Fairmont Animal Shelter Review

Excellent non-profit no-kill shelter. Very knowledgeable & dedicated staff, friendly, helpful and goes the extra mile to save lives and complete families. I have volunteered for this organization and know first hand every effort is made to match families and animals so they live a life filled with love and acceptance. Very clean facility inside and out even though the facility is very old.

They do a great job with the animals because they love there job.Everything is always so clean.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a new pet.
You will need to fill out an app before you adopt. The fee for dogs is $175. This covers spay/neuter, first and updated shots, deworming, and heart worm.
You can visit the animals as well. They are always looking for donations to help out the program.

Extremely pleased with the experience I had adopting a dog. It was very painless and just involved some paper work for them to get to know the applicant. They happily showed us around and let us meet some of the dogs and were very forthcoming with answers to our questions. I truly believe they want to see these animals find a good home where they can be themselves and live long, happy lives. We hope to carry on this mission from our point of view by providing our new addition to our family, Huey, a safe, warm and loving home!!!

Was lied to about a kitten I was going to adopt, when I came to the shelter I was treated very rudely very sad, poor people skills!

Friendly staff, very knowledgeable, loves their animals, rescues s many as possible, let's you interview pets. Comforts abused animals. Needs donations. I'd support them anyway possible and I love my rescued dog!!!

I have gotten 3 wonderful dogs from here over the last 20 years.

Love this Humane society and the staff are very good at what they do.

I saved Blue from there 7.5 years ago.Its the best thing that ever happened to me.

All the young employees here were polite and friendly. The right kind of people to care for these beautiful, innocent and sometimes scared animals. I thank our loving Creator for using these youngsters to help restore a little faith in our younger generation.

This is a great shelter!! I saw a dog on petfinder that I wanted to meet. When I arrived at the shelter and asked for him by name, all of the volunteers immediately knew which dog I was speaking of. The staff seems to really know and care for animals!

About a month ago I adopted a year old coonhound from them. They called me a few weeks after his adoption to see how things were going. I told them about a few training issues we were having and they called back & emailed me with extra tips and ideas.

They aren't at all pushy with their follow ups. They are great and I really feel like they're trying to make sure the adoption is going well.

I've adopted animals from other shelters, and none of them have seemed to truly care for the animals as this shelter does. It's amazing. makes me so happy to support them!

The workers there were very sweet, it took me a minute to want to let go of the dogs I had to give to them, they let me say my good byes, and I knew they were in good hands with them.

Everyone here is dedicated to the utmost care of all their animals.

Such a great place! They treat every animal with kindness and compassion, and work their hardest to provide them with all the needs. You can tell they truly know all of the animals individually and love them dearly.

My son adopted his first dog here. Kendra help him! She was wonderful. My son renamed him Duke, he's a beautiful addition to his family.

These guys are great. They are caring and so transparent in their love of animals. Get a pet from here!

I think they need a new building. More room is definitely needed. I read somewhere that they were working on that and I hope it goes through. The people there are friendly and seem to care. But the place smells so bad.

Adopted LouLou today and I'm in love! The staff was so sweet and amazing, never minded my calls over the last week just calling to check on her while waiting on the adoption process to finalize either

The People at the Humane Society were very pleasant and easy to talk to!!

The two dogs we saw were very well kept up... they will give you a pet that will suit your needs!

They gave us treats to give each dog !!
The dogs were behaved and nice !!

You can bring in things for the animals, such as on the picture with a list on it that I took!

I suggest going here because every animal needs a happy home !!
