The negative reviews here mostly pertain to the NTTA itself, not this particular office. If you think the toll roads are too expensive, don't take them, plain and simple. The tollways are clean, construction is generally quicker than other road work, and abandoned cars aren't scattered along the side.
With that out of the way, this location was a breeze to work with. A line of approximately 30 people moved along in a speedy fashion and my wait time was at most 10 minutes.
When I arrived at my teller, I explained my needs and the representative helped me with everything. She was very kind and understanding but remained professional. I was in and out in 20 minutes (far faster than most doctor's appointments).
I would go back to this location without hesitation.
The administrative fees are absolutely ridiculous! Extreme doesn't even begin to describe them.
Their way of attending and addressing the people to their correspondent tenants is STUPID! THEY MAKE get in line to then send you back to another line to STAND AND WAIT 1 TO 2 Hours while others randomly come after you and are attended immediately.
Worst customer service ever. Called because I received a paper bill where they charge me $1.50 just to send it. Lady basically said I checked the box online which I never saw and they are refusing to refund two months worth of statement fees. Supervisor didn't care either.
I don't usually write reviews but I will this time. I always pay my bill. Now I just got the shock of my life. I got a bill from them in the mail stating that I owe them $ 48.00. I am in shock. I always pay them by way of account that I set up on line. I don't know what this is all about or what to do. When you know you have been paying them all along. This is scary. I am one who does not linger to pay and yet this big bill in the mail after I have paid them. I read the reviews of the many others this happened to. They pay and get billed over and over. I don't want to deal with this. Who would ever think this could happen. People really need to BE AWARE. This is scary how they can bill you when you don't owe them. This has opened my eyes and I don't want to use them again. Will have to STOP USING them and go another way to work. It is already so expensive now this. May God help us what is this place coming to.
Couldn't get anyone on the phone. I had to schedule a time for them to call me, which was a week later. Sent bills from my paper plates to me, but then when I got my "real" plates, bills were sent to an address not belonging to me and I didn't find out for months. (Even though I had later registered my plates/car to a toll tag.) By the time I figured out what was going on, they were totally unable to work with me and I ended up having to pay 4x what the original toll bill was. I canceled my toll tag (Tollway always had horrific traffic, anyway) and I am avoiding them at all costs. Horrible customer service and business practices. Please avoid them if you can.
Resolved my billing issue quickly and professionally.
NTTA stole $50 bucks from me for a $7 toll. I use the tolls a lot and I ve been a member for years now. The tools are my daily route. I never had any problems. I ended up getting a collection bill for a car that was on my account. They said I had to call the payment in. But I always add money to my account enough for 2 weeks at a time. So they made me pay the Bill. Crooks! Just plain taking advantage of people. Even a faithful customer! Just wrong!
I was traveling for work for 2 days and somehow ended up on the tolls although I tried to avoid them. Having traveled quite a bit I figured I could go online and pay for them like other cities. Oh no, I've called every week to see if I could pay before it hit the rental car company and for some reason they just can't seem to manage it. I received a bill today from the rental car company today for $120 for $12 worth of tolls. You desperately need to check into a new system. EZPay is ridiculous - you can only pay if you have an account. What a joke!
Mistakenly sent me an invoice and would not remove the charges. Had to spend over an hour on the phone. Every phone call started with a spiel to sell a toll tag. They finally accepted a digital copy of my vehicle title as proof that ownership had changed and I had not used the toll roads. It all feels like a scam. Time will tell if they actually canceled the bill. They would not send me any form of confirmation.
if it were possible to give them ZERO stars, I would do that. NTTA is the WORST customer service company I have had the displeasure of dealing with. We've been a customer for probably 18 years or so. I have a credit card on the account for that ENTIRE time. I continually get zip cash bills in the mail even though the I have a credit on file. I have charges that have gone to collections. COLLECTIONS... Even though I have had a credit card on file for them to use. I called and asked to speak to a manager and was told I would have to wait 5-7 business days for one to call me back. The customer service rep was rude and I never received a call back. Again ZERO STARS if it were an option.
Went to get transponders ordered for my vehicles. Agent was professional, quick and explained everything to me. One of them was not one of my vehicles and she researched it and found that it was a rental I used and tried to register it so I could use my toll tag with it. It did not register right away. It was registered later after I had returned the rental and had forgotten about it. The incorrect vehicle was removed and the correct vehicle was re-entered into the database. Thanks for the great service.
Excellent customer service. In and out in 5 minutes or less. Go early in the morning and beat the rush!
They are rude. I was trying to add another tag to my account... No manners, these ladies treat people like misbehaving children. Long line , not parking lot. Terrible customer service.
Didn t want to go here, but since I lost the new windshield toll sticker they sent me, I dropped by mid day while in the area.
They are very organized and help you find your way through the process. I was in and out in 10 minutes.
Since I had lost a new sticker, I expected there would be some extra steps in getting a new one, but not the case. Just my ID and I was done.
On the day I went, every employee I encountered was welcoming.
From the parking lot, It was a little bewildering at first, but there were directional signs and I just followed the other people going in.
Easy.
Their system is setup to take advantage of drivers, incredibly immoral and ought to be illegal. I ve been a customer for 10 years but after dealing with the most recent mess, I d rather increase my commute tenfold than waste another dollar with these greed mongers.
I wish they would have a place closer to where i live.

Can't stand them. Vultures with political sources to take up all new highway projects instead using tax dollars to build new roads. They keep taking up more HOV lanes that were part of highways already paid for by taxpayers.

Service is good in store, but wish they didn't charge the people so much to use the roads. LBJ express lanes from 75 to 35E are a rip off any time of day.

My husband's truck was stolen and recovered a week later. I sent over the copy of the police report and a copy of the Dallas Pound Release Form, but because the report stated "offense" instead of "police" report they will not remove the charges. The representative lacked intelligence, she stated that I should go to a different city and ask they to create a police report for the incident, say what? If the truck was stolen in the City of Carrollton, why should I go to the city of Dallas or the city of Plano and ask them for a police report. This is not in their jurisdiction. NTTA has the worst customer service. I'm very upset! HORRIBLE!!!

I concur, and add laziness, carelessness, lack of proper cross referencing software and dare say FRAUD, which is "the wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain."
This is the second time my Florida 12 year-old black Ford is confused with a Texas Hyundai of recent vintage. Apparently the Texas Licence plate has a "W" and my Florida license has an "M".
How many tolls have been improperly assessed to out of state drivers when the NTTA has a phone line exclusively dedicated to the wrong "billing to out of state"?
And Customer Service Susan, you deserve a better job. Having your ear full from unhappy customers must be tiresome, trying to deflect the criticism your company deserves. At least you are well trained. Thanks for your help.
This is the most dishonest frustrating company I have ever been forced to deal with. They send out bills that say Zipcash which looks like junk mail from some payday loan company instead of a toll fee. Then all of a sudden you find out they are charging you outrageous late fees and threatening you. If I thought I could take these jerks to court I would. It should be required that they identify who they are on the envelope. My advice is NEVER use a toll road, especially in Dallas.

Received bills for tolls that I did not know I had. When I got the bill they had added a first notice fee of 10.00. This toll tag is a bunch of bull to take people money who are not from TX. I have tried to call and go online to pay the original balance and website is down A TOTAL JOKE
Spoke with Carol and she was quite incompetent. I am very displeased and disatisfied with the services rendered. She sent over privy and personal info to the wrong address and now I'm concerned about personal info being broadcasted to crazies and nut-cases. She needs to be F.I.R.E.D. How would she feel if a careless mistake was made like this. I know she'd be upset. This is beyond a write up or coaching. Terminate her employment for lacking the wherewithal to listen and comprehend what was properly stated to her. I'm so darn livid at this lady I could cry!
They are terrible. Its always about money. I have had a toll tag for years now and I still receive "PAST DUE" bills. The response is ]"we have sent these to you numerous times", its weird how I never receive them until they are WAY past due. On top of that, they charge my CC several times a week and I had to shut my cc off. THEY SUCK !!!!!!

(by mistake) go immediatley online or to toll office and check it out.

My sick friend recently tested positive for COVID-19 as have so many others before her. There's various others waiting on their test results.
Yet, they refuse to close their doors. They would rather put all their employees and their families at risk then risk losing "some" money by momentarily closing down. Employee well being and safety is not their concern whatsoever. They're just focused on money, money, money.
Possibly the best experience I've ever had walking into a government building. Friendly, competent staff. Consolidated 5 cars from different accounts into a master account for easy online management. In and out in 15 minutes.

They continually send us bills for another license plate. Four times they have corrected this. I have tried to contact supervisors, but they never return my phone calls. If I don't continue to call to have these bills 'corrected', they send it to a collections agency. How do I get hold of someone in charge????
5 stars for having to pay to drive on a highway? It s laughable, I know. I received excellent customer service here and it made paying this bill, that makes me cringe, so much easier. The five stars is definitely for the customer service they provided me there, in the Plano office. Thanks for making it a good environment and keep up the good work.
Absolute scam. I have gotten several fake bills from them and they were very reluctant to dismiss them even though they knew they were fake. After not hearing from them for a year I got another one of their scam bills saying I owe for a toll a couple months ago in Texas. Which is impossible because I haven't even been to Texas in a year or so, much less driven on a tollway. What's even worse is that they sent a real picture of my car, but it isn't on a tollway, it's looks like it's in a parking lot. I don't know how or when they got that picture. This company needs to be investigated.

It is best to just stay off of their roads. To get to your account you have to "hack" how to get in to see your bill. Everytime time you have a new car there is new zipcash account , you cannot even remove old tags online its big mess and the fees are ridiculous. Funny they owe me money from old tag maybe I have to put up with the fees.
I can not explain the poor customer service!!! It will take all day! They never call you back when they are suppose to. When speaking to the customer service rep you hear noises in the background and then you are instructed to raise your voice. Huh? Just stupid!!!

A very negative presence that can really stress you out, especially if you're from out of state and didn't know better. They like to charge $35 a month for bills they never send out, even if your toll was less than a dollar. The notice I finally got had address errors, amazed it even got to me. Website is bad. Customer service is rude and inconsistent. This will likely be the worst thing I remember about Texas.
Nothing like being made to pay to tow your car. I already paid for my car I was using to tow the vehicle, it was clear the vehicle was on a tow dolly, but they have you by the balls. I don't appreciate all of the toll roads being laid in Texas.

Just got off the phone with Darlene. After replacing a couple of my family's cars, I had gotten my TollTag account completely messed up and had several outstanding bills. Darlene was so patient and kind. She helped me sort things out and where possible, she gave me a TollTag discount. Thanks so much, Darlene!
Ya know all this pointless construction, scraping up perfectly good pavement, so they can keep charging us tolls? Well, they left behind loose rocks, which are sent flying from both sides of the road, and today was my lucky day. Just the cherry on top of all the racketeering.

These people are criminals who enforce private enterprise through admin fees and debtors jail because they hire law enforcement to arrest you if you dont pay them for driving through the city. They say its a crime to not pay them. This is what "highway robbery" truly is.
So crowded. But the line moved fast. I was there for a new tolltag. Many were there to pay. Most staff were nice. But the guy who helped me should NOT be in customer service. Do what you love, man, or don't do it at all.
I made my payment. A month later they write me a check for the amount I sent them saying they couldn t find an account with that balance. The letter with the check they sent me said for me to call within 30 days otherwise late fees would be applied. Okay. They can t find the account but yet they are going to apply late fees? I called within 30 days. They said they couldn t honor that, the only way to get the fees waived was to open a toll tag account. Freaking ridiculous scammers! Now I m paying for 2nd notice of non payment fees when I sent them the money on time! I opted to pay the entire thing because I will never use a toll road. I will not be forced to open an account and continue business with a fraudulent company.
Horrible experience! I literally just moved across the country and NTTA charged me $35 in late fees, even though the mail was forwarded from the old address. This is absolutely unacceptable and so glad I don t live in Texas for this reason.
I was pleasantly surprised by the short wait when I stopped in to pick up a toll tag for my wife's new lease car. The clerk was very friendly and helpful. I was able get the toll tag in as matter of minutes, and I got some good directions on how to create an online account.

Right now, I feel that it is poor, I have work reports I have to process and turn in my tolls for expenses, I have not been able to access the website for the past 2-3 hours now...not good. I do not see why it is down, they just made more $ off all of us as of yesterday.

They do NOT stay open until 6pm. I walked up at 5:58 to pay my bill and doors were locked. The "security" wouldn't let me in. You would think they would want their money??!! Annoyed!

Ntta will never extort another dime from me. They keep poor payment records and charge ludicrous late fees for tolls that have already been paid. If you have a receipt, you might as well throw it away, because it will do you no good when trying to explain that it's already been paid. Just pay the extortion fees and move on.

It has good treatment and if you do not know English there is no problem here they speak to you in Spanish for me it is a good place, good treatment and the neck is fast.

I am from OK, and i got sent a bill for a toll that was not marked, no toll booth or anything. and the best part the bill did not get to me for 4 months. why should i have to pay a toll when Not even my State dosnt even bother to mark what roads are toll. A bunch of crooks, that scam people out of money.
