I purchased a US Water System for my home after submitting required water testing results required to custom fit our needs. I was assured in writing and on many phone calls our water issues would be resolved with this system. I hired professional installers not trusting ourselves despite their claim it s easy diy for homeowners because I wanted everything to go perfectly. I trusted the system would do as the sales man promised and resolve our water issues so I replace my homes 4 baths toilets and hardware. The system did nothing, remove no iron or tannins and I was left with severe staining and all brand new fixtures. The company refused to return the product even after I did further testing in with patient for a resolution.

The products seem great and easy to install but, unfortunately their customer service is way below mediocre. First of all, it took them more than 2 weeks to process my order and, when there was issues with backorders, they didn't even notify me nor did they send me tracking information once everything shipped. I had to call repeatedly just to get an update.
When my order did arrive the packaging was so poor that some fittings and tubing were completely shattered! Furthermore, parts were missing so I couldn't even assemble everything. I called twice to get the missing parts shipped and nothing happened! The third time I called I asked that they overnight the parts and they waited 2 days to ship them out.
UPDATE 12/2014 -
THE MANAGER OF CUSTOMER SERVICE CONTACTED ME AND MADE SURE EVERYTHING WITH MY ORDER WAS RESOLVED AND COMPENSATED ME FOR THE ISSUES AND MY SPENT TIME. I WAS VERY HAPPY AND THANKFUL FOR THEIR RESPONSE. AFTER INSTALLING MY WATER SOFTENER AND RO SYSTEM AND USING THEM FOR 2 MONTHS, I CAN HONESTLY SAY THESE PRODUCTS ARE AMAZING AND THE WATER QUALITY IS SECOND TO NONE! GREAT PRODUCTS THAT PRODUCE GREAT WATER FOR MY WHOLE HOUSE AND ARE EASY TO INSTALL!!! THANKS FOR THE HELP AND THANKS FOR RESOLVING THE ISSUES WITH MY ORDER!
The initial set of equipment for our new business came in severely damaged. The replacement was reasonably smooth, but the assembly of that second set not so much. Myself, an Engineer, plus a Licensed Plumber and a General Contractor could not follow the manual at all - it left us completely clueless. After a long phone conversation we discovered that It may or may not be a mislabeled RO filter, but what the heck, it's just our livelihood at stake now. We may have to send this mess back and try someone else.
When I purchased my new water softener 4+yrs ago from US Water Systems, I was told they they had great customer service which helped me order a hardware part like this via the internet. Everything arrived as promised and we had a local plumber install it (but I think I could have done it myself and far cheaper). Skip ahead 4+yrs - and my softener stopped working. We called the local plumber which again was $$$ but all they did was tell me that I need a new one or call the MFR. I called US Water Systems and Aaron Birkley from Tech Support was amazing. Not only did diagnose the issue within the first 5 minutes.. he then walked me through taking apart a few things and eventually shipping the controller back to US Water systems. Aaron received the part, fixed it and sent it back in a day (over the holidays too). He then very patiently walked me back through putting it back together and checking the settings. Its working perfectly!!! And.. at NO charge (other than shipping). I am out hundreds of dollars on plumbers who told me to replace it while US Water Systems amazing technical support (and over all product support) was the easiest, cheapest, and best solution. I am glad I listened to my friend 4 years ago telling me to get my water softener from US Water systems. I don't think I will go any where else in the future. Anyone can "sell" stuff.. but to support it like Aaron did for me.. is a rare thing these days. Highly recommend US Water systems.
Now serving clean, safe and totally clear water throughout my house for the very first time thanks entirely to US Water Systems. I've experienced many different water treatment products and companies over the years, and US WATER SYSTEMS is the BEST of the BEST! Extremely well made products and great customer support. If you want to experience water as it was intended, get a whole house water purification system from US Water Systems. Backed by science, not BS... and you'll notice the quality of the parts immediately. Entirely made in the USA!!!
I have been working with Aaron Birkey of Tech Support to set up my water system. Mr. Birkey have been genuine in his concern that I am satisfied with my water softner, is very knowledgeable and polite. He's has followed up with me via email and phone contact. He a credit to your company.
I am a 100% service connected disabled combat veteran of the Vietnam Era and everyone @ US Water Systems has gone out of their way to help me from sales, service and management. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to do business with a company that backs it products.
US Water Systems is conducting business is a way that spells success and growth.
I have a Reverse Osmosis system that worked fine for a year and stopped working. I was told it probably needed a filter. I bought the filter pack and it still didn't work so I was told it may be the pump. I bought a new pump and it still didn't work. I had to send it back and have it tested. I was charged labor and part of the shipping costs during the process. I spent enough to buy a new system and ended up figuring it out myself. The whole ordeal took over a month because of shipping and their suggestions were do this and call back later. There wasn't any follow up and no one took responsibility for their product. I definitely will not purchase from US Water Systems or recommend them to anyone.
I contacted them to test a water sample from my home well, ordered the kit, and I collected the sample and sent it in per the instructions. When the results came back I was shocked to see that the results were very high arsenic levels of 41 ppb that exceeds the MCL, which is incredibly high. Fortunately, I had another water test done and found I had no arsenic troubles at all, in fact my arsenic levels were so low that it was readable. So it sure looks like someone was trying to sell me an expensive system that I don t need!
The test was done by your LAB...not by an outside 3rd party Source ...but nice try.
Awful service. Not recommended. I asked about their iron filters and was given an evasive, almost rude answer. I wanted to know if their Filox media was "cut down" with other iron filtering products, such as Greensand Plus or Birm. They responded as if I was asking some invasive, inappropriate question. You're a water treatment company that sells to end-users! I ended up buying from a different company, one that seemed to care. And yes, I also think its strange how a positive review accompanies a negative one. UPDATE (4/22/12): I'd like to respond to the owner here who tried to discount me as "confused" or a "competitor." Look, I asked the CSR if, in a 2.0 cu. ft. iron filter installation, would I receive approximately 2.0 cu. ft. of Filox, or say .5 cu. ft. of Filox with 1.5 cu. ft. of other products, such as Greensand Plus or Birm (essentially, a "blend" of other products). Secondly, I asked if the Filox media itself was a conglomerate (or blend) of various standalone products to make it their media of choice. All I wanted to know was what I was potentially buying, and nothing seemed too exciting about the questions. The CSR simply got very defensive and I was surprised to have that experience. And now, instead of trying to reach out and make things right, you try to discount me as a competitor or confused customer. Nice tact.
The filter set for my reverse osmosis system (greenhouse application) was reasonably priced and arrive very quickly. Everything was included to make the filter change painless.
We have a reverse osmosis system that we purchased locally and now there is nobody in town who has the franchise. We needed filters for it and I found US Water Systems online. Nick answered the phone and was very helpful! I have had to call several times and each time he was VERY patient with my questions about how to install the new filters. My purchase was only $39 yet he treated me like I had purchased our system from them!!! I would highly recommend getting it touch with them for a new system or any maintenance items you may need. Thanks again, Nick!!!!!
Horrible customer service. I ordered 2 day shipping and didn't arrive for about a week. I called to just maybe get a refund on the difference between standard and express shipping. Nothing but rude service people and non-stop excuses. NEVER do business with this company!
I am so happy with this system. We have a well with arsenic levels a little high ad decided to order from US Water Systems the 5 stage RO and it came within 3 business days and was easy to install. I was a little hesitant that the system would not have sufficient pressure for our fridge water and ice maker but they assured me with the permeate pump it would. They were right! Crystal clear ice cubes andwater from the fridge that is pure and tastes great. I had a few questions in the process and Aaron the the other reps were very responsive and knowledgable and I would recommend this system to anyone!
I called to inquire about some granular chlorine for well sanitation. Denise took care of it and held it up front for me at their World HQ in Indianapolis. Thanks for great service and a great price on the product!
Order states 4-9 days for shipping but my last order took over a month and was only shipped after persistent emails to customer service. I thought this was a fluke so I tried again but had the same results. They are more than happy to charge you at time of purchase but don't expect any delivery unless you constantly call/email customer service and wait at least a month.
Worst customer service and shipping I have ever experienced! I purchased several items on May 1st still have not arrived on May 13th. I live 300 miles from the factory. Should take no more than 5 days for it to arrive. They re answer wax next time pay for faster shipping. That is some BS!
I am not a water expert, or plumber, or handyman... I'm just a 21 year old guy who likes good tasting water. I had a fabulous experience with my reverse osmosis system. I installed it myself under a kitchen sink using only the provided parts & instructional video. I am very happy with the water quality and the easiness with which it was assembled. We have had no trouble since installing the unit, which was over 45 days ago and now I'm addicted to RO water. We use it in coffee, tea, cooking, and ice.
Where to begin? - So I bought my house in 2011 and it was the first time i have ever dealt with well water. After wasting $1,200 with a local water softening company (who tried to get more money) i called up US water systems. US water systems helped me by getting me a complete whole house RO unit and my water quality went from SALTY, CORROSIVE, 3,300 ++ TDS down to 190 - 210 TDS!!! It is the best investment i have made for this house. Even 3 years later Charlie still helps me out over the phone when i have questions and i can even call the manufacturer when it needs to go further. These guys have been great in my experience but it also helps that i read the manuals and know how to operate my system.
I bought a huge system.from them 9 years ago for my vacation rental and home and have been very pleased with their service , equipment and nice service people. I order maintenance.products every few months and get delivery.promptly.
New membrane and housing shipped fast, but that's where the good stops. I added a membrane to my system to increase production. Within 3 months the new membrane was clogged to less than 1/3 gal minute. My existing membrane (had for 1 year) is still flowing over 1.5gpm. So I called and asked the warranty. And I was told I would receive a email because they would have to "test" it to warranty it. Haven't received any email or follow up!
Good products and product support. I've bought two systems from them and done a warranty return as well that was handled professionally. However that said: Shipping is slow, placed order on Monday around noon, 54 hours later it's finally shipped. Shipping can be expensive with a 9.99 flat rate for standard shipping. I'll be checking Amazon next time I need replacement filters as they would be arriving in a couple of more hours and likely have free shipping.
When we moved into our new home we had a rental softener installed by another company and it was OK but it seemed to break a lot. A friend mentioned I should talk to Mark at US Waters so I did. I never realized just how much goes into making good water but Mark did and he took the time to explain the process and even explained way the rental unit worked by bringing out a teardown of one and then showing the unit we now have installed.
We have had our US Waters Softener and R/O unit for 6 or 7 years now and I've had one minor issue with the softener when something on the incoming supply plugged it I think? Honestly they fixed it the same day, I didn't pay a lot of attention. ;-) The only time I see their guys is for filter changes on the R/O.
Aboslutly horrible customer service. Ordered a product on Wedsnesday and paid for 2 day expedited shipping. When the order finally shipped was told the order wouldn't be here to at least Monday. Asked for refund on the 2day express and would just take the normal shipping. I was told you're SOL it's on the way, You can send it back but will still have to pay shipping. Mark Timmons- CEO should be ashamed, I will never do business with this company again. Horrible.
I purchased a Reverse Osmosis water system just before Christmas 2013. The system showed up as expected and on time. After watching one of their how to Youtube videos I was up and running in no time. The water tastes great and its very comforting knowing that my family is drinking pure water and none of the nasty chemicals commonly found in water. I did have a problem with my TDS readings slowly creeping up a couple of months after the install. I worked with Aaron via phone and email, he helped me do some trouble shooting and we were able to determine that a faulty membrane was the cause. 2 days later I had a new membrane and my TDS readings were back below 20.
I will continue to do business with US Water Systems. Their product is solid and customer service is great. I even noticed that Aaron was emailing me at 11:00 at night to answer my questions. You can t beat that!
My house is near the base of the local water tower and results in wonderfully high water pressure (just over 100 psi).
After installing a GE Reverse Osmosis system in the kitchen, I installed a pressure regulator on the house to bring it down to under (80 psi). Both per the manufacturer's instructions and due to the "push in" tubes of the system popping out at the faucet.
However, I quickly became longing for my water pressure at all other fixtures, like Kramer in Seinfeld.
After hard searching, this was the only "in-line" regulator I could find. The 1/4 push in style connector was perfect for my RO system and installed with no issue. It allowed me to crank up the household pressure without harming the RO system. It was an easy installation and the product comes in a variety of pressure output levels to suite everyone's needs. I chose the 70 psi model. Well worth the cost.
Ordered a water filter. It has been in processing for 2 weeks. Still not shipped. I think they are using a third party which has a I'll ship it when I get around to it attitude. They pride themselves on over 200 years of experience. Maybe they need to channel this experience into their shipping group. To be an online retailer shipping has to be quick. People are not going to wait a month for there product.
Everything about this purchase (a Galaxy RO system) was great. I was shopping for a system to replace one I had bought from another company several years ago. I wanted to install something from a US manufacturer with good customer service/tech support. I happened to find this company through their installation YouTube when I was desperately trying to figure out how to get my old system to work. I looked up their number and called them. The customer support was great from the beginning and I ordered a system right away. Since I am going out of town I told them I needed to receive the system either before I left or after I got back and two days later the system was on my doorstep. I did have a plumber install it, I am just not handy at all, and at one point he had a question so we called tech support. They were right there on the line in a jiffy and they helped us through it. Everybody at this company is so friendly and nice and the product itself seems extremely well built and solid and the prices were extremely competitive. I wish I had found this company before but better late than never as the saying goes. They are on EST so that is helpful too in terms of tech support, at least for me in Ohio, since some of the other companies I had shopped are in other time zones. The weird thing is that when I was shopping for RO systems this company didn't pop up on Google so I don't know what's up with that. If it hadn't been for their installation YouTube I would never have found them and I'm so glad I did!
I have yet to install my new system, but if it performs as wonderfully as the support I received from Aaron and Derek on making my purchase decision, my 5 star rating will stand. They were very patient and thorough in answering my laundry list of questions and took great pride in sharing their insights from years of experience making my confidence in my purchase decision very grounded and sound. When the incorrect valve assembly was shipped and a couple parts missing, Aaron was quick to respond to get the right items coming by way via FedX. He even was kind enough to help me design a bypass for the system as the new valve/meter no longer had a bypass. I can't wait to see my new 1" twin tank Fleck system up and running!
The price of the soft water system I was considering was quite competitive. The warranty impressed even my plumber! When I asked questions about the equipment, Caleb, the sales rep, answered my questions thoroughly. No high-pressure sales from this team. I truly appreciated the customer service. The entire team at US Water Systems went the extra mile to make sure my plumber had everything he needed for the job. Thank you!
I had a well system with sulphur smell and I got an inline pellet chlorinator. Bought my pellets from US Water Systems online. Shipment came quick, pellets work great and I'm looking at buying some more stuff from these guys. I also referred them to one of my customers that bought a home wind and solar energy system from me.
I got the water pellets for my sulfur smelling water. They work great. Reasonably priced, should last a long time and the company got it to me quick. Big thumbs up. Thank you!!
Takes forever for your order to arrive. Expect to wait a solid two weeks from the date you order. So I finally get my order and it's messed up. I call them tell how they messed up they agree and promise to send out the proper filter that I ordered. I wait two more weeks and nothing. I called them back and they now want me to break down my reverse osmosis system so that I can take pictures of the wrong filters that they sent me so that I can wait another two weeks
I feel I am a more than adequate person for reviewing this product. I did my required web research on the various suppliers of water systems out there. I found that the products that USW were providing fit my requirements of pricing and product quality. Having spent my early years as a plumber, I knew that I would most likely be able to install this system myself. I ordered a Fusion NLT for my home in NH with well. This was replacing a Haque 20 year old system that never really got much service. The USW unit went in without a hitch. It's really quite easy for the mechanically inclined. I thought the unit was great after a few months of great service that I bought another unit (Fusion NLT Hybrid) for my retirement home in GA that is on municipal water. I waited to write this until after I installed it and used it while I was there. Great tasting water. If you are trying to avoid the high pressure sales of the name brands and can get this installed yourself....go US Water. Great team of people, great product, great installation help, great website.
It s really awesome to see a US based company of any form really stepping up to support not just their products, but the customer as well. I feel it s about the equivalence of buying a Gulfstream business jet and receiving first class customer support from a multi billion dollar corporation. I purchased a matrix backwashing water filter control valve, gravel underbedding and catalytic active carbon to rebuild my current water filter as well as a full matrix water softener setup. Awesome prices, really!! I have to say I did a lot of reading about this company before I decided to purchase more water treatment equipment because I got burned bad by a door to door water filtration sales company called Island Services here in the south east. Really a fly by night company, just could not get any support or contact of any kind. Had major problems with that equipment within the first two years. Read nothing but great things, plus their financials looked great and they seemed to have been in business quite a while, so I decided they were the ones. Got the equipment through one of the salesman over the phone who helped me figure out what equipment would best suit my application, what a wonderful experience. Installed it myself. Had a few things missing from the order as well as questions about the softener resin during the installation, which customer service took care of immediately. Really liked the equipment for the first week then started having problems with accessing both the filter and softener via Bluetooth. Customer support has been wonderful in correcting and helping me to troubleshoot the issues. They are sending me parts as of this writing to correct my Bluetooth issue for good. I mean come on, Bluetooth??!!?? Not really an issue but they are treating it as a major equipment issue and working to resolve it as quickly as possible. I ve owned this equipment now for two weeks. Can t wait to own it another 10+ years. Thank you US Water Systems!!
We found that the selection process for RO units is a minefield. Most impartial reviews identify the same units/companies that appear to match a fairly well defined set of consumer/buyer criteria. The US Water unit is not evaluated?? The criteria include acceptable quality, function well, easy to install, and are reasonably priced. The technical data for the systems rarely address where the unit is made only where it may have been assembled (In the US usually of Chinese or Taiwanese parts), little or no information about use of proprietary filters, and the guarantee is usually 1 year although some say 3 years.
So you read through the significant complaints or weak points for these units and comments include: leaky filter assemblies due to cracks, broken plastic valves or fittings, or they waste too much water. You will read in some of the reviews that the units should provide good service for 2-3 years when you can then buy another unit....really?
Ok so we purchased US Water because it has a history of great reviews. Dealing with the representative was easy and straightforward. He answered all my questions and then some. This unit did not appear to be sold on Amazon although some other retail outlets may handle some of their products. The source of the great reviews are that they have an all US manufactured unit albeit with quality fittings from a UK manufacturer based in the US.
We wanted to spend the money at home not in China and have that reflected in quality and years of service. Also we wanted a system that could receive industry standard filters and components. So we will see how the shipping and installation go forward and will review the unit operation when operable. Like many purchasers we only have the information that is available on line and depend on company integrity, customer reviews and impartial commercial ratings to make a sound decision. If there is any wrong or misinformation in the decision chain then our choice may not be the best one.
So I installed the system on April 23 after some minor difficulty mounting the extra microbe filter and mineralization unit. I installed it in the garage near the garage sink and clothes washer. Most of the hoses were adequate to reach the municipal water source and sink for used water disposal or further use. We will use the disposed water for washing clothes and watering plant.
After going through the recommended sanitation and rinsing/flushing process I filled a gallon jug with processed water and measured the amount of disposed water to determine the real ratio of clean water to that used for processing. The first two gallons of processed water was white and cloudy. The dissolved solids indicated by the TDS indicator was 30ppm. Our Crystal Geyser bottled water was 75ppm and the tap water was 225ppm. The disposed water from the system registered 230ppm.
The interesting result from the system was that one gallon of processed water used almost 3 (three) and (1/2) one half gallons not the (1) one gallon advertised by the company literature. Is this claim an exaggeration, a misrepresentation, or a system malfunction?? I will be in touch with the company to determine why this system is not functioning as advertised. In general the unit appears well made and designed. I did install a saddle to support the filter assembly as it only has 2 screws to suspend the assembly. In the Arizona heat plastic and all else degrades quickly so the extra support will be helpful. At this point it is difficult to determine if the money spent was a wise investment!
April 27 and the company is quick to provide technical support and address any request for needed parts. I gave the system 2 stars due to the false advertising claim that you will get 1 gallon of processed water at a price of 1 gallon of used water. The reality is 1 gallon to 3 gallons under ideal conditions. For those users who are buying this unit in order to minimize their overall waste or carbon footprint...you will have to live with reusing or wasting all that precious water!!
I usually don't write a post like this but when my filters are more than one month late without a phone call or a email, I get a little angry. Plus I hate when I get the runaround and I got it twice. They offered to compensate by about $30 so that means the loss of water pressure, any contaminants that came into my house by bypassing the filters and any other issues that I do not think of are worth $30. I don't think they are a bad company but I think they are poorly managed or recently replaced management with worst management. I've decided to buy filters from the big companies now instead of my from the small company who I would usually support more. My other experiences with them were good within the past two years but this one is the one that broke the camel's back.
I bought a water softener and a reverse osmosis system 4 years ago. I love it. SinceI live in Indianapolis, they installed it. My installer was great. I have had no issues and only great soft water. You will be a water snob after having these installed in your home. I recently bought a 2nd 5 stage reverse osmosis to go under my kitchen sink. Since my house is on a slab and my kitchen sink is in an island I needed a 2nd system. I installed this one myself. It was very easy to do. It only took about 30 mins from start to finish. I was impressed with my DIY skills.
In shopping for a water softener, I found the higher quality units from local companies were not only far overpriced but it was also difficult to get specific information to determine what advantages one system has over another. The company who sold the most expensive unit simply stated that they build locally for our local conditions. Internet shopping was more positive and the response I got from the different companies made it easy to determine which company was most likely to give a better response for future needs.
US Water representatives were very helpful both over the phone and when using Internet chat. The only problem was confusion regarding which brand of valves could be ordered on the Matrixx. I would have rated this purchase as 5 stars if I could have gotten better information on the valve and head used vs another available on a different model.
The "sale" price was good and I received the softener within the time period quoted. I was a little surprised that there was a little more assembly required than I had expected although that proved to be a positive experience and I better understand the workings of the softener. Assembly and installation was very simple using only the supplied instruction sheets (manual). Programming was very easy although I do not require extremely specialized settings. The unit started up and ran perfectly from the start.
Bottom line: US Water was easy and pleasant to work with in determining which softener was best for me. Price was very good (sale price). Shipping was as promised. Installation was a snap and the unit works very well. I am very satisfied with the customer service provided and the unit I purchased. I would highly recommend US Water and their Matrixx system.
Update: 6+ years later and built a new home. Wish I could have used US Water again but had to go with the contractor choice. My new system is ALMOST as good as US Water at TWICE the cost.
Bought a 4.o cu/ft meter controlled 9000 sxt electronic water softener. Knowledgeable and courteous people. The system was delivered in just 3 days. Great experience.
I am a general contractor and have purchased from US Water Systems for my business and personal use. I cannot rate them high enough they are an absolute 10 stars. Their staff is courteous and very knowledgeable. I have tried other companies for water filtration systems only to discover that I paid a higher price and there was no after the sale support. Their technical department is awesome. Aaron and Seth are great to work with. Nathan in phone sales is very courteous and helpful. If you are looking for a water filtration system, they do it all, from under the sink system to very large industrial systems. And they are proud to be all US made. Keep up the good work. I cannot praise and thank you enough.
This review is for the purchase process. I have not been able to see and review the equipment since I just purchased yesterday. I had reviewed 3 major water treatment companies for residential. What sold me on US Water Systems? MY sales contact Bill, well spoken, confident in his knowledge of his products. My career in refining and ethanol has exposed me to a lot of water uses and compliance's. Bill was able to discuss his products with a lot of technical detail also. I will update this review after my review of the correctness of the order, and the quality. Beware of your expectations for quality of Chat or phone calls on Saturdays, I was disconnected from 2 calls and the chat person was obviously distracted. The chat answers were incomplete compared to the calls I had with my sales guy (Bill) The answers I got from Bill were very much like the training and answers I got from Industrial Vendors in the refining and ethanol sites I worked. So far I was very impressed for this part of the process. I will update this comment or write another after the product is delivered.
Greatest Service I had a culligan system for 9 years and have always had low water pressure. After researching different systems I came across US Water Systems. I worked with Tim who listened to all of my concerns with my current system and taught me the difference between size of systems and how they work. His pricing was incredible (actually 65% less than all competitors) and the warranty was solid so I ordered the unit at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday. Amazingly my system showed up on Friday. I put it in on Saturday and it was fairly simple. I had to call tech support( who answered the phone on the second ring and solved my problem in 5 minutes) and I was good to go. I couldn t be happier with the whole experience. Tim was amazing, the tech support was incredible and fulfillment was out of this world. I am a customer for life.
worst company I've ever dealt with; order never showed up; called them 8 times over 3 weeks; nobody had a clue when the order would be delivered (6 people). their manufacturer in Canada might have it out by nest week but could be by Christmas (it is currently July). I'll be lucky to get my money back; may have to take them to small claims court
Don't know how their product is because I'm now waiting on a third shipment from them so that I can have it installed. I have had to stay home to sign for each shipment and the third part hasn't even been shipped yet. I hope this thing lasts forever because I don't want to deal with them any more.
Very knowledgeable and helpful! I have called twice to get information about RO and DI filters for my home business, and both times I quickly got a support rep (I was speaking with their COMMERCIAL support reps) who gave me great and honest information. I say honest, because I was somewhat knowledgeable before I called (so I would know if they were trying to deceive me) and because they were not trying to sell me more expensive or unnecessary equipment, like some of the local water service companies (although my local companies were also very nice and helpful, they just don't seem to be quite as knowledgeable). All I would say is that it helps to know your stuff before you speak to the reps at US Water Systems, or just be patient as you learn and try to figure things out, because you might get lost, overwhelmed, or not provide them with the necessary information, if you are new to water purification. Enjoy the process!
Bought a Matrixx system, including the filter, sized for our rural home. Replaced a C------n system, whose new model would have required re-plumbing anyway. The old C---n system had worked for 32 years, having to twice replace plastic gears cannibalized from carcasses in their junkpile, so I have no complaint with them, just that the new model was almost $900 more than the Matrixx, and actually more system than I needed. Also, one other local competitor was still $500 more, including the cost of re-plumbing materials. I was able to install the system using my existing skills, their VERY GOOD VIDEOS, and flex couplings from Home Depot. The only problem, and minor at that, was with the flex fittings threaded into their filter housing - had to use a LOT of joint tape and add a second and third smaller wrap in order to get a good seal - can't "fill" enough with one wrap without leaking. Also a minor omission on the brine tank hose - they drop and don't mention the small ferrule, which is inside the fitting, so shouldn't be a problem if you're careful. The system shipped VERY rapidly, and was to Virginia in three days via UPS. Only complaint was with the box containing the resin. When it was dropped, somewhere enroute, the weight of the resin split the poly bag, but fortunately, almost all the resin was contained within the carton, only leaking a little bit out. They need to doublebag it or otherwise pack more soundly. It might also be helpful, when appropriate, to include a label which clarifies whether or not one's system uses gravel as well as resin (ours did not). So far, we are getting excellent water (we have a deep jet well and approx. 8.5 grains hardness, plus a little iron-sulphur smell.) Our brine tank is in basement with its bottom approximately 11ft below the "head", but it appears to be 'drawing' brine, as reassured by one of their customer reps before I purchased the system. The system is fairly easy to program, if you follow the video carefully. The only more obscure piece is on Level Two demand cycling, which is found later in one of the vids other than the initial setup - you just have to look for it. We also included the resin treatment add-on kit for the brine tank and a large reserve supply of solution, hoping that will extend the life of the resin and significantly postpone any need to replace the resin, down the line. IN CONCLUSION: A reasonably-priced system when it was on sale, and can be installed by anyone with basic tools and mechanical skills. We'll have to re-post if the system does not have a good lifetime.
I bought a pump on May 12, 2020 for my RO system thinking my pressure was low in the house. I called customer service and asked them about the pump and pressure switch. I then asked them about their return policy. I wanted to know the timeframe and if there were any fees or surcharges with the return of the pump. I was told, "NO" you just return it. So I went ahead and made the purchase over the phone. Unfortunately, after receiving the pump and switch we realized we have plenty of pressure and the pump was not needed. I called the company and talked to customer service and asked them how I go about returning the pump. He told me to go to their website and click on the return policy, and the manager will make the decision. I was puzzled as that was not what I was told on the conversation when I bought the pump. So I went to the website and there it was, 40% restocking fee. I'm not going to return the pump but leaving honest feedback will be fine for me.
Horrible customer service and quality control and **update**
I purchased a whole house filtration system on 12/23/19. Received the product damaged. The bolts weren't tightened down on the housings and on housing was cracked where the nipple was installed. They blamed it on shipping and it was clearly not due to FedEx. It was sent from the warehouse damaged.. I spoke to 3 different customer service reps and not one of them knew what was going on. I was told a new system would be sent out on Fri 12/27/19 as I returned the damaged unit back to FedEx that evening. I never received another tracking number for the new order. Spoke to two more reps, again no idea what was happening. Called again on Sat 12/28/19 and was told the product will be delivered on Tuesday 12/31/19. I called today 12/30/19 to confirm and was told they would have to call me back. An hour and a half later I called back and was told it never shipped on Sat and will ship today.... Canceled my order...
**Update...I received a call from the manager who will look into this matter... **Gerard, the manager will overnight a new unit today...
Friendly and professional staff. I needed some softener resin media and managed to pick it up on the same day. Their prices are fair and very competitive.
I am writing this from a personal and business perspective. Personally we have had for many years a water softener and a RO water system obtained from US Water. Both systems are virtually trouble free needing only salt in the softener and filter changes in the RO system. Service has been minimal, but always prompt and reasonable. Personally, we are extremely satisfied, and US Water is the best water service company we have experienced through our years of home ownership.
Secondly, my job includes overseeing building operations that encompasses multiple needs for filtration, softener, and special applications. US Water is the best that I have encountered with not only providing the right system for the need, but also bringing new innovative technology for special applications. Any vendor who happens to provide a good service or product that works well can earn a 5 star rating--meaning that even a bad vendor can sometimes score very high points. However, the true proof of a vendor's product and business character are two fold.
1.) Can they specifically solve my water problem? 2.) What happens when something goes wrong?--and given enough time there will be a need.
I can truthfully say from experience that the answer to both of these questions is 5 star in every situation--even to the point of US Water going over board to make sure the situation is solved that includes follow up.
I don't write many reviews, but when a vendor stands out as exceptional I think the kudos need to be publicized. Thank you US Water Team!!
State it should only be used indoors. there is no seal around the bulb and water can get in if out in the rain. my house has no inside access to pipes unless I cut a hole in the wall or slab and then there would be no place with 6 foot clearance to install, I sealed the bulb so no water can get in and installed the ballast in a water proof box. it would seem easy enough to water proof the bulb and ballast.
pro well made and works well very good service very happy with system had a problem with the uv sensor and Derick took care of it right away A+ company will recormmend to everyone
I'm sure from reading the reviews on Reverse Osmosis Systems from US Water Systems they have a sold a lot of good ones. But the one I received was a whole lot of trouble. After several phone calls to the company and buying difference things on eBay trying to get it to work better, after around a year I give up on it. Then I bough one with out a pump on top of it from eBay for less in cost and so far it has worked much better.
Couldn't believe how easy the installation was! I was also surprised how fast the delivery was. I wish I know about RO systems sooner! The water taste great! Thanks,
DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE PUTTING YOUR TRUST IN THIS COMPANY I bought a reverse osmosis system that cost over $12,000. The system was installed and the pump died within 30 minutes of running the system. The system was installed and wired by licensed professionals. After dealing with constant incompetence they agreed to accept a full return and refund me my money. We uninstalled the entire system; they instructed me to box it up on pallets and return everything back to Indiana. They now have the entire system and my money and are going against their written word and REFUSE to refund me my money! I have emails upon emails stating they would process the return. An actual return authorization form was approved by their President, VP and sales team and everything was going as agreed until the owner Mark Timmons changed his mind, after the fact. The President and Vice President are father and son. I believe this company is now taking advantage of my situation, as they are deliberately holding onto my money. I am required to have a water filtration system in order to live in my home and can't afford another until this is processed. I have emails and voicemails proving they would refund my money. I don t understand how anyone could think it s okay that a company can keep your money AND the product. PLEASE BE WARNED, I would hate if anyone else was subjected to this kind of treatment.
I purchased a part for my Chemical Pump from US Water Systems. The service and knowledge of their product was "right on". I will keep these folks on my list for future needs. I rate these folks as ... EXCELLENT!
US Water put a softener in our new house last summer and we love it. After a month, we noticed a small leak in one of the hoses and they were out to make it right that day. Haven't had one issue since, and the quality of the water is fantastic. In my opinion, a company that provides a good product and good customer service is worth using.
