The service people are knowledgeable, friendly, and competent. Be careful to ask for a detail electronic receipt or you not get one. That's a corporate problem.

I already left a review for Genz Ryan, but Karim deserves his own shout out. I couldn t be on site, but he came and walked through the ins and outs of my HVAC system with my girlfriend. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. Emily now feels completely capable on how to keep the system in check on her own.

Noah is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Absolutely an asset to your team. Please make a note in my file for the next time I need service work on my boiler or water heater...........I want Noah back out here.

Tyler is a great service rep. He looked at and found some problems with both the furnace and venair. Very thorough and professional! Very easy to talk with, explained everything clearly. Very comfortable with him in the house. I would be happy with him on all of my hvac needs.

Alex made adjustments to the air exchanger that replaced the venair. It was very loud and there weren't clear instructions on how to set it up correctly. He fixed it. He also redirected some of the air pipes. He did a great job. Outstanding individual. Genz Ryan made sure we were satisfied with the product and the job. We had several followup calls from Jeff to check on the job, which again speaks to their customer service.

Furnace was acting up and Genz Ryan had somebody out within a few hours. Steve was very friendly, professional, honest, and got the job done!

David was extremely professional and friendly. He gave me several options and then let me choose how we would move forward with several issues. I'd definitely recommend this company and David.

Tyleer did an excellent evaluation of my central air problems and arranged for replacement of A/C and professional duct cleaning. Tre installed the new A/C unit very skillfully and explained the installment advantages and maintenance to me. He returned to do the duct cleaning. Excellent work!

James P was a great help. He gave great feedback and even answered questions about things that didn t pertain to his visit. Very friendly and professional.

We have used Genz Ryan 3 times in 30 years, when we needed a furnace they were the only people we called. Salesmen came Monday 10/12/2020(Steve) gave us the options, we made a decision the next day.

The furnace was installed today 10/14/2020(Pat and Trigg) looking forward to a comfortable warm house for many winters to come.

Technician Ryan explained everything he planned to do and possible issues that may arise for older homes, like mine He was efficient and able to troubleshoot problems. He had to return to resolve one issue and wanted to make sure the job was satisfactory before he left. Thumbs up for good service.

Well, when they did come their tech (Alex) did a very thorough job of cleaning the stopped up drain. I had called and scheduled this on 05/24/17 Between 5-7pm, but they were a no-show and I had to get to work. I did get a callback and they were very apologetic, but it was still not pleasant going an extra day with no sink usage. What would have gone a long way to restoring my confidence would have at least been a reduction on the bill--but that did not happen. But as far as getting the job done and giving me an up-front price they were spot-on.

Loren from Genz-Ryan has been most helpful in making sure our unit is working correctly. We had a couple of issues and he came out and took care of them immediately and made sure we were happy with the outcome.

I posted once but I have to update because I have now become a Genz-Ryan customer for life... the reason? Everyone I have dealt with at this company has been polite, professional, prompt and personal installing the Lennox SL 18XC1 which is so quiet we can hardly hear it run.. I want to give a special "shout out" to Alex R. whose service after the sale was terrific. He is not only very professional, upbeat and positive, but he came back three times and kept constant phone and e-mail contact with me when I thought the new unit wasn't working properly. He patiently checked over the entire air conditioner, and then suggested we try a new thermostat that he had on his truck. That fixed it! The problem was MY old thermostat...and then he still came back to install the new Honeywell Focus Pro 6000 thermostat that I picked up. Alex, your service after the sale was terrific, and Genz-Ryan will be my "go to" place for any other products or service I need. It was great to have such wonderful customer service!

Zac Benson responded to our no heat call to Genz-Ryan today. He arrived at the end of the day (we were likely his last call). We were really impressed by his patience and professionalism; he answered all our questions and helped us understand how our heating system works. This was really important because we decided to get a new furnace rather than replace a very expensive component in our 14 year old entry level unit. Zac didn t bring up the idea of replacement much less push it. As noted above he took the time to answer all our questions plus answered some we didn t have that turned out to be really important. It was the end of his day and he doesn t work on commission so whether we repaired or replaced made no difference to him. We never had the feeling that he wanted to get going, get this appointment wrapped up. We re very glad Zac responded to our call would recommend him without reservation to anyone. If we need HVAC service in the future we will call Genz-Ryan, and we will ask for Zac Benson. You should too.

Came home from work Friday before the big blizzard and deep breeze yesterday, found the temperature of the house in the 50s and the furnace would not turn on. Called and was able to still get a tech to come out very late Friday night. Loren showed up and was amazing. He worked with my husband and found the problem(s) with our furance. He showed us the problems and explained each of item so we understood the risks to continued operation. He understood our concerns and was easily relatable to our situation. He showed us the different options of repair and replacement. He was patient, explained items really well and more than once when we couldn't remember (it was around midnight before we made our decision). No pressure from him at all. Great guy and glad he also shared some baby advice as we await the arrival of our little one in a month. Can't say enough nice things about Loren.

Had an emergency plumbing repair in an income rental residence. Genz-Ryan was prompt and Bill gave me a selection of repair options to choose from. Repairs were completed within hours and Bill also found other issues with the home that needed attention. Always expect the best and always receive it from Genz-Ryan.

1-23-20: Plumbing Maintenance call out. Great service. Alex was warm, courteous, and very professional. Dealt with some issues with our tankless water heater and water softener. Great Service!

7-20-20: Had a call out to investigate a gas smell. Stuart was very thorough and found the problem and fixed it immediately. Appreciate the excellent service and responsiveness. Always a pleasure!

9-30-20 Replace Toilets. Had Genz-Ryan replace 20+ year old toilets. Jesse came out and methodically went about the job and finished in a few hours. Job was excellent and really appreciate the new efficient toilets!

10-10-20 HVAC tune up. Excellent service, courteous nd professional.

My service tech Karim did a fantastic job; he walked me through the work he did and remind me good practice of maintaining our AC / furnace.

I have been round and round with my insurance company to get full payment on a complete a/c unit. Once i secured payment i had to go a few rounds with my mortgage company regarding release of these funds. Genz Ryan was there and not only helpful but supportive through the whole thing. Great company, knowledgable technician (Mitch) and courteous office staff. Highly recommended.

Andrew and Tristan fixed several issues in our home. It was a large job that included installing a new electrical panel and bringing everything up to code. Over the two days they were here, they were very professional and courteous. They both went above and beyond what we expected. With a job our size there was a huge mess, before they left everything was cleaned up (including every last speck of insulation). While this was not something we had planned for, we are very pleased with the work they did and appreciate how thorough they were to get the job done. We would absolutely recommend them to any friends and family looking for an electrician.

Tyler was a very nice tecnician, courteous and informative. As he was leaving he noticed two bags of salt in the garage. He offered to bring them in and even fill the water softener. The five stars l posted was for the technician. I would only give the company itself three stars. I've had issues with installation of both the furnace and air conditioner, which I purchased from Genz Ryan. I feel their responsiveness to issues has been less than stellar.

Genz-Ryan was very honest, knowledge and professional. They completed the work completely, efficiently and everything works great.

So happy to have heat again! Noah knew what he was doing and I was thankful he explained everything in layman's terms!

Genz Ryan asking me for a review is a joke. I had a horrible experience with them yesterday. I called to schedule an appointment to have them replace a defective Moen shower cartridge. Genz Ryan installed the shower faucet in our home 2 years and 24 days ago. Yes, you know where this is headed. Moen sent me the cartridge free of charge, as they acknowledged it was faulty.

The plumber arrived and told me that because the house was only two years old and they did the plumbing, I was entitled to a free plumbing check. I declined because everything else is in working order.

Back to the cartridge... I watched the same cartridge be replaced on U tube and it took 3 minutes. The Genz Ryan plumber gave me the estimate to replace it and told me it would be $498 dollars. I am not kidding!! I thought he had found something else wrong, but nope! I asked him why Genz Ryan would not replace it under warranty and was told I was 24 days late!! I ended up paying a $99 trip charge and the plumber left. Before he left I asked him for his supervisor s number and he gave it to me. I left a very polite message for the supervisor to call me and he has NOT returned my call.

Fair warning- do NOT call Genz Ryan!!

I usually dread calling in "the professionals" because I feel like I am getting scammed or up-charged on unnecessary work. However, today I've found my permanent plumbing and heating guy and I'll never use anyone else. My service technician, Tom Ronia, was friendly, personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. Not only was my bathroom issue fixed quickly, but I learn a lot about my home in the process.

I look forward to doing business with Genz-Ryan, and specifically Tom Ronia, again!

The service person was very, very friendly. And honest too. First thing he told me was that his company was really, really expensive. I'm not sure if he told me that because I live in a condo and not a single family house, but he was right! Seems like quality work, but I'm not quite sure if I'll be able to go with them for example, to put in a new toilet would cost $600 with me buying the toilet and me disposing the old one. I guess go with them if you can afford it?

Very impressed! Andrew Schreiner arrived on time, assessed the project, provided me with three options for electric work in my kitchen, explained the differences between each plan, and then completed the work that very afternoon. He explained things in an easy-to-understand fashion and reviewed the work when all was done. Clearly Genz-Ryan is taking the time to hire excellent electricians. This one certainly makes them look good. Will hire again.

I initially called GenzRyan for my water softener. It had stopped working and was collecting water in the over flow. Bill came out and was very thorough in his diagnosis of the issue. I ended up getting a new water softener unit from them which they cover for up to 3 years. My old one was only covered for a year and died just after that time had lapsed.
Bill was friendly and clean. He also helped teach me to program it myself while he walked me through the steps. I'm confident this one will last longer than my whirlpool junker!! Thank you Bill and to the GenzRyan team!

Arrived at the time promised, Matt was super friendly! Provided plenty of options for my sump pump issue. He was able to get it quickly installed and working. I fully trust him.

The entire experience from the original phone call to the call from the call center the following morning to the technicians that arrived at my home was nothing short of amazing. The technicians were friendly, respectful, provided options and asked clarifying questions to make sure they were getting things right. Unbelievably happy with the entire experience!

Disappointed that you can t get a directional quote from them before a free consultation visit on getting a UV lamp and humidifier installed, when I can likely share the details of my current HVAC setup quote well. Also, that free consultation is not really the case if you don t use their service, the visit will cost $90, not impressed by the tactics used, but the lady on the phone was super pleasant and helpful. I m guessing they are not too worried about my business :) will keep looking.

Jeremy quickly detected our AC problem. Another company had put in an aftermarket circuit board in our furnace which prevented the fan motor from changing speeds. We couldn't cool the house. He replaced the board with a genuine Lennox replacement board and the AC cooled the house down quickly. I learned that just because you buy a bumper to bumper warranty upgrade, if you don't have an honest dealer they can substitute aftermarket parts that are prone not only to fail but may ruin other components of your furnace

New home (less than 1 year) built and we have a moisture problem. Genz Ryan tells us it is a construction issue even thou no water comes out of air conditioner when it runs. They accept no responsibility. Many of my phone calls to them go unanswered!! POOR SERVICE after the sale!! They don't seem to even care.
The solution to my moisture problem is for ME to purchase a whole house dehumidifier. I can't afford that at this time. We will revisit in the spring.
I do believe Wausau Homes Hastings(now out of business) and Tyler Walker is more to blame for not installing a dehumidifier during construction. 1st time home builder...huge $$$$ lesson learned!

Mitch was fabulous! He found the problem quickly, and fixed it on the spot. He even brought breakfast! I can't recommend Genz-Ryan enough.

Brent G. came over to check out my furnace which was not working during below zero weather. He discovered a few major problems and reluctantly gave me the bad news. We finally decided that, although much more expensive, purchasing a new furnace would be the best way to go as mine was on its last legs anyway. (12 years old). Fixing the thing would cost half as much as getting a new one. He was very polite and professional and easy to work with. Surprisingly very little paperwork to get through and they have a decent "no payments for a year" plan which was good for a surprise like this. I was so impressed that I signed up for their $5 per month maintenance plan. New furnace goes in day after tomorrow. I'll be using them for any plumbing and heating problems in the future.

Genz-Ryan sucks.

We called a week ago to have them come to our home to install water line before our new fridge arrived. Bill Blanche did the work.

They charge $99 just to come out, no free estimates. Bill Blanche spent 4 hours at our home trying to upsell every "problem" he could find. Original quote was $5,000 for work plus other home improvements. He spoke about guitars (mutual interest w/ my husband). Husband did not assent to $5k and was not sure about price for "only" the water line, which Bill quoted at $1000. Husband said he didn't want to pay him $99 for nothing, but the quote seemed really high... Bill then told him if he did not take his quote, then he just got "paid $99 to talk about guitars."
Really?

Bill Blanche said he'd help us out on the $1k quote. He would get our price down $70 by reducing the two year warranty down to 30 days. Great.

When my husband asked why the quote was so high, Bill said "the company has to pay for their trucks, and healthcare costs for employees." Not that this was a difficult or complex job. They needed to pay for their high overhead. Nice.

They do not quote by the hour or materials, just by job. I asked manager Jeff Dehler for an itemized bill, and was told it was a "complex formula" they had in their computers that calculated price.

I asked for that formula, and he said he would not give it to me.

I asked for three quotes to other customers on three comparable jobs, he would not give it to me.

We priced materials. Copper pipe, $6. Hammer arrester $12, water shutoff valve $4. Flexible water line from pipe to fridge, $8. Copper T-bracket and elbows, solder, let's call it $10. So... roughly $40 in materials...

Mileage? I would assume that was part of the $99 fee to look and give bid.

With the $99 for estimate/mileage charge and the $40 in materials, all that's left is the charge for being a plumber and time spent on job...

$693.

That being said, he did a good job. I respect those that work and that people should be paid for that work. I know companies have costs of their own - nothing is for free.

THAT being said, we were robbed. There is a difference between being charged for work at a fair comparable rate, and getting GOUGED because of ignorance. I don't believe this was fair. And the fact the manager just brushed me off and did not even attempt to work with me or reinstate the two year warranty equals a BAD experience.

Caveat emptor, my friends. Buyer beware.

We were uninformed and we needed the work done, but people should not be taken advantage of like this...

Please think twice before working with them. At least arm yourself with this info and protect yourselves...

Genz Ryan is a ripoff! From moment one the tech worked the up-sell, then "sold" us a part that didn't fix the furnace. Figured out he was in over his head and told us to CALL SOMEONE ELSE! Took our $800 though and following and "internal company review" Genz-Ryan determined the whole situation was handled appropriately and we would not be refunded the money for a bogus part and a furnace that remained broken until someone competent from a different company came to fix it.

I was extremely happy that I decided to call Genz-Ryan to do a furnace check and tune up. I was fairly confident that the previous homeowners had never done one, so I wanted to make sure that everything was good to go for the winter with 2 little kiddos at home. The technician was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure to explain things that he found that should be done relatively soon and things that could wait awhile. Never once did I feel like he was trying to "up-sell" me; he just went through the different things that he found and explained why it might be a good idea to address them. I ended up having Genz-Ryan come back to do a duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning after the furnace checkup. My family and I were very pleased that we decided to work with Genz-Ryan and we will continue to do so in the future! Great experience!

Shea arrived on time, kept me updated, improvised a pretty great pivot, and gave me a completion time that was within five minutes. I was very pleased with his work, we did not go over budget, and he even listened politely to a boring story about our upcoming garage sale. All in all, a very knowledgeable and competent technician who did not try to sell me on additional needs. A++

Genz- Ryan has a good team for converting MicroWave internal circulation to External circulation of exhaust through a vent. they did a very good job !!!. The Genz Ryan service team technical skills and workmanship is very good. I appreciate the response of the customer support,marketing team and service team.

Our furnace suddenly stopped working on a snowy and cold day. I called and within a few hours Tyler was here and located the problem. He thoroughly explained the trouble and quickly had it up and running like brand new!

Once Mitch had enough information. He was able figure out what was causing the problem and the solution to fix it. I don't think it the techs it the condensation pumps. Tech are with knowledge to fix the problem.

Demo old tile alcove shower and installed newer type. Very efficient, methodical, no guesswork, did it right, cleaned up afterwards Used protective counter and floor covers and COVID PROTOCOLS, polite, friendly and professional!

Dave Brown fulfilled all of the expertise one would need when faced with a home plumbing dilemma. He immediately found our problem, outlined several choices and suggestions for solving it. Once we decided what option we would take, he simplified our decision by setting up a schedule that worked for us.

After installing a new furnace, I was concerned that the new furnace was not operating correctly. It took a long time to increase the temperature in the house in the morning. Ryan came and checked out the furnace and found that the filter was completely blocked , as we had the ducts cleaned shortly after installing a new furnace. Ryan took care of it, checked to make sure the furnace was correctly set up and explained the difference between my old furnace (one stage) and my new furnace (two stage). This was extremely helpful in me understanding how the new furnace works. Thank you for taking care of this. I feel much better about the new furnace and it is now working very well.
