Edmund was our salesperson and was super friendly even though the place was packed and short staffed. We bought a Jeep and when he saw the detailing was not complete yet, and we had to get home, he went and cleaned the windows himself! Then just before leaving with our vehicle, he noticed the tank was low on gas so he asked if we could wait about 10 minutes and he drove and gave us 1/2 a tank. Next time we need a vehicle, we will head his way.

Very helpful place , went through costco auto program and I wanted a specific color (black), specific model, Marcin helped me out to get the car (even though their inventory didn't have it but its sister delalership had it ) and dealership scheduled appointments for accessory install , They were like looking the specific color for me for 2-3 hours (it was low inventory in market) on new year's eve, shout out for that.

No free wifi at the store. My first Oil change waiting time is unexpectedly long, for 1 hr and 45 min ( I was told the standard service time was 2 hr on a followup call afterward.)

POINT 1: If your service rep would have told customers the estimated service time for the oil change while they booked the service on phone. Unexpected experience wouldn't happen. Thus, I would have made another plan rather stuck in your store without wifi service.

POINT 2: the rep for on the service followup call sound unprofessional. She told me I was "LUCKY" to get out early. This is turning me to an angry customer. Why would you make customer feels that they were being ridiculed? You know, when you don't give customer an estimated service time, they will assume a general working time by experience with other auto shops, such as about an hour or less for simple oil change job, especially a service appointment was made ahead of time.

It just a setup to be failed. Plus, my sales person only reply to my email before I purchase my car. All other emails I sent afterward went in vain. It is a combination of disappointment.

I brought my car in because it wasn't starting con...

I brought my car in because it wasn't starting consistently. I would need to try starting it several times before the car would start. I brought it in to have it checked out, the technicians did some tests and told me my car was fine. I asked them to look again and they once again told me my car was fine. A couple weeks later, I was driving down to Carmel and stopped in Santa Cruz for some coffee. When I got back in the car, it wouldn't start even after I tried multiple times. I brought it to a local mechanic that happened to be open on a Saturday and it turns out I needed a new starter, which is something that this team at Serramonte should have caught. It took my car breaking down for someone to finally take it seriously and fix the problem. This is very irritating since I brought my car in to have this issue addressed and I was told nothing was wrong.

Fast and easy to buy a new car especially for new car owners. Thanks to Giann and Jimmy, I was able to get a brand new CRV Touring in the color that I wanted three days before Christmas. Jimmy clearly explained all the documents that I was signing and Giann patiently answered all the questions my family members threw at him even my mom s silly questions and requests. My parents really wanted to buy me a new car before my flight on Monday and didn t want to waste time, with the awesome staff at Honda of Serramonte, I was able to drive home with my new car on the same day.

Bought a CPO car here that shook terribly when braking at high speeds and was at 50% oil life. None of this was disclosed when I purchased the car. When I brought it up to them I was told it s just wear and tear. Then tried to charge me 700$ for a front rotor and brake replacement when I went to get my first oil change. Salesmen was Marcin.

Don't bother trying to buy a car with them, especially online, because you have zero guarantee of getting that car and will be wasting your time. I had been trying to purchase a car with them and was told that they only allowed people to see vehicles by appointment. I scheduled the closest appointment, and made one the day it was supposed to come in and someone bought it right from under me, even though I had shown my interest and pre-applied for financing and such. They have no sense of dependability when it comes to purchasing, especially when it comes to appointments only. And to add insult to injury, their customer service was next to subpar. Especially when you ask for more pictures of the vehicle. It's like pulling teeth, and in the end, you won't get it anyways. So thanks for nothing but getting my hopes up...

We anticipated some defects when we bought our use...

We anticipated some defects when we bought our used RAV4. Some of the issues we noticed before purchasing, such as cosmetic damage. Other issues we didn t catch at the time. Some were merely annoying. The broken CD player. The noise one of the windows makes when it rolls up, a hint at a potentially larger problem. The missing cover on one side of the roof rack, leaving an exposed sharp edge. Other defects are more worrisome, like a bent bracket that suggests maybe the accident that caused the cosmetic damage was worse than originally thought. Or the broken bracket holding the bumper cover. The dealer also charged us for an optional security feature that we weren t allowed to decline, despite my requests to do so. Doesn t sound optional to me.

Still, I would normally write this all off as the price paid for buying a used car.

Then we learned, while my daughter drove home at night for the first time, that the headlights didn t work. Per California safety code: All factory installed lighting must be in good working condition. We also had problems with the brakes. Our mechanic said the brakes in the back were totally shot and that it had been dangerous to drive it in that condition.

It s one thing to sell a car with minor defects. But it s inexcusable to sell a car that lacks basic safety features and puts the buyer s life at risk.

Oh, and not surprising... an email to the dealer went unanswered. I don t usually write reviews, but I m writing this one as a public service: Do NOT buy a used car from Honda of Serramonte.

I came in for an oil change and overall maintenance check up. Service was friendly and prompt. They have a nice waiting area with a TV, coffee and donuts. They also have a waiting area for kids with children DVDs.

Excellent Customer Service. Went in for oil change only. Service Agent recommended other tests but did not push for me to do them and respected my choices.

Update: Went in again recently for the battery recall and I got the same Service Agent (Teddy) and he remembers me! Same excellent customer service like the past three times whether it's about my car, technical questions/terms, or the wait times. I highly recommend and will always come back to Serramonte.

My family and I visited the dealership on 8/30 with an appointment with, who I assume was the internet sales personnel. First, let me start off by saying we waited patiently for our sales associate for over 30 minutes before being assisted. My family and I had all the intent to purchase a vehicle from the dealership. After the test drive, as a sign of good faith we submitted a credit application and spent over 2 1/2 hours waiting. Prior to any discusssion on price, terms etc. the "manager" ran our credit and requested funds from three banks (as detailed on our credit monitoring bureau's). All this was done without our consent. Furthermore, the sales associate, justified this action by saying "we had to make sure we are going to get paid" all this prior to any terms being discussed. This is horrendous behavior by all involved. Needless to say, our credit worthiness was never questioned but the sales associate keep saying "we have to ask the bank for a favor" and "why you own properties" and "we cannot negotiate". Horrendous behavior! With the state of our economy and the importance of customer service why would you want to do business with a dealership who prioritizes predatory behavior. I will be reporting this incident to the BBB and filing a formal complaint.

I had a great experience with Honda of Serramonte. Zahi was very respectful, courteous, and never tried to give me the typical hard-sell that a lot of other dealers try to push upon customers. Zahi and the finance person (last name Luk) made purchasing my car as stress-free as possible. I would definitely recommend Honda of Serramonte to friends and family to purchase their Honda vehicle. I'm still enjoying the new car smell as we speak.

Sleazy, smug, and stingy - I would give 0 stars if I could. I have been coming to this dealership to service my car for years, and service has always been a pain. Wait times are unpredictable, shuttles are inconsistent, and there are always surprise charges when I come in for routine service. All of this is part and parcel of having an older car serviced at the dealership -- but now, the shuttle won't even take me to my house! This is unacceptable, especially when they always manage to squeeze $1k out of me. I live FIVE POINT ONE miles away, and their new limit is five miles, so I was stranded at Stonestown and forced to pay for an Uber ride home. I cannot believe this abominable service. Will not return, and would Absolutely not recommend after this experience.

They were great!! I got my airbags changed out for a recall and they covered the cost of everything. I was going to get my oil changed but the price was a bit high so I decided to hold off. They made up for it with the fact that they have a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up once your car is ready! That made it super convenient, and the shuttle driver really went out of his way to make sure everyone was taken care of. The lobby is area is really nice too, and they serve coffee! I was very happy with my experience.

Honda of Serramonte repaired my Honda Odyssey free...

Honda of Serramonte repaired my Honda Odyssey free of charge after determining that the condition which caused my Check Engine light to come on was covered by a Technical Service Bulletin. Teddy Mui, a service consultant, was AWESOME in getting my car troubles resolved and also in helping me get a rental car while my van was being repaired.

Earlier, another Honda Service Facility charged me over $180 in diagnostic fee and wanted to charge me more to adjust my intake and exhaust valves. Luckily, I did not follow their advice.

Thanks Teddy. And thanks Honda of Serramonte.

Honda has been up and down on the service scale over the last couple of years but it looks like they're trying to get back on track. The appointments for service seem to be better organized and this is a very busy shop so I always book an appointment. The service guys are fast and professional and actually talked me out of an oil change letting me know I was changing my oil too often! I had my car serviced the day before Thanksgiving and they were efficient and got my car done and out of the door in good time. I was very pleased with the repairs they did to my car and will continue to call them my Honda mechanic.

Hesitated to go to a dealer after having a bad tir...

Hesitated to go to a dealer after having a bad tire service experience at the SF branch. The positive reviews here brought me to Serramonte branch for help with my Fit's cold start noise, which the VTC actuator is believed to be the culprit. We walked in with a service bulletin and received guidance right away from an advisor. The ladies at the counter were efficient and helpful with setting up a diagnostic appointment. Left the car overnight the next week to exam the cold start noise. Advisor Darrell phoned me updates on the vehicle, super patient with all the questions I had. He informed me the next day that the VTC actuator was indeed the issue, that parts are being ordered, the car should be able to pick up by Friday noon, and ensured me that the repair plus diagnostic are still under warranty. My car was ready to pick up exactly the time he promised. Darrell walked me through everything, super attentive! Everyone here is friendly and knowledgeable. I'm super impressed and satisfied. No noise at cold start, and the car feels like running better than before!

My grandmother took her car to get serviced at this Honda on Monday October 12. She went for a routine oil change and left with a bill over $3000. My grandmother has a 1999 Honda Civic that is worth $1400. My grandmother is In her 90 s, she is extremely independent and able so we where completely unaware that she had an appointment to get her car serviced until after she returned. She was helped by a Mr. Radley Abarrientos, a service advisor at the location where he somehow was able to find $3000 worth of work that needed to be done on her 21 year old car. He initially wanted her to get $4000 worth of work, but when she asked him what was absolutely needed to keep her car going for at least another year since she is not planning on renewing her license, he lowered it to $3000. My grandmother brought this up to us unsuspectingly in casual conversation. Alarms instantly went up. The car is in great shape, runs wonderfully, but it s an old car with 219,376 miles on it and everything is manual. The blue book value is no more then $1500. This situation was concerning to us all because we wanted to make sure that the employees there were not taking advantage of an elder woman. The next day Tuesday the 13th early morning my brother in law called and left a message for Radley. My husband who works on our cars and knows about cars then spoke to the manager Bobby to discuss his concerns. Bobby wasn t even able to explain what it was that they were working on. After asking numerous times the specifics of the work that amounted over $3000, he was unable to give him an answer. My grandmother dropped the car off on Monday 10/12, when we called less then 24 hours later to stop the work from being done Bobby said it was already 90% finished. This made no sense because my grandmother was told to pick up her car on Friday 10/16.
Bobby then called my husband today, told him that he spoke with Radley and that since my grandmother signed off on everything it wasn t his workers problem and she had to pay no matter what. He said if she didn t pay he would charge her interest and daily stay fees until it was paid. He then told my husband that it wasn t his problem that my grandmother went alone and didn t know anything about cars. That that was in fact her problem and she should not come to get work done on her car with out having someone present. I will reaffirm that we didn t know she was going to get her car worked on. These people clearly took advantage of an elderly woman who is in her mid 90 s. If they had any decency, even if my grandmother needed $3000 worth of work they should have advised her against it knowing that the car is only worth $1500. My grandmother also informed us this is her 3rd time going to Serramonte Honda and they had over chargers her in the past as well. I am not happy with this service and I am disappointed in the people who work there and their lack of ethics.

They charged me $ 565 dollars supposedly to repair my vehicle and they gave it to me just like failing to want to change more parts and charge me $ 1,200 more supposedly for some sensors I preferred to pick up my car and go to another workshop there they found the fault was the starter and they replaced it for $ 320 dollars including labor and the part,

I had to send my new 2016 Civic 3 times before my ...

I had to send my new 2016 Civic 3 times before my issue was finally fixed. The first time, the issue was completely misdiagnosed as tire noise. I was referred to go to Firestone to get my tires replaced even though that wasn't the problem. I went back a second time and had the manager Tom inspect my car again and he immediately knew it wasn't a tire issue. It wound up being a bad wheel bearing which was fixed during my 3rd visit.

All in all, I wasted time, gas, and mileage for an issue that should have been fixed the first time around. Using extra miles to make unneeded trips to the dealership is a big deal for me because this car is a lease with a yearly mileage limit.

The only reason I would return to this dealer for service is because of my warranty.

Got an email from Dananh Nguyen | Vehicle Acquisition Manager after I posted a craigslist ad for selling my Camry. Stated they are interested in buying my car. Knowing these vampires never mean what they say, I ask about their best offer and gave them the VIN. They ran the check and told me $9500 for a 2015 Camry with a free carfax. My dad went to deliver the car and was told car has been in two accidents(which is incorrect) carfax is clean and never had been in any accident. Lied to us in front of our face. We bought the vehicle from a dealer and carfax showed very clean history and ourselves never had an accident. Offer my dad 8500 instead of the 9500 promised and refused to give the feee carfax report promised.

Avoid these dishonest sales people at all cost!!! You have been warned.

I received a letter saying my Honda Fit had been recalled for a defective airbag that could explode basically sending shrapnel into the passenger. My understanding from reading the letter was that I would be contacted by the end of summer about scheduling an appointment for a repair. Summer is gone and I had not heard from them so I called today and they said they cannot make the repair until some time in 2017. The dealership refused to provide me with a safe alternative car until they can make the repair. I am still trying to see what I can do to encourage them to fix my car.
