I've driven for and have been a customer of Uber in the past. Never again. #DeleteUber
On 4/14/2020, I attempted to purchase food through the Uber eats app. The payment was processed and debited from my account. Immediately after I received a message on the app saying the the order was canceled by the restaurant, they were no longer taking orders. Another message stated that the funds would be credited back to my account. After 10 days of waiting with no response or update I reached back out to the Uber Support. After my second attempt I finally got a response, on 4/27/2020. I was told that there was a temporary hold on my account because of the canceled order and I should receive the refund within 3-5 business days. It is now 5/10/2020, almost a month later and I still have not received my refund or any further update. Not only that, the customer support is none existent, no numbers to call and no direct online chat. I understand things are moving slower during this pandemic but it should not take a month to receive a $15 refund when I have been a customer and driver on the platform for over 5 years now. That is crazy!!!

Uber Eats stole 40 dollars from me. Placed an order only to realize I typed the wrong address. Immediately canceled. Got charged the money anyway. I called customer service and a very rude person told me they will absolutely not give me a refund. Uninstalled the app immediately. You can make way more than 40 dollars from a customer who orders regularly. But you choose not to. Unethical and dishonest company.
I am or rather I was employed by the Uber eat company until a week ago, when uber, due to criticism I made of its mismanagement to guarantee workers gloves, masks, and alcohol gel, I BLOCKED THE APP. My restaurant and customer satisfaction rate was low 86%. It is seen that telling the truth is uncomfortable for some companies. I advise you now they have many employees because there is a high unemployment rate and many people are doing this work as a mechanism to enter "money" into their homes. Be careful because UBER is manipulating its employees according to their coexistence and needs. And if you make them uncomfortable, for being an honest person and with values they make you out in a second
People are driving for Uber because of convenience and not because they like to. Uber is the worst platform who has no sympathy for the people who actually made them billionaires. Shove it!
I am surprised by the bashing reviews. Uber certainly beats taxis. Uber's rates are much lower, their response faster, and their drivers friendlier and less stinky. But public transportation (buses, trains, and trolleys) often takes about the same amount of total time for a tiny fraction of Uber's cost.

Uber Eats allows delivery persons to make several stops therefore food is delivered cold, inedible and they don't take responsibility for it. Food components were a mixture of hot and cold that could not be reheated unless you picked out the cold chopped components out of the entree. Furthermore they place blame on the restaurant or driver but do nothing to replace your food or money. If you just burn your money it's the same result but a better experience, at least you'll have something hot.
I left 300 dollars in a Uber driver car and he said he had other rides after me meaning he picked up my 300 and took it and blamed it on his riders I see they are not making enough money to be honest employees so I will be meeting with someone this afternoon

uber executives have purposely oriented the company's business model toward fraud and illegality. the executives at Uber want to pay drivers less like independent contractors but make them work more like employees. the laws provide independent contractors with protections that allow drivers to be able to determine whether a task is financially, economically, legally, or physically detrimental. the company cannot force them to work and so do not have to provide any worker benefits such as health insurance, but in my experience, the uber executives have made the app to force drivers to work like employees, with the threat of permanent loss of work and pay for refusing rides even if the task is legally or financially detrimental, even if the company can only earn $1 from the ride and the driver's suffered loss is disproportionately high. hopefully all the corrupt executives will be eventually replaced at Uber
Uber telephone response is most assumptive and inadequate
From the view of riders, it is way better than taxi. However, from the view of drivers, drivers are under paid and sometimes did not get paid for trips they made.

Uber has truly declined in service. 80+ rides 10+ uber eats orders. One driver stole 88$ worth of food. Never got refunded after weeks of follow ups. Ended up deleting my account for both Uber and Uber Eats. It was the worst experience I've ever gone through. I can't imagine another company partially one this big being so awful

Uber only exists on an app, They have no offices or phones to call for any support what so ever. I'm pretty sure Their San Francisco Office is nothing more than a farce.
Trying to reach ANY HUMAN for a dispute is impossible. Trying to EXPLAIN an issue via e-mail results in the same "I'm sorry for your experience, follow the help suggestions on the website" canned answer. If the website HELPED I wouldn't need to e-mail for HELP. Drivers who do NOT SPEAK ANY ENGLISH should really NOT be providing a service.
I tried multiple times to request an Uber who was a trusted personal friend. I had sedation for a medical procedure and couldn't just ride with anybody. Your mobile app SUCKS and I was extremely inconvenienced. I had to keep cancelling rides be my trusted friend's car wasn't showing up which I was IN already! Why isn't there a phone number to call someone to work this out?? So frustrating and upsetting! I'm moving over to Lyft who doesn't have these issues.

- Needs to get highly up-to-date with their billing, software, driver road knowledge, and GPS technologies. The customer's that use the app service everyday will show you in words how well Uber takes care of it's rider's.

Dropped my Iphone in an Uber car. Called Uber right away, it took 10 minutes to connect and pass through the security questions. When I asked them to connect me with the driver right away, they said they don't have access to the driver and I have to contact lost and found. I said it may be stolen by a passenger and plz put me in touch with the driver, and every second is crucial, they said this is the procedure. Ridiculous.

You download the app to make extra money right? You start driving and after couple of weeks you will know the game.
Honestly, you are not actually earning yes you earn cash but eventually you will spend the cash because you are driving cost
plus if you are in a car accident Uber does not care if you lose you car, they take their money and all they say sorry I m not saying that they should fix or help you fix your car but seriously your probability of being in a car accident is high since you drive too much for just a very little amount of money. You may make 1 thousands a month but lose it in just in couple seconds with a car accident.
Plus your probability of getting traffic tickets is high as well. You earn 100 and pay it within seconds.
Also, their promotions are working better for them not for you, it looks great and you make money but your hard work does not pay enough, instead they earn more.
You do way too many great things but one negative customer gets all the attention you will probably get punished for it. They care more about the rider not the driver.
The app crashed on me, I was working for a promotion that requires to be online to get the offer for couple trips in a row. The app crashed in the middle of the trips and I had to start all over again. Contacted the support but no help even though they can check it in the system reports.
That s my experience driving with Uber, it s nice but you need to do the math and understand how Uber works to know how to actually earn money driving for Uber.
Give it a try don t just make your assumptions based on my experience.

I had trouble with my bill - it was way more expensive than it should have been and then instead of helping me with the problem Uber support charged me even more than my already over priced bill. And now no one will answer my emails to handle this mess up and now every number I have tried to call to talk to a real live person, all are dead ends. No one picks up and they don't go to voicemail so you can't even leave a message. I am so frustrated with Uber right now. I had never had a problem in the past and I really liked using Uber but now that I know how horrible their customer service is I don't think I will be using them anymore and I would advise others to go with a company that actually cares about their customers.

this review is unfortunately going too be very bad. being a former uber driver i attempted to get some info relating to pay. i did lose the device i used for uber. There is very little in the way of help available if your not signed into thier app
So if you want to drive with Uber you have to be carful,they are using your personal data and open more then one account in your name and trying to tell you you aren t in your primary account,I m at the local police department and even they told me it s going around.
And the best part is, there is NO phone number you can call, and the emails are automated. no customer service.

after going to pick someone up, waiting on them, taking them anywhere they want, being very polite and courteous to them, having nice conversation with them, they get out of your car, most of the time not even considering giving you a dollar for a tip, and on top of that give you a less than 5 rating.
My account got hacked and Uber is very difficult to get in contact with. Warning to all do not use Uber as their support sucks! No direct support phone line and emailing is going to take too long especially in a matter when your account gets hacked.

Uber barely pays it's drivers enough to compensate for the wear on their vehicles
September 2014 cut the fares and driver's reimbursement by 20%. July 31, 2015 cut it another 15% in South Bay and East Bay. With expenses, barely making minimum wage.

If you drive for Uber, and purchase a new vehicle, don't expect to use it on Uber for months. Or if the app crashes, it will dump all your approved documents. The support in India wants to help resolve the issues, but never can.
The maps Uber uses are full of errors that leave you embarrassed navigating to a wrong location. The maps also display [ROUTING] INSTEAD of showing destination. The app is an abysmal data hog, so expect your cell bill to triple or more. When you are truly off course, put the destination into Google Maps. It doesn't swap between the Uber app and Google maps, and your cell phone or tablet will need to be restarted every one or two trips.
Uber doesn't really care about your rating, except to weed out poor drivers.

Trying to become a driver. Registered second car, but have been waiting for 2 days to get the car approved. This car belongs to my friend and is already approved! Driver Support is form letters that are slightly modified. LYFT approved the same car in 2 hours!

First and foremost, I do not have a license, so I used to rely heavily on Uber, but after having a terribly rude Uber driver who drove off, nearly breaking my fingers, which were in his door handle, and nearly driving over my toes, I attempted to contact Uber for assistance, and was blatantly ignored, I have stopped using Uber, for Lyft and have not had another negative experience since. I'm a driver and recently purchased a new 2019 vehicle so I could drive more hours for uber without worries. I supplied the info required to uber ( insurance, registration) and learned it takes 2-4 hours for approval. That was 4 days ago. I've called driver support 3 times only to be told " be patient " and that they could not do anything for me. I drive for Lyft also and the approval came in about 10 minutes. I'm expecting Uber's driver appreciation movement is all lip service. Waiting for Uber to be in the national news soon......again.

I made an appointment for a friend to become a driver and the attendant confirmed my full name, but my surprise is not showing my indicated here for me, and to complete I found that the attendant created another email to my friend and did not put my code, he passed my leg, this is absurd if we have a code to be encouraged to invite other people, I took him there I spent gas, for nothing.
Treat drivers like dogs ........ Been driving about 2 years. Drunk customer gets in my vehicle, after I dropped them off. They froze my account. They replied that customer contact them and told them I was to sleepy to drive. What the hell.

Uber has some of the most interesting interior design in its offices. Each floor is a city and all meeting rooms are named after significant streets. This was chosen because TK really just loves cities, and they are the heart of Uber's business.
There is one floor with especially wild design, it's mirrored with smoky glass everywhere, like an enormous disco. It's a bit hard to get around in.
I can never get support when I need help. I was an uber eats driver and my ratings went from 100 to 96 all because uber eats support was not there to help me. Now my acct is deactivated for there own fault not mine if I could give zero stars I would. They messing with people lives and financial support. I don't like how they say they will not count late deliveries against you when they have blackouts for 2 hours but they do. Then they don't have real live support even at their headquarters it's a joke. Playing with people lives

I love how easy it is to sign up to drive with Uber. The app is awesome, and it's so seamless! Things just seem to go right for me every time. The corporate office looks really good, even without street view on Google Maps! I really want to visit as soon as I'm able to.
The only thing I wish is: that they would contact me about things that I ask for. Like having legal help when it comes to expanding Uber to my city. They listen to me, but they don't listen to me. I've worked with the local government in Lake Jackson, Texas to create a permit for Uber Drivers, as of 10-28-2015, on my own with no help from Uber, or even Uber Houston.
Just in the past 2 weeks, I've been seeing networking vehicles with Mapping equipment on them. Their support team in Houston never gives me relevant information concerning expansion to my city, getting a corporate job within the company, or having a new Partners building, etc.
No one knows of any legal team member, manager or anything of the sort in Houston, and when you try to get a phone number and or someone over the phone, it's all wrong. And the email support team members, that I am at least privileged to speak with, always give me the run around about things like this. It's as if no one is experienced or innovative enough to actually reach out, dig into the situation, and give relevant advice to their partner drivers and help them when they need help.
I have also left a suggest edit and snuck in a message to whoever it may concern about expansion in my city. I have been in communication about this since September 28, 2015 and I still have not received a proper, relevant, and professional response.
