I lived at the Springfield property for 3 years. No issues to begin with, however the problems began when I had a change of roommates and my email address was apparently entered incorrectly. So far, no big deal, I asked that they change it for me so that I could set up my online account to pay rent. This never happened despite me specifically requesting it the next 4 times that I had to manually walk a check in (I gave up after that). Back to the change of roommates. When my new roommate came in to sign for the remainder of the current lease, he and I were told that we both had to sign for a whole new lease, which seemed odd to me but I signed anyway assuming that meant a new 12 month lease. 6 months later I walked in to pay rent and all of a sudden the rent had changed from $1090 to $1350. I was told that I had failed to provide 60 days notice of move out, so my lease was automatically for 2 months at the higher rate. I was also told that I was sent a reminder to my email...... (the one that they NEVER FIXED). The funny thing is that I had never intended on moving, I would have signed a new lease and continued to live there if the incompetence of the office staff had not cost me over $500. So at this point I am stuck paying the higher rate for 2 months. So I signed for the next 60 days and almost made the mistake of the office when I realized that the 60 days that I had just signed for WAS NOT the 60 day notice of move out. So they tried to get me for another 2 months by letting me walk out without signing the notice of move out. also, upon moving out I was charged for several things that were questionable however it wasn't outrageous so I just paid in the hopes that that would be the final settlement and I would never have to talk to anyone in that office ever again.
