The staff were all lovely and the hotel foyer was beautiful and smelt amazing! The rooms were nice although a little tired, the TV was blurry and the 'upgrade' we paid for wasn't worth it at all. You couldn't see the view of the Garden Court through the thick sheer curtains. Tej on concierge was a standout!

It is beautiful hotel in the middle of Sydney CBD. 5 mins walk will take u to the circular quay station and Sydney Opera House.
The staff are friendly and caring. The breakfast buffet was wholesome and had a variety to choose from.
We enjoyed our stay for 3 nights.

Gd central lcation with all the care and attention from staff that you would expect from the sofitel. The club lounge provides breakfast, afternoon tea and drinks if you have tue right status. Short walk to circular quay station so its easy to get to and frim the airport via train.

Overpriced for a room that wasn't that much better than a motel room. Delivery fee for room service astounds me as the prices pretty much overinflated so should have covered delivery. Staff were great but overpriced.

Very good. It is not necessarily the most ritzy of Sydney hotels but it always delivers.
This time I had breakfast in the normal area and was impressed by the quality of the food in particular the breads and whilst the selection was not broad the quality was evident

The highlight was the Buffet Breakfast, and the service from the staff in the restaurant & service during check-in.
I have no doubt the higher-end rooms are most likely 5 star, but our "Superior King Room" was average at best. I've stayed in larger, better appointed rooms for a lot less.
The room itself was very small. Room for the bed, TV & table and not much else.
Tiles were chipped in the shower recess entry, the glass shower door itself wouldn't close properly, and there was mould present in the shower. Some of the items in the Mini-bar were passed their expiry date.
Television reception was very ordinary across both free-to-air & Foxtel channels.
I've arrived home, and have since discovered that I've also been charged twice for parking/room service I received during my stay, And also found a $12 charge for Mini bar usage, when I didn't actually use anything!
This has now been reversed, but it's not the point.
I was asked during check-out if I'd used anything from the Mini-bar. I said no, and I've still been charged $12 for something!
Safe to say, I won't be returning.

We had an extremely comfortable stay in the Sofitel Sydney, five minutes walk from our destination, secure parking, large quiet room. Slept soundly and enjoyed the ambiance of the buffet breakfast. The health breakfast options for my vegan child were comprehensive. Thankyou Sofitel for a luxurious and memorable stay. We came to enjoy the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Opera House. A magical trip for my children and their friends, a memory for life.

Everything from check in to check out was attended to with the utmost detail. We had no time to visit the spa but were delighted to receive sparkling wine, strawberries and chocolate for my wife's birthday. Can't wait to visit again!

I'm going to leave this only! Perfect.

Food quality fabulous, great ambiance, efficient and warm personnel and not expensive at all.

On arrival we had high expectations after standing in awe at the reception area but on entering our hotel room we were disappointed in the size and condition of it.
The hotel is starting to show its age, and we did pay good money for our accommodation.
Having said that a visit to reception had us moved to a room that was in keeping with the rate we were paying.
Staff all very friendly and they made you feel very special.
The hotel location is amazing, situated right in the heart of Sydney.

the breakfast there for a conference was absolutely amazing, i'm not sure what bakery they got their croissants from but it is really really, although i would prefer something a bit more. got a free pen which lasted me a year. i really loved the place, they could maybe upgrade the facade a bit more

It is an ok work hotel. But the rooms are old and small. The beds are gross. The changed the matress topper in our room and it went from a stained topper to a different stained topper that also had the corner straps broken.

Lovely atmosphere in what was undoubtedly a luxury hotel, once upon A time. Now in need of an update to keep pace with other top end hotels in Sydney. My Room was definitely looking old and crying out for a face lift. The bathroom door barely closed and the walls dirty. The service was also lacking. Most of the items at breakfast for example had been exhausted and not replenished. Overall it scrapes through with 4 stars. I'd prefer to give it 3.5.

I called ahead to ask if it was possible to get early check in as i had just come off a long haul flight. I was told I could and there were rooms available. I got there and the staff told me there were no rooms available for check in, lying or having made a mistake earlier, and treated me exceptionally poorly. I am an accor member and the treatment was disgusting.
