Chris C. has been out to my home several times to service my heat/air system. He is always very helpful and takes time to explain what he found and needs to be addressed. It is always wonderful to see a familiar face year after year!

Needed new Macerater for basement toilet. They came gave me a quote. I hired them for the job and the worker was very courteous, clean, friendly and knew what he was doing. He cleaned up after himself and the quoted price was as he said after the job was done. I highly recommend this company and will use them again if needed.

The first issue with ac happened the 4th of July. Chris C came out and rescued me. On time, very respectful, and understanding. Out of all the services I have used Curtis is the best. Chris was amazing keeping me with ac till the others came to install.
The guys who installed were great.

I paid for HVAC maintenance on a promotion they offered. $79.99, the guy came over my house and with a hose just washed the condenser unit. That... I could've done it myself!!!! I then asked him why he was not cleaning the AC unit, and he said that it was $279.00 Rip-off!!!

Although the price seemed step the promptness of service and reply to questions was very good.

Chris did an amazing job servicing my house. He conducted an inspection to make sure my unit was running properly before the winter started. This was the second time he serviced my home he was super knowledgeable and helpful. I definitely recommend this company everyone reliable and friendly.

Matt was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have gotten work done on my home from other companies, and it doesn t compare to the work that Curtis does. Matt got me the best financing, he explained to me all the options I had, and went into all the issues of my heating system. I ended up getting a new heating system that was installed a couple of days ago. It s so easy to use, the guys who installed it were very respectful and they got the job done in a timely manner. This company will have my business from now on, and I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone. They have emergency service for after buisness hours which is convenient as well.

Very satisfied with Will McNally and his service team who came to our home yesterday and installed a new heating and AC system. Very professional and their workmanship is excellent. This was a huge job and took all day. What impressed me was the level of teamwork displayed by all the workers as they professionally installed the system. I called Curtis Total Service for the first time during summer for a plumbing issue. They sent out Jason, who did a tremendous job with excellent workmanship. That's why my wife and I decided to try Curtis Total Service for yesterdays job. I highly recommend this organization and will definitely use them in the future.

2/22/20.After my hot water heater was leaking I needed service fast. The next morning Mike showed up and did a awesome job fixing my water heater, and replacing some old pipes. Service was very professional and informative

The tech was nice but he stressed me out to think I he would might not be able to get a part for my air conditioner. He also told me how much he hated my Lennox 2 year old air conditioner. I signed a service contract hoping that the cost to fix the damaged parts would be low. Not so the cost for a simple replace of my fan and orifice would be over 700 dollars. The quote was given to me after I signed the service contact. I call 3 different Lennox suppliers and got quotes on the parts. They told me the parts would cost approximately 200 dollars with shipping. Everyone I talked to said that was some mark up on labor since it is a very simple job. I do not have confidence in this company and wish to cancel the contract. I called yesterday 4/19/17 and 4/20/17. The operations manager is suppose to get back to me. Still waiting. I feel as a senior lady I have been taken advantage of because of my lack of mechanial knowledge. Beware of this company!

We were very much satisfied with all the work these young men did and how well they cleaned up when they were done!

Prior to the service man's arrival, we received a telephone call stating just when he would arrive at our home. Upon arrival he put on shoes covers. Matt advised us of our present system and it's shortcomings and talked about the benefits of updating it. Our questions were answered coherently and professionally.

Technician, Matt, arrived promptly and did the work efficiently. I called for a broken AC Central unit and they came THAT DAY. I did sign a service plan that others seem to think is not worthy, but after using two other companies over two years who did not even look 'under the hood' so to speak of my unit, I happily signed a one year service agreement that covers twice yearly maintenance on my AC AND gas heating unit. Quite pleased with first appointment. Thank you, Curtis Total Service!

Very efficient and courteous techs, know what they are doing. I would recommend them. They were in to do maintainence for my heat pump and I purchased the air scrubber

I had a great experience with Curtis. They replaced my water heater (it broke down after about many years of use and was just not making hot water anymore).

They showed up on time, did the job fast and stuck to the estimate. Really quality work too. Very happy with them.

I love the Carrier heat pump unit and the initial installation, but watch out if you need follow up service.

I have a quote for a replacement condensate removal pump that is $399. The exact pump is available online for less than $60. It sits on the floor in the basement and plugs into a standard wall outlet. No additional plumbing or electrical work is required because it was done on the installation. It will literally take longer to open the box than it will to install the unit.

I can and will do this myself, but pricing policies like this take advantage of those unable to install it themselves - particularly the elderly and disabled.

We knew exactly what we needed even the part number. They claim they had the part and it would be about a $1000 to fix it that evening. They showed up didn't have the part and tried to sell me a new unit what a scam don't use them

Chris has been polite, respectful, and very helpful. I would highly recommend him.

STAY AWAY. Terrible customer service. Whoever answers the phone, probably Curtis himself, is one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. I can't believe he is a business owner and treats people that way. I don't usually write reviews but after such a terrible experience thought I would warn others.

The quality of the work Jacob, from Curtis, performed was excellent. He was polite and obviously knowledgeable. BUT!!! over $2100 for a toilet and a replaced shower faucet is obscene. It only took less than 4 hours to complete the work. You do the math. Please get a second estimate!!!

I called about our heater going Out. Chris was here promptly and kept us from being cold for too long. Good sense of humor and highly professional. Would use again.

The work I recently had completed was by far the most technically competent and with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism by the workers I have ever experienced.

My mother had a new air conditioner unit installed, she was told it would take three to three 1/2 days. These men got the job done in a day in a half. The guys worked extra hard with heat index of 93 outside and 131 in area they had to work to install the unit. They only took one break for about 20 min to eat their lunch. They were extremely friendly and helpful with explaining the new unit to her. With all the worker my mothers have had she said she has never had any better workers and will not go with anyone else!!

I highly recommend Curtis Total Service. We had a clogged drain in our bathroom we could not figure out how to get unclogged. We are new to the area and called Curtis Total Service on a referral. It was a Friday afternoon. Charles took my call and was super over the phone. He took our information and details and said someone would be at our house in the next two hours. Jason and Jacob showed up as Charles said they would. Both of them were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. They were able to get the drain unclogged for us in less than an hour. I am so happy we called this company. We certainly will look to Curtis Total Service in the future if we need help with any other issues in our home that they can help us with.

I needed a copper elbow installed on a water line. I already cut off the old one just needed a new one soldered on. The serviceman was at my house for 45 minutes and charges me 500 dollars for the job. Biggest bunch of crooks I've dealt with in my life.

There are truly remarkable and wonderful people in the world yet, never lose hope. We recently had a basement overflow from the water system and we could not afford a plumber. I called around to various places and was told I had to pay when services were rendered. I ran into a lot of rude customer service people for this problem and was very discouraged. Calling around and explaining my situation and asking for billing is degrading enough in itself. I reached Curtis Total Service and spoke to Rich Price, explaining my situation and out of the kindness of his heart and my situation, he showed compassion for me. Sent his workers out in 30 minutes and everything is wonderful again. Jacob and Scott were very friendly and very informative and did the job in no time. I cannot say enough how compassionate Rich was to me, and how much I appreciate what he did. I was in tears talking to him over the phone, that is how grateful I was that he would work with me on getting my 4 day old problem solved. It's bad enough to sit and listen to rudeness to you over the phone from many many companies in the area and to get such compassion from Rich, I was overwhelmed and so very grateful. They did an excellent job and I am very pleased with the knowledge of this company's employees. I highly recommend Curtis Total Service!

Chris Conte the service tech has been out a couple of times to do maintenance on our HVAC and he's been great.

They were to my house 2 hours after I called in December, 2 days before Christmas fixed what other Service companies couldn t, kept me informed and made recommendation. I will call Curtis Total Service again, I even have plans for them to come back already for other work. After the work was finished I had 2 people call me to ask how my experience was and make sure I am up and running again. Shows they are willing to go the extra mile! They are a little pricy but that does not stop me from calling them again because Curtis Total Service techs seam to be well trained and are very friendly.

We have used Curtis for all our HVAC & plumbing needs excluvisevley since moving into our home. Their technicians are top-notch especially Chris Conte. Their customer service & responsiveness are expectional & have exceeded our expectations with every visit.

Curtis hit at least two vertices of the service triangle: good, fast and cheap. Typically only two of the three vertices are possible to achieve and for my particular situation where I had no water in my house until the job was complete the two most important factors were fast and good. Curtis was able to replace my ruptured water tank within five hours of my initial call and that included having to run to a warehouse for the proper tank. Beyond being fast, the work was done professionally and came with a warranty. I cannot comment on the cost too much because I did not shop around given the urgency of the job, but given the cost of the raw materials the total cost of the job seemed fair. I will continue to call Curtis first for any jobs that they can perform on the infrastructure of my house.

Had my furnace installed early spring 2019 only a few months into the heating season there was an issue with the furnace they came took care of issue at my residence.
they informed me of a unit that they were in possession of an AC unit from a former job that was refused due to a little bit of damage All cosmetic. that they offered in house financing For me at a reasonable monthly cost the air conditioning portion of the HVAC system could install in the next few days.
The installation was complete they will be coming back in April to May to do the final testing due to it being too cold to add to refrigerant at the time Overall a great experience thank you guys

Well, I've depended on Curtis for many years now. I first called them for problems with my water heater. It had already been repaired once or twice by another company and the same issue kept recurring. When I called Curtis, they came out, explained what the problem was and why it was happening, and laid out my options for me. I chose to replace the water heater, and it seemed expensive--especially compared to picking one up at Lowe's. But I had the feeling that's what the builder had done: installed the cheapest unit he could and walk away--not his problem anymore. And you know what? There has never been a problem again from that water heater Curtis put in. The saying goes that you get what you pay for--but I would amend that: you never get what you DON'T pay for. Although Curtis isn't cheap, their work is top-notch.

Of course, there have been problems with other systems in the house--the propane furnace, the AC, and so on. If you live in a house for more than five years, you are going to have maintenance headaches. You are going to need a "go-to" company for those problems, and I would not only recommend Curtis as that company, but I would go further and recommend doing their maintenance agreement. For a small monthly expense, you save yourself the hassle of being nickeled and dimed for diagnosis fees and service calls--and there's a nice discount on all their work, too.

All of my interactions with Curtis have been terrific--especially with the guys who come to the house and do the work. They have never seemed to mind when I have pestered them with questions (and believe me, I ask questions)! I feel like I am in very good hands with Curtis.

Total rip off! Charged me $89 to diagnose my toilet clog. Quoted me an astronomical amount and left with $89 for showing up for 5 minutes. It's almost like they just drive around collecting the $89 fee and once and awhile someone "bites" on their outrageous prices. Call someone else!!

Service guys did not stick around to see if boiler filled up with water. It did not fill with water. Service guys were nice but wish they would have waited 5 minutes to ensure all was okay . One was being trained. As a new homeowner, I will not use this company again which is disappointing because they were nice people.

From start to finish, we couldn t have been more pleased with the A+ service we received from Curtis Total Service! We initially reached out on a weekend because we were having issues with our heat pump and Matt Price quickly returned our call. Matt was readily available to come out on a Saturday to see what issues we were experiencing. After troubleshooting over the phone, we decided to wait until Monday for a regular service appointment. Again, Matt was prompt in arriving Monday morning and quickly determined that our heat pump needed to be replaced. Matt was also able to coordinate an install 2 days later.

I have had a wonderful experience with Curtis! All of the staff including dispatchers were kind caring and knowledgable. I purchased a new system and when I had a small error after returning home from vacation, they came out the same day. The problem got fixed the next day due to it being a weekend night and thermostat was not on truck but, other than that, well done!!! Thank you Curtis for taking care of my family as yours!

Our A/C unit had been on the fritz for over a year. We had another technician come out last year for a service and to give us a price to replace the entire system. Well, it finally died last week. I called Curtis Total Service and they had Matt, their HVAC technician come out the next day. He was very knowledgeable and forthright. We needed a new system and he gave us an estimate on the spot. The estimate was considerably lower than the earlier one we were given, and it included a top of the line system. Since it was the middle of the summer with 90 degree temps, he said he can have his emergency crew out the next business day. I was amazed when 4 service trucks arrived, on time, as promised. Throughout the day, about 8 employees worked non-stop to remove and replace our A/C. And even though it was well over 100 degrees in our attic, there was never one complaint from any of the workers. They were all very kind and answered all of our questions in detail. I will definitely recommend them to my family, friends, and clients in the future!

Had ac unit looked at was very professional at the time had another issue a little over a month and tried to explain whats going on and the service manager was extremely rude and would not let me talk kept cutting me off and one excuse after another. I WILL NEVER OR AT ANYTIME DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN. Unless you like throwing money away for nothing then there your guys. Yes I fully understand my unit is not new and needs work but the lake or care and or compassion for the little guys well thats just in my eyes not someone that I want to deal with. And I'm being respectful and not naming names but you the service ops manager that's for the polite hang up on me. 5 stars in my book.

We currently bought our house 20 months ago, with installed system by curtis. So we decided to continue service with them, which was a excellent move. We had 4 visits for HVAC and pump with same technician Chris. There always on time, never attempt to sale me unnecessary things. He is very tactful and helpful. I work in service industry myself so excellent customer service and work is very important.

$89 just for him to show up on my doorstep and diagnose the problem, and another $99 just for him to crawl under my trailer and turn the main water supply valve on. Maybe that's the going rate, don't know, but it would have been nice if the guy wouldn't have acted all frustrated with me (both tone of voice AND expression) when he had trouble locating the main water supply valve under my home. If you're the plumber, that's YOUR job to figure out where it is, especially when you're telling me you're going to have to charge me that extra $99 just to crawl under there and turn the water back on.

This guy displayed nothing but frustration and impatience and was probably in a hurry because I was his last stop and he needed to get home to his girlfriend - he made a call to her from my deck before he even got started.

Turns out there was no problem, and even though I told him my husband would put the toilet back together when he got home, he ran out to write up an estimate to hand to me anyway, after which he stood there looking at me as if he was expecting me to somehow change my mind and pay another $250-$400 on top of the $188 for him to rebuild the toilet. No thanks.

Those prices are outrageous, and I'm still dumbfounded as to why they would charge an extra $99 just to crawl under a trailer and turn the main water supply valve back on. There was no problem, so the first $89 should have covered all of this - showing up, diagnosing any problems, and turning the main valve on if necessary in order to accomplish this. The only consolation is that they gave me a $40 coupon, so I was only out $148. Still a lot though for the impatience and frustration I had to stand there and watch. In my opinion, they should have paid me.

Chris worked on my hot water heater and he was very professional, explained what he would be doing (to someone who is very clueless about these things!), and honest. I recommended Curtis to anyone who is in need of HVAC services.

Great service, very knowledgeable, showed up quick! I learned a few things from the technician named Matt was very cool!

I had Curtis come and do a new central air, heat pump and ducts. I spent a lot of money. I called back had a new garbage disposal put in and changed the water lines the cost was 781. I am a disabled senior citizen I called back asked to have 3 light switches changed and a gfi outlet for my stove. The total cost was 838 minus a 50 cupon. My husband when he came home hit the roof! I called spoke to the owner Rich after calling other places for pricing to see if he could discount the price. Here s what I was told. That I should of paid more money than the 788 for the switches and outlet. Others that I called after the fact, my mistake, where about a quarter of the price naming the companies that I called. I was insulted by Rich when questioning why the difference in pricing. I was told cause everything of his was better and the others licenses and insurance where inferior to his and his over head. If his over head is that costly then he should look within his company to make changes I was hoping to be able to continue doing business with Curtis but without a discount I cannt afford his overhead and his people s license are no different then anyone else s in his field, I will be taking my business elsewhere. When Rich response to this. I was also a gold member and that s the gold members quote hence as I implied at the beginning I was told I should of paid more. Advice from me check into others before signing your name to Curtis you will recieve good service as you should but you ll be paying for his overhead not the service. Rich you told me I don t know how to run a business, theres one thing I do know is that I would have never let someone who has been calling back with more business who has already spent in excess of 15000 dollars in the past two months who has another 30000 in business to be done walk away for a couple hundred dollars. I am happy for you that you are wealthy enough to do this. So much for customer appreciation and value. By the way my check will be good the only thing not good is the price for the simplest thing you can do in your field.

This next bit was posted a couple weeks after the above.
Before doing the switches I asked as I am a disable senior on ssi to hold my check until the first of the month or I cannot have the work done. Jason who was the technician said they would so I okd it. The check was put in two weeks earlier just after I posted the above. So if they tell you they will hold your check. They will not. My check was good they got paid he cannot say a bad word about me. Now they are still under contract to service my unit so we will see wether it will be breached or not

If anyone is getting a new unit for heat and air. When it was presented to me it was presented in two charges one was the air the other a heat pump. I thought I was getting a bargain when I told them I couldn t afford to add the heat and they included it in the price of the air. Turns out they couldn t sell one with out the other cause it s one unit. Called a heat transfer unit. Imagine my surprise!

Late yesterday I had another company come and switch out 10 light switches. I paid 120 on material 50 for travel time and 105 for an hour worth of labor a total of 275. They didn t have fancy trucks or signs for your yard but they were quick clean and very polite licensed and insured.

Curtis came out and fixed the plumbing issue in the kitchen. Working great!

The service was quick is the only good thing I can say. The plumber was rude to me and made a stressful situation worse.Yelled at me in my own home I would highly recommend not using this company!!!

Scam artists. I had them in my house twice and both times they show up for a 59$ cleaning fee, and then tell you it has mold or carbon monoxide and try to sell you a 12,000$ unit. I fell for it once. Threw the guy out the second time. Use someone else.

Jason installed an Airscrubber in our HVAC unit. It works just as he described. I no longer wake up with headaches and my allergies are no more in my home.

Beware of positive reviews, they provide great service ...IF YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY 10X MORE! They go by something called book pricing versus an hourly rate meaning that for a job that takes less than 1 1/2 hours (unhooking a faucet and garbage disposal, then coming back to hook up a faucet and garbage disposal) you will pay over $700. This was what we were charged after speaking to someone over the phone that said this same job would cost less than $200.

My technician Matt was on time even slightly early and he called ahead of time. He was nice efficient and my central ac unit tune up/cleaning was done within an hour and with a cost efficient wonderful coupon. Thank you!

My experience with Curtis Total Service has been nothing but positive. I had an air conditioning and plumbing issue that needed immediate attention. Rich, the Operations Manager, responded to my calls, worked through possible solutions, provided an estimate, and had the air conditioning unit installed, as requested, the next day. The plumbing issue was resolved the same day and within two hours of my call to Curtis.

Rich, the ladies who answer the telephone at Curtis, and the workmen who visited ( two plumbers and one craftsman for the air conditioning unit) were respectful, courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to and work with throughout the process.

We had an emergency repair of our water heater. Very pleased with the professional and prompt service. The new water heater was installed the following day by 1 PM. Not giving 5 stars due to the high cost of the water heater. I thought it should have been a few hundred dollars less. Curtis is known to be pricey compared to others.

Beware of price gouging with prices 2-to-3 times higher than average fair market values of other electricians!! Do yourself a huge favor for electrical needs: call any number of reputable, independent licensed electricians before you call Curtis.
We used Curtis Total Service to replace an outdoor electrical outlet with a GFCi outlet to meet inspection standards for the sale of our home in Allentown (we were in a bit of a hurry to get the work done). Prior to the service visit, Curtis would not give any ballpark estimate of the project cost by phone (even though Curtis admits to having "flat rates" for projects). Upon arrival (which involves a sunk cost of $85 for the service visit) the service man quoted $850 for a GFCi replacement. We were astonished, but we assumed that Curtis was charging fair-market prices, so we (stupidly) paid for the work. Shortly after, both an Allentown City inspector and a separate commercially licensed electrician each independently said we had overpaid for that work by a margin of 2-3 times. We called Curtis to report the possibility of a pricing error. A manager returned our call, and dismissed our complaint, saying that it was "your job as a consumer" to shop prices up front (though the only way to get his price "quote" is through an $85 visit). He also claimed that we shouldn't compare his prices to "small independent contractors" since "they only have one truck" and don't have the large corporate expenses of Curtis. He essentially acknowledged that his higher prices reflect the overhead of his larger company. We said we felt that we shouldn't be paying for his overhead, versus the much lower prices of his leaner competitors - i.e., that his company should offer competitive pricing to consumers, or at least be upfront about his higher pricing. He countered that that would amount to "collusion" (an absurd argument since collusion obviously refers to price fixing at higher prices, not competitively meeting lower market prices, which is done all the time!). He dismissed our argument for transparent and fair-market pricing by telling us we were "making no sense at all and can't even make one valid point." He said he didn't want to "waste time explaining how business works" to us. He used an analogy which claimed that bigger companies in every profession charge more because they offer more services. He used the example of an auto repair shop charging more because they offer a courtesy shuttle service (which, of course, is a ridiculous example since replacing a simple GFCi outlet is a universal service which requires no such extra variables). He dismissed our pricing complaint with an insult and an abrupt end to our phone call. His position was essentially, Hey, you signed for and paid for the work as priced - tough luck.
Do yourself a favor and save yourself from bloated prices - call other electricians before Curtis.

First off, I am a contractor footing the bill for a customer who had a damaged oil line.

Curtis Total Service's Rep Matt charged us $1,060 to replace 25' of oil line. Oil Line!!!!!!!!!! Was it made out of copper or gold? Service fee of $89, Inspection Fee of $115(would have thought that was included in the service but it is what it is) and a whopping $856 material cost for 25 feet of oil line.

We used Deiter Brothers out of Northampton on a previous project a month ago who had to use a specially coated fuel line because it was actually going underneath the concrete. The line installed by Curtis was not going under the concrete.

25' of Envirotube oil line, flarenuts and adapters, service and tax $429.00 from Deiter Brothers.
$1060 for 10 minutes worth of work.
Thank you Curtis, what a rip off.

Chris did a great job and went above and beyond to get my system running even better than before

I woke up this morning to my vents blowing warm air in the middle of summer. Needless to say, my day started off on a terrible note! All that changed once I called Curtis Total Secive. My technician, Matt, promptly arrived at my home and took care of the issue in no time. Sure it was fast, anyone can do that, but what really impressed me was the service and knowledge. I ask alot of questions, it's annoying. They answered everything beyond my satisfaction, took the time to explain the issue and what he was going to do to fix it. Anyone in Google can fix the issue, but I doubt most of them can give you an indepth analysis of your current system, common issues and even provide tips to make it last longer. And now that I know they basically do everything, I dont need another repair company!!

Had a new external faucet bib installed in a strange location. Being handy myself, I estimated the job at 2 hours or less, which gave me a ballpark idea of cost. Curtis came out and their tech plugged the data into his system and came up with a number which was way beyond reason, which I questioned. Something with the estimating software was foolish. They then sent out a supervisor at no charge who could make a manual estimate, he rewrote the job at a reasonable rate, and the tech completed the install a couple days later. I've always had great courtesy service from them. Every time they are out they find something interesting that I hadn't noticed which I am very grateful for. I will continue to use them for my plumbing needs.
