Awful experience. Technician was a salesman not a technician. He literally let out a sigh when I began to ask him questions and said to me, 'I thought I explained this really well?' I told him the sales pitch was great but you didn't tell me anything technical that I needed to know. I caught the tech on camera walking across our freshly cleaned carpets without his booties or tarps on the floor. He went into my garage, took a bucket, and took it with him when he was done. Cameras are a great thing. It took 6 weeks for anyone at this company to get back to me about this awful service and when they did, they told me the stealing of the bucket, walking across my clean floors, using my bathroom have nothing to do with the service performed!! Nice ethics at this company. They couldn't grasp the seriousness of the situation or what else the tech could have put in the bucket that I couldn't see. When they asked me how to make the situation right I said return my money or give me a discount on service performed. They said they can't do that, they could give me a coupon for an AC checkup or try to get my bucket back. Talk about greed and not caring at all about the customer. I will say after 7 weeks they returned my bucket! LOL!!
To the Genz Ryan comment that there was a resolution. There was no resolution. I was told I couldn t get my money back, or even a discount!! Great ethics! Steal from customer and no resolution.

Made an appointment for 3:00-4:00 time frame. Was contacted as I was on the way home (at 3:00) that they may not be able to keep our appointment. Since I made arrangements to leave work early the last minute change did not make me happy. Felt like I was being "bumped" for another job. This appointment was in conjunction with a bathroom re-tiling which now sets my project back. Will not use their service again and sure can't recommend based on my experience.

Tom Ronia, service tech, went far beyond his duties. He discovered a water leak after removing my water heater, he contacted a company to come out to my house and repair the leak. He talked to them to explain the situation. He talked with my townhome association and got things rolling before he had to leave. Tom could have left me to figure things out for myself but he didn't, his customer service skills are fantastic!

He was there over 10 he and still not done, came back next day and still didn't finish, missing the right parts. Finely on day 4 got done, hire someone other company.

I had my old AC unit looked at by Tyler as it was having issues and was an older unit. After reviewing the options I went with a new AC unit. The technician Adam gave a call ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and took the time to go over the work that was done and answer any questions I had.

I also had plumbing work done by Alex M. He took the time to go over the work, what it would entail, and the cost of it. Great work from everyone. I am pleased with how things have turned out. Thanks.

Knowing I was getting my water meter replaced, he made sure that not only was my repair taken care of, but also let me know of other repairs the city would require before proceeding with the water meter work. In addition, he also tackled getting my water softener installed with perfect instructions on how to ensure it worked once the water was turned back on. Matt M. was a super nice guy. Gave me lots of options to replace my water heater and didn't pressure me. Very friendly and personable. Offered information on services and repairs but didn't push me to do them. Let me know what they were doing each step of the way.

Scheduling was a little frustrating but that's not his fault. I was originally given a time between 8 and noon. The voicemail I received the night before said I was the first call of the day at 8:30. When I called at 9:30 to see if there had been a change, they said a tech would be leaving for my house shortly. No one arrived until about 11:30. I would rather they had just stayed with the original block of time and not told to expect someone at 8:30.

When it came to repair or replacement options he set up a list of options based on my needs and we talked about each one. I never felt pressured to buy or not buy. Our Tech Richie was OUTSTANDING. He gave a no non-sense approach all while being as professional as could be. He went through our system and explained the problems so a normal person like me could understand. He also explained something which led me to believe that another company who gave me a quote was trying to completely RIP me off. There's a reason why my mother has went with Genz-Ryan for so many years and she's trusted them with all her HVAC needs..and now they've got my trust and will have all my HVAC meeds for years to come.

We called Genz-Ryan on Monday, May 4th, because we suddenly had no heat or air-conditioning! They were able to schedule a technician for the same afternoon, and Dalton Reynolds arrived around 2:00. What wonderful service!! Dalton found the problem, was able to fix it, and also cleaned the air conditioner (separate issue)! We are so pleased with the service and with Dalton: very polite, pleasant, and good at his job! Thank you, Thank you!!

1-17-2020 Andrew Schreiner came one hour ago and got me all set up with a financial package so our home can have a brand new circuit panel. He is an amazing young man who is intelligent, knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend him to everyone in the future!

Service Tech Richie Rimer came to my house for an Air Conditioning Tune-up. I am rating him a 5 star because he demonstrated his expertise by explaining in layman's terms the condition of my air conditioner and furnace.This was very helpful. I will say the company has scheduling problems because they were scheduled to send someone out to my residence yesterday during a time window but did not do so. Service tech (Dalton) was very professional. He took the time to explain all the tests that he was performing while doing my annual furnace tune up. Communication was great. I received a text message the day before to remind me of my appointment. The day of the appointment, I received a call to let me know the technician was on his way. In addition, a picture ID and a brief biography of the tech was provided via text as a safety precaution. Not many companies go to that extreme to keep their clients informed. To be honest this is the first 5 star rating I have ever given.

Selling our house and the buyers wanted us to have the furnace and AC professionally cleaned. Genz-Ryan came out and refused to just clean, insisting that he'd have to do a full inspection and tuneup because it would be unethical to just clean them.
Did his thing for two hours and then told my wife that it would cost about $1,000 to fix the AC which was the most needed repair. She refused any repairs and he left and then emailed us the report. Multiple red squares were on the report stating fault this and fault that. Some others were orange boxes. This was on both the AC and the furnace! The faults were also listed out on the invoice which stated that we chose to not do any repairs.
When the main office was called and they looked up the ticket, they stated that all readings were within spec and that NOTHING should have been listed as a fault. They said all furnaces and AC unit would have similar readings.
So how is it unethical to do just the cleaning that the buyers and sellers agreed to, but it's ethical to use red and orange alert boxes and list out faults that aren't?
I knew that having them come out for a $30 per unit cleaning, inspection and tuneup would be risky. They don't make money spending two hours at a job for $60. So of course the tech has been trained to find everything he can to charge and they use company supplied forms with scary red and orange boxes.
Genz-Ryan won't be hearing from me again.

I had a good experience with the sales person for my new AC, and the installers were prompt and courteous. However, they turned off my gas and did not turn it back on. The next morning when I realized that my hot water heater, stove, dryer did not work I called their customer service line. The young man was rude to me - insisting that I was the one who disconnected the gas, the technician would have never turned it off, and it was my problem. He refused to send a technician out until the next Monday and told me that they couldn't be responsible. I had to find someone on my own to reconnect my gas and never received a phone call to see if I resolved the problem or to give an apology for the mistake made by the technician.

I accept the fact that the technician made a mistake and forgot to turn the gas back on - but the way I was treated when I called to report it is really unacceptable. When I just spent almost $6,000.00 I expect better customer service. My feelings about Genz-Ryan were colored and I am not sure I would recommend them to others.

Genz Ryan came out today for the AC and furnace tune-up. They found a problem with my furnace and gave me a wide array of options to address it. I chose one and they took action on it right away. Richie was prompt, courteous and thorough. It's clear that he loves what he does. I've had Genz Ryan out for three projects so far, will use them for more!
