I had Curtis come and do a new central air, heat pump and ducts. I spent a lot of money. I called back had a new garbage disposal put in and changed the water lines the cost was 781. I am a disabled senior citizen I called back asked to have 3 light switches changed and a gfi outlet for my stove. The total cost was 838 minus a 50 cupon. My husband when he came home hit the roof! I called spoke to the owner Rich after calling other places for pricing to see if he could discount the price. Here s what I was told. That I should of paid more money than the 788 for the switches and outlet. Others that I called after the fact, my mistake, where about a quarter of the price naming the companies that I called. I was insulted by Rich when questioning why the difference in pricing. I was told cause everything of his was better and the others licenses and insurance where inferior to his and his over head. If his over head is that costly then he should look within his company to make changes I was hoping to be able to continue doing business with Curtis but without a discount I cannt afford his overhead and his people s license are no different then anyone else s in his field, I will be taking my business elsewhere. When Rich response to this. I was also a gold member and that s the gold members quote hence as I implied at the beginning I was told I should of paid more. Advice from me check into others before signing your name to Curtis you will recieve good service as you should but you ll be paying for his overhead not the service. Rich you told me I don t know how to run a business, theres one thing I do know is that I would have never let someone who has been calling back with more business who has already spent in excess of 15000 dollars in the past two months who has another 30000 in business to be done walk away for a couple hundred dollars. I am happy for you that you are wealthy enough to do this. So much for customer appreciation and value. By the way my check will be good the only thing not good is the price for the simplest thing you can do in your field.

This next bit was posted a couple weeks after the above.
Before doing the switches I asked as I am a disable senior on ssi to hold my check until the first of the month or I cannot have the work done. Jason who was the technician said they would so I okd it. The check was put in two weeks earlier just after I posted the above. So if they tell you they will hold your check. They will not. My check was good they got paid he cannot say a bad word about me. Now they are still under contract to service my unit so we will see wether it will be breached or not

If anyone is getting a new unit for heat and air. When it was presented to me it was presented in two charges one was the air the other a heat pump. I thought I was getting a bargain when I told them I couldn t afford to add the heat and they included it in the price of the air. Turns out they couldn t sell one with out the other cause it s one unit. Called a heat transfer unit. Imagine my surprise!

Late yesterday I had another company come and switch out 10 light switches. I paid 120 on material 50 for travel time and 105 for an hour worth of labor a total of 275. They didn t have fancy trucks or signs for your yard but they were quick clean and very polite licensed and insured.
