? Why did they wait until I left the office? I'm sure it was to get their incorrect story together. The office manager stated he spoke with the upstairs neighbor and the neighbor told him it wasn't intentional. If everything wasn't intentional then why do I have cut toenails on my balcony? White privilege strikes again. I sent an email to the parent company, Weinstein Properties, but no one responded. Renter beware!

Nightmare. I don't even have to tell my story. The fact that they had to get employees to give them good ratings SAYS IT ALL! HaHaHa!

Just fix the mess people! Don't sweep it under the rug! And manipulate your rating...

I lived at the Springfield property for 3 years. No issues to begin with, however the problems began when I had a change of roommates and my email address was apparently entered incorrectly. So far, no big deal, I asked that they change it for me so that I could set up my online account to pay rent. This never happened despite me specifically requesting it the next 4 times that I had to manually walk a check in (I gave up after that). Back to the change of roommates. When my new roommate came in to sign for the remainder of the current lease, he and I were told that we both had to sign for a whole new lease, which seemed odd to me but I signed anyway assuming that meant a new 12 month lease. 6 months later I walked in to pay rent and all of a sudden the rent had changed from $1090 to $1350. I was told that I had failed to provide 60 days notice of move out, so my lease was automatically for 2 months at the higher rate. I was also told that I was sent a reminder to my email...... (the one that they NEVER FIXED). The funny thing is that I had never intended on moving, I would have signed a new lease and continued to live there if the incompetence of the office staff had not cost me over $500. So at this point I am stuck paying the higher rate for 2 months. So I signed for the next 60 days and almost made the mistake of the office when I realized that the 60 days that I had just signed for WAS NOT the 60 day notice of move out. So they tried to get me for another 2 months by letting me walk out without signing the notice of move out. also, upon moving out I was charged for several things that were questionable however it wasn't outrageous so I just paid in the hopes that that would be the final settlement and I would never have to talk to anyone in that office ever again.

I began working at Weinstein Properties in 2002, this month will be 17 years for me! WP has helped me grow personally as well as professionally. I love how WP promotes from within, always encouraging you to be your best! I have been able to work in different areas within WP, and I am forever grateful for the many opportunities that WP has provided to me and my family.

I have been working for Weinstein Properties for 8 years. When I first started, I was very green and had a lot of learning ahead of me. The leadership I had was not only encouraging and supportive, but they were patient and encouraging. My leadership encouraged my growth through observation and real time feedback, but also allowed me to grow by setting goals and allowing me to face challenges. Through my years with WP, I have not only grown professionally, but personally as well with the relationships I ve built with my co-workers. Your voice and opinion always feel they matter as WP offers different committees for managers and supervisors to review company policy and make suggestions. They also have a program where you can submit ideas and you earn a bonus if your idea provides value or simplifies a process. While there is never a dull moment and it is fast paced work environment, Weinstein Properties strives to promote a diverse workplace where everyone feels like family. I love our company s mission statement and how focused on creating a positive living experience for all of our residents.

They obviously want their rent and money as soon as possible but don't mind holding on to thousands of dollars interest free for deposits. Rent from a different property group. They are only interested in 100% profit and not enhancing their existing properties.

I want my money back ASAP.

I have worked for Weinstein Properties for 5 months now and I don't plan on going anywhere! After coming from my previous management company, I have so much more of an appreciation and respect for how Weinstein Properties operates and how they treat their employees. The full range of corporate support and resources available to conduct site operations is top notch. As an employee for Weinstein you will never feel underappreciated and you are constantly given support wherever it is needed. I have never enjoyed working for a company more. I love what I do here and absolutely love the people I work with as well. I look forward to coming to work every day, which to me is a must. My favorite part about working for WP is that there is growth potential for employees and they are always giving opportunities to learn more about the industry.

I was approved! Received a lease and welcome email. Only to be informed the next day some dropped the ball. My app was declined. When I initially spoke to Rachel Ott at Springfield West apts I was upfront about my credit. I didn't want to waste my time or hers and she encouraged me to apply. So I did and this was the outcome. Very bad business practice. I received and apology from someone else in the office. Very disappointing..

I have been with Weinstein Properties for 12 years and the company is truly awesome to work for. When I started I was not very familiar with property management but was provided all of the tools I needed to learn, grow and be successful. The training and support that I received really showed me how invested the company is in the growth of every employee. I also truly appreciate that Weinstein Properties promotes from within and, in addition to providing the tools for professional growth, they also care about and value all of their employees as individuals.

Overall - I really love what I do, the people that I work with everyday and the values of the company! It's rare to find a company that feels like family but Weinstein Properties proves it's possible!

Everyone at Weinstein Properties is extremely friendly and at the same time very professional and thorough. They have been a loyal partner to our company for over 10 years and we have gotten to know quite a few team members in different roles at the organization. All of them are great to work with. I have also been onsite at least 10 of their communities. The atmosphere in the leasing offices is warm and friendly and it seems to me thy are constantly upgrading the communities and adding amenities to make the communities better and better.

Worst management & maintenance team EVERRR at one ...

Worst management & maintenance team EVERRR at one of their properties. Their lease states that they do not discriminate, but seems that the people who actually work at this office don t have to follow those rules. We have a recording where maintenance guys were talking about tenants and one saying a racial slur. Not sure if one of the property managers has something going on with one of the maintenance guys, but she had an answer for everything on why he said what he said. Even though she wasn t able to hear the whole conversation. She wants to sweep this under the rug, just because he s a really nice guy . She even offered us money! We have yet to hear back from corporate on this incident which the property manager swears she has contact. If she has then obviously corporate has no values or intent to hear our side or even the FULL recording. We can t trust people like their maintenance team coming into our home while we re not home to fix things knowing how they really feel about their job. We live in a world where there s enough hate and for them to be in a professional environment spreading it is just gross!

I lived at Abbington Hills, a Weinstein community, for a year and half and it was one of the best apartment homes I've ever had! As someone who has moved almost every year since I was 18, I have lived in many, MANY different apartments. Though my home at Abbington Hills is easily one of the best. The staff onsite are always so pleasant and helpful, and the community itself very well-maintained! 10/10 Would recommend!

AVOID! These people are dishonest and will lie to you in order to make a few extra bucks.

In this case, on-site leasing managers lied about the lease-ending date on a vacate notice: a form that included a threat to charge extra rent should I occupy the apartment after that date.

Don't trust a word they say, they're just waiting to stab you in the back.

I wish I can give them no stars but I had to select one. My experience with moving into Abbington Northampton in Hampton, VA on 08/01/19 was the worst. As you can see from some of the pictures that I have that this place was dirty and had not been cleaned upon me moving in. All management say is I am sorry and not sympathetic at all. Not only was the carpet filthy in ever 3 bedroom but the master bathroom shower was dirty and it smelled as if someone had just showered in it. The upstairs bathroom had black dye on the cabinets. The floors downstairs was dirty. In the heat with a moving truck loaded with my belongings we had to sit and wait over 2 hours for them to clean the apartment and replace the carpet. And then they had the audacity to say that they did not know that I was moving in. How is that possible when I have email correspondences from like the beginning of July up until my actual move. I also had to a 99.00 reservation fee so if you didn't know that I was moving in why take a reservation fee from me. Why take the first month of rent for August 1, 2019 on July 27,19 if you didn't know....Fast Forward I been her for days and come home today to all my power in my master bedroom not working, mind you I work from home.....For anyone even considering this place run as far away and dont look back!!!!!!!!!!!

I have lived at 2000 Riverside Drive apartment f...

I have lived at 2000 Riverside Drive apartment for well over 9 1/2 years, I have had nothing but good things to say about these apartments and the management staff since I have been living here, but I can't say that this time because I went through a horrible situation this summer when I had a flood in my apartment due on Weinstein part, I was left in that apartment with feces on the living room floors the floor was coming up whenever you walked across the floor, my rugs were ruined in the bedroom, living room and bathroom when I asked if Weinstein would clean them I was told no, mind you these were my personal rugs ,when I finally got an appointment instead of just transferring me to the third floor, I had to sign a new lease so unexpectedly I had to put out over 1800 dollars between the two apartments, when the flood was cause by weinstein properties. I also know it had nothing to do with Colleen and Candace, nor the maintenance staff they can only do but so much because they have to do what their bosses tell them to do, I would like to take the time to thank Colleen, Candace, Tito with 2 extra stars, Darryl, Candace and Tito help me with my furniture, Paul was on vacation, I also thank Sasheen and Angie because they are the two who knew what to do when Sasheen came to my apartment and saw that I had a terrible flood from the bathroom wall that flooded my bedroom and living room really bad. So now I am on the 3rd floor so when I send my next review in 6months I hope and pray I can give a better report. Oh yeah I hate the no smoking rule some of us have been here a long time, your threw us out with no where to sit and God forbid when the winter comes. It would be nice if there were at least 2 heated shelters was built in the parking lots on the grass parts of the locked parking lot so only Riverside residents would use them. We pay rent just like the non smokers. Doretha Boyd

We live in aden park apartment and the wall is peeling and nail coming out the floor and the doors in the apartment is falling apart and we call the rental office they said they can't don't nothing about it we were call the New Station to help out out because the rental office don't want to help we go pictures and videos of the apartment and they say they can't help us smh

The only reason I give a three star rating is due ...

The only reason I give a three star rating is due to the maintenance staff and ladies in the office. However, I have not been satisfied at all with the amount that I have been paying in rent and the quality of the apartment. I feel, just as well as many others that I have been over charged. When I first moved here my rent was 1353 and now almost two years later, my lease term is getting ready to end and I will not be resigning because they are want me to pay 1487 for a 12 month lease. I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income and that amount is just not affordable at all. The last thing that I want to happen as well, is when it comes time for me to move out, being charged for a month that I will not be living here because I plan on moving out on the first of August, with my lease ending on Sept 1st. I just cannot afford it and upset that I have to go through this headache again almost two years later. I wanted my final move to be when I move to Florida, but it seems like I will have to move one more time before that happens, which in my opinion, is inconvenient. I am going tomorrow to the rent office and speak with them about my lease and trying to do everything accordingly to make this transition and process as easy as possible for me and my family. I have read other reviews and spoken to other individuals and I am not trying to be charged for any unnecessary charges that I cannot afford or have anything come out of my account without being notified about anything. I take pride in the upkeep of my residence no matter where it may be and have made sure not to break anything, mess or rip the carpet, mess anything else up or scuff walls, etc. I took pictures when I first moved in of everything I thought was necessary and still have all of those so I hope nothing comes back to say that something is broken, ripped, or not in the same condition as the day I moved in because that would be complete BS and I will be taking more pictures when I move out of the way the apartment is left for my benefit, just in case. I want to do everything by the book for this to be as smooth as it can to ensure everyone in this case is not screwed. I am definitely not that type of individual, however just like everyone else, there are limits and I hope this process does not go that route. I have also never been late on any payment so my rental history says it all.

Until July of 2018, I had been an extremely satisf...

Until July of 2018, I had been an extremely satisfied resident of Bexley at Lakeline in Cedar Park, TX since moving in almost 3 years ago. I moved in when the property was brand new. I have never had any major issues that were left unresolved by the office. I m always more than excited to renew my lease when that time comes, even upgrading to a larger unit. Since Noelia Rocha, the current property manager took over, it has been a nightmare. I ve referred friends who are already experiencing problems after moving in only a month ago. Proper follow up is nonexistent, dishonesty from the office staff is mind blowing, utter lack of integrity and sense of professionalism is disappointing to say the least. It s sad to watch a property you re so proud to call home take a sharp decline in such a short amount of time. After transferring to my new unit in October of 2017 I forgot to switch power from my old unit to the new one, and was notified in December of 2017 by the office. That was my mistake, I owned up to that. I called Austin energy to get it switched on 12/27/17 and everything was good after that. Nothing on my monthly statements showing power bills. In July, I received an email from Noelia stating that power was never switched, adding on hundreds of dollars worth of bills and fees, all back dated until January of this year. Myself and the regional manager, Shannon Green, both confirmed with Austin Energy that it was in fact THEIR mistake, and not mine. They apologized and are working on issuing me a credit, either to the property or to myself. In the meantime, hundreds of dollars of fees are added on by what seem like the second, I over paid in August by 340 dollars when my base rent was only 1,099 for that month, since the money I paid for rent was applied to the power bills the office claimed they paid, without notifying me of this. This ended up to me coming home to an eviction notice on my front door for the world to see on 8/17/18, after zero notice from the office and no phone calls at all. No pay or quit on the front door, no emails or messages from Noelia. The scary part? All of that was attached to the eviction citation, which they put a stop to, after speaking to Shannon. How is this legal? I was robbed at gun point at work back in June, at the advice of my attorney and therapist, I m being told it s best to let my attorney handle it. I really would like to not get to that point as I emotionally can not handle any more trauma, I m still giving Weinstein the benefit of the doubt since I know how amazing they can be if the right people are in the right positions. Being in management myself, I know just how important it is to take care of your loyal customers. If this were my mistake, I would say so and take ownership of that. That is simply not the case. I have spent countless hours stressing over this and have spent so much extra money that I do not have to spend, causing me to potentially fall behind on other bills, since they think it s ok to add things on, tell you you re wrong, threaten more court dates, and drag the whole process out. When you walk into the office and request to speak with Noelia, she is never there. It does not make you feel very comfortable when Kayla, the leasing consultant, pulls up your ledger and states wow this is the most messed up ledger I ve ever seen and then attempts to tell you that you don t understand it and it s all right, because they have 344 apartments to worry about and it s not their fault I never switched the power . Even worse when the regional manager tells you that they issued credits when they shouldn t have. That same regional manager promised me in a face to face conversation, that she would work out some sort of monetary compensation and see who added these charges on my ledger and when. Now I m realizing that was a tactic to get me out of her office and back at the mercy of Noelia, who caused the problem in the first place. Want some advice? Go back to the way you did things when I left my first review of the property itself.

I have worked with Weinstein Properties for almost 10 years currently. I am pleased to say the company has taken care of me in many ways as a resident and an employee. I started as a leasing consultant in Hampton, VA and moved to Richmond, VA for an opportunity, I am certainly glad I did not pass. I have had the pleasure of working at almost every VA property, excluding one. I learned and gained so much from WP throughout the years. To sum it all up, this is truly a great place to call HOME, personally and professionally!

DON'T TAKE A JOB HERE! I worked for this company for about 4 months. Everyone I worked with agreed that I was capable of a lot of work yet they would only work me part time picking up dog waste, despite the fact that they had work backed up that I was capable of doing & all the other techs were stretched thin. So not only did they screw me out of work when payday came there was always something wrong with the check. 3 checks in a row were blocked from cashing, sent to incorrect accounts or rejected by their bank. It took hours of phone calls to get my money from them every week. This company is badly managed and I recommend you steer clear at all costs. They only care about their profits & not the well being of employees. STAY AWAY FROM WEINSTEIN!

Very frustrated and unsatisfied. I stay in Abbington west end. I parked my car in a spot next to my roommates spot. There is NO one staying there. They towed it although there is no visitor spots on my side. There has been plenty nights when shanks wouldn t tow a person who was in my roommates spot because they said there was no driver. We had to walk far in the cold to a visitor spot. I just spoke to Helen and she did not help me in this situation. There has been a mold smell that has not gone away even after they wiped down. There is a deeper issue but they won t inspect properly. I also have a carpet beetle issue that they tried to blame on me. I hope to get assistance in all of these matters.

My apartment was ransacked by one of their independent contractors. My Property was damage in the process. I reported upstairsTennant's dog barking at all hours of the day and night sent video footage of this as well as the dog peeing down to my patio. This has been going on for at least four months. Spoke to the personnel at the leasing office on countless occasions left messages on others and emailed even more complaints nothing done. The Dog is literally barking none stop now. I called and emergency after hours and they said they are in route, it's been 2 hours so I guess their driving from out of town. Took about two weeks to get someone to clean deoderize and sanitize my patio after Tennants dog peed down to it. I call the courtesy officer and sometimes they come out but say that can't do anything about these issue.

The common stairs are filthy. I will be taking legal action to terminate my lease because they violated the terms by not doing anything about these issues for months. I will be placing all future rent in escrow account until the courts determine what if any thing I owe them due to their breach of the rental agreement and I will be suing to recover the money I paid over these 4 months of continuous issues they have ignored. I do not recommend this place.

Where do I even start? My journey with Weinstein Properties has been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling!

I started with Weinstein Properties just over 2 years ago, completely brand new to the industry. Since then, I ve been given amazing growth opportunities, been able to make an impact on multiple teams and properties, learn from incredible people and have even experienced the acquisition of a new property. I have been successful with this company because of how they empower their teams and the genuine support I ve received from peers, my Regional Director and other corporate leaders.

I absolutely stand behind this company, as they do as they say and are invested in their employees. Not only that, but WP is always trying to find the win-win in all situations. Providing top notch customer service and using a common sense approach is something that all employees seem to value. Additionally, they trust their on-site teams to make decisions and will provide support and/or guidance where it s needed. I also appreciate how everything is tracked, reported and monitored in order for teams to be held accountable and it allows less room for error, ultimately creating a better experience for our residents.

Overall, my experience has been more than I could have ever imagined. I m incredibly happy that I chose this path and decided to call WP my home 2 years ago. I can t wait to see what else is in store for the rest of my journey with WP!

Our entire stay at Bexley Creekside under Weinstei...

Our entire stay at Bexley Creekside under Weinstein properties wasn't bad, but when it counted most...we were so sorely let down. So, don't send me some cute fix it message on her about how you attempted to fix the problem.

After moving in, we started seeing mold in unlikely places like in our closet, the bathroom, and in the bar/kitchen area of our home. After calling maintenance, the kitchen area was cleaned and new pipes were given because a leak was causing the water damage/mold. But our closet and bathroom...well that was spritzed with bleach and repainted.

Fast forward and my husband and I are experiencing a lot of respiratory issues. Upon investigation, it turns out the water damage is back in our home, back in the closet and bathroom wall. We make arrangements and call the property. They send out the same guy who "fixed" the issue before who promptly blames the lack of water behind the wall on our new shower head...the timing in which we got the shower head and the damage to the wall dont even look to coincide. We were given a blanket statement of, "I can only go based on what i see." But if you were here before you would have seen that our shower head was the apartment complexes standard shower head...so was that causing the issue too the first time you sprayed the wall eith bleach?

It's so convenient how when we asked for a compensation this time around for a continued issue, that the problem is now our fault, despite the fact that we've had a lot of water and pipe issues throughout our home to include the mold we just found growing in our air vents in the living room. Was that made by our shower head, too?

I appreciate the help of some of the maintenance, but the way this was handled overall was ridiculous. You dont believe what I say, but the guy who had to revisit the problem gets the say so. God forbid, we had to go to get hospitalized...then what? Were you gonna give us a pat on the back and then not be bothered then too?

I dont want a call from Bexley Creekside or an email from them. I want Weinstein properties corporate to call or return the email i sent. This isnt great customer service. This is you protecting your financial bottom line.

I moved into my unit almost a year ago and since when I moved in I have had nothing but head aches. It started off that I was not even shown to my new home but was basically handed keys and told what apt number it was, was then sent out the door to locate the bldg and the apt. when I moved in I expected to clean just to make sure, but the kitchen was covered in a very sticky greasy film like it had never been cleaned and every surface had what felt like over spray from when they had repainted. Then my rental washer and dryer were not delivered till the following week. Then several weeks later the tenants moved out across the hall and left a large amount of garbage piled up it sat there for a week before I took it to the trash, this was after complaining 2x. Then the cleaning company they hired to clean the unit the following week left all there garbage out side the door from me. it sat there 3 days after I complaining. Then the Maint. staff came in to fix my fridge and proceeded to leave the door open and all my food on the counter. several months go by not much but then the Weinsteins uncaring face showed again with another incident which I will take a bulk of the responsibility, after this I brought to the attention that issues in apt. that were not addressed at move in I wanted addressed now. well it took the regional mgr to see the issues to have them addressed bc the maint. said they were fixed but they were not. They came in fixed the issues but I did not recieve notice they were entering to fix the issue. They entered and fixed the issue but did not move anything out of the way and all my childrens toys in the area along with furniture was covered in dry wall dust and was not cleaned nor was the painting completed and no signs saying wet paint when my child touched the area he had paint on his hand. to top this off they left all the construction debris outside my door. (see a theme). I have made several complaints about other residents who constantly park in the hadicapped spots (my mother who visits regularly is and is forced sometimes to park a distance from the entrance) the mgmt reponse is " call the police" when an email out or flyer as a gently reminder would work also. I will not be renewing my lease and will not be recommending any weinstein property to anyone. as the sign states in the lobby mentions that you are Family here NO YOU ARE NOT.

I have been with this company for almost 5 years! I have never worked for a better company. WP is always researching how they can improve not only the company to better serve their customers but making sure they are keeping up with the current trends in renovations and technology. They are all about customer service and making sure their staff is happy! If you are looking for a company to start with a grow with, look no further and apply today :).

I have been with Weinstein just shy of a year and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here, both as a resident and an employee. I was brand new to the industry coming in and I felt at home right away. I enjoy coming into work every day, I feel cared for by my superiors, and I am incredibly excited for the opportunities I continue to have for growth. If you are looking for a company that provides exceptional service to both their customers and their employees, Weinstein Properties is the place for you!

Unfortunate customer service and lack of communication to do the right thing. I lived in a property in Charlotte NC, moved out 3 days early after receiving confirmation from the front office staff that I could because they had a new renter wanting to start his lease early. They signed the paperwork and everything. Later, they charged me for those 3 days of leaving early and got it put in collections. It never ceases to amaze me how often people won't do the right thing. I DO NOT recommend this as a professional, trustworthy company.

I live at one of their properties, Abington west end, and this is by far the worse apartment I've ever lived in. There are bugs everywhere. We've dealt with roaches, spiders and so many ants. The ants would come in through the vents, shower drains, and the walls. The last picture is a picture of my kitchen where we would get a puddle every time it rains. Now that we are about to move the apartment complex is acting like they are trying but we have contacted them over ten times this year and we are still dealing with the issue. We spoke to them in person about this issue six months ago and are still dealing with it. There is a false sense of caring but in reality nothing is being done. The issue is the actual apartment wasn't built well so there are so many cracks and crevices in the walls and cabinets. Definitely avoid these apartments!!

In response to the owner's comment: Your team spoke to me in July but nothing additional was done. I came to the leasing office and spoke to someone in January. So I had been communicating for seven months with your team about the pest problems. After that, I emailed and place maintenance requests every single month. Due to covid, the in person office was closed and I was not able to come into the office anymore. Also the situation was never rectified, I just ended up moving.
***Please be extremely careful moving in here. I received a bill for hundreds of dollars upon moving out. I truly believe it was due to this review. Save yourself money and a headache and look elsewhere

***Something you can do is retract your excessive bill...

After initially leaving a very positive review for...

After initially leaving a very positive review for this company due to my pleasant experience of signing a lease with them 9 months ago, I am disappointed that I feel this compelled to leave a poor review. Please take my advice: DO NOT RENT FROM THIS DISGRACEFUL, POOR EXCUSE OF A COMPANY. The staff throughout this company from the local office (Abbington Crossing in Charlottesville, VA) to the corporate employees are both incompetent in their jobs and unprofessional. After moving out, I was charged more than $1000 for a "damaged" carpet that apparently had to be completely ripped up (2 square feet of stains UNDERNEATH the carpet, and nowhere visible on the top as proven by the pictures they provided). Here's the real kicker-they ADMITTED to not having photo documentation of the carpet when the tenants before me moved out. Meaning, they admitted to not being able to prove I caused this damage (I did not), and they STILL are trying to pin it on me...truly worthless excuse of a company and management team. In addition, I was not given a call back from the debt collections department after leaving a message for them after missing their initial call 15 minutes before, until a WEEK AND A HALF LATER. Truly terrible way of doing business.
Here are just a few other poor experiences I had while living in this apartment complex for only 7 months:
1. Someone else's payment was credited towards my account. I paid the balance amount as shown and was then told I did not pay my rent in full (I kinda just assume an apartment complex can figure out how to bill their residents for their monthly rent correctly, but I guess you truly can't assume anything with these people). I paid the rest of my rent the next day.
2. I needed to terminate my lease early due to a job opportunity in a different city. NO ONE in the office knew the correct information regarding the logistics of picking between certain dates of moving out and was subsequently charged extra when I was explicitly told by two separate employees I would not be.
3. One of the aforementioned employees somehow managed to give me someone else's termination form during a FACE TO FACE interaction where I gave my first and last name as well address TWICE. Truly negligent and careless.
4. The office manager's professionalism is laughable at best. When initially speaking to her over the phone about the bill I received with both the carpet damage charges as well as the charge for the mistake in date of move out, she had the audacity to ask me to leave a review reflecting the positive experiences I had while living on the property after telling her I would be sure to leave a review that reflected this entire ordeal. For a company that can't even get their employees on the same page in regards to standard leasing practices, process payment transactions correctly, or grab a piece of paper with the correct identifying information on it, it is certainly bold and NOT their place to be soliciting positive reviews.

In the off chance that anyone from Weinstein Properties actually reads this and doesn't just respond with a cookie cutter positive response: do NOT respond to this. You have NOT been working closely with me on this issue as it took a week and a half to return my call I placed 15 minutes after missing your initial call. You have NOT provided a settlement that is substantial, agreeable or satisfactory to any party other than the company itself. No further response or communication is requested from any part of the Weinstein company.

I have worked for Weinstein Properties for about 7...

I have worked for Weinstein Properties for about 7 months. I put in my two weeks of resignation due to a better opportunity. There were also some other reasons that the company drove me away for. For leasing agents, the pay is a joke. Leasing agents are over worked and under paid. That is one of the reasons I left. Weinstein does not pay commission. At all. Also, I learned that they do not take care of their employees. I transferred properties per their request. They did not pay for my move which costed me over $300. Also, I had requested a carport for at least at a discount, I was shooting for a free carport, but no. They would not approve for a discounted carport for their employee. Everything I did for the company was worth way more than what my hourly was. I did love the people I worked with. I did work under the BEST regional director ever. She is a very hard worker, and she truly cares about her employees. I definitely enjoyed her visits. One of the main reasons that drove me away, was how they do not promote within. They hired a new assistant manager rather than promoting one of the leasing consultants for the job. Why hire a new person that is new to the company? When you can promote one of your leasing agents that knows the policies & procedures? Saying you want to hire someone with "manager experience" is not a good enough reason. Because the rest of the staff will have to help train this new person with "manager experience". Let me also mention how my move out went. They take rent out of employees paychecks by splitting it in half. So they took out the first half of rent from the first paycheck of the month, then I moved out before the next paycheck, and they still took rent out. Basically they took out rent for the full month. I spoke to HR and they could not do anything about it until my move out was processed. SO, if you ever decide to work for this company, I recommend to not live onsite.
The leasing agents work so hard every day and get paid so little. Not to mention again that there is no incentive on leasing the property.
I did really enjoy working with my coworkers, however a better opportunity came my way and I did not hesitate to leave Weinstein. I hope to see some changes in that department so they can keep their leasing staff. Best of luck to WP as they continue to grow in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

I lived at their abbington hills property for alm...

I lived at their abbington hills property for almost 3 years and it was the absolute worst experience of my life. The walls are incredibly thin, the insulation is a joke, and the quality of the apartment is terrible. Every. Single. Summer. My AC broke MORE THAN ONCE. One summer, it flooded the downstairs closet and I ended up with water damage on $100s worth of stuff, with no care from management. You can literally see gaps between the front door and the frame, which leads to a terrible draft and tons of money wasted to cool or heat the apartment. My electric bill for a one bedroom was almost always over $120, because the gap was so drastic, paired with the terrible windows and insulation. The gaps in the frame also led to all types of bugs in the summer time, no matter how clean things were. Leasing office staff live in the complex, and often use their personal time in the neighborhood to intrude on your life. I had staff and management call my cell phone, after hours, to ask if I would make a complaint about other residents, that I never saw doing anything wrong. After saying I never saw or heard anything, they d continue to try to get me to say I had a noise complaint, and would even call back to ask again! Maintenance and management come into your apartment whenever they want, without telling you ahead of time. Most of the time, they didn t even leave a note saying they d been there.

As if a terrible living experience wasn t enough, upon move out, I was hit with a $500+ bill for alleged damage to the carpet, after my request to be present for the move out inspection was denied, due to an employee who didn t know what he was talking about. One problem that they noted with the carpet was that it was thinning, which conveniently doesn t appear in pictures. I had significant issues with staff, including the manager Melissa, going back on their word or flat out telling me the wrong information, that I then had to pay for.

They literally beg people to leave good reviews I was once at the pool last summer and a leasing office staff member went to every single person out there and begged for us to leave a review, and wouldn t leave people alone until they did. Save yourself the trouble and the hassle, and skip Abbington Hills and Weinstein Properties altogether. You can get WAY better for a better price, and you won t have to deal with incompetent, lying, useless, scamming leasing office staff and managers, and a property management company that employs terrible people and allows them to scam, lie, and stea.

Worst property management ever!!! Constantly reaching out to the regional manager because the property manager never calls or is in the office. Numerous work orders to fix dryer. Dryer gets fixed and a day later broke again!!! What is the point of paying to have a washer and dryer when I have to take my clothes to the laundromat because the one in my townhouse never works!!! I d give zero stars if I could!!!!

After being in the apartment industry for 11 years, I joined the WP family a year ago and have had nothing but great experiences. I love that this company is family oriented and cares about their employees. The amount of support you get from teammates makes this a great place to work.

I have worked for several other property managemen...

I have worked for several other property management companies, and no one compares. Weinstein is fair to their employees, they genuinely care about their residents, and are always looking to make life easier!

The rental property Cambridge messed up our billin...

The rental property Cambridge messed up our billing twice, which was the first two months we moved in. They over charged us and when they finally realized they made it seem like a minor issue. BUT it wasn't because we were broke college students . A year later we find out we supposedly owe the money and it has NEVER BEEN THIS HARD TO PAY a company. I've called multiple times to corporate office and they have given me the run around and told me to call multiple numbers. I finally get someone who will take the payment and they change the amount from $500 to $2,000 ! This overcharge is a recurring issue that is a huge inconvenience and just unfair

UPDATE: 1/1/2019

UPDATE: 1/1/2019
The owner has responded to my comment stating that their team has been in contact with me which is a LIE. I have called their corporate office 7 times and was either directed to a voicemail which ANGELA only returned one of my voicemails in August. She returned none before or AFTER that. Because of Angela's lack of returning my phone calls your staff consisting of Kim Poisson and Kara Jumper have run a muck. I have been threatened, i have been mocked because of my disability and spiritual beliefs as well as racially, ?I was moved into a unit that was not move in ready it was riddled with cracks, holes, stains on the floor and carpet, and had not been painted. I paid my money for the apartment in advance i asked for my money back that day and was refused. The person who leased the property to me refused to work with me and refused to comply with ADA accommodations i asked for a rental lease in writing and that was not performed. Furthermore my paperwork for my Service animals authenticity was questioned because of my race and I was accused of submitting fraudulent documentation EVEN AFTER they spoke with my therapist on numerous occasions. They also refused to fix the damage in my home that was there prior to me ever entering in the home. we went to court on 12/10/2018 and they reported that i was making everything up and that there was nothing wrong in my unit. I have had pneumonia for a month for improperly working heat, there is mold in the unit along with rodents that run in the attic portion or space between the roof i had improper working pluming and electricity. WHEN DID THE FIX THESE THINGS??? Well they fixed them 2 days after Court....... But i'm Out the Unit so i feel as though they did this to just "f" with me and rub it in my face. The plumbing when they came it was a huge GLOB of Caucasian hair that the maintenance man said they missed it when moving me in so every time i took a hot shower running over that hair thats been there for god knows how long those germs and bacteria was getting into my lungs. I consistently had $200 electricity bills because they refused to fix my heating unit. and whenever the neighbor flushes her toilet it comes in my toilet. But according to the owner and the manager I have way too many complaints and couldn't be pleased and I am giving people the wrong impression about their community? Seriously?

This has been one hectic rental experience. I was quoted incorect pricing on units lied to about promotions just to make a sale. They prelease apt and never show you the property that YOU will be GIVEN. I have been retaliated against and discriminated against because of my disability. I have been harrassed by the asst. Manager of Abbington landing. They moved me into a unit that wasnt move in ready. I complained and then i was told i couldnt get any of my money back these people are crooks and they employ smaller management companies such as cloverleaf associates to manage over their criminal affairs. They seem to target minorities, the poor and military. No one who pays full price rent ever has anything nice to say i wish i would have read the reviews concerning abbington landing and cambridge before ever getting envolve. They openened utilities in my name and refused to pay for them charged fees to my account and refused to refund what they owe. This company whole website is full of lies. They do not maintain their properties at all.

I moved into Springfield in the westend of Richmon...

I moved into Springfield in the westend of Richmond. in late August, and the whole application process should have been an identifier that this would be an awful experience. On October 11th we had a water leak, which was fixed 3 weeks later after they cut a hole in our kitchen (which still hasn t been fixed but was promised to be fixed on the last week of October) and now due to the procrastination, my kitchen cabinet is falling off of the wall, we have mold present and continuing to grow because they don t believe that it is there and also won t come to our building to look at the issue, our countertops are bowing, the under cabinets small of mildew, and the paint is bubbling up on the wall. I ve reached out to our leasing office and property manager, Aaron, via in person email and phone, and he guarantees things will be taken care of tomorrow, but over a month later and I m not so hopeful. I ve reached out to his boss Mary Beth Pendleton and received no response to my phone call, or any acknowledgement that I reached out to her. I ve used every avenue I can think of to have the situation reconciled, but nothing has come of it.

I was left on my own immediately. Lack of training, the on boarding process was delayed and horrible. The staff was catty and maintenance cursed and made derogatory comments daily. I never signed and offer letter, was not introduced to staff, and did not even have a desk to sit at and I was apart of management! The staff operated as a clique and I did not stand a chance. So much for the wonderful things I ve heard about weinstein. I did not get to experience not one of them.

Very Bad!!! Beware dont go for this apartment community at all!!

I was a resident of Bexley Park Apartments from 1st April to 30th September. They took a prepaid deposit from me for 928$ due to credit report. My lease was till december 2016. They asked me to vacate suddenly saying they have to repair the house and treat the bugs.

There was earlier a leak from the Washbasin pipe in the bathroom and it developed moss in the cabinet below. In that pretext they removed the washbasin and didnt give us an alternative for around a month.

Then they brought a temporary washbasin, but then asked us to vacate by the end of that month in lieu of the repairs and bugs treatment.

Now without giving any trouble to the property owners, I vacated by 1st October within 7-10 days of receipt of request to vacate .

Now it is 19th and there is no hint of refund of my money.

Due to the sudden move, I had to incur extra charges for the next apartment lease and deposits and transport costs etc. My bank balance has gone negative resulting in my insurance premium payment of ~29$ bounce in my account. Now the bank is charging 35$ for the return fee.

I am not getting my refund and am having to pay return fees, which is further putting my account to debit. When contacted the Manager April, she said she cannot do anything and I have to contact the Wienstein properties.

Today I called Weinstein properties number from the internet. The number has options that lead back to the Bexley Park apartments and the staff there say that they have already discussed and they cannot do anything about my refund till it comes to me from Weinstein properties

Note: I always had a Auto payment for my Rental amount from my salary checking account. I never delayed any payment.

The property manager asked me to vacate suddenly without giving me any support or compensation or any other guidance.

They are not returning my Deposit in time and causing my bank account to become negative spoiling my Credit further.

Stay away from this company at all costs!!! The people who work for them in the corporate office and at their properties are dishonest liars who have no problem screwing you over and leaving you without a place to live days before your move in date at the price you signed a lease for! Poor business practices and honestly should be reported for bait and switch.

I have been an employee of Weinstein Properties for over 4 years. I started as a Leasing Agent when they first came to Austin and have worked my way up to Property Manager. I LOVE that the company likes to promote from within and encourage growth, by providing advanced training opportunities for those that are interested and dedicated. Weinstein Properties is a very family-oriented company and treats its employees as such. I have met multiple big wigs from corporate, including the Co-Presidents, and they are always so personable and greet me by name! I am amazed by how fast the company is growing and expanding, and cannot wait to see what the future holds for me with Weinstein Properties.

I have worked for this company for almost 2 years, and there is never a dull moment. I came in with absolutely no experience with leasing, but the managers and team members were very encouraging and goal oriented, allowing me to learn and adapt quickly to something entirely foreign to me. I enjoy staying busy by assisting residents any way I can, and helping those looking for a new home find the best fit for them. I have worked at a few different properties within the company, and they have all been wonderful. All of the leasing consultants and maintenance team are some of the best coworkers you can ask for. This was a great career move for me, and I have enjoyed the experience so far, and hope to have many more years with WP!

Very disappointed with Abbington West end. My refrigerator And freezer has been broken for over a week. My roommate has insulin that has to be refrigerated.3 maintenance men have came out and placed the blame on me. The first guy turned down the temperature. He said he would come back but did not until I called and left a message. The freezer is filled with ice all maintenance does is remove the ice: Nothing has been resolved and the front office tells me it s nothing that they can do.

Just moved our after having lived here for a year. They told me I owe them over $1000 because they need to resurface cabinets and replace carpet that was absolutely fine.

I told them my attorney would contact them and they told me to not do that and to contact the leasing office first.

They're ridiculous and will try and steal your money. Stay away!

Horrible company. Employees would never awnser the phone, the apartment had a smell, bathrooms were not in the least bit clean upon move in, and frankly speaking the rent is way to high. This is just another apartment complex getting over on people. I will never recommend anyone to live hear.

I am a resident of a community in McKinney, TX and...

I am a resident of a community in McKinney, TX and my experience has been terrible to say the very least. When I applied for my apartment, it was being managed by a different company and when I went in to get my keys, there was a whole new team that advised me that they were now being managed by Weinstein. On this day I met Jennifer who stated she was the property manager, and Diane who was apart of the leasing staff. Things started off shaky after I learned that the property lost my state ID after failing to return it to me after viewing my apartment. After moving in, things only got worse. I was supposed to receive $600 off my rent in June and instead of applying the concession, staff thought it would be a better idea to mail me several notices, charge late fees and ultimately file eviction on me. It wasn t until I reminded them of the concession that they actually applied it and reversed all court costs, late fees and filing fees.

After this, they never applied a payment for my rent and actually LOST, yes LOST a check for my rent as well as my money orders. The worst part of all of this is that I am a single mom who recently managed to escape a relationship involving domestic violence. My daughter made it out alive with NOTHING but the clothes on our backs. Additionally, I was just diagnosed with Lupus and quite frankly can not afford to be stressed.

Here we are today, the office has once again filed another eviction claiming that I have not paid rent despite the fact that they have admittedly lost one of my rent checks. Their saving grace is the fact that I am unable to locate my money order receipts so they have decided to proceed with eviction. I haven t received anything on my door in the form of a notice. Nor have I received a phone call about things escalating to this point. I was never even given the option to pay the pst due balance before things got this far.

To top things off. I contacted the so called regional manager Angela Hazlewood and left her a voicemail and this wise guy thought it would be smart to have the leasing staff return my call on her behalf . If I wanted to continue speaking to the leasing staff, then that s what I wanted to do. This was a total slap in the face and by any standard of professionalism would be viewed as highly unprofessional.

I will be contacting TAA, my attorney and all other related entities to report this wrongful eviction. Especially now that I have located my receipts for payment. Do yourself a favor and go with a larger named management company. At least they have an image to uphold. I can tell you right now, Weinstein doesn t care. ESPECIALLY if you are a minority.

NEVER stay here. I caught two rats in my first week living in the apartment. Even though the maintenance team tried to help with the problem but the rats kept showing up. Finally the I found the holes where the rats come in. The holes were sealed and the rats stop showing up. Also, The apartment smells like mold. The rental office send the maintenance team and they said that they can t smell anything. I had to spent hundreds of dollars to make sure the place smell nice.
All these problem and they would not allow me to break the lease without penalty.

When the lease was finally over the kept the security deposit and charged me $300 for an extra coat of paint caused by smoke damage. Oh wait I don t even smoke.

Worst rental experience in my entire live.

Run. Fraudulent charges.

Run. Fraudulent charges.
Maintenance will only ever band-aid issues, or directly tell you to deal with whatever issue you're having.
I.E. Dishwasher backing up into sink.
I.E. Handle to faucet falling off, Falls off while the maintenance team is still in apartment after fixing it, they leave.
I.E. The garbage disposal seized, they had been to my apartment 3 times to "free" up the garbage disposal with wooden dowels, the disposal would be seized up tight within a few days of their "fix".Even at the request for a replacement i was told no and to just not use it.
I.E. Allowing a felon to live on the property across the way from us in our building, police searching for them at 1a.m.
I.E. Ignoring emails and correspondence of tenants of the building we were in leaving 100s of cigarettes in the pine needles beside the central air units, even showed the maintenance tech when he was in my unit. "Oh no thats no good". It continued to happen for another 2 months until the tenant moved out. Thats a fire hazard especially considering that was the summer months.
I.E. Had to request the fridge to be fixed 3 times on the same issue. Lost all my wild game meat because the first initial visit he accused me of "not letting the fridge breath". Then not even a week later, come home to a refrigerator at room temp along with the freezer. All food lost, No a dime reimbursed from the apartment complex, even those under the federal Housing act they are responsible to reimburse residents under issues like this.
This was brought to the offices attention, as well as the property manager. Both shrugged it off, so we gave a 60 day notice and vacated the property.

Get a letter in the mail Postage mark dated 10/19/2017, the letter inside "Certified" by the illegible signature that they verified this letter was mailed to me on 10/13/2017. Enclosed would have a list broken down of the charges and security deposit deposition. Yet, better yet nothing but this "Certified" letter saying I owe $233, with no reasoning or explanation.
Threatening this is an attempt to collect debt?

What about the $1500 in wildgame meat I lost in my freezer, produce, food, etc.
All the time spent to work to pay for hunting licenses, hours spent in the woods, earning my food. Just to have it all lost due to the neglect of the maintenance lead?

Truly would not recommend residing at this property, do your research. 3 years ago the property was amazing and well kept. They lost their good help, they lost what it takes.

Weinstein Properties is a family owned company that is dedicated to promoting from within and truly fosters an environment of employee engagement, development, and growth. There are amazing resources to train & develop talent, on the leasing office side as well as the maintenance side. I have worked for the company for 10 years and started out as a leasing consultant with no previous property management experience. I had great managers and leaders who gave me the guidance, support, and feedback that I needed along the way to excel. I was fortunate enough to serve in many different roles - onsite, in the corporate office, and now on a regional level. I feel very grateful and I can now have a hand in developing employees and could tell countless stories of grounds employees who are now EPA certified maintenance technicians, maintenance technicians who are now maintenance supervisors, leasing consultants who are now property managers, and on and on! If you look at the leadership page on the company website - many of those folks worked onsite earlier in their careers with WP! I am proud to work for a company that rewards hard work and talent and goes above and beyond to invest in their employees. It's easy to get behind a company that is fair - to our residents and to our employees!

I put in a work order for my washing machine to be fixed a week ago and maintenance still has not attempt to resolved the issue. I call and actually walk to the rental office about my complaint and they assured me that the issue would be handled as TOP PRIORITY. However, the issues hasn't been resolved. I had to throw away all my clothes that was in the washing machine. Now, my apartment smells like mildew and I have insects flying around the apartment. Still, a week later, No one has attempt to reach out to me to either check on the status of my work order or even fix the problem.

Weinstein Properties when they make a mistake they do not follow up with you. I was sent a very nasty letter about owing money to them which turned out to be a mistake. They sent the letter to me saying I was a former resident which I m still a resident in good standing. I live at the Bexley Silverado in Cedar Park, Tx
The office staff is really nice although the manager there was very slow at helping me with this issue although she is very nice.

I still have not recurved a call from the collection agent for the company.

I m a ride share driver and will never recommend a Weinstein Property again although in the past I did.
I ve lifted over 13,000 riders so the ones I talk to will here about this company.

It s unfortunate that some companies treat their good tenants this way when their a good tenant.

I live at Abbington Westend apartments and i have had nothing but an awful experience since i moved in. We didnt get to see the apartment until the day we moved in. There were holes all in the wall and on the doors that had been poorly patched. We've had centipeid problems since we moved in. I've had my apartment sprayed 2 times in the last month for them and we still have them. On top of that my bathtub upstairs has leaked all the way through my living room ceiling it has been a week and nothing has been done to resolve the issue except they brought a humidifier in which does nothing but make my electricity bill go up i have ducktape in my bathtub covering up the hole which has caused the water to run through too my ceiling, Mind you i have a 2 month old child. The property manager informed me that there is no mold in the apartment but they did NOT cut a hole in my living room ceiling where all the water damage is so they cannot for sure say that there is absolutely positvely NO mold in my apartment. This also tells me they arent going to fix the issue properly this is not the first time ive had water damage to my living room ceiling last time they just painted over the spot and im pretty sure that's what there going to do this time. Instead of gutting the whole ceiling and fixing the real issue. I've asked to be transffered out of this apartment and the only response i get is this is a process! Not only is Weinstein Properties my place of employment, but I also live at one of our beautiful communities. I've worked onsite with WP for 3 years and have loved every minute of it. The level of customer service WP promotes is something I am very proud to be apart of and the best that I've seen within our industry. Thank you for the experiences I have been able to partake in, as well as the knowledge and skills that I have gained. I love working for a company that genuinely cares and values their employees and residents.

Update: 6/21/2018 The team at Weinstein has NOT been in touch with me as stated below. A copy of the move out statement was signed with out my signature and falsified as stated below. I have asked for pictures and any other documentation and not been provided anything but a drummed up move out statement after being refused a move out inspection. I was told this matter was resolved and 5 years later it has been put on my credit report and you are acting like you don't know anything about it. Please provide your email so we can have communications off line vs. publicly.

I have left a voicemail message every day since last Friday 6/15/2018 for the Human resources department to return my call regarding an issue that the Vice President of this company told me was resolved 5 years ago. The mgmt company utilized my apartment as a model to show the unit type to future renters, mortgage company inspections, etc. At the time of move out I was strategically denied a move out inspection, when I tried to set appt's to do the move out inspection I was told that we could arrange it at a "later date". No one would ever walk the unit with us.. We came back several times to do the inspection and turn in keys but the staff just insisted I leave the keys as the staff was "too busy." The maintenance staff warned us not to turn in keys w/o staff present to inspect because the Manager made everyone pay for new carpet rather it needed it or not or she had made derrogatory remarks. The very unethical property manager Christine Sammons Denton asked a carpet cleaning vendor to give a false document stating that the carpet had to be replaced, the vendor informed me. The carpet was brand new and did not need replaced. The Maintenance staff was told to sign off on a false move out inspection report or they would they would lose their job. After several conversations with persons in Corporate office I was told that the debt was removed and apologized to. Today, 5 years later, the matter has resurfaced and the Management company is acting like they know nothing about the resolution. I have left several messages for human resources to revisit their part and they are not returning my calls. I have been a Property Manager for 25 years. Im CAM, CAPS, CFC, and an NAAEI trainer. This company violated so many ethics and fair housing rules it astonishes me. I woulds like to believe this is a human error. Please call me!

BEWARE! Misleading Leasing Staff at a Weinstein managed property! I was very clear with the gentlemen in leasing about my credit history, income, and rental history. The latter two which are spotless, first not as much (I am rebuilding after some tough times). I was very upfront and thorough about my credit situation. After which I was strongly lead to the impression that the multiple factors that are used in there applicant 'scoring' would put me as approved or more likely approved with conditions. One application fee later, I get a call from someone else in their leasing office. I am told that I am denied, and because it was someone else they had no knowledge of what was said before I applied. I inquired about how to obtain the information that was used to determine my applicant criteria and deny me, but my inquiries were not answered. The long and short of it is, I was mislead by their leasing staff so that they could get an easy application fee from me. The best judge of someone is how they treat others when they are down. The leasing staff at Addison At Swift Creek Apartments essentially kicked me in the stomach grabbed my wallet and ran off while I was down. I will be following up because it is my right as a consumer to receive the information that they used to deny me. Shame on your leasing staff.

It is true what others are saying about the company. They are dishonest and will attempt to do anything just to get money from their tenants. I was charged over $400 for an already damaged carpet upon move-out. I was also charged to remove a satellite dish that belonged to the previous renters. I've been sent to collections for these mischarges and plan to discuss resolutions with an attorney.

Awful experience at end of my 7/8 years there. Just rude and disrespectful behavior that I experienced with office staff. Same disrespect came from their corporate Office. The staff gets you in an apartment. After you re in they don t care about you or your family. Raise rates annually by at least $50 so be prepared to deal with capitalism at its finest.
One last thing, if you decide to rent from Weinstein properties keep in mind that your rent renewal rates are negotiable. Don t just check a box, go in office and barter with them, it s your money.

I've been with WP for about 2 years. I absolutely love working here and the training and growth opportunities that have been offered. I've gotten to work at 3 of our communities each of which brought a different learning experience, new challenges, and new staff to grow and train. Customer service is a big focus and I love that it's a family owned company. Definitely made the right decision relocating from NOVA to RVA.

Customer service is so bad!! No one every answers the phone. Beautiful property. But I'm moving when my lease is up because you can get anyone to call back with leaving a nasty message. We pay $1600+ a month, and a have to beg to get a call back. Courting down the days when we can move.

A list of a few of our issues should help others understand why they should not move here.
- Multiple animals had to be cut out of our walls on Palace Ct.
- Reported issues 8 times before dryer fixed.
- Washer caught on fire.
- Often no parking for residents near their apartments, because visitors without parking passes take the reserved spots. This has been an ongoing issue for the years.
- Neighbor allowed dogs to defecate and urinate on our shared cement patio. Residents do not have an outside water source. So the waste stayed until it rained. Then it would wash onto our side of the patio. The patio has a partial wall between neighbors. The smell was so overhwelming that we could not even use our back patio area for months. We had to complain multiple times and send pics to get this corrected.
- Our hardwood floors started warping badly a couple of months ago. We reported it, and they have never been fully fixed. At first the main concern was that the floors were causing people to stumble and trip. I have neurological issues and my balance is compromised without the floor being wavy. We did home mold tests that showed a lot of mold growth. The office said there is mold int he air and the tests were not considered admissible. The amount of mold shown is not normal by any standard. We finally took pictures under our house last night, and it showed how much moisture is still under the house, missing insulation, and wood rot (probably from the moisture). They told us about a week ago that we could give a 30 day notice and be out of our lease without a penalty. After the mold tests, and having to fight to get information from the office, we asked to move sooner. This has caused a financial hardship - covering deposits and movers. We have asked to have December's rent removed to cover the expenses caused by us having to move due to the unhealthy environment. To this date, Kings Crossing has not done a mold test. Yesterday, we were told under the house was dry and we looked ourselves. It is wet. We have pictures. They gave us dehumidifiers to run (running up our electric bill) to dry the inside floor. The carpenter said he would return daily.and never came back. So we did not contiutnue to run them past a few hours the first day. We were told that is how under the house was dried. ? It has been months since we first reported the floor issue, and today Kings Crossing said we were welcome to move out before December if we do not want to pay further rent. It is November 30th!!! I was beyond insulted.

I called to have the cheese drawer in my fridge fixed. The guy came to fix it but didn't fix it well because it broke again within 2 weeks. Without notification, I got a $16 charge on my account. When I asked about it, the office staff said "we charge on a case by case basis...we fixed it the first time as a courtesy." I asked them to give me a list of things I would have to pay extra for if they break. They said that list doesn't exist. Meaning they can charge me for whatever, whenever and without notice. The office manager insulted my intelligence by saying " well you have the option to not get it fixed" then asked what I was trying to get from this whole thing. I think she thought because she said it while smiling I wouldn't catch the sarcasm. I have had to call them to fix my toilet twice. Not because it broke a 2nd time, but they neglected to fix it and wrote a note on my door saying "job completed." STAY AWAY from the apartments owned by this company. The apartments looks nice but their service is terrible. I payed a lot less in rent for way better service and nicer people at my last apartment.

I've had the pleasure of working for this company for a little over four years. I started out as a Leasing Consultant and have worked my way into the Human Resources department. I have received extensive training and support in every role that I've had with WP, which I am forever grateful for. If that isn't enough, everyone I have met within the company has welcomed me with open arms and I am truly lucky to have found my work family in WP!
If you are looking for a company who values family, training/support, and growth from within, look no further and apply with WP!
