The hotel is the very charming place and truly luxury resort. There are lot of westerner guests and less local or asian guest in the hotel. However with accor platinum member, we are ok, not to get room upgraded as member previlage, but room with car parking view is given which is very disapponting even we already mentioned.

As always a delight. I moved from a 5 star city hotel close to my business meetings to spend three relaxing nights over a weekend at the resort. You can feel the stress drain away as you walk through the lobby to the pool area. I swam, worked out, read, and sipped good wine for three days as well as enjoying the excellent cuisine at three of the restaurants. I have been enjoying this location for more than twenty years. Since its major refit, Sofitel has enhanced its appearance, improved its service and brought its food and beverage service it to an even higher level. It is reasonably priced, efficiently run, beautiful to look at, and I always regret leaving. That is the measure of a successful resort hotel.
Room are fantastic. Restaurants are posh. There is a free fish spa. Hi-Tea session is a little pricey.
Only downside is the shuttle service from RWS Resorts back to the hotel is not supported and we have to rely on the public bus service. Else I would have rate 5 stars.
My recent stay at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa on 2017-05-27 has been another wonderful stay. I have stayed at this resort for more than 10 times and still love this hotel. This resort hotel sits on lush greenery ground, give the sense of serenity, simply relaxing for a weekend getaway. Hotel staff are very professional and well trained. Enjoy the complimentary fish spa. Its also a short walk to the beach in Sentosa island. Will be back to stay again.
Impeccable service as expected, villa was beautiful and even better than the pictures. Very comfortable rooms and amenities provided with luxurious bathrooms.
Service was unremarkable, communication about closed facilities was poor, and there was mould growing in a picture in the room. It looked like part of the art but 3D. When we removed the painting, the wall behind hadn t been painted.
The rooms and facilities are exceptional. The whole place is like walking through a garden. We did have some complaints with the service while we were there but when we addressed them they were very accommodating; seeking to rectify their mistakes immediately. Highly recommend this escape destination.
According to google 3 stars is good. I consider 3 stars just ok. I don t know how this hotel received such high marks. The room was clean, food was decent however it s no resort. There are rooms and a pool. Nothing else. Food service was mediocre. Only ONE service person asked if we would like a second drink (and YES we do want a second drink, we are on vacation)...Thank you Jason Ye. You were a great waiter. Furthermore When I informed the staff of 2 birthdays in our household (long in advance; 2 different ways- 1) by email and never got a response, 2) over the phone), I was assured it was noted and would be taken care of. My big birthday surprise was 2 small pieces of cake and 4 plates on our way to the pool. I just thought for a 5 star resort, the details would matter. Paid too much for this staycation. Would not do it again.
The site is luxurious - 4 wings spread over a large area surrounding a quadrangle with a water fountain, roaming peacocks, pool and sunning decks. Breakfast area overlook the pool or look out into the south china sea so sit outside if you can. Service wise is slightly lacking. There seems to be a lack of willingness to commit as if the staff are not well empowered. Room is great but frayed around the edges - dusty aircon vents, dirty carpets, etc. Not a huge disappointment but not quite expected for a luxury hotel. The brunch and tea are apparently quite well reviewed although I didn't get a chance to taste them. Breakfast had lots of options including fares from Mediterranean, Asian, Indian and continental. Live stations for eggs and noodles.
It was such an amazing experience. The fish spa was amazing. The pool was great and I always feel welcomed in here. Amazing place for parties and staycation. Great company from the peacocks too .
We had a very nice stay. The room was very nice and clean. We had booked half board and could have dinner in all three restaurants. Unfortunately, the hotel was not half board, so we had the same choice of two main courses every day. At three restaurants, however, we could theoretically order a different meal every day, so it was not really a problem. Even at 9 pm we were able to get another table at Il Lido. An excellent service. The staff are very courteous and nice in all restaurants. Outstanding was the front desk Mr. Pop, thanks again! Also on the Saturday Champagne buffet we have participated, which we can recommend. The food and drinks are a 5 star hotel adequate and delicious. The shuttle service was always punctual and comfortable. We used it many times and then took the subway in Vivocity. For breakfast at the KweeZeen we always got a table outside. In the evening we were able to take very delicious drinks at LeBar. We can definitely recommend the hotel. By taxi it is very cheap and easy to reach from the airport. Finally we got as Accor LeClub-Gold member a late check-out to 18 o'clock (!!) and could finish our holiday very relaxed. Many thanks to all the staff in the hotel. We were very satisfied and hope to be back soon.
We made a last minute booking via an online website for a staycation at Sofitel Sentosa Resort. Given the last minute arrangement, we didnt check the reviews of the resort. We arrived at the hotel 15mins past the scheduled check-in time and there was a line at the check-in. When it is our turn to check-in, we were told our family executive suite is not ready for us. The hotel staff then tried to send us to the lounge for some drinks without giving us any indication of when we can expect our room to be ready. The only explanation given was the hotel was under full capacity earlier and the house keeping staff could not keep up and hence we will have to wait. An hour later, we were not given any updates when we can get our room, so we checked with the hotel staff. Again, same excuse that house keeping staff still cannot get our room ready and still no estimated time of when the room will be ready. This time, we insisted to have the estimated time given to us, and was told room will be ready in another 1.5hours. For a 5star resort, we were appalled by the service level. Front desk staff were incapable of handling queries and no alternative arrangements were made to try and salvage the situation. The only thing we kept hearing was the house keeping crew were incapable of doing their jobs on time. Our kids were getting restless at the constant waiting hence we requested for a temporary room to allow them to freshen up and for us to leave our bags so we can get on with our planned activities. Only then did the front desk staff arrange for a temporary room for us. By the time we checked in, it was 2.5hours past the scheduled check in time. Yes, we were given a temporary room only upon request and our check out time was extended to make up for the initial hiccup. We are avid travellers and this is the first time we had encountered such poor service at a hotel/resort. This is also the first time we opted to stay at Sofitel Sentosa Resort and the experience made us wonder if we will ever return or recommend the resort to anyone. Facilities were not superb given the price paid, and there were several things not working in the executive family room we stayed at. The only saving grace was the magnificant peacocks we spotted at the hotel compound.
Stumbled upon it while wondering about Sentosa one night. There is a restaurant called ilLido at the Cliff in there. Very romantic and very good quality food.. comes with a price tag of course.. this single-person meal plus dessert was about SGD$75 if I remembered correctly.
No reply to email, have to constantly call to check and most of all, useless complimentary voucher from my wedding. They don't even allow us to book a room on a weekday (Tuesday).
What's the point of giving out a complementary voucher. Garbage. Take your money else where.
We had a few days chilling on Sentosa after staying in the centre of Singapore. This hotel was just at the end of it's renovation back in 2015 but it didn't imped our stay at all. The rooms were beautiful, the pool area was exquisite. The peacocks are amusing - just don't feed them! Short walk away from beach and other attractions on sentosa. Really enjoyed our stay and if we ever go back to Singapore will stay here again!
Excellent pool area and breakfast buffet. Raj and his team provided good service and a good lunchmenu. El lido restaurant was great! Only one problem (kinda big one): our room had major moisture/humidity problems and as the hotel was full we could not try another room. The follow-up on our problems was not very good and after talking to the manager upon checkout we received a modest compensation.
I absolutely love it, so much better like on the pictures. The pool with big bets, the gardens with peackoks...wow. And off course absolutely amazing staff, nothing was issue for them. Breakfast was also perfect, all food you can imagen and seating on lovely terase. Perfect location closed to everything, but feel very calm and relaxed. They have stairs straight from the pool area to go down on the beach where is the best beach bar from sentosa.
Comfortable room, always impressed with Sofitel's beds. Nice touch of service in adding more bottles of water, and drawing of curtains while we were out for dinner (pleasantly surprised by the mid-day touch up of the room).
Peaceful property with lots of greenery which provide you with a relaxing and comfortable feeling. The outdoor spa facilities was a slight let down as I have expected the facilities to be bigger and more well maintained. Overall experience is still good.
We have gone there for staycation, but apparently the room take up rate is not full but hotel hasn't tried to practice social distancing. We were staying in the room and the very next room were filled with more than 10 people and we couldn't sleep the whole night due to the din that the next room was creating.
Then came the room check in, it was not up to the 5* standard mark. We had waited more than an hour before securing a room. The luggage came only in the late afternoon when we came back after a trip out for fun and food.
The breakfast is also bad. There were no chef at the food station. Hence, only ala carte items that require no food preparation is available.
The swimming pool water was also milky and not clear.
Hence, it is rather disappointing especially when the hitel rstings does not justify with the hotel room pricing.
Well, i had stay in your resort previously and my family love it very much! My son love the surrounding environment, the fish spa best of all, and my my wife love the massage. i would rate the hotel 10 if not of one of our room the Junior suite aircon is faulty in one side (your technician may have closed the damper resulting no airflow in one louver). It will be good that if there is a access door between the living/bedroom, just my proposal.
We held our wedding dinner at this hotel and we couldn't have chosen a better place to host our wedding dinner!
They were very willing to accommodate our last minute changes and they even gave us some wonderful surprises!
The events team and especially our wedding coordinator, Veronica, ensured that everything went on very smoothly and met our requirement to finish the whole event by 10pm. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food and had nothing but praise for the taste and also the decoration of the entire place.
Highly recommended for their service and attention to details.
The place was beautiful and we had a really pleasant one night stay. The service was, however, rather lacking. We had arrived a little earlier and were told that our room required a final inspection. The lady at the counter informed us that she will come get us at Le Bar when our room is ready but that didn't happen. I went to her. She also failed to inform us that we had received a complimentary upgrade and didn't give us as much as a rundown on the facilities available unless we asked.
This property is a 2-minute walk from the beach. Located in a verdant green area, Sofitel Singapore Resort & Spa offers luxurious resort-style accommodation with sweeping views of the sunset at Sentosa Island's iconic Tanjong Beach. Each elegantly designed property is inspired by Paris s Jardin du Luxembourg and features parquet floors with blue carpets and purple orchids. With 4 on-site restaurants, Kwee Zen, LeBar, The Garden and ilLido at The Cliff, Sofitel Singapore Resort & Spa serves delicious Asian-European cuisine, Magnifique pastries and a fine wine list.
Relaxing & friendly. First visit May 2019. Family suite that was actually 2 interconnecting rooms so our adult daughter got her own suite. Shuttle bus to Vivo City & beach & Golf course close by (walk) or just chill by the pool. We use this property as our relax stopover in Singapore on way home to Australia from holidays.
Great breakfast spread, spa facilities and amenities within the hotel room. Everything a 5 star hotel should have. A great getaway from the city life for the weekend.
We booked the hotel and Spa online and somehow we secured the hotel bookings but not the spa. We did not recieve any confirm email etc from the spa thus went ahead tp call. We called in 10 to 15 times but no one attended the calls. The one who attended 4 of our calls are from the hotel instead(diverted to sofital hotel) and the hotel personnel are not able to help much as they are not linked to the spa services. Initially we are heading to sofital hotel right after our ROM and wanted to have a spa the next day however, with this horrible experiance, we might cancel everything. I am superb superised that Sofital have such poor after service. Am superb dissapointed!
My family ( wife, 38months baby and myself ) were attacked by mosquitoes at pool bed nearby the steps to beach. We were also attacked by mosquitoes when we walked down to beach. Singapore is not safe area with dengue or Zika. Hotel should install tool remove mosquitoes.
Untidy old chairs at kwee zeen restaurant's outdoor seats didn't match with 5 star hotels image. I had experience in this hotel location in 2004 before hotel name was changed to Sofitel. 2004 was better than 2017.
We love that it feels like we are not in Singapore, just feels peaceful and serene. Rooms were comfortable, excellent facilities and dining within the resort and service has been impeccable. Only minor comment was that room service could be a bit more timely and someone should look into clearing out the ashtrays more regularly at the designated smoking spot at the Peace Wing. Regardless, it has been an amazing staycation for my husband and I, and we'll definitely be back.
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in And I was in almost 30 countries. This is by far the worst, the most horrible hotel ever. First, they say it is spa hotel, the spa was fully book, extremely rude lady on the phone was almost yelling at me saying it is fully book. They should at least say that the spa should be booked separately when you make a reservation. Second, no one offered to take our luggage. We waited 45 minutes in line for check in. They are just incapable people, they cannot handle a hotel period. We waited 1 hour more for the room to be ready, we went for launch in the restaurant, they asked us for reservation, reservation in a hotel restaurant and you are a guest in the hotel, have you ever heard about this? I have never NEVER faced this kind of situation. They finally gave us a table, waiters have absolutely no sense of client service relationship, incompetent, I needed to stand up and go fetch one of them at least 3 times, they don t even look at the tables. Food was okey, the service and the behavior of the people ruined it. We finally went to the room, these low life thieves gave us a room with a view on the parking lot, I have paid for a luxery room with garden views, but these scammers do not care I guess. The room smells humidity, it is horrible. I asked them to change, on the phone you cannot even reach the reception, have you ever seen that? The hotel phone can t call the hotel reception, how about that? Instead you call a person who can reach out to the reception if they dare answer her. It is nice right? Now they say they are going to change the room, we are still waiting. This is a horrible experience, some people are not made for client facing jobs, why are they doing it? Why do you manage a hotel if you just incompetent and if you don t know how to provide decent services?
I pretty sure most of the positive reviews are made up by the hotel stuff, Pretty sure no normal human being could find this hotel satisfying. We paid 500 sgd per night for this. This is a disgrace. You people should be ashamed.
After months, this was our first night out staycation and it was disappointing. Very average stay. Upkeep of resort is poor , staff is overwhelmed and management is still figuring out how to do things in this new situation. Overall it isn't the luxury and pampering that you would expect. Detailed review was sent to the hotel staff after our stay. There's been no response so I wonder if there was any value for me to take out time to give a feedback. Just adds up further to our negative experience above.
Great spa for a treatment or massage. Very nice facilities including a pool and tubs for post treatment relaxation. The rooms are quiet and private and very comfortable. This was a bit of upsell pressure on a longer massage but the service overall from check in to the massage was phenominal. Very relaxing bit went too fast!
This hotel offers friendly guest service and amazing food. The whole hotel look like a resort with tranquil surroundings and added with a outdoor pool. Some peacocks may also walk around the hotel too (outdoor part) 10/10 for this hotel :)
Prestige suite: Perfect bedroom and living room. Very sophisticated and relaxing decoration. Spacious bathroom with all the comforts (bathtub plus separate shower). Warm tones. Very quiet, view of the garden and little extras: a few sweets brought by the staff.
A dinner offered at ilLido at the Cliff with food and wine pairing on a theme of Franco-Italian gastronomy that we really appreciated. In addition the staff were competent and attentive.
We also took advantage of the pleasant swimming pool.
Summary: horrendous experience, avoid if possible.
My partner and I checked into our first room. These were the issues we faced:
1) toilet bowl had stains from previous guest (see picture)
2) switch in the bathroom was also stained (see picture)
3) safe wasn t working - no response despite pressing the reset button (see picture)
4) sanitizer spray bottle provided was unable to spray, despite us turning the nozzle in all four directions (see picture)
5) TV was unable to connect to our laptop via HDMI cable - the hotel staff sent a technician to help, who also failed to connect the device. The technician actually suggested moving another TV to our room, which we felt was cumbersome and didn t make any sense
6) we called the hotel front desk three times from 4pm to 5pm to request for a room change. It took them one hour to change the room. When we switched to the second room, we were led to another room with food trash outside the room door (see picture).
Finally, we paid SGD500+ per night.
This was not an isolated experience - I recommend filtering for the latest reviews and counting the number of 1-star and 2-star ratings in the last six months (Mar 2020 to Aug 2020). It was our mistake that we didn t spot these poor reviews prior to booking our stay.
Location- Good Staff- Excellent Services- Good Room Size- Excellent Facilities in rooms- Excellent Access to public transport- Good During my recent stay, I enjoyed the most and the moment you walk down toward the beach by using stairs, you feel that you are in midst of a jungle.... so calm and peaceful. But beach was bit appointing as you feel people are peeking at you from the commercial ships. Overall experience was good. Hotel provides pick and drop off to public transport....
Attended a wedding luncheon. A little out of the way for social events, although the accompanying privacy is great. Facilities and service are good. The amenities are well maintained and the help are conscientious and friendly.
The room has very strange configuration. I got a family suite, howerver the only bathroom is in the living room where my baby stays with the maid and therefore making it impossible to even use tge toilet and wash after we return from dinner every night. Further the baby cot is rather small, making it very difficult for my baby to sleep, him being a restless sleeper and tends to move a lot during the night and get stuck in awkward positions and got woken up angry / crying.
The pool was nice but service was shockingly lacking with no ice water and serving of fruits, being a a star resort. There is no one to attend the towels for the longest time and everything was pretty much self serviced.
Finally we booked illido for dinner on our last night and despite the initial confirmation, someone later called to say outside table was fully taken. We later arrived and was eventually placed outside with only a handul of tables taken. Very surprised by theis encounter.
1. No small gift or bath kit for my daughter same as typical Accor hotel 2. UHT Milo in fridge is expired or almost expired as it indicates 05/06/17. 3. Long time waiting for bell man. So, I need to carry two big luggages to check out myself. 4. None of bell man helps me put luggages in my taxi. They were talking tight when I passes them.
Currently staying here . 5/11/2020 to 7/11/2020. 2 rooms/2night kids birthday for $1299 . Step by step Encounter with the hotel 1. Before arrival , I met with a few Obstacle, first , couldn t check in online even after receiving email from hotel . Called to check , was told online check In system not working for now ( then why send email? ) 2 .Upon arrival , Concierge was Quick to unload luggage is from the car, Proceed to check in . Long Q , but took only 15mins to get key to the room. 3. Room is old with Amenities in plastic bags ( as less Budget hotel display nicely) see picture . Toiletries were also packed in plastic bags. ( first time Experience in a 5 star hotel) 4. Bathroom condition was rundown . Bathtub had Lose nobs , Stain on glass door, missing hanger in Shower room. So I call Front office to inform them. When I picked up the phone , there was a Foul smell like some office phone that wasn t Sanitise or cleanup for months .
A bit disappointed that room wasn't ready at 1.30pm on check-in but other than that , everything else was superb just like all my previous years in this hotel
An island resort hotel. Staff welcoming and they pay special attention to the children which is really nice. Hotel looks tired and in need of refurbishment in many places such as rooms and the restaurant. The Sunday lunch is very nice, but feels limited in relation to other hotels offering especially in relation to the price.
This is the first time I book a hotel in Sentosa. I wanted to experience first hand the beauty of the island. I elected to book 2 rooms in Sofitel. The hotel itself sits on a beautifully landscaped setting walking distance to the beach. The signs of maintenance fatigue are evident. The rooms are a comfortable size. Service is good. My favorite hangout is the Le bar where I enjoyed watching the soccer games. I find that the hotel being spread out versus high rise makes it difficult for service and maintenance. I would recommend it for rest and relaxation or for quality family time. It is quiet and relaxing. Very nice pool.
