Amazing service! Steve came and in a very professional way fixed our unit and explained everything he was doing to help me understand the issue. We will definitely use this service again!

We had few major electric issues at my house.Andrew Schreiner replaced main breaker.He have depth knowledge on electric concepts.He explained issues clearly& professionally and presented few options to choose.I like the service and we did purchased membership with Genz-Ryan for yearly inspections to avoid main issues in future.overall great service.

Called GenzRyan as a result of a burst pipe flooding my basement. Online saw 24 hr hotline, called and was given appointment for following day from 12-2. My wife comes home to meet them and at 2:30 have not seen them so she calls office. Was told that one of their plumbers got sick and that they couldn t honor the appointment. When asked when they could come out we were told June 12th (two weeks later). A call notifying us they were not going to show would have been the very least we would have expected. We obviously cannot wait two weeks to address so we now need to start over the process of finding an emergency plumber after having already lost 1 day. I no longer Love These Guys .

Very personable & professional electrician. Gang-Ryan should be very proud of this employee.

We needed help with a leaking pipe. They showed up within an hour after the initial phone call and fixed our problem. They also advised of potentially other problems with our plumbing (original 1960) down the road. Joel was kind, patient, and efficient.

Mike stayed quite some time explaining things when our air conditioner broke down. I am not happy with the a/c unit itself but Mike did a good job

Pete was outstanding. Very professional and went through the details of what needed to be repaired and why.

The service call on 10-09-12 by Cory VonBank was a very pleasant business call. He found the problem and asked if I had any questions. Very easy to communicate with. In my opinion, Cory is definitely an asset to your fine company.

Joel came out today to take a look at our water heater and ended up replacing it. We had a wacky set up from a previous owner, but he took the time to explain the whole process and help us pick a replacement that was perfect for our needs. He ended up spending all day here because of the complexity of the install, but he was beyond professional, kind, and hard working. Even though he frequently had to go in and out, he always stopped to put on the booties and never took his mask off because of covid. We have two toddlers and an energetic dog, but he tolerated the crazy and kept his sense of humor until the end. We joked as he was leaving that we should probably add him to our Christmas card list after spending a while day with us. It's great service from people like Joel that will keep Genz-Ryan as our first call for any of our future HVAC and plumbing needs.

The technician Stuart was knowledgeable and explained everything well. He didn t mind my dog either in spite of barking.

Genz Ryan could not have responded in a more timely fashion. There were a number of tight time frames I needed to meet and they did everything to get my unit repaired with plenty of time to spare. It may be because they chose to send Mike, who displayed great knowledge about what needed to be done, analyzed all components, presented me with several options to address the issue and, upon my decisions, proceeded to promptly repair the unit to fine working order. My guess would be that Mike reflects the approach of the entire organization but right now, it is all Mike that gets my kudos.

Service was excellent. Andrew Folz was very polite and answered all my questions. Adjustments to 25 year old furnace brought system into standard (including Carbon Monoxide). Installed new multi speed high efficiency motor (will run quieter in winter) and cleaned fan. For time spent and piece of mind gained, cost was well worth it.

Cory V was timely, professional and very helpful. He explained everything and went above and beyond to make sure my family was comfortable and got the best prices available.

Ryan was very friendly and professional. Fixed our A/C in a timely manner laid out all our repair options!

My furnace went out and I called another heating company (name from a on-line coupon) at 8 AM. I got their answering service and by 11:30 I did not even have a call-back. I then called Genz-Ryan and Clay was at my door at 1:00. He had called 30 minutes ahead so I could complete an errand and be home when he arrived - on time. He was pleasant, efficient and offered me options on levels of service to have done today. I also had him install a new thermostat while he was here.

I will definitely use Genz-Ryan again for any heating or plumbing needs. They are excellent! I have had three technicians from G-R service various appliances and all of them have been great. A wonderful company to deal with.

The service technician Noah is awesome he s Knowledgeable, Professional & Courteous. He quickly diagnosed a leak that was missed from a previous service call and I was happy to see Gena Ryan stood behind their 30 Day service warranty at no charge to me.

I would like to acknowledge Zach Maroushek for doing such a great job! This was the first time I used Genz-Ryan after seeing an ad on TV and receiving a promotional card in the mail. He was very professional, knowledgeable, kind and considerate. He went above and beyond by answering my many questions. He also was able to extend his time at my location to do some maintenance work for the woman who lives below me. I would recommend Zach to anyone and want to let the upper management at Genz-Ryan know what a great representative he is of high quality work, professionalism and customer service! Annual furnace tune up completed. Professional and thorough. Will use again!

Great service and quality. We had the air conditioner, furnace, and water heater replaced.

Matt K., our customer service rep, was very positive and honest. Looked over our house and gave a wide variety of options. He knew our situation and budget and made a wide variety of suggestions. Then the question had to be asked... "How long was the wait?"... We had multiple estimates that had us anywhere from 3 weeks to 4 months out. Matt laughed and said, "How does Thursday sound?" We were blown away. The two weeks prior without A.C. was not fun and the fact that Genz-Ryan could get what we wanted done, within our budget, AND in a timely matter was a no-brainer.

Our tech that came out, Adam G., was very polite and efficient. Even when it was raining outside. They worked hard all day and it turned out amazing. We could tell right away when the A.C. went on. Afterward they cleaned everything up, explained what was done and the general upkeep of the units, and answered all of my questions. Unfortunately, Genz-Ryan did not have the air cleaner/UV lighting in stock that I ordered. The parts were on back order which is understandable with the current situation. Adam said it would not be long, a week or two, until the parts were in and would let me know right away when the parts arrived so I could set up an appointment to have it installed.

Next, I have Genz-Ryan coming out to clean the duct-work and replace the water heater. Thanks!

I bought a $29 A/C tune-up on Amazon local. Cory V. did the tune-up and made the whole experience very pleasant. He was informative and answered all of my questions. This was the first tune-up ever on a 15 year old system. I was expecting some high pressure sales pitch--did not happen. I'd call Genz-Ryan to service my system without hesitation and trust them to do the right thing.

I needed a new Furnace and Hot Water Heater in my condo in downtown. I had a few estimates but got sold early on Genz-Ryan. My initial contacts with the office, the estimator, and the team who did the installation were all extremely professional.
They didn t try to up sell me services. The price quoted was what I paid. The service team were respectful. Showed me how the equipment worked and gave me an on-site demonstration.

Came home to a wife and baby in a house without heat. 55 degrees when the thermostat was set to 72. Contacted Genz-Ryan and they were able to come out before noon. I was very impressed with their communication through the chat, phone calls, and even a text message giving you a picture and bio of the technician on the way. I thought that was super cool! Their technician,Tyler, was great. Very personable and friendly. He worked quickly and efficiently to get my home and family comfortable and out of the icebox. He explained and showed me what had gone wrong as well as potential issues in the future for my aging AC unit. Definitely recommend them for your HVAC needs. I love those guys!

Brian did a very nice job on my kitchen sink installation! He was knowledgable, and very personable. I would recommend him to anyone.

Strong sales pitch, similar to others here who talk about the sales guy they send to your house (instead of a technician) Extremely expensive installation and the water heater they installed from American Water Heater Company. Looking up this company shows an overwhelming amount of negative feedback from people all having similar problems (pilot won't stay lit) and poor customer service. About two weeks after it was installed my pilot light went out mysteriously. I literally gave them over a thousand dollars in labor to install a $400 water heater with terrible reviews. (FYI, you do not get an itemized invoice) I will say that so far they have been at least very courteous, but I do not believe they are good value.

My initial contact was with Christy M, who couldn't have been more helpful! Friendly and professional, she kept me apprised of when the Service Tech, Tyler U, would be arriving, etc. Tyler U was also exceptional! Explained what he was doing, where there were problems and what my options were. Wonderfully patient with all my questions and concerns. No problem highly recommending GR and their staff!

Our electricians Andrew and Ryan worked with us to rewire our 1970's house, including moving our breaker box to be up to code. They worked quickly and efficiently to trouble shoot the many problems that came up. All without cutting any holes!

Noah was awesome, he ran me through all the options and explained this i didn't understand. No high pressure sales snd I appreciate that. Next week when Im ready to make a decision Noah will be at the top of the list.

Richie was very courteous, asked what I needed to have done and if I had any other concerns. He explained what he was doing and how his results compared to last time. Also charge the Fall tune up price instead of the regular price originally quoted. Great work at a great price.

Jake Dietrich did a great job on the issue with our in floor heating boiler. He spent more time than I expected trying to diagnose our problem. He also stated he didn't want to replace random parts with hopes of fixing the problem (which other companies have done, none of which didn't fix the problem). I was very appreciative of his time and professionalism. The honesty from a company goes a long way. I will call Genz-Ryan again in the future.

Josh was friendly and professional. He conducted a very thorough inspection of my furnace & A/C unit. He provided a full report of his findings & went over my options in detail. He set up my next appointment

I also appreciate the steps & efforts the Genz-Ryan staff made to keep me updated on the status of my appointment via text, email, phone calls & the name/description of the technician. The staff provided Class A service.

Suggestion: placing the time of the appointment in the email & text messages would be really helpful!

Our technician was Tom. A fine young man who did a superb job. I would recommend him highly to anyone. My wife was at home and extremely satisfied

Tyler was the technician to came to our home to do the annual furnace checkup. We got a call about 20 minutes before he was to arrive. He came on time, well within the given timeframe, was courteous and prompt. We have never had a problem dealing with Genz Ryan, which is why we always use them for our plumbing, heating, and air conditioning needs.

It was the worst service I ve ever had! It was so bad that I am involving the Attorney General and B.B. to get my money back.

Thank you Genz-Ryan and especially our tech Dave B. for coming out on Saturday and replacing out water heater. Dave was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping us pick and install our new water heater! Thanks again Dave! I would recommend your guys to anyone in the market for a new water heater.

Professional, courteous, flexible. Cleaned up, never knew they were here. Pricey, but so is everyone else. In/out in less than a day. Recommended.

Called on their furnace tune-up special. Scheduled for 5 weeks out. On day before the appointment, they called and said they had to re-schedule. Looks like we can do it 6 weeks from now - end of December. 2 1/2 months to schedule a furnace tune up. Do not even bother!!

Everyone did a great job installing my new air-ex changer, clean, neat etc. One major detail they failed to check to see if my furnace blower worked with my new ex-changer. I had a blown fuse in my furnace caused by the wires touching when adding a new controller. Ryan had to come back to fix what was left undone. I was left 6 hours on a very hot day without my air working.

Very helpful in answering our questions regarding air quality in our office. Listened to our concerns, carefully inspected our current system and gave us a range of options to apply to improve the quality of air at our office.

A snafu with the support desk was handled with great care and the work was completed excellently. Top notch.

AC not cooling efficiently. Tech identified the problem quickly and provided an array of solutions. Work was completed without delay and the AC is back in business.

I called to have a valve in the wall for an ice maker replaced because it was leaking. The plumber was more of an upsalesman and showed me quotes to replace my water softener, hot water heater, pressure regulator, etc. for $10k. I initially wasn t sure if the leak was in the wall or just the valve so I turned off the water at the main which qualified me for a $199 emergency service fee instead of the normal $99 service call. The plumber was very personable, but with that said they got almost $1000 to replace a $20 valve under 2 hours.

Well it s been 5 days and no word back from the Gentz-Ryan Customer Service Manager that was promised. Based on all of the online reviews this seems to be their standard operating procedure. Honestly, I don t expect that there will be any adjustment to the invoice, but I encourage everyone with a bad experience from this company to post their reviews. They will get the message as their revenues drop and more people realize that they are not plumbers, but are like used car salesmen in the plumbing business.

The technician took time to investigate the situation and explain their findings. I was presented with several options for repair/replacement including financing. I am happy with the experience and the customer service.

Steve is a top notch salesman. He must be trained on the Sandler sales approach. He wasn t begging for my business and I wasn t begging for his service, it felt really comfortable.

Tyler is great to work with. We have previously worked with him in the past at our first home and to my surprise it was him again. We had a great experience with him the first time and like always he goes above and beyond. He makes sure to answer all of my questions and had such patience. I had two crying kids and my phone was constantly going off. I appreciate the fact that he didn t rush me and waited until I dealt with the kids.

Andrew was honest, friendly and competent. I had a "simple" breaker switch issue that turned into a mess of wiring in my kitchen. He took all the time he needed to properly diagnose the issue, explain my options and at the end the price was much lower than I anticipated. I would recommend Genz-Ryan and more specifically Andrew to anyone who has a need for an electrical fix. Very happy first time customer!

Steer clear of this company. They installed the ac unit in my new construction home but it had a leak in the system. I continued to call them back year after year to "fix" my ac unit. They continued to charge me to fill the refrigerant and other repairs that didn't correct the problem. Fortunately, I got fed up and called Standard Heating & Air who diagnosed the real problem within 10 mins and proceeded with repairs. I've used them ever since and their customer service can't be beat.

My experience with Jeremey R was outstanding. He was right on time, extremely nice and personable, very knowledgeable and went out of his way to go get a part for my broken furnace that was in Mendota Heights. It was an absolute pleasure having Jeremey in my home. Any work I have done by Genz Ryan I will be requesting Jeremey!!

Noah was fantastic. We were looking for a quote for a new unit due to high cost estimate of repairs from another company. He decided to take a look at the unit and determined that the issue was somewhere else in the system. The real needed repair was much less expensive. It is fantastic that he took the time to diagnose the issue and save us a couple thousand dollars.

Ryan did a great job replacing old furnace and air conditioning
with new Amana furnace and air conditioner in one day.

Ryan was great. He arrived on time, was professional, used a face Mask throughout his time in my home and had shoes coverings. He reviewed the work he had done with me and how the equipment worked. He even answered questions and concerns I had about a new furnace that had been installed recently. He made careful notes in my account for future reference upon servicing and for tune ups.

I requested a bid for retrofitting central AC on an old house. Rodney, the sales rep, was friendly and prompt and looked things over and took measurements and said he'd get back to me to present a proposal.

When he came back to present the proposal, he showed us a series of options on his laptop. It was going well, the options looked good. I asked for a written version to think it over. He said he could not provide a written proposal. I said that was a deal-breaker. He offered to come out to show us the powerpoint any time I wanted to see it, but he would not be able to provide anything in writing.

I've never had a contractor seeking to work on my home refuse to provide a written estimate.

Tyler was very kind and explained things clearly. I appreciate the time he took with us to make sure we understood all of our options. Thank you!

Inspected and tuned up the furnace system in my recently purchased home. Great job and they provided insight into the design and potential future problem areas I might have with my 30+ year old furnace and A/C. They identified what my alternatives are with approximate costs for each alternative and the identified priorities for the recommended upgrades/fixes.

Mike came out in bad weather answered my questions that I asked so I could understand what was wrong and what needed to be fixed, very professional, comfortable talking to him and fixed the problem same day. Koodos to Mike and the company he works for.

My repairman was here for over 2 hours - 30 min to look at my furnace, the rest of the time trying to sell me a new one. Couldn't give me anything in writing as to what was wrong or estimates... There were fees for both.
Called a competitor for a second opinion, he fixed it within a half hour and billed me less than Genz Ryan's $99 minimum.
Shame on you Genz Ryan!

The installation of my new water heater was unexpected. Dan was clear in explaining the options without a hard-sell approach. Even in midst of a pandemic, the safety practices were followed from the moment he arrived to when the job was done. Conscientiousness in today s world is very appreciated.

This is the third time I have chosen Genz-Ryan and each time confirms why I choose them for planned and emergency plumbing work.

You never want to hear that your AC needs work, but Ryan explained our options very clearly .We were able to come to the most reasonable solution for us. Ryan was totally professional during the visit.

Tom was very personable and accommodating. He addressed all my needs and went above and beyond in making sure that I understood my water softener issues. He checked my ducts and also checked a leak problem under my sink. He was very thorough. I totally enjoyed my visit with him while he was here. He represented Genz-Ryan extremely well and actually gives me hope for the future of our country. Delightful young man.
