I just purchased my third vehicle from Apple Tree Honda, a 2016 Civic. I have always had excellent customer service, especially with my favorite salesperson, Ibis Sherren! If you are in the market for a new car, she's the woman to help you! Three of my family members followed suit and purchased vehicles of their own!

When someone goes out of their way time and time again to make sure you are treated professionally and have a great experience, it is worth telling others about. That person is Brenda McCraw, Service Adviser in the Honda Service Department.

She always makes my service visit easy. It's quick. There is never a surprise charge. Only honest feedback and friendly advise. I trust her.

Brenda is a true asset to her department and a great ambassador for Apple Tree. You rock, Brenda!

We purchased a used Chevy Equinox from Apple tree. I researched what I wanted in my price range, and found a couple vehicles there I wanted to see. The internet department was prompt in contacting me and setting up an appointment. We were connected with a salesman, Jordan, and he took excellent care of us! He never pressured us or try to talk is into a different vehicle or price range then we were looking for. He also worked diligently to make sure that a small issue with the vehicle was corrected with very little hindrance to the process. My only, very tiny, complaint is that the car was detailed before we picked it up but they were not very thorough. There were candy wrappers and smarties under the back seat and driver seat that rolled out after I was driving a bit. Everything else was clean though! I would definitely purchase a vehicle with them again!

Terrible service! My husband tried to get a recall done and no one picked up the phone for him to schedule an appointment. By the 5th no anwser he had to show up. Gets there the front desk lady was rude and just sent him away to the service and not apologizing for not answering the phone. The service guys were standing around talking ignoring him until finally he had to go up to them and instead of hey how are you, it was do you have an appointment. In my opinion it is worth going to boone to their Honda dealership. We recently went there looking to buy a car and the service was so terrible we decided even if we wanted a Honda we would not buy it there.

Came by to look at cars and the salesman, Tom Nail, was so kind and patient with us. We didn t buy at the time but we were so impressed with this young salesman! When we decide to buy another vehicle it will definitely be a Honda and we would certainly love to have the privilege of working with Tom!

Bought a used car from Apple Tree in May. Car had been in accident and they didn't disclose it/ didn't even know it. Had to put new two new tires on within three months. Don't pay the price for certified pre-owned. It doesn't mean anything there. No different than buying any car off any lot/individual. Tried to discuss my problems with a salesman and they refused to even consider helping me. Wish I had never set foot in that Honda Dealership. Look at their rating on google. 2.9 stars. Really? Wal-Mart has a better rating.

Just wanted to post a comment a couple years later. I haven t forgotten how bad my experience was at Appletree. Have no intention of ever buying a car from them. Notice the terrible ratings. Should tell you something. Still worse than WalMart

I have known Apple Tree Acura/Honda for many years...

I have known Apple Tree Acura/Honda for many years as I used to own a Honda Pilot (2004) and had my Pilot serviced with Apple Tree. I had the opportunity to meet Ibis Sherren with Apple Tree Honda....so, it only stood to be that when I was ready to trade in my Pilot, I contacted Ibis. I drove from Gastonia, NC to Fletcher to the Apple Tree Dealership. Ibis Sherren could not have been more cordial. She knows her vehicles. She spent time with me to determine my current needs in a vehicle and knowing that I still wanted an SUV but no longer needed the size of the Pilot, Ibis introduced me to the Honda CR-V. I have now had my vehicle for a year and I couldn't be more pleased with this Honda vehicle. Betsy Woods is the next person I worked with as the person who closed the deal. I would highly recommend both women as compassionate, cordial and highly professional in their trade. Apple Tree Honda is very fortunate to have them on their team.

I have put less then 2000 miles on the jeep I bought from them and it keeps messing up, this time I changed the spark plugs because it had a miss. the ends where missing looks like they melted off but the paper they gave me said they inspected all this I will probably be changing the engine soon thanks for nothing guys!

Visiting from out of town and needed some work done on my Honda Fit. Service department was very friendly and accommodating. Didn't try to over sell unnecessary work. New airbag, spark plugs and a few other things all done in about two hours. Plus they washed the car. A nice perk I don't get up in the northeast. Overall good experience. Thanks!

I had always avoided dealership service department...

I had always avoided dealership service departments because I was under the impression that they overcharged. My Honda Element was included in the recall for the airbag issue. After contacting Appletree they ordered the part, a few days later the part came in, I dropped my Element off on the way to work and picked it up after work the same day. Since then I have used their service department a couple of times. Once was for a drive belt replacement. Appletree charged much less than the price the trendy garage nearby quoted me. And unlike the trendy garage nearby they never try to upsell me. I always deal with Tom Sadler and his professionalism has turned a skeptic into a loyal customer.

We had a pretty good experience going to Apple Tree for an oil change and tire rotation. When we first called to make the appointment, we were sent to voicemail and had to leave a message. Amy did call back and got us scheduled reasonably quickly (minor points off for getting the spelling of my wife's name and the type of car wrong). We arrived a few minutes before our scheduled appointment. Brenda was courteous, efficient and detail-oriented. We waited longer than we expected for the service--just over an hour--so a few more points off. But Brenda did at least acknowledge and apologize for the wait. Total cost was about $2 more than we had previously paid at Forest City Honda, but well worth the difference for better service and the unexpected bonus of having our car washed and vacuumed. We had called Forest City first, but after four attempts to reach the service department and NO return call after leaving a voicemail, we are more than happy to choose Apple Tree from now on.

This is the 3rd Honda my family has purchased from...

This is the 3rd Honda my family has purchased from AppleTree. Cameron was the salesperson on the first 2 sales, about 5 years ago, and now he's the General Manager. Elizabeth was our salesperson this time. She and Cameron did an excellent job, and helped us get a great deal. They gave us a good trade-in value for my truck and a reasonable difference in price for the new Honda Ridgeline. Elizabeth did something no salesperson has ever done before: she emailed me a link that had YouTuve videos that explained the various features and systems on the vehicle. She also stayed late, after closing time, to review some of these in person with me. Their finance man helped me obtain the paperwork efficiently, the way we wanted the title work handled. Elizabeth had service staff wash the truck before she let me drive it off the lot. She also said I can get it washed there at no charge, whenever I'm going by. Nice people, good value, good vehicles. Oh: Elizabeth said we get AppleTree's 10 year/1,000,000 mile warrantee on the drivetrain. They can do that because Hondas hardly ever stop running. I was going to get a Tacoma 4x4m but the Ridgeline has 50" between the wheelwells and a wider front seat. Leather, sunroof, nav. All on the RTL-T .

Pleasantly surprised by the sales rep Tim Willis at the used lot. He wasn't pushy whatsoever and was very upfront and honest. Nothing like car salesmen I've dealt with in the past. I told him the price range I wanted to spend and he didn't try to push me into cars out of that range. I even asked to see one car and he told me that one would have me spending more monthly than I wanted. He was very honest about the whole process and gave me top dollar on my trade in as well. If I go to Apple Tree again, I will be requesting Tim.

Stephanie dilts has the worst attitude I've ever received from any sales rep that works at a car dealership. If you go to the clean juice asheville reviews you will see that she left a pretty hateful comment over $5.30 worth of toast...and complained about not getting a break from this dealership! My thoughts go out to her and her future customers because, they're in for a ride of sass and attitude!

Unscrupulous dealership and dealer, Ibis Sherren. She sold us a Certified Honda. We were concerned about a noise issue, but she assured us the vehicle was fine. I took the vehicle to Appletree Honda for its annual inspection, less than a year from purchase date. It would not pass inspection due to an issue we had asked about before we purchased the vehicle. When the issues were noted by the Appletree Honda mechanics, Ibis Sherren, nor the manager, nor the mechanics would take any responsibility. I couldn't even get the manager to return my phone calls. Warning, do not do business with this dealer or dealership. Go to Hendrick Honda instead. They are honest and guarantee their vehicles and mechanical work. It's worth the drive.

I went to Apple Tree Honda to lease the new 2015 Fit. Mind you we have had Honda's in our family for years and they have been excellent cars. We settled on a lease for 232.22 a month for 36 months after all the financial paperwork was processed and checked. We waited about an hour or so to have all the finances checked through Honda Financial services. My credit was in the high 700s and everything seemed great. We signed the contract and off I drove. A week later I get a call from Cameron at Apple Tree saying that something came back from Honda Financial and they need someone to either cosign the lease with me or add an additional $50 a month to my lease! I could not believe it, and told them that we have a contract for 232 a month and no more. The next day I get a call back saying they need the car back or pay $50 dollars a month. I took the car back and asked for all my money back. I was pretty furious that it took over a week to check on the finance stuff and that I had to wait an hour the day i picked it up to have all of that checked out.
The customer service was awful and no one took responsibility for what happened (which is clearly Apple Tree Honda fault). Why would you have someone wait to check on their finances for an hour or more and then a week later tell them they messed up and need more money?!

Will never buy or lease from Apple Tree Honda ever again!

I just have to say in my 50 years of buying cars, this was one of my best experiences. Angelo and Zane were the reason we purchased the car we did. We went to the dealership looking at a Camry, and left with an Acura. Both Angelo and Zane were instrumental in making us think thru what kind of car we really wanted, what was best for us, and then helped us to get into that perfect car. Thank you both for your time and effort to help us get into the right car.

I had a trade in and the whole process of a transfer was whithin an hour. You can tell that you deal with people with years of experience when they handle things with such an ease. Horrible experience. We needed to get service done due to a Hondat recall not our idea. My husband called and was told to bring the car in at 730 am- although they weren t even open yet...
He dropped the keys in the box and we went back to our days. Ps we live 30 mins away, both have full time jobs. Also this was Valentine s Day and all driving was done in the hellish Asheville rush hour. We rushed back out after work at 5 pm to find the car untouched, the appt Ignored, and the keys never even seem in the drop box. After spending almost 3 hours of my day diriving back and fourth to not even have the car touched I was livid. Oh and the fix took 30 mins so why did we need to drop off all day ??? Literally wasted hours in my day, at lest $10 in gas and all ON Valentine s Day. Thanks guys.

Save your time and go anywhere but here! Especially if you re a first time buyer (AND a female). They will try to scam you! I went last week in the hopes of buying a CR-V. They wouldn t give me the prices on paper for me to take home and consider everything. Plus the monthly payments they gave me did not add up (do your own math with the payments. Don t trust them). Then they tried telling me my final price with 0.9% APR would include over $8,000 in taxes/fees! Luckily I found Hendrick Honda in Hickory. In less than two hours I got my prices (through text!) & was given a discount for being a recent college graduate. There is no hidden fees with them. All their extra charges/fees are on their website! This didn t even seem like a car purchase. It was insanely easy and stress free! Picked up my CR-V that same day. Highly recommend Hendrick Honda! It s worth the drive!

If I could give the service department 10 stars I would. My 2017 Honda Pilot broke down while here on vacation from Sarasota, Florida. Knowing that I was needing to drive home in a few days they started working on my car right away trying to get it up and running so I could drive it back. In addition, they are dealing with the dealership in Sarasota where I originally had my car "fixed." Not only has Chad Barnwell (my service advisor) and the team at Apple Tree Honda made every attempt to get my car up and running quickly they have been dealing with a difficult situation with the dealership in Sarasota. The service manager at Apple Tree, James King, even called me to explain everything. This whole breakdown experience could have been so much more difficult to deal with in the wrong hands. I'm very grateful that I took my car to Apple Tree. I can't say enough good things about Chad. He has kept me in the loop the entire time and has worked very hard to get my car fixed correctly and in a timely manner.

This was my first time deciding to try an actual dealership & I chose Apple Tree Honda because I d always heard good things. My first visit was unpleasant due to a seemingly disgruntled sales staff - but when I let them know I was dissatisfied with my experience, the manager immediately reached out to me to see what had gone wrong & convinced me to give them a second chance. During my second visit, the manager & his staff (both finance & sales) went absolutely above & beyond to change my opinion of Apple Tree Honda. In the end, they succeeded - I purchased a Honda that I am extremely happy with, & I feel confident in recommending Apple Tree Honda to those in the market for a dealership with a great desire to not just sell cars, but also to ensure customers leave happy!

After my experience at Apple Tree Honda it felt less like a dealership and more like a family. Being only 20 a lot of dealerships would laugh at me walking through the door trying to buy a car on my own due to a short credit history, but Apple Tree worked with me and got me into a car that fits my wants, needs and most importantly falls within my budget. Ibis Sherren treated me as if I was one of her sons and ensured I got out of my old Jeep and into a Certified Preowned Honda Civic. She got me a deal that was in the best interest of me and that's what is important. I would highly recommend her if you stop by Apple Tree!

(This was awhile ago- hope things have changed), but it needs to be said. They denied to repair a legit recall item which then put my pregnant wife in danger of her vehicle lighting on fire. Absolute worst experience, Apple Tree Honda's service department was inhumane, brought lies,

The recall item could cause smoke and then could next potentially light the car on fire. The car had already started to smoke, the next potential thing to happen was for the car to light on fire, so I even towed the car there to get it worked on. They held onto the car for so long just to eventually lie to us and say that it is not a recall item.

We know that it was a real recall item because directly after picking it up we drove to another Honda dealer an hour away, Forrest City Honda and without skipping a beat or any question they took it and fixed it at no cost as Honda asked their dealers to do.

I would give them a negative 5 if I could since they put my pregnant wife in danger. I imagine that they did this because they would make more money off repairing over priced repairs instead of what Honda would pay them to fix the recall. Instead they lied and tried to sent my pregnant wife out in a vehicle that could at any moment light on fire.

What would you do if someone, anyone did that to you or your family, anyone in your family?

If I was just rating Ibis, our sales consultant, I would give Apple Tree Honda a solid 5 stars, but I was a little put off by the pushiness of the finance person who kept telling us he wasn't trying to sell us anything as he fast-talked a whole lot of "insurance" options. I would definitely refer family and friends to Apple Tree and to Ibis, but would tell them "buyer beware" when it comes to the finance department.

Made an apt over the phone a week in advance for a Honda airbag recall. I get there for my apt and waited 15 minutes in line in front of the service bay door..... They have two, but one was closed for no visually obvious reason, and the line of cars extended all the way into the road. The rampant confusion among-st the people waiting in line was obvious.

That is not why I am giving Apple Tree Honda 1 star. Once I finally get to the front of the line, I was told there was no record that I had ever made an apt. I was unable to get in my car at all, as they were very busy that day..... HENCE WHY I MADE AN APT OVER THE PHONE A FULL WEEK IN ADVANCE.

Absolutely ridiculous. 1 star because, if you can't even take an apt over the phone, and you are a car dealership...... enough said.

My husband and I had been looking at several places for a pre-owned vehicle with low miles and in the price range we wanted and the sales consultant we worked with was outstanding. I got my car inspected here a year ago because my mom used to work here. They told me I needed new windshield wipers to pass inspection and offered to change them for me. Come to find out, it was very obvious that they put USED wipers on my car, that were in worse shape than the ones I had on before and had the nerve to charge me an arm and a leg for them. I had to take my car somewhere else to get new windshield wipers. Take your business elsewhere.

My 13 year old car broke down while I was in Asheville last weekend, and it was towed to Apple Tree Honda. They gave me some value on the old car even though it was basically totaled, and also helped me with a new one. Ray in service was great with the old car, and Jared McCanless was a very knowledgeable and professional sales person to work with. I would recommend Apple Tree to any one needing good service on their current Honda, or purchase of a new one.

Bought a car from them, 2017 Civic si, car was disgusting when they handed it to me, had to fight to get it detailed, them the engine light came on, was misfiring on 2 cylinders, took it back and they had it for a week, they said the fixed the car, a week later started misfiring on 3 cylinders! Also the tires were cupped and worn out, they wouldnt replace them, had to buy them myself because obviously they wont replace them!!! Worst customer service and not sure what kind of technicians work there, how can you let the car pass the inspection when its clearly misfiring!

He was extremely professional and had awesome customer service skills. Because of our great experience at Apple Tree Honda, we will definitely be back for all of our service needs. They even vacuum and wash your vehicle!!

I have a 2001 Honda CR-V and for all but maybe twice, have had Apple Tree service my car. The new service area is gorgeous and customer friendly. Mark was my service advisor today and he was super. He explained what I will need done in the near future, did not try to push any service at this time. I know some reviews are not too good but all my experiences have been very good.

I earlier mistakenly gave this business a one star rating rather than the current five star rating it deserves. My apologies for being so careless. They did a good job, and I appreciated the recharging station for phones since it turned out to be quite useful. I also want to thank the sales staff who took their time to answer my questions about cars on the showroom floor.

This place is a rip off!!!!! Don't go there if you need work done on your car. They tried to have me replace all of my rotors and brakes when only two needed to be. I had them replaced for $200 working with a local mechanic. Apple tree was trying to charge $1100!! They try to take advantage of customers who don't know anything about cars. Before leaving I had to pay a $56 "brake inspection fee" that they didn't tell me about when I first brought my car in. Any local mechanic will give your car an "inspection" for free. I love my honda car, but this dealership is the worst I've ever come across. Never doing business there again.

I won't be taking my Honda here for service again. I requested, among other things, that a broken tail light be replaced. They just didn't do it...no reason given. I paid $200 for a detail job and had to send the car back when picking it up because the interior still had a very thick layer of dust on many parts of it. The shuttle driver was nice, that's about all I can say positive of this experience.

I didn't even want to put 1 star. I should have read the online reviews before purchasing a vehicle from appletree honda of asheville. I have a 2015 crv and received a letter from honda informing me to take my car in for a software update. Apparently it can cause the car to jolt forward unexpectedly which is dangerous so i immediately called to set up an appt to bring my car in. Btw, i had come to the appletree service department once before for an oil change which took almost two hours to complete, but knowing this had to be done i called to make the appt. No one answered on a tuesday afternoon so i left a message. Two days later no one had called me back so i called and finally reached someone and made an appointment for today tuesday oct 11th. I brought my car in at 9am and had to take a shuttle ride home and then it picked me back up around 230 after the car was "ready". The shuttle driver was very nice and the only pleasant person i came across at that place.

I get to the dealership and am informed that the fixing of the defect in my car (that was honda's mistake) was free of charge. WHAT A BLESSING! Such a joke. Anyway i got into my 2015 car that i love so much and had never given me any problems whatsoever and nothing. It won't start. I go and tell Brenda (the woman that was helping me) and she says she'll have someone look at it. 50 MINUTES later she comes back and says my battery is dead and i can buy one for $108. She showed me a print out of the test. The time on this slip of paper says 3:05pm and it's now 3:55. Why did it take almost an hour to come tell me you were ripping me off so anyway i told her i'd never had a problem with it, i came for a software upgrade which took up my entire day away from my 19 month old son and now i was having to pay for a battery. "It's just a coincidence that it stopped working after we worked on it" i was told.

So i finally got into the car, 8 hours after originally dropping it off and paying for honda's mistake and i see a piece of paper on the dashboard saying i failed a wheel alignment. I got new tires and alignment a month ago. They probably messed that up too. They are crooks. Do not go here! I would not be surprised if they switched the batteries out so they could rip me off. I also would not put it past them to rig the car so that something else goes wrong. These people are despicable and have absolutely no customer service training and do not care. I have never left a bad review for a business. I am the kind of person that could get a completely wrong meal at a restaurant and not say a word and be kind and tip well. This pushed me over the edge today. DO NOT GO TO APPLETREE HONDA!!!

NOPE, salesman I encountered wanted to show me how much he knew, when I explicitly said I had done my research and wanted to test drive the new CRV, he said, you may think you know, but you don't. Had to complain to the manager to get a test drive. After driving, I bought a Subaru Forester Touring at Prestige Subaru from the best salesperson who got it immediately and became our friend, she's terrific, cheers!

I was driving an old car. 2001. It was freezing cold yet I walked the lot. I've been in the market for an suv for a while. Had an appointment at BMW an hr later.
I walked the show room. Not even a hi can I help you. They could have sold me a car. The staff was very nice but wow. I could have been the impulse buy for the day.

She listened to my needs and really seemed to care about all the things that I wanted in a new Car. Her Manager Matt even came out and spoke with me and he was such a delight. Last month I needed to replace my car and when I did an internet search I found Apple Tree Honda. I entered all my information and soon I received a very nice email from Bill Caesar with a lot of information about what Apple Tree offers. He included his cell number in case I would like to make an appointment. He said his job was not to sell me a car but to answer all my questions and to make sure I had a pleasant experience when I visited.

I made an appointment and when I arrived, Bill and Ibis Sherren came out to greet me. Ibis asked what I was interested in as far as color, amenities, new or used. After I told her what my budget was, she showed me several different models and we test drove some of them. When I decided on the car that was right for me, she told me when it would be ready for pickup. When I went back, Ibis spent at least two hours in the car with me setting everything up and explaining how everything worked. She was patient, knowledgeable and she gave me her cell phone number and said I was to call anytime I had questions.

About two weeks ago Verizon did an update to my phone which caused it to be unable to connect to my car. I took it back to Apple Tree and Ibis tried to find the problem, but it turned to be more complicated than we expected. She drove it into the Service Bay and asked for Jason Early. He knew a lot about the phone, the updates and the apps and was much more helpful than Verizon had been. He spent a very long time deleting things that had been installed with the update and trying different cables in case the one that came with the car was faulty. Finally he was able to fix the problem and got the phone to re-connect with the car. He did all of this with kindness, patience and a genuine interest in helping solve the problem.

This was the best dealership experience I have ever had and I hope the three people I worked with will be rewarded for their above and beyond excellent customer service.

I had a great experience initially, the buying process and everything was easy... got a notification about a month later that there was a recall, took it in and wasn t told it was going to be THREE HOURS to do the update the software needed. So I wasn t able to do it. They won t do the updates on the weekends and they won t give you a loaner car. I ve had my car less than 8 months and I have had nothing but problems, screens going blank, audio stopping, and my speakers even have a staticky sound. I m not impressed with them. They could at least give you a vehicle if they expect you to give up your vehicles for HOURS. They should probably sell better quality vehicles as well.
Update: it was confirmed by the service staff that my screens should not be going blank, it IS a safety issue. Managers refuse to return my calls and they conveniently have no cars for rent on the day I need one now... DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. look at the bbb reviews!!!!
