The customer service from the lady that renewed my toll tag was outstanding. However, the entire process and ability to help the customer is the worst that I have ever been apart of.

The customer service from the lady that renewed my toll tag was outstanding. However, the entire process and ability to help the customer is the worst that I have ever been apart of.
NTTA NORTH Customer Service is hands down the best, thanks for all that ya'll do, you're greatly appreciated.
Edward with the customer service department along with his "supervisor" Paul were both no help. Worst customer service I have ever had! Crooked company STEALING money!!
I purchased a new car and traded my old one in at the same time. I put my plastic hard case toll tag in the new car and later called NTTA to tell them about the change. They said they would send one of the celephane tags to me as they were phasing out the old tags. In the mean time I went through several tolls and were mailed an invoice for the larger amounts and the handling fees. I called NTTA and they would not remove the fees. After having a toll tag for nearly 20 years and giving them full authority to use my money they would not remove the extra charges and fees. I spoke to several people including LaQuita and Candra and they said I did not make the call to add the new car until several months after I had the old car removed. This is not true and why would I do it that way anyway. I find it very interesting that their customer service is so lacking that they can not write off a few dollars to a customer that has entrusted them with money for 20 years. I guess when you have a monopoly, customer service is not even part of their business. I do not know who is at a the top of management at NTTA but I guess the instructions of no customer service comes from the top. I am sure that the head of management will not reveal their identity to me because they really do not care. By the way not only is it bad customer service it is bad management of your money because I spent many hours with many people on the phone and unless you pay them 25 cents an hour it cost you a lot more than the fees you were charging me. I give you one star not because you are that good but because I cannot post this comment with hitting a star. You are not even worthy of one star. By the way this is the first time I have ever done a review on anyone so I guess that should also tell you something
Horrible all around this company does not want to help you, they just want your money. Shame on you NTTA! I have never heard of one person having a good experience with this company. Highly recommend getting some lessons from chick fil a on customer service. Also, don't charge people for things if you can't explain where the charges are coming from. That is something called fraud.
Extremely poor customer service. Just call for a tag and the person on the other end was rude and laughing about the entire transaction. The only good reviews here are perhaps from their own employees. Very disappointing especially for a "service" that in one way or another every citizen of Texas has to pay for it.
Awful accounts receivable department. Will constantly send late payment reminders even after checks have been sent and they constantly push for toll tag sign up.
The automated phone system said "Were busy now" and then just hung up after I was on hold for 25 minutes!
I have a tolltag and continue getting the stupid zipcash balance notices!
For the amount of time North Texas residents have put up with the DNT, NTTA owes us money! not the other way. Worst customer service on top of all this.
It's the best experience about customers service I ever have. Thank you LOVANNA you made my day....
Shutting down a lane in the middle of the day from Preston to 75, and not actually working is why I don t care that people skip out on paying tolls. It s also why no one respects work zones, and will lead to someone being killed one day. Hopefully it s someone from management.
I called to report I was using a rental car as my car was in the shop. Jeffrey was pleasant, efficient and took care of making it easy to use the rental car on my toll tag account. Very nice experience!
Hold time is too long
Very nad. ????????
Had to get a toll tag for our new car. In and out in 5 minutes. Although I could hardly find a parking spot because of the crowd of people, they are staffed so well there is no wait.
Just a pathetic organization, why someone in charge does not do something I will never understand, they will sit on a payment for weeks and send you a red bill with a late fee. Seems designed to make everyone get a tolltag whether you want to or not (ie, your credit card info) then they can just charge whatever they want to whenever they want to.
Yea the roads are nice... but the customer service is terrible, the online service is piss poor. For the money they are getting you would think they would at lease be able to run a stable web service. If you want to call to pay a bill, or set up an account I hope you have an hour to wait and jump through different hoops just to talk to another human. I avoid to toll roads at all costs at this point. Not to mention they sent me a tag for my motorcycle without my permission...
Staff are super friendly! I finish everything super quick!
Bunch of crooks with a horrible web service, exploding tolls and outright fraudulent business practices.
Great customer service here, been there several times all CS representatives are friendly. Sometimes you have to wait but not too long.
I went here in Plano to open a new account. The wait was minimal and the staff that works there are courteous and quick!
What you expect... they take your money! Very helpful staff and a good experience over all
I blew a tire on PGBT on May 17th, and was stuck on the shoulder of the road during rush hour. The roadside assistance through my insurance had a wait time of an hour and a half! I had been waiting about fifteen minutes when the NTTA Roadside Safety Service Specialist (Arebo Adem) showed up. He was very polite, put out safety cones, and changed my tire in a matter of minutes! When he told me it was free of charge, I was very surprised. When I offered to tip him, he said he couldn't take tips. So I told him I wanted to write a review. The incident # 33466, and his ID# 6027. NTTA is offering a great service, and this man was a lifesaver and a gentleman!
I love NTTA toll roads! I don t drive on them much, but when I do with my toll tag it s totally worth paying hundreds of dollars to drive my car down their road! I feel like I m getting a really good deal!
What a complete scam. Apparently I used a toll road managed by NTTA sometime in July and never received a bill. Then in October I received a collection letter from a debt collector for $94.96. Called their number and was first routed from the NTTA number to the debt collector, they couldn't do anything for me. Called the NTTA back and had to go through a number of contortions via their automated menu to finally talk to a cust service rep and they claimed they mailed one invoice (which I never received) in July and then 3 notices by email, because they claimed I requested contact by email. I never received or requested any emails from NTTA. I never even heard of these people until I got a debt collection letter. The only tolls I have ever received have been from TxTag which I've never had a problem with. I think someone at NTTA isn't sending out bills so they can just wait and route them over to debt collection.
Terribly run company! Run away if you can!! Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen! Just terrible!!
Extremely nice people with a great diversity of employees. I work here.
Best of the best customer service. This is how capitalism is better than the communism. A government office never be nice like private company. I was confused with my tolltag information. I called them and the woman working at office answered clearly despite my english is not perfect. I called many customer service before, but no place can beat this place about that. Life is so much harder nowadays, so just easy with every people you meet. They will love you like what you did. Thank you for doing an awesome job. God bless
The fees are utterly ridiculous & I believe additional stuff was added that didn't apply to my vehicle, but I need my registration sticker...I spoke to Franchesca & Phyllis in Customer Service and both were pleasant women. NTTA is a rip off and they should return our money when we have to sit in traffic on a tollway, however, it's not Customer Service fault...
They serve you very quickly and there are always Spanish-speaking staff
A couple of days late on bill and charged me a $10 for it being late but won t even remove the fee unless I have a toll tag stupid program and worst customer service
Pretty good experience, phone customer service rep was fast and friendly. Here's a tip if calling in, just dial 0 to get transferred straight to a rep. Will save you a few minutes navigating the menu!
Absoulty the worst customer service ever... never recieved a bill and then once I got a bill it was a final notice cost me an extra 10 dollars.... would not work with me at all. Got discontinued several times... NEVER travel through texas.... terrible ... nice job getting people to over visit this great state... never ever again....
Had a large balance but they worked out a payment plan with a down payment to lift the registration hold on my car. Friendly staff.
They're really good people I like them I pay Mine by phone cuz I don't have a toll tag cuz I don't use the toll ways enough to own a toll tag I mean it's like maybe once every three months when I use a toll so let the people when you pay on the phone a really nice I had had to pay one from while ago and the lady was real nice and was very courteous and we got to talking and joking and she did a real good job
This has to be the poorest run business in DFW. The web site does not work and they will not answer the phone.
UPDATE:
The lady I spoke with on the phone passed this onto their license plate team for review and to get it unassigned from my trailer. We'll see what happens.
---------------------------------------
I have never driven on any NTTA roads, as I live in Houston. I received a bill in the mail with my trailer's license plate on it, and a Nissan SUV in the picture. I called the NTTA and explained to the nice lady on the phone that it was not my vehicle that ran the toll - the computer auto-read program failed because this car has one of those tinted license plate covers and it picked my trailer plate out of thousands. She manually viewed the picture, agreed it was a misread, and told me it would be taken care of. Fast forward a month later and I receive another bill from the NTTA now with insane fees added on with the warning that they will take legal action if not paid. Again, the vehicle in the picture is NOT my trailer (which is based in Houston, and has never been further north than Conroe). I am now getting text messages stating my "account" has a negative balance. I will be calling them AGAIN this morning to try and get this taken care of, and will update my rating accordingly.
WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER (probably don't even care about reviews) called in last week to setup a payment plan , first of she sounded frustrated from the beginning of the call (HER NAME IS JUANA BARROSO) after that we are going back and forth about payment agreement she placed me on a 30 min hold just to send me the payment agreement via e-mail. Once she returns to the line she tells me once I send necessary documentation I should receive a documentation that reflect my registration is no longer blocked IT HAS BEEN WEEK TODAY AND HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING ! THEY WERE QUICK TO RETREIEVE $355.00 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AS A DOWN PAYMENT , BUT CAN'T SEND ME DOCUMENTATION AS FAST ! I CALLED YESTERDAY AND THEY ADVISED ME THEY WERE BACKED UP THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM! THEY PROMISE A 48 HOUR TURN AROUND! OH AND MS BARROSO , FAILED TO ADVISE ME THAT SHE ADDED A CAR TO MY ACCOUNT I NO LONGER OWE OR AFFILIATED W THE CARE I AM TRYING TO REGISTER ! I HAVE EMAILED HER MULTIPLE TIMES AND YET TO RECEIVE A RESPONSE!
Signed up for a toll tag. Apparently they didn t put my card information in right. Sent the invoices to my old address after I updated it when signing up for the toll tag. Now I have an invoice of almost $700(mostly fees) that they are telling me I have to pay and saying there s nothing they can do.
For the loves of God! PLEASE put signs up when you close exits so I can get off of the tollway earlier. Multiple times I have had to go past my exit and through ANOTHER toll tag machine. Fine...do maintenance but stop making me pay extra because you are too lazy to put up a sign that you closed an exit!!!! PLEASEEEEEE
Great place.
Fast Friendly Service.
They are very well organized and know what customer would need. I went there on a Friday afternoon around noon and it took me hardly 5 minutes for in and out to get toll tags for both my cars. People there are very well generous and intelligent
Small place but very organized.
Fast service.
Its ntta, staff is great, but dumb to pay for roads.
I needed to pay an invoice based upon my temporary license plate number when I didn't have a Toll tag. Once I received my actual license plate, I made a toll tag account, but I couldn't pay the invoice online since the account wasn't linked to my temporary plate number. I called NTTA to link the accounts and pay the toll. They gave me a lower price as if I originally had a toll tag. The lady who helped me was very kind.
One of the worst agency to deal with. I started receiving notices of nonpayment for the toll amount of $11.52. The total amount I am being billed is almost $82 which I found out about when I received (not a bill from NTTA but yet a notice of nonpayment which included almost $70 in administrative fees!) I contacted them when I received the 1st notice of nonpayment and explained I never received a toll bill. After being transferred back and forth from NTTA and the collection agency both telling me they could not waive the Administrative fee, that it had to be done by the other agency. I finally wrote a letter and included a check for the original toll fees and asked that the administrative fees be waived. I followed up on it several times and nothing. About 6 months letter I started get nonpayment invoices again. When I called they don't even have the same amount on the invoice they are sending me and the lady I spoke with said it had to be past due before I could get a hearing. I explained it is past due. There is a definite breakdown of communication from one agency to the other and an extreme lack of customer service!
Visited the place to get a new toll tag. The place had about 10 employees busy helping people and there were about 5 people ahead of me. There was a lady acting as a chaperon who was asking people what they wanted as they walk in what they wanted, providing answers and directing people to appropriate booths. The guy who helped me was very professional and straigh to the point, explained the options and got the job done very quickly.
Talk to kamika.. she was super polite and super helpful.. don't call on phone.. go see this employee with stellar customer service.
From out of state. I waited on a bill that never arrived in the mail for months, then received a "2nd notice of non payment" for $38.99 ($3.99 for the original toll bill, which I never received, then $10 for a "1st notice of non payment", which I never received, and then $25 for this 2nd notice) When I called I was told that 1. Their "system" said that the bills were delivered successfully (which is not the case because they would have been paid,) and 2. That no fees could be waived, then 3. in a sudden pivot, that (because I'm from out of state) only a $10 fee maximum could be waived because it was "policy" a policy which the supervisor I was talking to could/would not point me to as she refused to stay on line with me or give me a direct number back to her if I looked it up online for verification. And I have yet to find said policy on their website. So much for the "easily accessible" information and service from "cooperative staff" that they promise on the "Customer Bill of Rights" on their website. She said that if I had called upon receiving the first notice (which I couldn't do seeing as I never got one) she would have waived the fee. When I asked her why the situation was different this time (now that I actually received something from them), I was met with silence. She would just continue to revert, with a tone of impatience, back to saying "it's policy, sir." So all I can say is, build some toll booths and get rid of this absolutely unreliable bill-by-mail system, unless you just enjoy screwing over out-of-state drivers.
Rude operator hung the phone up on me to avoid answering my questions smh if u dont like your job get a new one
Okay okay... I know most reviews are negative but I had to take my time and leave a 5 star review. I was so hesitant after reading all the negative reviews to even bother calling them. It was for a 25 dollar fee on a 3 dollar toll charge. I never received any of the bills due to me being out of town. I called and spoke with the nicest lady, and she immediately said I do understand let me see what I can do . Well guess what she waived the WHOLE fee, I was in utter shock! Yes NTTA waived my fee, something these reviews don t mention a lot of. Great customer service rep!!!!!
*DISCLAIMER: TLDR: use it if you drive in TEXAS or OKLAMHOMA. This review only pertains to customer service and billing. So NTTA is a whole hec of a lot better than any of the Texas Tolls or Zipcash, or other independent toll road billers or owners..(not really sure how it all works) All I know is I used to have to track 4 different bills from 2 different states and was constantly paying OUTRAGEOUS late fees that I could barely track and yeah...it was a headache... SWITCHED to NTTA for all tolls in OK and TX, not a single issue or hangup. No late fees, no threats to fine me or arrest me for not paying my bloody toll...JUST $20 every couple of weeks. Guy who took care of all the late fees owed on the different toll roads NTTA manages was straight to the point and gave a full explanation of what I was paying for and why. VERY EASY AND SIMPLE TO MANAGE. Thanks NTTA.
We sold our car. We get notices of overdue charges from NTTA for the toll road use made by the car buyers in the sold car. NTTA will not produce the dates on which the tolls accrued, but insist we owe. Best case scenario: poor administration by NTTA. Worst case: theft.
Only people that don't have a problem with the NTTA are rich folk. The people that work for them should be ashamed. In no way helping the citizens that helped build this trash. Hope it all burns to the ground. This is apart of what's wrong world. If you don't understand then you are apart of what's wrong as well.
Double billing me for the last year and then puts a hold on my registration for refusing to pay. FU NTTA. I just removed my card from the account. If they are going to to do that, there is no point in paying them anything.
There's just something wrong about being forced to pay a toll for the inconvenience of sitting in daily bumper to bumper traffic. At least the delays are dependable. NTTA redefining the term "highway robbery"
Can you make it more difficult to pay your Bill?!?!?! Doubt it, what the F!!!!!
Great job I was in and out in minutes
Also the woman who handled my account was professional. And helpful sorry don't remember. Her name but soon as I go back I will post she made this public experience easy and enjoyable.
I was charged for tolls from a year ago! And I had to pay for old tolls that I had already paid! Then when you call customer service the automated system hangs up. AND then when traveling there are no clear signs of when toll begins and ends! Suck big time!
My address was updated with the DMV over 3 years ago, the NTTA claims the DMV my 3 year old address instead of the address my registration was updated to 3 years ago. Both representative and supervisor were unwilling to waive the late fees due to it being in collections. I ve worked with this type of place before and I know that a supervisor can waive these fees even in collections. This company is a scam and fraudulent in ever way. Do not do business with them.
What a friendly place, quick and easy. Very organized
I don't know about the online or phone experience. However going there in person was almost pleasurable. They were very helpful and didn't try to shove a toll tag down my throat. They were busy, but ran so efficiently that I was still in and out in no time. As far as my experience at the physical location of this Agency I believe it is one that all Bureaucratic Agencies should strive to emulate.
Fast fast fast and efficient service. 2 visits and both times were excellent
This place is awful in every way.....they are the worst.......They charged us extra $600 for nothing. Plus the awful staff in the office they are SO rude and So unhelpful. Take my advice and go to a different office. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION
Spoke with Jessica about an outstanding bill. She was so helpful! I thought it was going to be a hassle, but she answered all my questions and was very polite.
If you get a toll tag you pay 50% less than those who use the mail-in system due to being paperless. Remember that your tolls pay for constant 24/7 365 maintenance, debris and abandoned vehicle removal, repairs and free roadside assistance to anyone on the tollway. Have you ever noticed how much cleaner and well put together the toll roads are? NTTA picks up roadway projects that TxDOT are unable to pay for themselves but are necessary to keep traffic flowing in the rapidly expanding DFW area. Nearly all of the billions NTTA pays TxDOT for rights to construct roadways goes back into local roadway projects for expansion and repairs in the North Texas area. NTTA is not for profit and most of the money made goes to TxDOT before paying their employees, contractors and roadway projects. Just trying to help people understand.
If I could give 0 I would! HORRID customer service! Nobody can tell me why I was billed in the first place, gave me collections information, who said I have nothing in collections, call ntta back to take care of my acct and they argue and are rude about the information I just received from the collection agency and provide the reference number I was given yesterday- of which he was not interested in hearing. Long story short, I still have a sky high bill over what was originally under $10 I've tried to take care of for months they just keep adding more fees too. TERRIBLE people only looking to STEAL your money! Why did it take 6 months for me to receive a bill in the first place?
Make sure you have an appointment! The process is much easier.
Glad to see my tax dollars not at work for the NTTA to continue to screw everyone over. Not only will they add a toll road, causing massive amounts of traffic to everyone, but they'll also get the speed limit lowered on the non-toll road part of the highway because screw you. To hell with the NTTA.
Customer service works hard to keep any lines moving, just like their toll roads
The online service and over the phone service is not good at all, one star deducted for that experience. HOWEVER,
My wife and I went in person to cancel our tags before moving out of state. We had a 9:30 appointment. We walked in at about 9:15, and the whole process was done in under five minutes with our unused credit refunded.
Thank you NTTA for making that so painless. I'm writing this review in the parking lot at 9:22, eight minutes before my appointment!
Thank you!
I liked the treatment they give you. They are very responsible people in their work ...
Practice Social Distancing, which means you are outside until you are called. A person comes out and ask for your name. When allowed inside there is only enough space for 3 people. So if it happens to rain just know you will not be allowed in the building. There is not enough space to properly Social Distance one another. In short be prepared. Have a umbrella. The wait wasn't long in my visit fom time I provided my name the wait outside and inside standing in total was about 15 mins. Ten out side and five inside standing. Ps: Outside limited sitting. Benches provided I believe two. Once inside no sitting either you are standing, again it moved fairly quickly. I hope this information is beneficial to someone.
