Do not allow Minster law to represent you under any circumstance.

After car accident in July 2022, in which the other party admitted 100% liability I was put on to Minster Law by my insurance company.

It is now February 2024 and I have still not received any compensation for my injuries. In fact, they don’t even communicate or respond to emails, so I have no idea where we even are with my case!

I received a phone call from them back in November last year, in which the person I spoke to admitted that there were serious problems within the company, but couldn’t go in to details over the phone. They agreed with my complaints and apologised and also admitted that my file has just been sat in a tray for the last year and nobody has even picked it up to look at it.

He said they would now be working on it and will contact the other drivers insurance company and they have five days to respond, so he promised I would be contacted again in a few days with an update. That was three months ago now and I’ve not heard a word from them!
Also, that was the only contact I’d received from them since December 2022!

I have had to now involve the Legal Ombudsman to try and resolve this matter.

I repeat, avoid Minster Law at all costs!
Read the other reviews yourselves, I only wish I had before allowing them to represent me.

Some of the staff here are absolutely brilliant; I've such such sensitive and supportive conversations and help, (special mention to Kerry Goldthorpe for being a total star!).

As in almost every line of work, there are some people who are not able to appreciate how traumatising it can be to go through the process of accidents... but by far the majority of people I've had contact with in Minster Law have been friendly and patient, (even when I've had a few tears and felt a bit sorry for myself...)

They have to take us claimants through the legal process.. its tedious for us who are in pain and stress and frustration... but look,
I have no hesitation in recommending Minster Law.
They're professional, patient and kind - a rare combination!

Got a letter from them saying that they advise me ...

Got a letter from them saying that they advise me that the MIB won't pay any compensation without a vehicle registration number of the car that caused the accident (they have pictures of the reg number, I have pictures on my mobile saved), but If I sign a document that will allow them to take 25% of the compensation then they think they will be able to help... I was involved in a car accident where the other driver was not the owner and there was no insurance for the vehicle and any drivers associated with that vehicle. My case is now in the 'untraced department'. An absolute joke, would NOT recmmend this company.

Following a road traffic accident 3 years ago, which was no fault of mine,
I have had 3 different case workers who where very good. But I can
genuinly say that my present case worker Mahee Ali has been excellent, keeping me up to date all the way and tolerating my endless questions. Although my case is still ongoing , i have faith in my case worker Mahee including Minsterlaw as a company that my case will have a successful resolve.
I would easily recommend any one who needs such kind of help to contact Minster Law as they are an excellent company.

Awful, shoddy and very disorganised. Put my file "in the wrong system" which meant nearly 3 weeks delay. Then emailed me asking me to call in with regards to an update on hold for 20 minutes finally got through only to be told that she needs there's an issue with the party which they're looking into total waste of time still waiting for my final medical report to be arranged would be great if it's arranged by the end of 2019!

Don't get me wrong this was our first ever rta claim
And in the beginning there was sleepless nights on what was going to happen and injuries but minster law reassured us and everything was going to ok.
Top marks to the company and wouldn't won't it again to me or anyone in that fact.
I won't lie but stress and house hold arguments were regular during the process.

My claim following a car accident went nearly to the 3 year threshold to resolve and as seems to be a pattern with other reviewers I had a fairly slow and uninterested first couple of case handlers. However, once my case was transferred to Kerry Ollis I was in good hands.
Kerry communicated with me every step of the way and it felt to me like she really cared about my case. Her kindness and professionalism made a huge difference to how I feel my case was dealt with. Thankyou Kerry, you truly are a star!

RTA non fault case has taken nearly 3 years in 2017. Called Minster law to discuss my mother's case My mother passed away 8 months ago and I called to advise this and was told to forward the death certificate which I did. Ever since I called number of times but the team still reviewing the case. Everytime there is a new person on the phone therefore you spend nearly half a hour to explain and at the only thing they say that they will come back to me by telephone call or via email but you receive nothing even after 2 weeks to a month. Then I call again the same cycle repeats.
I had put in Google review month ago and the next day I had a call from Martin Armitage from Claims department, two weeks later I called and was told that he is reviewing the case and will call back and guess what no calls received from anyone from the claims department.
When asked to speak to the manager they always in the meeting or out of office team leaders if any are not bothered at all.
Also, from the other side of the phone I don't know if I am talking to the manager or team leader. Right now I am on the phone to the department for last 20mins but I still have had any luck to speak with manager or team leaders on hold,the lady who is doing her best to put me thru the manager or team.
In conversation with Richard Hagger says he is team leader. Now he is asking me if I was the executors and this the 1st time I am hearing. When I called Martin he never mentioned such things and was happy to discuss the issue.
Big lie was told by Richard Hagger that they had responded to my calls and emails when I asked the copy he said he cannot do that and he will terminate the call. I only made the telephone calls to them never emailed regarding my mothers case, so why lie about it.
Rude, unprofessional and under trained staff and big big liers.
They have closed my mothers case with even informing us.
The company is fraud and filled with liars and unprofessional staff right from the top to and an agent.

Traffic accident struck from behind at a roundabout with traffic lights. Whiplash Injuries developed over three days. Minster Law stayed in touch and responded as soon as the injuries appeared. They have remained in touch over every aspect of the claim which is still on-going but nearing completion. They arranged the medical exam and physiotherapy as well as courtesy car and repairs to be covered in the claim. I was left with nothing to worry about other than attending appointments.

I guess I'm just unlucky, or maybe this company is...

I guess I'm just unlucky, or maybe this company is selective with regards the customers they chose to support. Had a car accident in Feb 2018, and I can actually count the number of times I have been called instead I end up chasing them. You upload documents on their messaging portal and send emails; no acknowledgement. There is no consistency with the case handlers and I always speak with different people each time I call. Case is now languishing, no update whatsoever. It's a shame I didn't do my research before instructing this firm. You live and learn I suppose. Just bad luck.

Not a good experience at all . I keep ringing everyday with over 45 mins wait and never answered . No complaint email and Everytime I email using the app no reply. From start horrible experience . Very stressful from day one messed everything up and didn't put that my daughter was in the car and I sent them the CCTV footage . From July till now no pay out no calls and no emails.

Claim ongoing since January 2013, same old story i'm afraid. As open and shut of a case as it gets somehow managed to be stretched out this far, apparently i'm waiting for the other insurer to send the cheque but that was 6 weeks ago and i wouldn't be surprised one bit if i was being lied to again, if i could turn back time and choose a solicitor rather than just accept the first person who contacted me as competent, i would, but unfortunately i'm more than likely going to be waiting for another year. I thought things had improved when i got my new file handler but once again they've fooled me, its no coincidence that they get such bad reviews, none what so ever.

How long has it taken people to get the case settled? I had an accident almost a year ago and to start off really well always kept up to date. Now I've had 3 different handlers no idea which one I have now . Can't get through them. Keeps ringing out for over an hour. Giving one star but really even that's too much, the communication is non existent, no one ever chases anything up, you repeatedly get told various excuses like computer errors are holding your payment up, they are more then happy to take up your case but don't expect your payment when they say you'll get, it add at least another 12weeks on to their time frame if not more.

Above all, It was sp easy to contact them. Didn't have to wait for too long, on the phone. My emails always got answered. I recommend.

Surprise suprise another bad review regarding minster law. My case has been going on since September 2012 to October 2015. Still no no closer to getting a settlement. I got told over 1 year ago I was in the final stages of my case. I was passed onto this company via the insurance company so I had little choice but to go with them. If I had the opportunity to research this company before I would of stayed well clear. I've been promise a call back within 48 hours on 4 separate occasions and still get no reply. Case handlers constantly changed. Every time you call up they say I'll try and get hold of your case handler and out me on hold. Not once in the 3 years of me calling have they ever answered. Terrible terrible company. They have left me no choice but to contact The Solicitors Regulation
Authority. I not sure if this is even a real ref no 41729k.

Really helpful staff, the entire process was dealt with in a professional manner and explained very clearly to me. My caseworker Leah Stockhill always kept me updated and if I didnt speak with her the rest of the team where just as helpful. Hopefully will never have to go through the process again but if i did I would hope it will be with Minster Law and Leah Stockhill.

Appalling. No calls, have had to chase everything. No one calls, no one is ever there. Absolute disgrace. Crash occurred 9 weeks ago and they haven't even sorted out the FIRST medical assessment.

In January 2014, I sustained serious injuries in a road crash which was not my fault. My insurance brokers put me in contact with Minster Law and Anthony Ferraro initially took on my case. On his departure in 2016, he was succeeded by Anthony Doodson. Both these solicitors were always extremely kind and helpful. My phone calls and emails were always dealt with promptly and efficiently. I must, however, stress that, combined with my husband and I having to deal with my injuries and ongoing medical treatment, the claim has been a long and arduous process. This included our maintaining scrupulous records of our expenses, medical appointments and care time, plus many appointments with independent medical experts. My case has now been satisfactorily closed and I am very grateful to my solicitors. It was a great relief to have found that the appropriate legal assistance was available, to pursue my claim.

First of all I was referred to minster law to handle my non fault case. Rosie and Mandy were very prompt with their replies to emails that was sent and their handling of the claim. Always kept me updated and very easy to submit data through the portal and app which was very useful.

Correspondence is shocking! Not at all happy with them at the moment. 3 emails sent in the last few weeks, asking for them to be acknowledged, and nothing. After sending an email approx 1 month ago, asking for an update, I received a call. Unfortunately I missed this due to being at work. Called back as soon as I could and was then cut off by reception. Called back yet again, passed from reception to another department, back to reception who were going to transfer me back to the same department. After a lot of being left on hold, I then spoke to someone who said they would update my notes. I then received 2 emails claiming that they had been trying to contact me. So I took a screen shot of my phone log, showing that I had been on the telephone to them for a total of approximately 30 mins, and still no response.

Absolutely horrendous service! Referred to this incompetent firm through my insurers. From the first phonecall it all went down hill. They couldn't even write down the basic details and information of the accident correctly such as date, time location etc.

Spoke to 8 different people in the period of 6 hours. No one knew anything, both me and my partner got told conflicting information. They wouldn't even advise us about our claims as they arent legally allowed to do that... what's the bloody point then and what are you being paid for?!!!! All they want you to do is take a quick easy offer so they get easy money.

Just total undue stress from start to finish after an already stressful car accident. Stay well away and if you are looking for an injury claims company worth using go with Capital Lawyers! In the space of a 30 minute phonecall they had sorted everything out for us which minster law had failed to do over the space of 10 days.

Terrible, terrible, terrible service. My claim has been dragged out for the past year and a half, still no closer to being closed. Three separate people have dealt with my claim and each time someone new takes over it feels like I'm back to square one. I was forced to use this law company by my insurer thinking it would be straight forward due to third party taking full responsibility but it has caused more drama than it is worth. Nobody ever calls back when they say they will, you will spend forever chasing them yourself. Avoid like the plague.

I am beyond frustrated with this company, totally inept!! My claim has been going on without any success for 17 whole months, I am no further down the road than I was at the beginning. If I don't contact them, they don't contact me, I have been pushed around from this person to that person - they are an absolute disaster, I am so angry at the moment with it all and to actually add insult to injury .... the latest person assigned to my case (and I only found this out by chance as I was calling them again to see what was happening!!) has sent me an email with this on the end of it!!

"In the meantime I have instructed our medical agency Premex to arrange an appointment for you to be assessed by an independent medical expert and you should receive an appointment from them shortly."

Like really!!! You fail to follow up with anything, you give the "other side" 28 days to respond to a barristers request and you fail to follow up with that and that is now two months into it!! Now I am to be assessed 17 months after my accident by some medical expert - utter piffle!! I am actually sick and tired of this so called law firm, knowing full well at the end of it all they are going to say "sorry about your luck, there will be no compensation for you because we couldn't be bothered anyway, but our law clerks need the experience."

Within days after the accident my solicitor arranged for me a doctor appointment and then extremely helpful physiotherapy.
I have found the staff very professional, helpful, answering all my doubts and questions instantly and keeping me up to date with all the next steps throughout the entire compensation process.
Special thanks to Marcus Hoggard-Whittle for bringing this to a close and negotiating for me ultimately a very satisfying settlement.

I have dealt with Minster Law, on behalf of my elderly parents, regarding an injury claim following a motor accident in April this year. I have to say that every aspect of the claim process has been relayed to us in a timely manner, with constant updates by both emails and telephone calls. The service provided by this company, and Aaron Mills in particular, has been exemplary.

I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident in March 2014, resulting in an emergency visit to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and a stay in intensive care. At a worrying time, Nicola MacKay was able to be of great help to my wife, coming to see her at home and reassuring her about how I would be looked after as I recovered.
On my discharge from hospital, Minster Law were able to negotiate with the other driver's insurers to ensure that my rehabilitation needs were met, including providing equipment to adapt my home environment to my recovery, providing a care assistant to help with routine tasks during the day and ensuring I had access to physiotherapy and other support to continue my recovery as quickly as was practically possible.
As I continued to recover, the company ensured I had access to an automatic car so that I could return to work at the earliest opportunity, an important part of remaining positive about my recovery.
Once my recovery had been completed, Shaun Walker was able to arrange the appropriate medico-legal advice to ensure that I had access to an authoritative view on the long term consequences of my accident.
Finally, Shaun was able to provide practical advice on the level of my damages claim, including what was a realistic level at which to settle with the driver's insurance company.
As a result of the care I received from Nicola, Shaun and their colleagues I have been able to get back on my feet and get back to normal life as quickly as possible, and am reassured that my interests have been properly looked after from the day of my accident to the resolution of my claim some 21 months later. I would not hesitate to use Minster Law again.

I had to use this firm of solicitors due to being my insurance companies choice. How I wish this hadn't have been the case. They rarely answer the phone so everytime i tried to.call i was left listening to a ringing tone for 20 minutes or more with no answer. They dragged their feet for 2 years over my car accident claim, when I complained that it was taking so long they finally admitted nobody had looked at the new evidence I had sent. They only contact you by email and when you reply back it is not dealt with for weeks. I asked them to take my case to court as i wasnt happy with the compensation amount and they refused because it wasnt in their best interests. I have never come across such incompetent and unprofessional people and I would avoid this firm at all costs.

We were referred to this company after a car accident in 2016.

I found my case handler to be uncommunicative and often unresponsive. In addition they charge extra if you live in the south of England - clearly unaware that the cost of living is much higher. Maybe they think they're redistributing wealth 'Robin Hood' style, but in fact they're building and reinforcing a divide. Avoid if you're a southerner!

I did receive my compensation in the end and probably in a timely fashion but the poor communication of the process to me made it difficult to know what was going on and I would not recommend to anyone.

Touch wood I don't have another accident anyway!

I had a very simple car accident in June 2018, which left me with back and neck injuries which I recovered from by December. The other party admitted liability immediately. It is now April 2019 and the claim seems nowhere near being settled. Excuses I have had from Minster Law's claims handlers range from them forgetting to forward documents, to their online system which 'keeps crashing' apparently. I only ever hear from them when I rattle their cage - they NEVER communicate with me unless I contact them first and even then they often take several weeks to respond. The reports issued have been riddled with errors which take months to correct. I have asked Minster Law several times to inform me of their complaints procedure so that I can lodge a complaint but they ignore the request every time. I am about to contact them one last time, and seems clear I will have no option but to lodge a complaint with the Finance Ombudsman.
