The room was fabulous and the staff are friendly. Overall I'm very pleased with my visit there
Wonderful location, well-appointed large rooms with good blinds and large bathrooms. Beds are good - though clearly not usual Sofitel super-comfy beds.
Problem with this Hotel is service quality - is nowhere near the top 5* resorts or hotels, just at best at package tourists expectations level. Breakfast is absolutely disappointing. The Cliff restaurant offers beautiful seating, and reasonable food quality.
Would come back for quiet and peaceful location only
An underwhelming experience. I liked the "period" look but I expected a retro kind of modernisation
I like Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa, it's a beautiful and wonderful resort also very convenient.I like the silence ambiance there.
The staffs so friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast, good cleanliness, etc. I like to see the fish therapy. I like the lounge, it so cozy with friendly staffs. They are very good when they greeted guest and entertained me and my friend.
I will come back again to this hotel resort.
Cheers
Imelda
Best beach hotel in Singapore...... i Feel like be in Bali rather than singapore here....
Good ambience but the service of Cliff can be improved - they forgot my order n when the main dish was served, it was not exactly what I orderrd
The facilities were great, but parts of the hotel seemed quite poorly maintained. I reported a leaking basin in the ladies room at the pool area. Decorative knobs in the room were loose or missing. The light in the make-up mirror in the bathroom was not working.
The staff were very friendly and eager to please. However, we feel that the hotel is under-staffed as we saw very few staff in the restaurants and at the pool. Despite being overworked, they were cheerful and very attentive, especially the pool staff, who seemed to be multi-tasking all day long. I was particularly impressed with the professionalism of the pool manager Mr Siva.
As for the housekeeping staff, they were great on the first and second day, but on the third day they did not make up the room, and did not turn down the bed in the evening!
Stayed for 3 nights during the recent bank holiday with my family. We enjoyed it but we didn't feel like we are staying in Sofitel, a luxurious resort (or so as the brand represents)
The good part:
- as accor platinum member, they gave me a bottle of wine, a plate of fruit and a box chocolate as part of the welcome gift. All very nice. Thank you
- they also offered me a welcome drink (voucher).
- the shuttle service to vivo city and rws
Now, the not so good experience:
- room service was really slow. It took an hour (or more) to get a bucket of ice. Shorter waiting time when we asked for additional shower gel and shampoo and bottled water, but still at least it took 30+ minutes on one of the afternoon. Perhaps you can look to better automate this, or put a self-serve facility?
- during the checked-in process. We arrived between 1-2 pm as we asked for earlier check-in (again as part of platinum). The staff made us felt unwelcome, as he/she appeared uninterested, cold and tired. Having done an online check-in the day before, they still took a good 15-20 minutes to process my check-in. Can't collect my room key yet as the staff claimed hotel was really full. Also can't get an upgrade for the same reason. No welcome drink, no cold towel offered too. Perhaps not in this sofitel. The staff told me that they will call me once room is ready.
- the room (standard luxury) was nice with a good space and also a bath tub; the tv remote however was not easy to use.
- the internet speed was good, but seems a little outdated as need to login on daily basis (seems some other accor hotels already fixed this).
- the swimming pool was nice and my family really enjoyed it. However there're many sharp edges in the pool stairs (and can be quite painful if you accidentally knock/scratch your feet).the pool floor on the deep side was also not so well maintained.
Booked this hotel for a staycation over the weekend to celebrate my wedding anniversary but was greeted with disappointment upon disappointment. When we got our room, we found an additional roll-away bed, which we did not request for. We made several requests to have the bed removed but no one from house keeping came. Eventually we got tired of waiting and made a final call to the front desk to remind them before heading out for dinner. It was only after dinner that the roll-away bed was eventually cleared. What a waste of precious time!
Although the condition was decent, we saw some flies in the room. Once again, the hotel did little to resolve the issue. We spent the night swatting flies and I actually managed to kill one! Again, another disappointment.
When we made the booking, we were promised a cake to celebrate our anniversary. The cake was supposed to be in the room prior to our arrival, but that did not happen. It was only delivered to our room later. This is a minor issue but shows lack of attention to detail.
As we were given the lowest level, there wasn't much of a view and the bathroom is rather small, unlike what we saw in the pictures. Generally the room setup was cramped and made us feel claustrophobic at times.
Overall we felt that the level of service at this hotel was severely lacking. Little to no effort was put in to make the guest feel welcome or special. So, I would not recommend celebrating special occasions here. With such a price premium, I would have expected much more compared to what we got.
Overall very pleasant stay. We stayed at the prestige suite and the room is very well furnish and deco. Although we couldnt check in until 430pm as there are delay in the cleaning, the staff make up by extending our check out til 2pm. Too bad it was raining on our last day so we couldn't use the pool with the extended check out time. At the kwee zeen resturant for buffet we had a very nice experience with your staff Joe, he is very helpful and provide excellent service. He made our dinner at the place memorable. Overall very beautiful resort and very pleasant stay and will look forward to come back in the future.
worst hotel in term of customer service in the restaurant.
The hotel complex is located on a hill on Sentosa Island.
The first impression is not wrong.
The entire area is permanently maintained, the staff is very friendly and courteous.
The food buffet leaves nothing to be desired.
The rooms are spacious, luxurious and quiet.
Tanjong Beach is about 10-15 minutes' walk from the hotel and can be reached via stairs from the hotel.
Free shuttle buses to Singapore Vivo-City and back run every half hour from the facility.
It is also possible to go there via the boardwalk, but you should take a good half an hour for it.
The public transport network is very well developed.
I use to come here regularly for holidays as a kid but hadn't been back since 2009, it's been wonderfully renovated since then. It's a beautiful peaceful place to come and would highly recommend it rooms are great as is the food.
We have a good, superb moments of staying there. But two things that I need to feedback. Firstly, as a muslim, I need hands sprayer at toilet bowl for clean up & there should have a halal cuisine for us to dine in. I would suggest Sofitel Hotel could gave a rewards or compliment to two of the staffs. First is Lana, the front desk & Uncle Hafidz the porter/bellhop for their good & friendly service! It was awesome & memorable stay for us!
Back at our favourite annual retreat venue. Tranquil and at peace w the surroundings. Set in the midst of lush greenery, its perfect for the soulful connection back to nature. As Accorplus members, we enjoyed welcome drinks at the bar.
Gorgeous hotel, beautiful garden and pool. so relaxing!
This place has a pleasant atmosphere located in sentosa island. It has lodging services with different sized rooms.
Nice resort. Wish the room is a bit bigger. The angus steak is incredible!
Excellent hotel with good service and facilities. High recommended.
If u love the beach don't go there but otherwise good place
Ideally located on the island of Sentosa. Very nice pool. Access to the beach (currently under construction). Very good hotel to rest.
Very nice place to relax especially at night. Very quiet place. Nice environment
A hidden gem away from the bustle of Sentosa. Rooms are clean, resort grounds are splendid and service is great. Only thing is that it is a bit far in so driving would be the best option.
Beautiful hotel, yummy food. In particular, I enjoyed the food at The Garden
A beautiful hotel full of old world charm...loved the fish pond - you can put your fee in it and the fish will nibble your dead skin
It is good to spend leisurely in a large beautiful hotel. The slopes are also properly installed, making it barrier-free.
All restaurants, bars and cafes are beautiful and delicious. I spent the night sleeping by the pool. It was also interesting that Doctor Fish's unlimited number.
The room was small but clean and stylish. I was happy because there was a TWG tea pack. One thing to say is that it is recommended that you get in advance at a convenience store because you can not get sweets etc. easily in the building.
Great hotel with all feature and top luxury very nice staff
The level of service we experience at Sofitel Sentosa is excellent. Staff are friendly and make you feel as if you are a special guest. Rooms are brilliant, clean and inviting. There is not one thing i can comment on badly, except that sooner or later you have to leave.
Children love it.. fish spa for free. Far from crowded singapore city.. Good for relaxation..
Confusion over bedding was disappointed on arrival as they knew we had 2 adults and 12yo and we arrived to 2 single beds I would have thought if u appoint an agent you would view the booking and email concerns rather than try and charge a 20 year Accor member a premium fee for rollaway after I voiced my disapproval it was given complimentary everything else was excellent
Poor services rendered for the banquet service. Rooms were alright for the price paid.
We came for a staycation retreat package and it was excellent from beginning to the end. The reservation staff was excellent and proactive to help me book every step of our stay. Noorul was of great help and very accommodating to book for the brunch, diner, pool times and for the SoSpa treatments. Every requests I formulated were taken in consideration when we arrived. once onsite: the checking went smoothly even with the current exceptional setup due to COVID19; the room was great; at the restaurent the food was very tasty and well presented and Mildra provided a professional and attentive service. The pool was busy but not overcrowded and finally the Spa treatment was very good and after one hour and half with the therapist (Danielle) I was totally relieved from stress! ( I'm so happy i extended the massage)
Overall and amazing experience, me and my wife completely unplug and felt in a trip far from Singapore! A deep heartfelt thanks to the staff for their attentions ( particularly to Noorul, Mildra and Danielle as mentioned but extended to all), it couldn't have been a better 1 year wedding anniversary!
Place was amazing, rooms were clean and facilities pleasant to peruse. Staff were helpful and shuttle bus was a bonus. Unfortunately the inaccessibility and lack of affordable food nearby was an inconvenience but if you come prepared or with a car, vivocity nearby will help you have an amazing time.
Attended a wedding here. The service from all the staffs are remarkable!
Very nice atas resort experience. Great choices for meeting rooms.
I didn't immediately cancel the cost of my credit card at the time of check-out when I checked out. I don't know what the result is until now. Ten days have passed, the credit card center still shows that there is no refund of the advance payment.
Good, room great, cleanliness great, food offerings too limited and expensive. Spa prices exorbitant by Australian standards.
Very beautiful, calm and serene place.Good views, excellent food.Beautiful big rooms and neat and clean bathrooms.Good amenities.
Should provide a temp room for guest to rest especially we got small kids and in a hot weather if our requested room is not ready. No kids or baby pool in hotel is not very friendly for guest with family. Food selection in breakfast also too little.
Accommodation was excellent and the staff very efficient.
The staff were smiling and having a good time. Delicious food, open air and nice lounge pool. I was also delighted to respond sincerely without looking down on simple English. Thank you for spending your honeymoon in a nice place. It was a place I thought I wanted to visit again.
However, it was confusing because it was difficult to understand how much the minibar in the room was charged and how much it was free. I want you to make it a little easier to understand.
Satisfying, complete resort for crowded cities such as Singapore
Lovely luxurious resort. Had our wedding anniversary staycation over there. Love the facilities and spacious room. Toilet is well furnish all the toiletries you need. We particularly enjoyed the free feet fish spa near the Swimming pool area!
Awesome property brilliant service n best hospitality then Singapore's hotel loved it
My mother & I travel quite a bit and have found the staff & pool staff here to be incredibly accommodating! Especially Sara with his impeccable level of service & manners that has made our stay at Sofitel Sentosa an amazing experience! I look forward to visiting again next time with my husband! Thank you again!
Very poor service, you will not get your money worth
The room is tastefully decorated. Everything was immaculate. Even though there was no balcony, the room has a wonderful unblocked view.
We enjoyed ourselves during the stay and was impress when we realized that the housekeeping team actually wanted to clean our room on the day we check in. Usually when we check in, room are already clean but this is the first time that we are offered cleaning only after few hours of stay and we are really impressed. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay, food and service. Thanks you!
Just 1 point to note is the pool chair are quite dirty. I can see that many guests will use a towel to lay over the cushion before sitting on the pool chair. Perhaps the hotel can consider changing to a pool chair without cushion since it is outdoor.
Check in process needs some improvement, it seemed that the front desk was slightly short handed.
The resort seemed to be overbooked and the turn over was slightly slow.
Nonetheless, these are minor administrative matters which can be rectified easily.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay; it has the peace and tranquility that the hotel is trying to promote.
Room is comfortable, toilet facilities is top of the line and most importantly very spacious.
Breakfast spread is very generous. Exec. Chef walks around to QC throughout the entire breakfast period.
It was my 10th year wedding anniversary and the hotel decorated the room and prepared a cake and some food for us. The reception was really helpful in trying to arrange our Spa appointments.
When we went for the spa massage the next day, we didn't have time to use the facilities as we needed to check out. They gave us a voucher where we could come back on another day to use the facilities!
I have to say that the location is not that accessible. You'll have to take the shuttle bus if you want to go in and out of the hotel. The hotel room was great, everything was provided and comfortable. I was unable to connect to the WiFi but it wasn't any concern for me since I have mobile data.
I ve stayed at this hotel twice but I believe the services were never on a par with other 5-star hotels.
For the second visit, it was meant to celebrate my birthday, but what I was offered was only poor hosting (e.g. the staff never got back to me for my request after they said they would. Literally it happened every time).
I never appreciated how the staff served us guest. Overpriced yet the quality is far below average.
The positives first - breakfast service was good (we went early); the free Wi-Fi was pretty stable (though sluggish).
Other requests made seemed to be conveniently ignored. There were no follow up despite promises to do so. At least respond even if the hotel is unable to accede.
Wonder if it had anything to do with the promotional rate post-Circuit Breaker. It may not have been, but it certainly made me feel that way. Oh well, enough time spent on a negative experience. Good luck to future guests.
Was at Sofitel for a wedding banquet. Food was delicious but banquet service has room for improvement. Otherwise, beautiful location and I appreciate the convenience of shuttle buses.
Good service, food was great, conference room was well stocked.
The place is cosy and nice ambience. Even though its far, there's shuttle bus at vivocity to pick us to the hotel. Bus is quite on time we normally did not need to wait long.
Back in the room and it was midnight, my girl had tummy upset n vomitted on the bed. Great that i called the main line n someone picked up and send a housekeeper to our room in no time. After he changed out all the bedsheets n comforter, there's a second vomit when housekeeper went to pick up another pillowcase. We are so embarrassed to make the housekeeper do so much work in the midde of the night. After all the hoo haas, third vomit at 4am. But not alot but still dirtied the pillow. Sorry about dirting the room.
When the house keeper was changing the sheets, theres alot of feathers dropped on the floor and i have to pick them up and bin it.
Overall i had a good experience with Sofitel Sentosa. :)
The resort itself is very nice, the spa is very relaxing, swimming pool is big and the room deco is very modern and adequate. However, this hotel doesn't get a 10/10 because the staff doesn't pay attention to details, e.g. the check in staff just gives you a room key and expects you know how to get to your room (I have to ask where is my room, where is the breakfast restaurant, etc). I just feel like a staff of 10/10 would tell the guests proactively where the room and facilities are since the hotel is very big, and it's impossible for 1st time guests to know where the rooms are located at, secondly the room service staff just put the extra towels I ordered on my bed but not in the bathroom, etc). Also, the towels in the bathroom are very old already, and they are so washed out that you can see some tassels coming out from them. Lastly, the buffet breakfast is like a standard buffet breakfast for a 5 star hotel, but not the best of a 5 star hotel type (ie you get sausage and fruits, but they are not the tasty types and the varieties is limited , etc) Overall, the hardware of the hotel is good, the staff needs more training though, and it's a 5 star hotel, but not the best 5 star one.
Brilliant experience! Made a simple remark only for a high floor room request as this staycation was for my boyfriend's birthday, was suprised to see that the bed was decorated with towel-made birthday cake and flower petals too! There was also a complimentary cake sent to our room later in the day. Staff were also all polite and helpful! Best part would be the feel of the hotel - It felt like we were in a modern colonial villa. Also it truely does have a resort feel, being on top of the hill means serenity, and with peacocks roaming around freely it felt like we were in the nature, overall it was super relaxing. Will definitely visit again!
