The true colors of any company shows when issues arise and, unfortunately, it just validates what others have already been stating. Uber's customer service is appalling. My boyfriend and I split a recent Uber trip from which we have both received not only a receipt showing payment, but also bank statements showing our cards being charged and payments being accepted. After that trip, Uber has placed me on a hold because I supposedly have an outstanding balance and am unable to request rides until it has been resolved.
I have attempted multiple times already to speak with customer service through the phone application and all they keep telling is that I have an outstanding balance. I even went and reviewed my trip to see how much I would owe and there is no proof regarding a need for payment. The only thing I see is to an option to add additional tip to the driver. I have sent screenshots of the receipt and bank statement, but they refuse to listen and continue to claim I have an outstanding balance without proof. They have offered to help with the charge, but they can't even show me the appropriate invoice.
Uber is horrible.
