We were on vacation from Ohio going to South Carolina. We stated in Ashville for a day of sightseeing. On the Blue Ridge Parkway, our van lost the alternator. We had our van towed to Apple Tree. Colby and Jason were excellent making sure our van was down for as little time as possible and helping us get a rental van while our was repaired. In less than 24 hours, our van was repaired, we were on the road, and we didn't miss out on any of our vacation. They made what could have been a disasters as easy to deal with as possible. They were miracle workers!

Bought a new CR-V in December. At purchase, informed dealer it would be registered out of state. Bought cross-bars and mats at purchase - neither in stock.
After three weeks, I had to call to get status of registration - that they stated "they take care of anything.".
After that, I got a form that I needed to complete, and a title with mistakes. So much for "taking care of anything."
One month after that, still nothing from the dealer on the cross bars and mats.

I purchased my car here and have returned several items with extreme satisfaction. From the salesman in the beginning- phone calls returned quickly, everyone is very friendly. The hours they are open make it easy to get in regular things, like oil change, but of course they do have a secure key drop off. Generally to schedule a appointment requiring parts an initial appointment to analyze what has to be done, therefore enabling you to have the price before the job is done. They do have waiting area with coffee/ water available tv magazine s & WiFi access while also tempting you to come check out the new models that are right there within eyesight. All in all I have no complaints Come check it out for yourself if you haven t been in a few years the newer show rooms are better!!!

Terrible service entity here at Apple Tree Honda in Asheville. After spending around 40K for my 2016 Pilot I came to get my car serviced. I called in to set up a "Scheduled" appointment to get my Oil change and the console plastic piece replaced. They took over 1.5 hours just to get me into the actual service after finally complaining to the Service manager whom was apologetic but really took no real responsibility for wasting my time and dropping the ball. He actually blamed his own application database system. From what I understand there are multiple systems that don't talk to each other. At the actual show room they have a flat screen that allows the customer to see the requests being assigned to the actual ticket. I asked multiple times as to why my ticket was pending and no one could actually give me a straight answer believe it or not. Come to find out the ticket was under a service desk employee whom had been out to lunch, what a joke. There is very little accountability and the staff is a bit short of being nice and courteous. I don't recommend Apple Tree Honda in Asheville, NC for service unless it is completely required due to a recall as an example. D- is my grade.

If you need service/repairs, save yourself the grief and go elsewhere. I retracted my original review in hopes that their service department would make things right.....I was wrong. It s been nothing short of a migraine dealing with these people. I drove over an hour from Jackson County to have a water leak fixed by their specialist 2 weeks ago. I was assured MULTIPLE times that he would be there, right up to the morning I dropped it off. He was a no show and I was, of course, upset. My boyfriend and I both took off work (2 full days pay) and shelled out for 2 vehicles worth of gas for the 100+mi trip...I was pretty much stranded without a vehicle after the guy didn t show (they waited until 4:30 to let me know when he was supposed to arrive at 10am). We get 2 stories: Service advisor told us specifically that they didn t realize he took off time to spend with his family beyond the holidays/New Yrs and then the Asst Service Mgr told us flat out they hadn t spoken to him at all and had no idea where he was because he wasn t answering... Same manager was incredibly rude and flippant; refused to take any responsibility for their hired service workers, and very snidely told my boyfriend on the phone, Get with real life, mistakes happen when he asked for a discount on our service for all the trouble we d been through.
Fast forward, I get my truck a few days later and stupidly didn t look at the work their specialist had done before I left...I checked it out the next day, saw that it looked totally half-assed, gloppy sealant with big gaps and holes and they didn t even scrape all the old glue off. They also told me prior to the first fix that the rubber trim above the driver side truck cab (where the leak originated) was hail damaged....It s clearly been beat on by someone in the past, trying to make it seat correctly...to my knowledge, hail doesn t fall in a straight line, and there is literally NO other damage on the vehicle.Despite this, they didn t acually fix it, just made a $250 patch job. Turns out, the patch didn t even work. It STILL leaked.
So I had to take ANOTHER day off work yesterday, make another 100+mi trip (that I couldn t even afford!!). Was told they d give me an estimate of how long it would take/exactly what the steps would be to really FIX it (because they literally couldn t answer any of my questions on the matter...) and I waited 3.5hrs before calling to inquire 15min later a call comes to say it s ready, they never bothered to let me know what was going on as promised, just went ahead and did it. Well, they tell me there was some hole halfway back along/over the window that was missed the previous time and that the rest of the gaps and holes and the screwed up endcap was purely cosmetic and didn t even matter functionally (ok...but I paid you $250 to FIX. IT. And it stillllll looks awful!!!). Here it is pouring rain today and whaddayaknow, it s leaking...These people are crooks. I will never, ever spend money here again.

Not possible to give zero stars, apparently. First, it's not possible to reach someone without leaving a message. If they happen to call you back, they're very snide. After calling numerous times over as many days, after spending many hundreds of dollars, I called and pressed "0" to talk to someone. I asked to be transferred to their "customer 'service'" manager. I got the voicemail. Rather than this specialist in customer service returning my call, they had one of their minions (Sandy) call back. She immediately went on the offensive about how she had this thrown on her and and, don't blame her for not calling back, blah blah. I had new brake pads and new rotors installed for $500. Within a week, my car was violently shuttering when I brake so, I called. Sandy said that, they would not stand by the parts but, I could come in and pay $200 for them to fix it. She also added that, they could show me how to brake to prevent the issue. No wonder people drive to Greenville to buy a Honda as opposed to going to Apple Tree.

My wife and I went with the intent of purchasing a vehicle. She had test driven a vehicle and thought it had the features we wanted, but it did not. We communicated that and were ignored by our salesperson who tried to push us into that vehicle. When we tried to discuss our concerns and desire for a different vehicle the salesperson became rude and condescending. I felt like the salesperson didn't want to show us the 19' models and wonder if they are incentivized to move the 18's. Regardless, being rude, talking down to your customers, and not listening to what they are saying is what we received at this dealership. Needless to say, we will be purchasing our vehicle elsewhere.

After having been to perhaps 6 dealerships, no salesman could make my child happy. People blatantly lying, talking every minute. Not listening. JUST blah blah blah. I mean, DON'T LIE then hand me a car fax that proves you are a liar!!!
So, the car we wanted came on line at Apple Tree Pre-Owned. And we call, and we get Angelo Rivera! Who knew when to be quiet and let us talk and answer questions AND LISTEN TO WHAT WE ARE SAYING! He was open and didn't feed us a line of bull! How refreshing!

My parents have bought many cars from this place. They went to buy again from them a new (used) Honda pilot from them when they were told the car was ONLY tilted to the dealership and had not been used only used as a loaner car. They tried to get them to sign and make the deal final they were very pushy trying to make the deal final. They were lied to 4 times by 4 different people (one of which was a manger) in this place saying that the car wasn t sold before. They decided to go through our local bank and apple tree was unable to provide the window sticker for them. They then got a call from Apple tree stating that they were unable to provide the window sticker because the car had been SOLD!!!! My mom then let the manger know about the above how she had been told 4 different times listed the name of the people she talked to and all he could say was OK!!!! We live in a small town and this is the only Honda in our area. We will be letting other people in our area know not to do business at this place because of lies!!!! We are taking our business to another dealership out of state!!!

In general, when considering a purchase, do your research. Look into the consumer reviews on the makes and models you are considering in order to be aware of commonly known issues with the models you are considering. Also, research both your purchase and trade-in values thoroughly in both the NADA (National Automotive Dealers Association) and KBB (Kelly Blue Book) indexes. Be sure to carefully review the car-fax on the pre-owned vehicle you are considering purchasing. Apple Tree Honda provides a free car-fax on their used vehicles, which is very nice and useful. Prior to closing on your purchase, double check all of the math for any math-hack tricks. Hidden fees and mark-ups over the NADA and KBB fair retail prices on the vehicle you are purchasing can render your trade-in worthless. Also watch for neuro linguistic programming (NLP) sales tactics. Some sales people will use a dropped pen, spilled drink, or other misdirection like drawing your eyes off of what you are looking at to throw you out of logical thinking and manipulate you if you aren t careful. If you are patient and vigilant, you will end up with a deal in which you can find confidence.

He was a very friendly and relatable gentleman. I first want to start off by saying that the sales experience was great! I purchased a 2018 Civic Type R from Gene in used car sales and love the car. On the other hand the car had a few problems with some exterior trim pieces. Considering the car is a 2018 (only 2 years old) the vehicle is still covered under Hondas 3 year/36,000 mile basic warranty. The service I have received at this dealership has been awful! They will deny warranty on parts that are clearly defective claiming that it is normal wear and tear! I can assure you my issues are NOT NORMAL or WEAR and TEAR! One of the concerns i had even involved a issue with the trim on 3 of the 4 doors. After the service department inspected the vehicle they said they would only fix one door. After showing the advisor the problem on the other 2 doors for the 2ND TIME, she took pictures of the issue and said she would get back to me. A week later they said "we are going to replace the trim on all 4 doors now." I feel like if the vehicle was properly inspected the 1st time I would not have to fight to get these parts covered! I am very dissatisfied with the service I have received and I also still have defective parts on my car the they refuse to cover! This just goes to show that Honda's commitment to quality and service is no longer important to them!

I decided to stop by Honda on my way home from work last week just to see what they had because I honestly never thought I would be able to trade in my car. I was walking around looking at cars when Gene Schneider walked up to me. ( Seriously...only deal with him ..you'll LOVE the guy!) He showed me a few cars after I told him what I was looking for and my price range for my monthly payments. We went inside and did some paperwork to see what.... if anything they could do. A few of the other employees stoped by to introduce themselves and shake my hand while we waited. Gene and I talked for a bit and to my absolute shock with a little help...I was approved! That's when I met Mark Whitaker....the finance guy. He was able to get my payments WELL under what I had told Gene I could afford. He was super nice and friendly and explained what he was doing and why he recommended getting certain things added on. Very easy process and as a first time buyer and a single Mom who has to really watch my money...I really appreciated that. I highly recommend coming here if you're looking to get a used vehicle. The people I met during the process were amazing...but these two dudes are TOP NOTCH! They both have great customer skills which most people lack in general. Once my Son comes home on Leave, I will definitely be bringing him here for his first vehicle! Also....ask Gene about "The Bears" you'll love it!

I have bought cars from Apple Tree for years. They also do my service. Never an issue. Brian at Honda service is terrific and actually did me a favor yesterday when I got an oil change on my 2015 CR-V. I told him I was a week from the end of the warranty period and to do the 23 point inspection and especially look for anything that needed to be addressed before the warranty expired. Without even calling me first, he went ahead and replaced the battery that was getting weak and had fallen slightly below the guideline for replacement. I got a free battery from Apple Tree Honda without even asking. Now that is service.

Very disappointing experience with the service department. I had an appointment this morning to drop off at 7:30 to have my wife's Pilot diagnosed for transmission troubles. I had to make extra arrangements to even have the car available this morning. I dropped it off on time, and no one even looked at it all day! Told them I needed it back by 3:30 so I could go home for the day, and at 2:45 the service advisor was going to try to get it looked at "quick" before I came to pick it up. We just purchased our fourth vehicle from Apple Tree Honda. Each purchase has been a pleasure. We've always received what we consider a more than fair price, and we've always enjoyed exemplary service throughout our ownership of each vehicle.

While traveling with family for vacation we received a trouble indicator. After a quick google search I found Apple Tree Honda at the exit we were staying overnight. I called on a Friday night and they explained I could bring the car in early Saturday morning to have a diagnostic run. I checked in around 8:00 am (when they opened) and took a seat in the waiting area. Danny Owenby, the service advisor I dealt with, was wonderful! He was friendly, empathetic and thoroughly explained what would be done. Throughout my wait Danny would periodically stop in to give me updates on my car. After a couple hours Danny came to let me know the car was done. He explained the repair needed could not fully be completed during that visit but the technicians had replaced a few items that would allow my family and me to safely travel the remainder of the way. The repair would be under warranty and Danny gave me all the paperwork and parts needed to process the repair at the next dealer. No one wants to deal with problems while traveling but I cannot thank everyone at Apple Tree Honda enough. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND their service department!

I brought my car here to have a bearing replaced only to be told that the hub needed to be replaced as well and they didn't have this part available until the next week. I could leave my car at the dealership for 5 days and be given a rental (at $40 per day). I opted to not do this so I was charged for labor and still have a bad wheel bearing. Choose and independent shop.

came in the next day and they completed the repair in a matter of minutes and we were on our way to enjoy the remainder of our trip.

Car had to be towed in and turns out it was a dead cell in the battery. The car had been delivered new from another dealer who apparently failed to do a full delivery inspection. Apple Tree went above and beyond in handling my problem and fully tested the battery and replaced it under warranty. Thanks.

You may read reviews of how friendly the employees are at Apple tree and for the most part they are. However when I go to buy or lease my car I expect customer service, after all I am the customer here and if it wasn t for us you wouldn t have a business. I traded my leased car in May for a new CRV, I waited for over 3 hours and after being told go to lunch and when you come back your car will be ready. When I returned my new car was still not ready, they offered to deliver it to my house. The problem with this idea was I had not seen the car because they brought it from the warehouse. At this point I agreed because I was tired of waiting and 1 1/2 hours later they delivered it to my house but without car mats because they couldn t find them. They were delivered the next day. Now it s been one month and my car sounds loud ever since the first day but I thought maybe because it s new it needs to be driven for awhile, but other people have noticed it too. I took it in last week and asked if someone could drive it to let me know if this is normal or what. The service dept. told me they are too busy to take five minutes to drive it and I would have to make a service appt.
So, looking back at my whole experience I ve tried to talk to 3 different managers and no return call back. They have replied to my review and said to call them they would be happy to talk about my experience, no call back. I think Apple Tree has gotten so big that they really don t care about their customers, if they want them to return or if they are even happy with their purchase. I will not return in 3 years when my lease is up.
This by far was the worst experience I ve had buying a car and dealing with a business that does nothing or just doesn t care about its customers. If Apple Tree reads this review please don t reply as always I would be happy to talk with one of the many sales managers.

I purchased a minivan that was used and one of the conditions in the contract was to replace the broken rear struts. They also assured me that the DVD player was working but after we purchase the vehicle the DVD player won t play any discs and I take the van back to my mechanic and he said nothing was done to the struts. I called and the were unapologetic but realized they had been caught in a lie and it took them 3 days and constant calls to finally fix the struts. They still refused to fix the DVD player.
