Telsco has been fantastic for helping us with our new security system. Our sales rep Kimble helped fit us in on our tight timeline. Our technician Chris was cheerful, hardworking, went above and beyond and explained things in a simple and concise manner. He also cleaned up before leaving and ensured there was no mess left behind, he took the time to clean his boots before entering the office each time which is a rarity in the install/construction world! The system works well, is intuitive and it was a great overall customer experience. 5 enthusiastic stars.

A very positive experience from sales to installation. Sales: straight forward costs; no "five year contract" kind of garbage; prompt call back, clear and detailed quote. Service: on-site person was professional and efficient. Fixed the issues that I had with existing hardware (because it was installed wrong); set up features that were important to me; cleaned up every last piece of dust (including scrapping old stickers off my windows). Response: call back on my first false alarm was IMMEDIATE (previous company was sometimes 10-15 minutes before then called). Staff at the call centre are courteous and helpful. What a change from the adversarial approach of the previous "International" company that I was with.

My business would be under water if it wasn't for them! We had a severe storm that knocked out power for a few hours. Got a call from them shortly after notifying us a flood sensor was triggered in the sump basin. We successfully ended up using one of the battery backups they provided for our surveillance system to get the sump pump running for a straight 7 minutes before the back-up battery died out. Just long enough for my friend to show up with a generator. Thanks for saving the day guys, they definitely had our back when it counted the most.

Our Telsco experience was amazing to say the least from a customer satisfaction perspective.
Beginning with the quoting process to the end of the installation all the staff were knowledgeable, respectful and competent at their trade.
Of particular mention was the tech who performed the installation. He was extremely technically component, spent time to answer questions, highly particular with making certain everything worked properly before leaving. A first class gentleman to say the very least. Hard to find folks like him.
Compared to the security company we previously had; Telsco is head and shoulders above them and quite frankly they are head and shoulders above most companies we have dealt with in respect to customer service/satisfaction.

Recently, the internet was down. Shaw took one week to respond with sending someone out, while Telsco was notified and they scheduled Mohammed for approximately an hour after being reconnected to the internet. Awesome job!!
Also, to note, having the same couple of Telsco representatives speaks loudly for the company. Since our installation of the security system, we any problems being dealt with has been with the same service reps --- so Telsco keeps their people which says volumes regarding the company itself!!

I chose Telsco because I wanted to support local business!! And I really liked the idea that if I ever had any issues with my system, the representatives are right in my own city. After reading a lot of other reviews about other security system companies, I chose to stay local and I am glad I did. To me, the price really is not that much more for the type of quality service I have received and the money gets to stay here in Edmonton. Telsco was my security provider for eighteen years at my previous

and for the duration of our relationship I was provided with excellent service. Then I moved and since the new home had an already installed product, I opted to continue that service. Imagine my surprise when I went online and found that not only was Telsco still in the business but they had remained a local company. I immediately contacted them. They came to my home, reviewed my existing equipment, gave me a quote and had my system converted to their service within weeks. I have had my Telsco alarm system since February of 2020, and have only good things to say about Telsco, I have had a very positive experience from sales to installation to current service.

I have a complicated house to install an alarm and I needed the sales person to come on site to do a quote. Most companies quotes over the phone only. Their sales person Gene came to my house, he was very helpful and knowledgeable, and it was easy to choose what equipment and service I needed with him. The tech did a very good job despite that it was very hard to wire my house because of how complicated it is. I was amazed how he got the wires through in some of the places in my house. When we ran into some problems because of complexity of the house the problems were resolved quickly.

I would highly recommend Telsco to anyone.

The repairman, Oscar was amazing! He was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. He fixed the issue right away. We had been with a company for more than 20 years when they were bought by another company. We were very frustrated with the service and started looking around for options with our old hardwired system.

We found Telsco - from our very first interaction (requesting a quote via their website) to the house visit to go over our existing system, getting the quote, the installation of the upgrades and the continuous and constant contact to make sure that everything is ok - all of our experiences have been nothing less of impressive.

Every question we have - it is not a problem to take care of and get an answer for you. A good example - for the change over day, I needed to have a specific date to fit into our very busy schedule. It was no problem to get that date.

Today - customer service is everything. There is a lot of companies who say customer service is priority - we all know that is not the case. The one "1 star" review here sounds like user error to me haha. I have been with Telsco for about 5 years now. By far the best alarm company. The fact that everything is local and call center isnt in Kentucky or something is great. They know the city, know local law enforcement making it a very smooth service. We have had ZERO false alarms causing false dispatches. They are insanely quick to call your phone if the alarm is set off by accident by say the dog, or a loved that didnt get to the panel fast enough. I now have cameras outside and at the entrances as well so that if there is a break in they can see and can call police immediately.

They offer cutting edge tech and the best camera tech ive seen in comparison to the other "door to door" companies. Telscos service is top notch. The 1 or two issues I have had have been resolved in VERY short periods and the installation of my cameras and equipment is flawless. I would strongly recommend you choose Telsco over all other systems. You will not regret it. There is a reason the rating is so high. They make you feel like you are their only client. My wife and I have been a client of Telsco for a few years now, what initially drew us to Telsco was that they were recommended by a family friend and they are based locally in Edmonton, Alberta.

When we call Telsco for service we are not waiting for long periods over the phone. If their representative needs to call back or if they need to follow-up with further information they do return your calls. Able to schedule on-site service and will work with us to arrange times suitable (due to availability) within an acceptable time-frame.

Service technicians are very knowledgeable and are able to answer all questions. Able to identify what requires attention and what alternatives could be available.

Have accidentally tripped the alarm myself and I receive a call from Telsco within 30 seconds reporting a possible breach. Monitoring personnel are very professional and understanding.

We continually consider enhancements to the security features of our home and will continue to consult with Telsco for all such requirements.

Hello, I've been personally dealing with a Patti Jones & various tech's in the last 13months (2017 to current-jan 2019) an estate home. Whether its help with re-programming the keypad or help with an alarm that won't arm at an estate home. I would get technical support over the phone ASAP. Tech's were efficient & freindly- & I was never charge. If the alarm went off, Telsco would call me - Even for false calls I never had attitude on the phone nor was EVER charge for a false call. I would definately call them in the future for my personal home. I am happy with their level of service & but the estate home is now sold. I wanted to get this review out before too much time past.

He did a a fantastic job helping me try and find my new security system, unfortunately it wasn t the right time for us but when I m ready I will be going back! We've been TELSCO customer's for 15+ years and as will happen technology ages and needs to be upgraded at times. This was the case earlier in the year and at their recommendation had a new system and keypad installed to insure continued coverage and monitoring. Unfortunately, after the upgrade there was an unexpected issue that while not jeopardizing the system itself did make for a persisting annoyance. Although it took a couple of attempts I can't speak highly enough of TELSCO's commitment to look after their customers and in particular Kristin. She was always very prompt to reply, took our concerns seriously and treated us with the utmost respect & consideration for our time.

I ve been a customer for many year, for good reason. My most recent experience is yet again a reminder of why Telsco is the best. Telsco Is a principled local company focused on customer service and solid value for money. I recently decided to upgrade my system. Doug, in sales, was prompt, competent and explained by options in a way that was easy to understand. The price was very competitive and there was no attempt to upsell me beyond what I needed. Kam, the install technician, arrived promptly as scheduled. He is a trained and certified installer. Not all companies offer that, and this isn t often considered in comparing solely on cost. He too was very competent and professional. His work was meticulous. He fully tested the system and made sure I completely understood the new equipment before he left. I remain honestly impressed with this company and it s people. Enthusiastically recommended.

I was with Telsco from 2010-2019 and made a switch to another home security provider for various reasons. I have never had a home security system until I originally signed up with Telsco. I switched because a friend is a dealer/rep with another company and they had a very good promotion to get a wireless system on a 2year contract. So I made the switch :::::::::::: we ll let me tell ya the grass is NOT greener on the other side. I have had continuous system errors and nothing but trouble with this new system. I am only6 months in to the 2 year contract but am already counting down the days to return my security needs to Telsco. There s something to be said about a company who is locally based and the ability to call in and speak with someone immediately I wish I was never convinced to leave Telsco..........as it s the biggest mistake I ve made when it comes to home security in 10 years!! With Telsco I never had issues and IF I did or IF I needed any service work; additions; changes. It was prompt; no waits or lengthy holds on the phone and service calls were set up quickly. Currently with new security provider calls times are an hour wait ; responses to repair are over a week to two week waits to just get a response with another week wait for appointment. I took Telsco for granted and am now paying the price; I even had my front door attempted kicked-in ironically while my new-current system (which is NOT through Telsco) while it was down for a week and I was waiting for a service call to come. Telsco was ALWAYS their for me and my family- I have already been let down by this current provider but am obligated for 18 more months. TELSCO I WILL BE BACK-IM SORRY I LEFT!

We were having problems with one of our door sensors, so Patrick came to look at it for us. We were able to get the initial appointment promptly and Patrick arrived on time. Within a few minutes he had the problem solved and was on his way. He took the time to explain the situation, so that we knew exactly what was going on. We have had a Telsco Security System for years and highly recommend them - their service has always been phenomenal!

After being with ADT for approximately thirty years and finding their service to be less that satisfactory lately, after much research, we changed our service to Telsco. Have used Telsco Alarm services at home and for my business for 20 years now and would recommend no other. Recently had some upgrades done and Brian my technician went above and beyond to ensure everything was dialed.

We have had our Telsco alarm system for over 21 years. We ve never had an issue with it. Given its age we decided to upgrade it, as well as having a dog that sets it off. Newer motion detectors are better at not triggering for animals.

The salesperson explained why we should upgrade the system, made suggestions and worked with me so I got exactly what I wanted.

I have been a customer of TELSCO for over 10 years. I am a huge fan. The company is Edmonton based. Any contact I have is with a real person. I have had the odd alarm go and when I get a call it is from someone in Edmonton who is thoughtful, concerned and responsive. I have a vacation property out of Edmonton and had to use a different company. With that service I deal with recordings and automated messages and wait on hold to be connected with a person. TELSCO is head and shoulders better than that competitor which was the best option I had available.

Before switching to TELSCO I searched the web and called them. I had a good impression so I arranged to meet Craig. He was very friendly and likeable as well as very professional and very knowledgeable. So I decided to go with TELSCO. Craig coordinated everything and Kam installed it like a breeze professionally and very detailed. As well, Kam was very likeable and easy to talk to. Answered all my questions satisfactorily. Overall, it was awesome. Called Tech Support the day after and I was very satisfied. Hats off to you both and TELSCO for having such amazing people. Highly recommended.

I have been a Telsco customer for over 20 years now... the last few years I have added sites and Telsco has been there to help. Kelan has been our preferred tech for any little things that come up or changes we want to make. He just left here and I don't normally write these reviews but his service was so good I wanted to take the time to mention how positively stand out it was. Thanks Telsco and Kelan!

Our house was broken into in mid-August. The crook broke 2 doors, pulled all the drawers and took easy to carry items - cash, jewellery, car keys, etc. The insurance company changed the doors and locks but our sense of security was gone. It was time to secure the house. My niece in Calgary searched online and found Telsco. I looked up Telsco in Edmonton Better Business Bureau. It has the best review. I also saw quite a few Telsco signs in the neighbourhood - yes, the bad gusy are here, and yes, there are more Telsco signs here than other companies'.
So I called for a free consultation session. Long story short, all the Telsco employees that I have encountered (from sales, online chat, installation technician, service department to the Business Analyst I emailed with regarding billing) are friendly and helpful. No one tried to hard sell anything to us (stories I read online re other companies). I asked lots of questions and they were all answered very professionally. We eventually opted for a deterrence system - no surveillance cameras. The price was reasonable. A friend of mine went with another company around the same time. My cost was cheaper and I got more value for what I paid. There is no long term contract - just one year then it's month to month. My friend had to sign a 5 year contract. Our system was finally installed in early October - the only bad thing really because we had to wait for about 2 weeks as the installation team was busy. The sesnors were placed at such locatinos that they would provide a double hit to qualify for alerting the police in case there's a breakin. The online interface is very useful in setting up users/keyholders and system alerts. We have set up text/email notifications so we know exactly what is going on with the system being armed/disarmed or doors/windows being left open. It is also easy to arm/disarm the system using the app - from the car or lying in bed! I still have to overcome the anxiety of leaving my house, but at least I know Telsco is looking out for me. I am very happy that there's a local security company that I can trust - Telsco!

we are very happy with Telsco . The guy who came to our house and stall the system was very patience with us and friendly and knowledge. Overall, the staffs are very sincere and approachable and always response in a timely manner. We are happy we choose Telsco for our home security need.

Telsco was the most expensive system we looked at. My office and many friends use them so in spite of the cost we went with them. Certainly worth the extra cost. System works great and their service is superb. I am happy to pay a premium to get great system and service.

Just moved into a home that had a system installed and monitored by this company, so I figured it would be a simple process to call to reactivate the monitoring for us . Called on a Friday afternoon and sale person said it was getting late in the day and that they would get back to us on Monday ... by Wednesday after no response, I called and left a reminder message with this individual ... and now it's Friday a week later and still no response . Guess this may speak to the kind of response you may get from this company if you ever needed to actually call for assistance. I am now dialing other security companies for assistance .

>> Update - Telsco followed up and apologized for the communication issue. They stepped up & came thru with some very competitive pricing to get us up and running, as well as assisted with the add-on cost for a garage door opener. Updated our panel and smoke detector, no charge.
Sales rep Brandon was quite professional and informative, no pressure selling . They arranged for an after hours install to get us going right away. Installer ' Cam ' was again, professional and very knowledgeable, walking us thru the app set up and system use .
Wish I could have had this experience from the get go, but am glad we decided to use Telsco . Would recommend them .

I have been using Telsco now for about 6 years. I chose to go with them because they are a local company and monitor the system locally - evenings, weekends and holidays.
I have been so pleased with the service and the response times. When I've accidentally set off the alarm, they are consistently calling me within 20-30 seconds. When cooking, the steak i was doing in the oven ended up sending out more smoke than intended ... within 30 seconds of the fire alarm going off, Telsco was on the phone, checking to make sure everything was ok.
When family members accidentally forgot to disarm the system and set off the alarm, they got in contact with my emergency contact people (and tracked me down), asked if i wanted police response, and was able to remotely deal with the alarm.
I upgraded my system a few years ago to allow for internet-based access - the installer was professional and took so much time to ensure that i understood what i could do and that i was comfortable with all the features and the flexibility i now have.
This week, the system started sending out low battery notifications - the customer service representatives were effective, efficient and scheduled a time for a technician to come out which met my schedule. The technician arrived well inside the 2 hour window provided, called in advance to let me know he was on the way. He showed me how to replace the batteries in the motion sensors myself; gave me information on what could cause false alarms and checked/tested the rest of the system.
Every time I speak with someone from Telsco, I feel like the hear, understand and do their best to resolve any issues. Highly recommend them.

Had to call for service recently when my camera was acting up. The tech -Gordon - was great. He called when to let me know he was on his way, he was on time and most importantly, he identified the problem right away and didn't leave until everything was fixed and he was sure it was working properly. He also gave me some great advice on setting up the rules for the camera online to improve the recording we were getting. If you're looking for an alarm company, look no further than Telsco.

We have had a very good experience with Telsco security systems. We checked out many other security companies before going with Telesco. Our salesman, Stephen Nette, was extremely helpful and has continued to help us with any questions. The installation was done very professionally and thorough instructions were provided. We are still new to the system but are enjoying it very much. It is easy to use, very effective, and provides real peace of mind. We also really liked the fact that we could get a one year contract rather than the multi year contract that other companies required.

When we bought this house 3 years ago, the previous owner was a Telsco customer. We decided to keep the alarm system because my husband works out of town a lot and I felt safer having it. I can't even burn the popcorn and they are calling to see if everything is OK. I truly feel safer! Recently one of the sensors came loose and the alarm went off in the middle of the night. Telsco called within a few seconds to see if I was OK. Then they sent out a service tech to fix the sensor. I am VERY happy with their service and highly recommend them.

About a year ago, I contacted Mike Gagne from Telsco security to quote us on a system for our new office. We had received multiple quotes from different companies. What struck me about Mike was his knowledge of the security field, the fact that he had been a part of every level of their business and chose to stick with Telsco for over 20 years.
