My daughters throat was 75% blocked and we waited for over 2 1/2 hours. They said they miss triaged her and that they were sorry. They got her in right after we complained but we deserve better then this.
Ashley at the Front desk is super rude and unprofessional! Stay away not a professional environment!!
So rude! The girl on the phone shot down my simple question of how long should for poisoning last before going to the emergency room. She replied super snarky saying 'well if he feels bad then why aren't you here' so helpful!
I was having some sever pain after an MRI. My arm is all messed up from cancer and the position we needed to scan it in really got it hurting bad. My doctor's were both unavailable today so I walked over to the ER. They had me in in less five minutes! The doctors and nurses and such were very helpful and listened to me and my concerns. They had me taken care of in half hour and I was on my way. It's feeling a lot better with what they gave me for the pain. Y'all are awesome. Advocate is the ONLY hospital I trust to take care of me. They beat my stage 4 Hodgkins nine years ago. Keep up the good work!
Awful...waited 6 hours today for my husband to be seen, he had a high fever , a open infected diabetic foot wound and cellulitis. This man just suffered just sitting and waiting. Something has to be done about this ER department. Kids with sore throats and ear infections etc..should go to an Acute Care, Emergency rooms are for emergencies, not colds, sore throats, ear infections etc. ER is for heart attacks, strokes, Diabetic infections and so on. But the kids with running noses and whatever get to be seen at once. Not right,
Long wait in the waiting area and room. Rooms arent very private, seem like closets. Staff doesnt seem caring and overall bad experience
The huge (public saftey) rent-a-cop lady was extremely odious. Will never visit again.
Arrived at 8: 30pm it s now 11:58pm and still waiting to be seen at the ER. Got in at about 12:30. Nurses and Doctor treated us well.
The ER Nurse Britney works nights shift she is really rude . She didn t wanted me to speak with my love one or ask if she was being trafer to another hospital and she hung out the phone rude and disrespectful. And also told if she wanted she would not let us visit her that is just stupid
Please don t go to this ER even if you are dying. Worst experience of my life to the point where I had to leave after spending 3 hours there without even waiting to see my results and I had to go to another hospital.
The ladies in front are RACIST. I walked in with my husband having stroke symptoms no one seemed to care. They were looking at us and chatting and wouldn t ask why we are even there! Same thing happened with the next 2 patients ( one was black and the other one were a hispanic family)after us, however anyone that is white walks in , they jump out of their seat to assist them! Nurses don t care, they are all txting and playing games on their phone while patients are screaming of pain. I was given a room with dirt all over the bed and the floor. Bathrooms extremely dirty. Walls dirty , everything was dirty! How could this be possible in a hospital. The only person that seemed right was the doctor. We are going to file a complaint with the state department of health services. This place needs to shut down. You will get more sick going there. In the meantime, stay away from this place. It is a disaster!
My doctor warned me not to come here but I got severe food poisoning and had no choice. The doctor was fine but the nurses really could care less what s going on. I asked for a bed pad three times because I had uncontrollable diahreeah. Never got it. They had absolutely no pillows. They wanted to give me a urinarty tract infection test???? Asked for a urine sample upon arrival. I was in the ER for severe dehydration and was cramping up all over are you kidding me? Wanted to do a CT scan of my stomach. I refused. How about take some of my diahreeah or vomit and test it for bacteria? I guess that would have made too much sense. My son was balling to see me sick and throwing up and they couldn t at least let him sit right outside the room or even console him. It was as if he wasn t even there. No one payed any attention to him or even to say it was going to be ok. I finally fell asleep after 12 hours of vomiting and diahreeah, they woke me up and kicked me out because they needed the room for someone else. They would even give me a couple hours to recover. Worst experience ever.
I come to the infusion center here, have my tests done here and even gave birth to my daughter here. I don't recall having a really bad experience ever. 90% of the staff here are extremely nice and professional!! I recommend this hospital to everyone.
This place is absolutely useless. We have been sitting in the emergency room for 3 hours so far with a child who blacked out and still haven't been seen. I don't know why they call themselves " Emergency Room".
extremely long wait for my pregnant wife that is having stomach pains. multiple people in after us being seen first. apparently her symptoms aren't bad enough? Snooty front desk on their cell phones and not caring at all. Finally got called in, and they put her in a bed in the hallway. Ridiculous
When attempting to get my suicidal self injured son a ride home, they told me he left and hung up on me. Very unprofessional, especially since we are a half hour drive away.
My experience at Condell was an extremely positive one, especially considering what was bringing me in. The whole staff was very kind and I was treated in a timely and caring manor. I did not have to wait too long for anything even though it was a busy Saturday evening. I understand everyone may have different experiences, but sometimes you need to think of others and also what the staff/ hospital may be dealing with. It might be hard for some people to accept that they might not be the number one priority since you never know what the person in the room next you is dealing with. Lucky to have Condell nearby when I needed them the most.
From what I was told; the ER does not have a triage which means they just take you in order of arrival instead of by priority. Very long wait, made worse if you are in a lot of pain. Staff does not seem caring at all. You're just a number.
long wait in the waiting room and in the patient rooms
This is the least compassionate hospital I have ever been to. Long wait times, extremely rude staff. Spent hours here crying from being in such pain while they told me nothing was wrong and ended up leaving and going to a different hospital where I had to be rushed into emergency surgery.
I have been having a great time with this hospital never a better experience
Pregnant and super sick haven't been able to keep any food down for over 12 hrs, awful chills and abdominal pain which I stated to the two ladies at the check in desk at the ER. My primary doctor sent me to ER because she was super concerned about my health. I waited over 3 hours in the ER waiting room. At least 10 to 15 families came after me and were called in way before because their condition is worse. Not sure how they choose who's conditions is worse then others if the person isn't profusely bleeding or passed out. Apparently my health and my babies health is not important enough.... also super rude staff. My ER room was in the hallway for 4 hours I never got to have a wink of privacy as I dry heaved in the bowl while every single person who came by stared at me. Talk about humiliating me. I gurantee they will still try to charge my insurance that I was in a room which I am not going to let slide. Absolute worst degrading ER visit I've ever had. You go to the ER to get better not to be shamed in front of everyone. Shame on Condell ER for their awful practices.
I have been sitting here now for 2.5 hours waiting for someone to call on my mom, who has severe pain in her right side. People who have been here not even twenty whole minutes are being called before her. After the fifth person to be called out of turn I approached the desk to ask why that is, and the answer is that, some patients are being fast tracked depending on the work up. Because severe pain isn t fast track worthy? I m very disappointed.
Great hospital.... Clean friendly.... And they went above and beyond the call of duty to save my life... Im very greatful.... I have been seen here quite a few times as well as my kids... All those negative comments must be from ungrateful or just bitter people... Or the same people who constantly think they are the only people that matter in this world...
I had such great care here the other day for a torn muscle but I tried talking to someone named Chris just asking a question because I was just a patient there and my doctor told me to call with any questions he refused to give me his info so I can report him and hung up me 3 times I called management and waiting to hear from them I can t believe how rude this child was apparently they hire just anyone but hopefully management will take care of him and make him understand how rude and childish it is to hang up on people, I had been bleeding from my urine and my previous doctor told me that is a not a good sign. It s the holiday season maybe he ll learn a thing or two treating someone so aggressively.
Grateful for the investigations but abrupt discharge, no follow up
Really bad service and they let the people waiting a long time between the nurse come and the doctor!
Wow! No urgency seeing patients.
Im 2 months pregnant and waited over an hour already and all i got is a bracelet. I dont wanna catch any sickness so I rather go home.
When the bleeding get worse i can always call 911 hopefully someon can pick me up then.
There is a huge disconnect between check in/waiting room staff and actual nurses and doctors. People who work the front desk are not only rude and have zero compassion bit they are extremely unprofessional. They sit leaning back in the chairs, dress messy, scroll social media on their phones, talk loudly about things that have zero to do with their jobs, etc. All while people around them are in extreme pain and very sick. It's one thing to have to tune out and go on auto pilot but have an inkling of humanity to not rub in sick people's faces how unnecessary you find them to be. Nurses and doctors on the other hand are excellent.
