Absolutely the most rude people I have ever encountered. Your employee told me maybe if you paid on time this wouldn t happen. and that The Manager isn t going to do anything for you either. This concern has nothing to do with paying on time. It s about the changing of an agreement on y all s end! I missed a call, call back literally seconds later and was told yet again, 24hours before someone would reach out to me! This company isn t at all about customer service! The main concern for them is how much can we take from these people? This entire situation is playing out as a ransom! If you truly give a damn about your customers, then reply and reach out to those of us who are unhappy! Granted, there s probably thousands of us due to the OVERALL poor customer service NTTA offers!

After reading all of the negative reviews on the service at NTTA, Plano - I really dreaded going over there this morning to exchange hard plastic toll tags(2) for the new stick on. Going west down Plano Parkway (before the Dallas Toll Road) on the left is a large sign showing where the NTTA office is and I turned into that left turn lane. I walked into the office, there were 8 people in line in front of me and 8 employees in cubicles waiting on people. My turn came up within 5 mins and the young lady waiting on me was very friendly, very professional and very quick. It did not take her over 5 mins to void the old tags and issue the new stickers. I would say, with no hesitation, this transaction was the quickest I have ever had dealing with any company. Thanks NTTA - now go get those violators that don't pay!

LITERALLY, the worst thing about Texas is single handedly the North Texas Tollway Authority. They purposely make their online paying, and call center infuriating to use and try to bully you into signing up for a Toll Tag the ENTIRE TIME. They can send a bill out easy enough, how about they make their website and call center somewhat navigable. If I don't want to sign up for your product that indiscriminately collects money from the public then I am not going to. Send me all the bills in the world, but QUIT trying to force your BS 'product' on me, because it is not a product, it is theft.

Very poor ability to take care of issue. Everyone I spoke to was polite, but it took multiple calls to get the task completed and that was only after a request for a supervisor twice. I was billed for a car I sold to a dealership, and the representatives (3) were kind in trying to help. But each one told me something different, and each time failed leading to the bill going to a late notice. At that point, I requested a supervisor and got one. However, the fax number did not go through for days, and I had been told no email. After days of rejected faxes, another supervisor was finally able to give me an email. It was resolved, but only after weeks of roundabouts.

This organization is outrageous! Is there any accountability on their part? Who governs them? I began a simple call to the 972 Plano office for customer service issue. After going through the Prerecorded solicitation, I pressed top speak with a live person to clear up my Tolltag account. The voice recorder said i would have a10 to15 min wait. I waited for 17 mins and then the call was terminated. I thought.... What? I immediately called back to start the process ALL OVER again.. I waited another 15 mins to get disconnected AGAIN! I'm starting to think people do not want to be a customer rep. This is TERRIBLE customer service. Basically an hour had passed and i have not resolved any issues with this account. You need to hire people who WANT to work. You are almost as worsts the post office.

As with most utility, government and agencies of similar ilk, the NTTA is no different. There is always a line of course, but it moves a bit faster than most. The employees are not terribly friendly, maybe they don't like the job or just like appear they are, I don't know. but in my experience customer service is one big item they offer to the customers.
Please be prepared when you arrive with proper documentation for your car and any records you may need. it will help expedite your visit. There are spanish speaking representatives which is a great thing.

The most unpolite and unprofessional customer service I've ever seen in USA. there are some thieves in their offices steeling people's money through creating accounts online and other people are using same LP of yours and taking every Tool Way they like to and you get charged for.
I would never ever recommend to anyone in the city. or in the state.

Of course the customer service will be nice, they are trained to be professional when sucking our money out of our pockets. Funny thing is they really don't know how much we owe, couldn't match amounts for invoices, and even after paid to a zero balance a mysterious invoice appeared. Too bad they have to work for a scam company.Oh, you have to have at least one star to post.

I had to take the tolls back in 2017 when i was working at a restaurant and they closed down the regular highway (820) to get back home and all you could literally take was the tolls. Here it is 2019 and total cost is 800$ and on top of that I have to pay 371$ court fee even if i do pay it off. Who knows what this is going to do to my driving record!

This company is a disgrace, I called to resolve a situatuon where my toll tag wasnt attached to the proper account , causing me to have to start and entire new account. ai had actually called to fix this months earlier and apparently it wasnt completed properly. They inform me that I had charges that they placed a hold on my vehicle registration which I also I had to renew because it was a week from expiration. I paid nearly $450 to resolve this and was assured that the amount paid in full and even had a represenative send me a document stating it was paid in full. I contact the tax office to renew my registration and am told there is still a hold and the document I was given needed a signature and red stamp on it. I email the rep back at NTTA asking her to send me the document with the stamp and signature and get no response. Then I call them again to be told I owe another $106 to get the signature and red stamp. I told the rep now that I was already sent a letter saying it was paid in full and I barely ever even use the tollway except once every 2 weeks to pick up my daughter or to take my other daughter to her specialist for a tumor in her eye which is only every few weeks as well. I even had this travel verified by the rep I spoke to the day prior. All the time the current rep is basically laughing at me as if she doesnt believe what im saying and ultimately telling me there is nothing she could do to help or reduce the amount . I feel extorted, lied too and mocked and PAID THEM over $550 dollars at this point all for a tolltag that wasnt attached to the correct account and Im making an effort to resolve.

I'm enthusiasticly changing my 1 to a 4. NTTA responded to my compliant sent to their Facebook page within an hour of the message. A supervisor, Lisa, called me and told me they reviewed the call. She seemed genuinely embarrassed for how it went. I was apologized to, my information was reviewed, and a receipt for the cancellation was emailed to me.

Thank you for the quick response Lisa and thank you NTTA for being accessible via social media.

Staying at a 4 instead of a 5 because the several other times I've tried to call in the past, CS was unable to help me access my online account. I have never been able to log in, but after each review of my information, everything seemed correct. I was always shuffled around until I gave up or was assisted with my need via phone.

I was on the phone with your customer service representative this morning, and she was really short with me. I wanted cancel my account. I gave her my driver's license 5 times which was easily found by your automated system but not her. She tried to argue that I didn't have an account. She finally found my account using my address after which she told me my balance, told me I had a card on file, and that my balance would be 5-8 days for refund, and then hung up on me. She wouldn't let me speak, she talked over me, she didn't give me a confirmation number, and didn't say good bye before hanging up very abruptly and rudely.

I initially told her my old car was totaled and she didn't offer to transfer my account to the new car, which I didn't think about until after the 3 minute conversation.

I didn't even get a chance to verify that the last charges made were before March 8th, the day of the wreck.

That was a very poor customer service experience!

SOUNDS LIKE A RIP OFF AND HELPS TROOPERS WRITE MORE TICKETS TO ME. 75 IS AT LEAST 60 AND U WANT TO CHARGE PEOPLE FOR 55MPH ON A TOLL!!!

Horrible Business to deal with!! Customer service # has you on hold FOREVER TIL YOU GET TIRED and hang up!!Fees on top of fees !! Than will turn you over to the court system and have criminal charges put on you!! Now you have to pay the courts too. SAD WAY TO RIP OFF TAX PAYERS !!!

They are good charging credit cards on time , but wait..... they do charges that does not exist aor the customer is not aware of... beware of your bill charges and pay close attention to it. It happened to a couple people i know.

The NTTA is a joke. Pay outrageously high tolls so you can sit in construction traffic for half an hour or more and be late to work. Have a last due account because they stopped charging your debit card? Good luck getting them to waive the late fees. Their phone operators are rude and unprofessional. I might as well speak to an automated voice. The only reason they get a star is because you can't post a review without one.

They don't properly notify people before adding outrageous fees, the customer service is the worst in Texas and they don't waive fees for veterans or even give a discount. All Houston area tolls and all but one toll road in Austin isn't free for veterans. Ntta can do better, right now it's garbage.

I got charged a $17.00 late fee for a $1.58 initial toll. That s a 12,000% interest rate annualized. To say this place is illegal is beyond charitable. This place needs to be investigated. Get involved with your state officials to get these people banned from Texas.

Calling customer service always takes a long time to get ahold of.. which I would be okay with if the reps were friendly and not telling me "you should of had a toll tag" okay... thanks, I'm not obligated to get a tag so I'm not going to do that.
BUT the real reason I HATE ntta is the fact that I had a late bill, my fault, I'll get charged the $10 late fee no biggie. My $93 toll went to $103 for feb-march. I then had a $200 toll for my tolls taken march-april . I paid on the last day so I wouldn't get charged an extra $35 for the original bill and $10 late fee for my second toll bill I'm busy. I work. I am not obligated to pay over the phone or in person. I went online like im sure 85% of people do that night and saw that I had "uninvoiced" tolls. I saw the dates were from April to may. Another 200. Okay those shouldn't be due because it was uninvoiced. I never received a receipt because this billing cycle ends at midnight. So I ended up paying my original two tolls and they charged me for my uninvoiced toll and now since I paid it (unwillingly because the website did it which was $500 all together) they cant send me a paper receipt because there is no way to retrieve that bill since it was already paid while it was "uninvoiced" THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM BECAUSE I WAS FORCED TO PAY IT. Now I'm stuck wondering how I'm going to get this expensed by my company without a receipt. I am however thankful for the gentleman that helped me and was very patient and never once rude. He identified the problem but he would have to go through a tedious process of emailing me each individual toll charge .. i go through at least 75 tolls a month and that is not his responsibility.. this is NTTA in general not a customer service agents fault so I'm not going to let him do that, plus my company won't accept that form of receipt. Let's hope their service location can resolve this tomorrow morning.. and if so maybe I'll give them 3 stars. *Lesson learned*

Gross incompetence and unbelievably rude staff. I've been hung up on multiple times after employees failed to answer my question and then failed to connect me with someone who knew more. Moreover, they've recharged me for tolls that I've already paid and continue to send me bills in the mail for tolls my online account shows have been paid. People famously complain about the customer service they get from telecom companies like TWC. NTTA could give them a run for their money. Seems they're in a race to the bottom. Given the problems in billing stated on other bad reviews it seems a class action civil suit is in order for this group. I'm certain they have harmed a great many Texans either through incompetence or intentionally malicious business practices, so maybe it's time a lawsuit was brought to reform their behavior.

While they are pleasant enough people it is absurd that we as commuters are expected to pay such fees and wait in line for over an hour to do it. I tried online and was told to come to a toll tag store where I waited and waited and waited. What do you use all our fines for? Do you not hire staff? It s the worlds biggest racket

Whatever it is they do here, they don't have enough employees to do it. The lines are long and slow, unfitting for an agency that takes money to build fast roads.

After waiting an hour in line to find out I needed a photo of my license plate to pay for a missed toll when I first moved here and had an out of state plate, I learned the best time to go here is between 8-9 AM. Apparently, there are no lines then.

Why can't this be done online? Going to NTTA is a real PITA!

Biggest scheme known. Right hand doesn't know what left hand is doing. Every year it gets worst and worst. "Administrative" fees are close to $200. If you had $300 bill with them - it turns easy into thousands. Best excuse used: "You don't have to use tollway. Drive on the regular road". Really? I work and pay taxes, that's rare these days. Don't you think? Working people, who are on the road shouldn't pay hundreds of dollars for the road when they already pay local taxes. Rate for residents should be much lower.

I had a TxTag account (the one in Austin) because I didn't know TX had more than one toll company before I moved here; Florida keeps it simple with just the SunPass throughout the entire state.
Anywho, I had an issue where the NTTA sent me a bill for full price tolls (instead of the discounted price), and I thought that I was only supposed to receive a bill from TxTag since TxTag works throughout all of TX. That was not the case.
When I first walked in the customer service center, this rude lady was walking by the line to ask everyone why they were here, and when she got to me, she was pretty much telling me to leave because it wouldn't make sense talking to someone at the counter about my issue. And she argued with me in line.
I'm glad I stayed in line because I went to Becky and she's such a sweet lady. She helped me figure out why I got that bill and I got a discount on the bill since I wasn't supposed to be paying the non-Toll tag price. And she also got me set up with a TollTag so that I could do away with the TxTag. Becky was really professional and I feel she's a great customer service rep at NTTA!

$3.50 toll with a $35 late fee despite having an active TXTAG. I called to pay the $3.50 and they refused to waive late fee. They told me to call TXTAG. TXTAG told me to call NTTA. What other business operates like this and gets away with it?

I have put in over 7 hours on two different evenings going through every payment and transaction since I reopened my toll account in 2016.

I have paid $400 plus ZIP CASH, and $250+ regular tolls since 6/11/2019. I have not one but two pending AUTO CHARGES of $40 as of 8/11/2019. NTTA? How can one be charged when the first hasn't cleared? Why am I still being charged after not being on the toll roads for over a week already, and counting.

Well, the excuse "without" proof that I keep receiving is that the "SYSTEM" is taking tolls out from 2018... March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December of 2018...... BUT IT'S AUGUST 2019 and I've paid collections and ZIP Cash bills back in June 2019. You mean to tell me with $650+ paid, it never included March 2018 - December 2018? Those charges just decided to go into hibernation UNTIL I put more money into my account? I have made so many payments, along with their auto charges til I fear checking my account each day because it's been a new charge every 2 or 3 days since setting up auto pay, and none of it is going to current tolls. The "system" is reaching back to 2018 for charges? How/why?

All I have asked here was to SHOW me where none of my numerous payments went towards these dates/transactions? If you can charge me for it, surely you can take time to explain how this has not already been paid for when I've paid all the invoices you had on file, so why would there still be charges deducted from 8-10 months ago? Let's compare notes. Show me. I'll be waiting in the parking lot for you all to open at 8am. This is wrong on so many levels. (8.12.2019, 6:35am)

Why did our elected officials sign us up for a loan that we are never going to pay off? Is it a tax? Is it a service? What am I paying for? Who is regulating this tax or forced service? The cost goes up every couple of years; I'm not sure about you, but I've never had a loan that did that.

On October 5. 2013 I used TX121 from McKinney to DFW airport. Have not received a notice as yet, and no one responds to my requests(email). Last time this happened my first bill included fines in excess of $75.00. There is something seriously wrong with the tollway system in the billing department. I suspect it revolves around selling the Toll Tag. I live in Alabama.

I avoid the tollways for obvious reasons, but this time we needed to travel expeditiously.

No line wait which is surprising because last time I waited for quite some time and eventually had to leave because of work. I sat down with the representative that helped knock off extra charges on my bill from $500 to $386 but I signed up for a toll tag too. Quick and easy.

Very nice, friendly, efficient staff. I would have given a full five stars, but I deducted a star because they were unwilling to make any feasible payment arrangement or offer any discounts on a very large NTTA debt that was acquired by someone else other than me. But nonetheless, the staff did all they could to help within their limitations. I just wish they had more power to offer better payment options and/or discounts.

If i get a letter and it skips the first notice like i have had done to me two previous times i will have to take serious action.

As a US Army Infantrymen fresh off an Afghanistan deployment i recieve a bill for 50 dollars for driving to see my fiance before the deployment, as i was gone interest accrued from a 15 dollar bill, obviously without service in Afghanistan i was unaware and unable to take care of this bill, no fees we waived i was charged the full 50 dollars for driving on there roads one time, thank you NTTA for being unamerican thieves.

Got a bill today from NTTA that showed $2.66 as unpaid balance and $10 in new fees. We rarely have trucks in Texas, so I was suspicious. There's a very poor quality picture on the bill. When I called in, a very nice lady did some checking and admitted that they had put in the wrong license plate # and they would remove the charges. So, be careful with the bills received. $12.66 is a small amount and some may just pay without checking. Just a heads up to other business to be diligent in researching the validity of bills from NTTA.

I was in the office 2 weeks ago to have my registration block lifted. Johnny Quintero asked me to call him the next day to process the payment to have the block lifted. I have called him 20xs a day since then and left several voice mails and I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PAY THEM TO HAVE THE BLOCK LIFTED. THIS PLACE IS GARBAGE AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST. EVERYONE IS SO LAZY.

NTTA is such a rip off. They need a better system for billing. I've paid $250 in late fees because the bill was not going to my actual local address even when they said it would. I'm a hard working teacher who cant afford other peoples mistakes. The road fees are also way over priced. I shouldn't have to pay .60 to drive 30 seconds.
