This has been a total nightmare, my uber driver was very strange I left my major set of keys inside his car I've tried contacting uber and him, the first time he answers I tried making everything convenient for him to give me my keys back I even offered to pay his drive so that he can return my key, this driver insisted on me to give him my address to drop my keys inside my mailbox however I'd told him over and over I wasn't home and did not feel comfortable giving him my address if I'm not home. He hung up on me right after I told him maybe we should arrange something with uber to get my keys back. It has been 9 days I've changed the locks inside my house because I feel unsafe, I tried getting another car key because I don't have a spare, and it'll cost me $400 just to replace a car key, I have keys from work and thank God my boss was understanding and did not fire me for having to change the business 's locks, I needed up getting a rental hoping he'll return them to uber LIKE HE SAID HE WOULD AS WELL AS UBER through emails, but that never happened so now here I am 9 days have passed by and this man is running around not answering at all and uber keeps stringing me along, I UNDERSTAND UBER IS A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY AND CAN CARE LESS ABOUT CUSTOMER SAFETY, BUT I AM HOPING SOMEONE SEES THIS AND KNOWS THEY REALLY DO NOT CARE, THEYRE THE MIDDLE MAN AND THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE A CUSTOMER CARE HOTLINE. SO MUCH FOR BEING A BILLIONAIRE COMPANY. I'm 2 days away from my birthday I've spent so much money on everything this person has caused me to lose over $1000 so far from a simple UBER RIDE THIS IS SUCH AN INCONVENIENCE BUT I GUESS AS LONG AS THEY KEEP GETTING THEIR BILLION THEY CAN GIVE A RAT ASS ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS WHO INITIALLY MADE THEM BILLIONAIRES

Works great in SF, and as long as it's not surging, the pricing isn't actually that different from the not-as-premium branded services. In fact it seems to be slightly cheaper than Lyft, the main competition. If you're in surge tho, that's another matter, and there are several other better choices like Lyft, Sidecar, TaxiMagic, or Summon.

This is a company totally misguided in it's priorities. One arm of it doesn't know what the other is doing. Conflicts in praise and they definitely practice retaliation. Unfeeling and egotistical, with almighty "SUPPORT" running the show from an armchair. This company is greedy and just really sucks in a hundred different ways. I was sidelined because of a medical handicap and Uber's willingness to believe a couple of naysayers out of hundreds of riders leaving praise and compliments. Uber treats you like an expendable nuisance. They have no appreciation for the costs and hard work it takes to be a good Uber driver. 1000 ride driver.

I honestly have loved using Uber, until Saturday night! The driver who was on his way Jatinder with Best Way Limousine & Sedan services was unable to find my address. I had missed calls from the driver as I did not hear my phone (it was on silent). I did not know the exact address to where I was, that is why the GPS locater is such a great feature. SO PRETTY MUCH .... the driver obviously got pissed that he came to pick me up and then unable to find me had to drive back to wherever he was going. HE CHARGED ME $48 FOR A RIDE I DID NOT TAKE!!!!!!!!!!!! He even dared to enter a pick-up and drop off address and charged me for a 20min. long drive. I understand if there was a cancelation fee... IT WOULD NOT BE THAT MUCH! And also the ride I was planning on taking that night WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN THAT MUCH!!! So pretty much as a customer you are unprotected from fraudulent drivers! THIS ISSUE HAS NOT YET BEEN RESOLVED!!!!!!!!!!

If I could choose a 0 stars I would. I am an Uber Driver Partner with Uber Eats. This is the worst paying job I have ever had. I need to stop driving. I make about 11 cents a minute on time and 40 cents a mile. That comes to about $5.00 an hour plus, it cost me about 9 cents a mile to cover auto costs. This week they just lowered our wages even more.

I generally don't write reviews about a company unless there's a good story to tell. When Uber launched in the Tampa, Fl market with radio and TV commercials about being able to work at your convenience and earn extra income by turning an App on and off, it sounded interesting to me, so I signed up. That was over three years ago, whenever I had some free time I drove people around and made extra pocket change, easy job.

Over those three years, as the app developers updated and revised the software I started noticing how manipulative this company has become.
Like I mentioned above, Uber is a real part time gig for me, there was a time I made some money when I worked the platform, but over the last several months I've noticed that their algorithm has picked up on that and I don't get as many rides as I use to.

This morning I was on my way to Tampa International Airport, the App was already running on the way there and not one single ping, as I entered the ridesharing lot my position on the queue was 36 of 40. Then within two minutes the strangest thing happened, my position in the queue dropped to 11 of 15, then 6 of 10 and finally 1 of 5. I could tell that something or someone was manipulating the queue positions because from 8:55am to 9:50am as I sat there in the 1 of 5 position, other driver phones were being pinged and I'm still waiting. At 9:50am I finally get pinged for a short ride with the option of returning within 12hrs and I turned the App off. To me that's clear manipulation and equal opportunity violation.

Experiencing problems with drivers or with app; There is no option to call and speak with a Customer Service representative. There is no email contact. The only method is via text. Some of us older customers can't text as our younger counterparts nor are as adept at using the smartphone technology. Uber needs to consider this option unless they really don't care about seniors.

Beware of using Uber!!! My Uber account was hacked and used in another country. My drivers have always given me great service but the fraudulent charges are not being addressed in a timely manner. You cannot close your own account. If you use Uber, use a credit card that you can easily reverse charges on. Uber software and management has serious security problems and they rely on their customers and their customers banks to do their security work. It is like the mall not having security and expecting store owners and customers to protect themselves.

I won t be using Uber anymore not only was my ride terrible I send a message to the help team asking for a full refund which was less then $20 and all I get is a refund for the waiting charges that shouldn t have even been there because the driver didn t follow directions and was waiting at total opposite side of my apartment. The refund was $1.52 I stated since my ride was terrible I don t want to have to pay for the ride at all I was told that s all they can do. The driver wasn t listening to directions before he even got to me and made us late for our anniversary dinner. We kept telling him where the restaurant was and he wasn t listening. For the company to honor my refund for $17.59 for their driver not listening is crazy to me. On top of that I had to call him and he was like arguing with me back and fourth about being outside at the wrong building and I kept saying air not your not I m outside it was raining bad as well. If this is how this company treats there customers I don t want no part in it and won t use UBER anymore. I guess I will have to download lyft. Having my driver be unprofessional then having the help people not care that was just the icing on the cake. It s just sad because I have been using Uber since probably like 2015 maybe or 2016 not sure even worked for them at one point and this is the first time I had this service where my drive was bad and the help support was bad as well.

I believe Uber is a racist and sexist company to say the least, I worked for them my car was well prepared clean, cool and I'm the safest driver 15 years not even a parking ticket and yet I was getting the most awful customers mostly drunk, high, or simply rude. Despite my amazing service some drunk costumer gave me a low rate because I would only go to what the Uber GPS direct me and costumers cheat in giving different addresses. They do not have a phone line for riders to call, or an easy way to select help on their application or even when calling their headquarters. What kind of customer oriented service doesn't care about their customers like this. There is basically no way to reach someone from their company and they frankly do not care if paying customers can provide feedback or else they would make it easier for their customers to reach out.

Also, they did not answer why the company put a political advertisement for Californian riders. This political ad would benefit their company and the customer is shown this every time they select the option to pay and order their ride. Completely inappropriate.

Just returned from a week in San Francisco where I used Uber 90% of the time with 0 problems. Well, not entirely true. I asked to have an Uber sent to 18th Street when I was on 18th Avenue and naturally the Uber went to 18th Street, as I had requested but I wasn't. Cost me $5.00 but the honest mistake was mine and not with Uber.
I fail to understand why people use cabs when Uber is available. Any time, any place in the city at a reasonable price I am almost magically whisked away to my destination of choice and usually with less than 2 minutes wait time.
No exchange of funds in the vehicle, billing is automatic so I can travel without holding currency. How great is that?? Go Uber!!
I'd like to try driving for them and tray out the other side. All the drivers I spoke with, and I spoke with them all, loved the Uber set up that allowed them to work or not work, take a break for 5 minutes, 5 hours, 5 days or however long you want, get to choose if you work night or day, weekends or weekdays, holidays or no holidays. What other job gives you those options???

Uber is a great concept but maintains an extreme lack of internal support, integrity, and compassion for their drivers. They informed me to re upload my inspection form that THEY provided me multiple times because they could not figure out why it could not get approved. Knowing full well that if i uploaded the same document multiple times they would deactivate my account. So now here i am a 5 star rated driver who has helped a number of new drivers get on the road with a deactivated account because i simply followed the direction of the support staff. My own personal mistake as i should have trusted my gut when i called in multiple times and felt like i was dealing with a child who just gives you the answers you want to hear so that they don t get in trouble. But i wanted to post this review because of the principle of it all. Uber provided me with a basic elementary inspection form that i paid a mechanic to complete (i passed as my vehicle is brand new) and then uploaded it. Their team of specialists (yeah more like a scapegoat for you not having any answers) could not approve the form for reasons that not even Uber could communicate to me. The only answer they could give was to re upload the file. If you do this three times and it fails your account gets deactivated. Seems like a stupid rule? Why would they not simply call or message you and tell you why it failed so you know how to correct it? Well i listened to Uber s instruction and uploaded the same file 3 times. Account was deactivated and so i asked to speak to a supervisor who was not available and would call me back. Now its clear why you have no answers. Why would you?! Your boss is nowhere to be found! I doubt i will ever get a call back but if a few people read this and get a bad taste in their mouth for Uber i will be happy. But all i really want is an apology and for somebody to simply say oh this is why it was rejected, can you fix this for us? My account should be reactivated and we can simply move on from this. But i fear that this will not happen and i worry how many other drivers are effected by similar issues. The lack of integrity is staggering to me. But they will get a wake up call when the competition out there actually takes care of their drivers. I also drive for lyft and i will continue to do so gladly. I just hope Uber will man up and take responsibility so that they can earn back my respect. I admire the concept but it is clearly mismanaged and needs to clean house so they can have a staff who can provide answers and real support for their drivers. UPDATE: called back in and spoke to a supervisor who still had no answers. Told her that if they actually listened to the calls they claim to record she could find that one of their employees told me to upload this document multiple times and she said yes thats true and now you are permanently deactivated. Asked her if she felt that was flawed and if she felt uber had a lot of issues to work out and she agreed. I apologized that she had to work there and ended the conversation. Then i read this morning that they just fired 400 people! Mismanaged! Whos going to buy this company!?

I have worked for Uber for almost three years. I was rear ended not at fault and hurt my spine and shoulder and uber will not give me medical care or pay for my time off work. Instead, I keep receiving emails and calls from ubers insurance and uber to get me "back on the road" to fix my car and take photos using their app. Uber sent me an email saying that Uber is not an employer and that I am an independent contractor. Working for uber is not a safe job as under unemployment. I am very upset.

The true colors of any company shows when issues arise and, unfortunately, it just validates what others have already been stating. Uber's customer service is appalling. My boyfriend and I split a recent Uber trip from which we have both received not only a receipt showing payment, but also bank statements showing our cards being charged and payments being accepted. After that trip, Uber has placed me on a hold because I supposedly have an outstanding balance and am unable to request rides until it has been resolved.

I have attempted multiple times already to speak with customer service through the phone application and all they keep telling is that I have an outstanding balance. I even went and reviewed my trip to see how much I would owe and there is no proof regarding a need for payment. The only thing I see is to an option to add additional tip to the driver. I have sent screenshots of the receipt and bank statement, but they refuse to listen and continue to claim I have an outstanding balance without proof. They have offered to help with the charge, but they can't even show me the appropriate invoice.

Only after the trip was done and the receipt received, is it obvious the pricing and route were not as originally presented by Uber? 20 percent over original price quote, yet the distance and time remained the same? You knew I was getting picked up from O Hare yet added the airport fee later! Your base fare was not even included in original number? I can understand some variable fees but if it s fixed like a booking fee? So from 43.26 initially to $54.01. At this point I am not questioning Uber s ability to to implement app functions but rather Uber business practices? Please explain. In addition I hope you are treating your drivers good! Obrad did a most excellent job negotiating traffic safely and efficiently, all with a pleasant attitude. With Human Resources as valuable as this young man, I hope your driver turnover rate is in decline.

This review is for the company and its support/customer service team. I have very good experience with Uber drivers.

This happened when I wanted to switch payment method. Usually when I dropped my car off at the dealer, they d get me home with their shuttle service. The dealer stopped the shuttle service for Saturdays and gave customers Uber Coupon instead. So I get an Uber ride home paid through my Apple pay. Once I arrived home I went to their website to switch the payment method to Uber coupon. Customer service rep Flo contacted me told me that I can t change it to coupon since the ride was completed already. The website stated that rider can change the payment method within 30 days. Flo insisted the coupon needs to be redeemed before the ride. I sent in another request, another Customer service rep Mounika contacted me. Stated that the trip was requested on August 15th, 2020, at 8:57am and the voucher was added on the account on August 15th, 2020, at 8:59am. Said that the voucher can be applied towards a trip only when the voucher is added on the account and is active. Therefore, Uber will not be able to refund this trip.

Two rep tells different stories. My thinking is that they make up whatever rules they want since there is nothing regarding using the coupon in their website. Uber does not want to honor the coupon they issued. No more Uber for me.
