Darryl is absolutely the best automobile repair representative I have ever dealt with and your company should be very proud to have him as your employee. He is always cheerful, informative, diligent, and polite and he follows up with you regularly while you re waiting for your car or trying to get some service. Don t lose that guy. He deserves a raise. And no we are not related. I ve just been dealing with him for three years now and it s always a pleasure

Getting serviced at Honda of Serramonte leaves me ...

Getting serviced at Honda of Serramonte leaves me with mixed feelings. I brought the car a night before, because I work during the day and that part I do appreciate. The next day the technician called us, that car needs to have it's break flushed. The cost over $200 on a car, that had only approx 7400 miles. Just because the computer pops up a message, doesn't mean, that was necessary. However, for safety reasons, I decided to do so. I also had a coupon from Ell Cerrito for special price of changing oil and we have been told, they won't honor this coupon, even though, last time they did and that was the reason, we switched service location. After talking to supervisor, they did honor the coupon. I left a detailed letter with the car key, one of the items was changing the address. Of course, once the car was ready and should have been delivered, they tried to bring it to old address. Again, some headache with calling back again and asking to change the address. At the end, representative delivered the car, but instead of calling me, he called my husband at work and he had to call me to get the car. This entire situation left me annoyed and on top of that, that car has life time warranty, that I purchased with and at the end, I had to pay over $261 for a car, with a mileage of 7740 miles. Not exactly happy.

5/29/2020 - after seeing msg from Honda Serramonte to call back - I did today 5/29/20 - around 9:30 am. Of course, the person didn't leave any name in response to this review and when I called the number left, the customer service agent didn't know, anything about it and stated, someone will call me back. It is almost 7pm and I never heard back from anyone. If I could remove one star from my review, I would. The reply from Customer agent without leaving name was a joke.

Today low pressure light came on, and on receipt from Honda of Serramonte under tasks performed was - Check and adjust tire pressure. Apparently this task was not done, since I have to drive to gas station to ad some air to my tires. After this incident, I removed one star from my review.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The check engine light came on after driving the car less than 10 miles home and right after the "contract cancellation" (where we could return the car at a small expense) expired.

By the shady and unprofessional way the deal was made, it would be safe to assume that they merely turned the check engine light off as the car was serviced before letting us test drive it. The check engine light came back on after the vehicle cycled enough to pick up the OBDII code, but unfortunately the "contract cancellation" had already expired. The test drive probably wasn't long enough (and they usually aren't) for the engine to complete enough cycles for the light to come back on.

Customer Service was pushy, and inflexible on the price. The salesman, Ben, continued to stress that we couldn't find a better price on a car anywhere else, even though we already had found the same car at the same price , but with 20,000 less miles and in better condition from Andersen Honda in Palo Alto.
We just thought we could get a better deal somewhere else so we did not purchase it right then
By the time we decided to purchase it, the car had sold - and we needed a car.

Don't trust the numbers that they give you at Honda of Serramonte because they're complete garbage; they provide no evidence to support their claims, just merely state "we base it off the current market."

After telling them multiple times to specifically remove all the extra junk that they try to sell with the car (Gap insurance, Warranty, Phantom, etc...), I even caught them trying to sneak Phantom back into the plan (or forgot to take it off, which is still bad - that shows negligence to what the customer says/wants).

This place can crash and burn.

When I brought my car, I dealt with JERIC from beginning to end. He s the one dealing with all the paper works, checking warranties and update me time to time. I don t have to deal with anything. He s so patient. He knows what he s doing. Because of his positive attitude I would highly recommend Honda Serramonte. Thank you for all the hard work you put in with my Car!

Za-he (not sure how to spell his name I m sorry) did A wonderful on the customer connection and really made me and my mother feel at home and comfortable within the store. He wasn t really pushy on the sale and he communicated everything with great accuracy on the price from which was seen online. He was also very honest and I feel like as a salesman within the auto industry it can sometimes be hard to come by today. However his manager who actually handled all the paperwork (forgot his name he is a Vietnamese middle aged man) was very pushy on selling the car alarm by extending our finances another year. Turns out the car alarm was already installed and i know for fact that uninstalling the device may lead to damage to the car or extra labor, when it would of been more beneficial for everyone to just not do anything to the alarm and just leave the finances as is. Luckily we declined as if we hadn t we would be paying for something we were going to get either way. I feel as though car salesman should be upfront and honest. I understand that people need to make quotas however if a company is so fixated on making an extra sale at the cost of basically scamming the customer then I believe there should be some serious fixes within the infrastructure of the actual top management within the cooperation.

Everything about our recent service went very smoo...

Everything about our recent service went very smoothly. Check in was efficient. A shuttle to BART is provided to and from the service facility. During the day our service representative provided updates. The car was ready right on time and an itemized receipt ready to go at the end. And, as far as I can tell, the work that was done was perfect. Throughout the entire process all staff were pleasant and courteous. If we need service in the future this will be our first choice.

We got a good deal for our lease. Not necessarily the color we wanted but for sure a better price for us. Kevin did a great job looking for the car and following up for few weeks until we got the unit we liked at a price we could not let go. This is the 4th unit we got from this dealer, it is great to deal with just one person and you do not feel pressure to meet other managers and go through a long negotiation. I will really recommend you visit this dealer if you are close to replace your vehicle. Ask for Kevin, I am sure you will find a similar purchasing experience.

Give Darrell Wilson a raise, that guy was beyond amazing. Needed to get my right sideview mirror fixed, and I had the part ordered and the appointment scheduled. Darrell was the associate who met me outside, inspected my vehicle, and got the paperwork ready for me. I had mentioned in passing that my car was filthy because I was waiting to get the mirror fixed since I didn't want to completely shatter the old one, and Darrell threw in a free car wash. He said the service would take two hours, it took two hours, and I was all set after that. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this, even the technicians who serviced my car that I didn't get a chance to meet. They did a wonderful job and now I can see out of the right side of my car, haha.

The Financial manager is so rude he doesn't know how to work with the costumer . I went with my wife and ask about the price and everything and he say we can no ask about any change to the price ( with arrogant actitude) and I say yes because I looking to pay cash. We decide to leave the place and the same day we buy a toyota. If you don't know how to make a deal why you are working there? So sad.

This is for the service department: I went in for an oil change during the promotional 'happy hour' special as advertised on Honda of Serramonte's Website. You have to print out the coupon and present it to the service advisor before repairs/services are done.

Though I only purchased an oil change, Bobbie, my service advisor, was very informative about the results of my inspection (included in the oil change). My car was due for maintenance soon, but I did not feel pressure to purchase any of the services as the time (unlike other shops I've been to in the past). I was also given the price for each service, which helped me not only understand the cost, but allowed me to compare prices, and shop around. Overall, my experience was pleasant.

I've been going to Serramonte Honda for about 10 years for maintenance and services on Hondas and I must say that i wouldn't think of going anywhere else. My go to guy is Darryl Wilson because he takes the time to explain what services needed and why. Just a warning though, Darryl has lots of customers that you may have to wait longer than normal for him to get to you. But it's worth it.

Great overall service! My service advisor, Teddy Mui, was very welcoming. He provided great communication and guidance throughout the process. In addition, I appreciated the free shuttle drop off and pick up. My schedule for the day didn't skip a beat. I was able to run errands while my vehicle was being serviced.

I went there for oil change and the first guy told me "park your car in front of the service building and put the key inside and you have to wait for at least two hours" so I did the same thing but after half an hour Nothing happened to the car. So I talk with another customer service and he helped me.

I will happily bring my Honda into Serramonte any time I need anything done. They are worth the drive!!

Eric Chao in the service department is incredible and on two different occasions, he has shown incredible ethics and has gone above and beyond to help the customer. Here's the first time:
When I bought my Honda Civic Si from a different Honda dealership, I immediately noticed an issue and took it in to have looked at. The dealership told me that they hooked it up to the diagnostic device but it did not send an error code, and therefore, nothing was wrong with the car. When I asked if they have driven it, they told me that they didn't "need to" as the car "didn't throw a code".
A couple months later, I took it into another dealership. I explained that I had bought the car less than 3 months prior and was dealing with a strange noise. They told me they would need to hook it up to the diagnostic machine for them to troubleshoot. I explained to them that the previous dealership had done the same thing, provided the documentation from that visit, and asked for them to please drive the car. They refused unless I paid the diagnostic fee. This simply would not do.
Fast forward a year or so, and I was getting ready to move to California.
When I arrive, it's displays an error code. So, I take it to a different Honda dealership in the area. I explain the saga and tell them that I am hopeful they will be able to identify the issue. They tell me that they only had one code, not two. When I asked them if they had driven the car, the response was "Um.... yeah... I'm pretty sure that was done...".
Frustrated, I left. Fast forward 1 year.
The sound has gotten worse, and is happening more frequently and is getting louder and louder. So I decide to try out Honda Serramonte. When I pulled up to the dealership, Eric greeted me. I gave him the cliff note version and asked him if he would please drive the car, as the sound is happening and whatever is wrong is not sending an error code to the computer.
Eric smiled and said "We will absolutely do that!" and off we went on a drive. Already, Eric had exceeded in helping me when three other dealerships refused.
Initially, he thought that whatever it was would be covered, as my car was still covered by the warranty. Later that day, he called and told me that they had identified what the problem was, but that is was NOT covered by the warranty, and I would need to pay out of pocket... To the tune of $2K.
I had gone in to multiple dealerships for an issue that the car had when I bought it, and for a long time Honda customer, this was beyond unacceptable. I explained to him my frustration, and he provided several options. I, however, opted to escalate to Honda USA and I was disheartened to come to the realization that this would be my last Honda, ever. After about a week of being jerked around on the phone and waiting for call backs, I was able to talk to the regional manager.
I'll save you those details, but at the end of the day, we came to an agreement. Honda USA would cover the bulk of the cost, and I would pay the remainder. Once that was arranged, I called Eric to let him know they could move forward with the repair. All along the way, Eric made sure I was informed. He was awesome.
When I went in to pick up the car - there was another surprise. Eric had worked with his manager to discount my portion of the payment due - saving me more than $100. This guy.... AMAZING!
When all was said and done, the car now worked like it should have always, and Eric saved me from both spending $2K and having to move to another company. I was delighted by the service from everyone at Honda Serramonte (but Eric is KING)!
Eric - if you're reading this, know that I consider you the KING of Badassness!! Thank you for all of your help, patience and kindness when I was so frustrated with Honda that I was ready to break up. Thankfully, my love affair with Honda can continue, and you are the reason!!! You deserve a big fat raise, a promotion and tons of public accolades! Thank you for everything!!

Worse experience ever! I dealt with Eric Wu trying to work out a deal, but he just kept feeding me BS lines. Never gave me a straight answer and also bragged about his awards on his wall saying he was the best. His awards ended in 2012. What happened to the past 6 years! Lol. Unbelievable how he was just about money and not working with the customer. Thank goodness for the people at Victory Honda of San Bruno for getting us into a brand new civic lx that worked with our situation.

We've been taking our cars to Serramonte Honda for service for many years. This time they charged a whole lotta money to 're-fix' a past problem with the engine. Nice folks in the service dept., but our engine issue was not handled well and they don't give a hoot if it's not right. I tried calling Honda headquarters and they care even less. Way less ! Overall impression is super-bad ! I would not recommend the product or the service. I'm still waiting for a call back from their customer service "liason". So disappointing.

Overall experience was acceptable. However there are several things that I was not so thrilled about... 1) the courtesy shuttle ride was rather interesting (I would not choose that route in the future) 2) extremely difficult to get information throughout the day. Called and left many messages with no response 3) suggested repair seemed to be the most expensive possibility without any guarantee that the problem would be fixed (it is an electrical problem or a sensor problem)... there was no attempt to trace the open circuit reading just a suggestion to spend $2600 to replace the entire engine wire harness and then if this did not take care of the problem the wheel sensors would be replaced... Just seems like expensive guess work.
My overall experience is acceptable. The people are nice, but they seem to need more employees. Oliver is a great guy, but too many clients to be responsible for. He did offer me his direct personal cell # for future contacts, but it hardly seems right that he should have to do this.

When I arrived later that evening Honda was busy, he still took the time to show me the different cars and answer all of my questions. My overall experience is a 10 out of 10.

Brought in my Honda Passport for b16 service, using my own oil that I brought in and to look at a tsb for my transmission. Darrel Wilson was very polite and knowledgeable and provided top notch service. I received my Passport back within a few hours and all the items I wanted were taken care of. The tsb20-029 was performed and my Passport runs smoother and shifts like butter.

I had a 10:45am appointment and I arrived 10 minutes early. I pulled into the lane that said "Appointments only, wait in vehicle" so I did what the sign said. Literally 25 minutes later I'm still sitting in my car, employees clearly see me there, but no one has even come over to say welcome to serramonte honda or someone will be right with you. Finally, someone come over. All he says is we'll be right right you. 5 minutes later, Bobby my advisor came out to process my service. Everything went fine and Bobby was very professional, however, I was 20 minutes late for my next appointment. All I could think about was if I wasn't sitting in my car waiting for someone to help me with my appointment at Honda then I wouldn't have been late for my next appointment at 1pm. If your establishment is understaffed, hire more employees or at the very least train them how to be courteous and more welcoming. This is exactly why customers do not return.

Jeric was really great to work with for car service. I highly recommend working with him. He was friendly and thorough. He explained things well which I really appreciated since I don t know much about cars. My car was ready on time and both the inside and outside washed! What a nice surprise! I highly recommend this service center and Jeric in particular.

I went looking for a new car and the people at Honda did a great job showing me what was available. I test drove 2 cars- the 2017 Honda Fit and the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback and both had great features but I decided to lease the Honda Civic. The 2017 Honda Civic has a backup camera and a right-hand turn camera which helps with parking and lane changes; it also syncs with my iPhone so when I plug it into the car, so that it shows my GPS, reads my incoming text messages to me and also allows me to send text messages via voice commands; it has fog lights and defrosters for my side mirrors. I've owned the car for a month and unfortunately, it's already starting to have problems with the volume button on the steering wheel, and volume on the touch screen so I'm a bit disappointed. The next time it happens, I will be taking it in for repairs. My salesman was very kind and friendly and told me to call him with any questions but he only replied to the first text message question I sent him; he hasn't replied since. The finance guy was a bit pushy when it came to the add-ons, even when I told him I was trying to buy a house so didn't need the add-ons. He asked if I would want the add-ons if it didn't cost anything extra and I said of course, but then he changed it to an extra $2 a month. I don't know why he even suggested doing it for no extra cost if it wasn't an option. Now I wonder if I could've gotten it for free if I hadn't relented.

Great service! Honda of Serramonte service is satisfactory. Service manager Oliva is very professional and efficient. He gets things taken care well and timely. The waiting room is roomy, bright, and comfortable, plus with wifi access, coffee offered. Restrooms are also very clean. I had a great service wok done on my CRV. I would recommend Honda of Serramonte service.

Great service!! Eric was extremely helpful and explained all the service my car needed. He also informed me of a recall and took care of the too. Eric was polite, knowledgeable, and respectful. I've been to other Honda locations before and I have to say Honda does not disappoint. I will confront to bring my car to Honda of Serramonte as well as my service advisor Eric. Eric thanks for making this a great service experience and extremely easy for me.

I purchased my Honda Fit EX at Honda of Serramonte. Cole Kwong, Sales Associate was very accommodating, knowledgeable and courteous. I went there on Saturday, 11/28/2020 at 10:00 am and out of there by 11:30 am. He even offered to deliver my new car to me the next day, Sunday, 11/29/2020. Unlike other dealership, not pushy or tried to sell me other options. Also, the Finance Associate, Constance and Edmond, Floor Manager were also great. Honda of Serramonte are very fortunate to have such great staff representing "HONDA"!!!! Thank you.

I cannot stress enough how great this dealership is. CLEAN and COVID safe, professional and highly respectful staff. I felt that I was treated with the upmost respect and taken seriously. All questions asked and answered. Took the car for a test drive, as suggested by my saleswoman, Ran! Instantly fell in love with my 2021 Passport. Ran, thank you for being so communicative, informative and down to earth! Highly recommend Ran from this dealership. She has gone out of her way, to keep in contact with me and check in. Absolutely wonderful customer service and very professional. Also, from parts and service, Jerric, was absolutely nice and helpful! If you're from the Bay Area, I highly recommend Honda of Serramonte!! Thank you!! 5 stars!

I definitely did not have the best experience. I set up valet service 3 weeks ago for a Wed at 8a and the day my car was supposed to be picked up for maintenance service, I get a call at 840a asking if I still wanted valet service. Umm duh, i changed my whole work schedule for this and they ended up coming 2 hrs later at 10:15a. I was honestly going to cancel since I had to be at work soon. In addition, I noticed my address was outdated so I changed it (also a few weeks ago) through the website AND personally emailed a staff member, Bobbie, to update it on file. But when they called me, nothing was updated. Cool. So the service was performed and of course, everything is overpriced, 3 fluids cost $700, wipers $37, etc. Radley, the staff member who mainly helped me that day, said he wanted to give me a free carwash but acted like I didn't know we get a complimentary car wash at Honda but wanted to charge me in the beginning. It was just a pretty bad overall experience and I might just take my car to Honda of SF next time and see how that goes.

I bought a used car here a month ago. Most importantly I was not happy with the way they sold us the warranty; it was high-pressure and under-handed. Plus the financing associate tried to sneak in an extra $99 for something I didn't even want. I ended up with an ok deal, but only because my partner carefully scrutinized.

The first salesman was nice and the car had a good sticker price, plus they gave me good value on my trade-in (they reeled me in). Once they knew I was willing to buy the car they hit me with dishonest sales tactics to sell me the warranty.

Plus I didn't notice until I got home that the car was missing a front license plate (illegal). I should have gotten new plates before leaving the dealer. Now its a hassle. Called them about it. They said "It's probably in the mail". Nope.

My advice: Be willing to take your business elsewhere AT ALL TIMES during the purchase. Until you hand them the check, you have the power. Don't relax when it comes to "just signing the paperwork" If you're buying a used car, check for ALL the accessories and if they're missing take into account how much they will cost you and BRING IT UP. It may seem petty at the time but you'll leave happier.

Purchased a used Hyundai from them. Wing was extremely helpful and even did a facetime call so I could see the car before I drove down to buy it. They even put a whole set of new tires on the car for me. Only downside was an ignition coil had to be replaced less than a week after I bought it and they hadn't said anything about this when I was talking with them. Otherwise a good experience.

We initially dropped our car off at 8am on a Tuesday and did not have it back until after 6pm on Wednesday. Service was provided, but it took two days to repair/address something that should have taken less than a day. Besides a cruise control issue that apparently was attributed to a switch not being "on", we were told we needed a new tire. They didn't have the tire in stock, which we found odd considering our car is a Honda Accord (pretty standard tire for a fairly common car), the wrong tire was ordered, causing another delay. When the tire finally arrived and we were promised it would be installed right away, but 3 hours later it was still not done. In the end, the customer service manager tried to make it right be offering a free oil change, but.....

Air bag replacement on my Ridgeline. Took 4 months to secure the replacement part. Honda supplied a rental car of my choice for the entire period, free of charge. Honda of Serramonte handled the details seamlessly. This is a case of stepping up to take responsibility. Much appreciated. Some future loyalty has been gained here.

I showed up for scheduled service on 6/18 at 8am. ...

I showed up for scheduled service on 6/18 at 8am. After having my car looked at, they told me it would take 3 or 4 hours to handle everything. I declined the shuttle and walked to shop near by. I made sure to return at the 4 hour mark.

My car was not ready and I was told it will take 5 or 6 hours at this point. The person helping me then said it's usually 6 hours for what I needed done. This was not conveyed to me at the start.

The person helping me texted me to say he was taking lunch and would check on me after while I waited in the dealership.

At the 6 hour mark, I checked in again on the progress. Things were still not completed. The person helping me called me - while I was sitting 50 feet away - to tell me more about the cost of my visit.

I referenced a coupon on their website for 15% off major work -- which this seemed to be since it took 6 hours -- and was told I needed to present any coupons at the very beginning. The coupon itself says to present at time of purchase. The man helping he made a big deal to say he was checking with his manager and would honor the coupon.

The coupon was only applied to a small portion of the over all bill. The 15% off coupon was only good for roughly 0.03% of the entire bill.

At the 7 hour mark I checked in again and was told my car was waiting for a car wash.

Finally, after almost 8 hours, I was able to drive off the lot.

There were still spots on my windshield and I had to readjust everything down to the radio station they changed while working on my car.

The follow up emails asking how my visit went had broken links and had nowhere to privately give details of my visit.

This was a very disappointing experience.

I just recently had my Pilot serviced with Teddy Mui. Teddy is always polite, professional, and gives exceptional customer care. When I was in a rush to drop off my Pilot he made the process quick and seamless so I could leave right away for an appt. With Teddy I know I receive honest feedback and he will only do work that is required at a fair price. I only trust him and Honda of Serramonte to service my vehicle and my family's vehicles because they always get things done right the first time. Thanks Teddy keep up the excellent work!

From the very first call to the dealership checking availability for a vehicle, I was frustrated. Unfortunately the salesman that answered was impatient and seemingly annoyed that he had to check availability on a car that he assumed he wouldn't be selling (likely because of my out-of-state area code.) He said that he'd have to check and give me a call back later today which I agreed to. When he called back he wanted to set up an appointment to show the vehicle and I explained that we were a couple hours away and had one other stop to make. We would likely be there between five and 530. He sighed heavily he clarified that I understood their closing time is 7 o'clock and he would not be making a deal at midnight..I confirmed once again an ETA of about 530.

When we got to the dealership shortly after five, I asked to speak with the gentleman I spoke with on the phone. Upon seeing me he asked for the ID of the single person that would be test driving the car I gestured towards my wife and she gave him her ID.. Once in the car he wanted to know what vehicle we drove to the dealership, when we bought it etc. Seemed unnecessary and intrusive. After a rushed and uncomfortable test drive around the block filled the shouting directions to my wife and abrupt line changes we found ourselves back at the dealership never even having seen third gear. He was unsure of specific info regarding the car and was clearly a Honda salesman. He was however able to work in to the convo that they sell great warranties. When I attempted to explain that we weren't interested he snapped back that "he still sells warranties every day". Seemed odd at the time but more on that later.

Once back at the lot I asked how long it had the vehicle and he muttered something about a week or two which is clearly not the case as I had been watching the car online for almost a month and they put 1000 miles on it per the oil change clock (assuming they changed the oil as claimed.) While my wife and I were inspecting the vehicle he was once again impatient and seemed frustrated by inquiry.

When we sat down and got started on the paperwork the process started out rushed asking for proof of insurance etc. He informed us that there is a $99 charge to cover our insurance deductible in the event that the car was stolen. He must have gotten kick back on this bogus charge before because when I asked if we could opt out he sighed heavily, rolled his eyes and exclaimed "it's a good thing for the you and it is not optional! It is added to every single sale we make!" Reluctantly we initialed on the line and proceeded to the next item. An additional $2400 warranty was explained to my wife,with disregard to my presence. A great warranty that should absolutely be considered passing. My wife, clearly uncomfortable with his aggressive persuasiveness (gross used car salesman tactics) and said no I think we are good on a warranty. He asked why and at this point interjected to explain that it was out of our budget. He scoffed and laughed and asked how we would be paying. Because they have a $1500 on credit card payments, we agreed to pay $16,500 in cash, $1500 on the card and the remaining $7XX on a debit card. He told us that we would need a credit check even though we were paying cash. When I asked why he explained it is to combat money laundering and theft which made no sense. What is the purpose of a hard inquiry if no loan is being taken. He struggled to explain and resulted once again to it being a good thing and its non negotiable regardless of payment type.

Once in the sales room where they count the money etc. at the woman confirmed that the only reason they need a credit check is because we didn't pay for it in cash. Given that information hours ago, we would likely have opted for a full cash payment and avoided the inquiry. This is certainly not the type of customer service I would expect from affluent auto dealer. Aside from the actual vehicle, we are unhappy with the entirety of the buying experience and would not recommend this specific salesman sou Steven..

Overall the experience was great. Brian, the service rep, was very friendly, accommodating and professional. He explained everything well.
The facility does not, however, have a courtesy phone.
My phone's battery run out, and I badly needed to call someone. The receptionist, who was on the phone, said that they do not have a courtesy phone. Really disappointed with that. I saw the charging station, but I have to wait for it to charge at least 10% for me to make a call and complete it without it shutting down.
