I purchased a camera for Adorama and returned it. After I return the item, I did received a refund nor the item back. They claimed that they have discharge the item. They refused to refund me back for the item.
Customer service was scrappy too. They hang up on me and gave me the runaround.

terrible service. no product delivered after 4 weeks. Was listed as a overnight delivery available. then they tell me its a manufacturer drop ship....if I don't see a credit in full I will dispute with my credit card company. never again will I use Adorama!

I'm not sure this is the absolute worst customer s...

I'm not sure this is the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced, but it was definitely the most incompetent. For security purposes (which I understand), Adorama doesn t allow a customer or other party to make changes to a delivery address. Therefore, UPS needed their permission to change the delivery address. My parents had to be away from the delivery address during the acceptable delivery time for several days, and the only place UPS was authorized to hold the package was at their facility, 30 miles away. I was not going to have my mom driving 40 minutes to pick up a package unnecessarily. So, I sought out Adorama s help to give UPS a call and give their permission to switch the delivery to a nearby UPS store. After 40 minutes on the phone, the rep made 3-4 suggestions, all with the result of delivery after Christmas and refused to call UPS, saying it wasn t possible to make that change without it taking 1-2 business days. Then, I had to spend more time on the phone with a supervisor to get her to simply call UPS to give them permission. She insisted that this was not going to work, but finally was willing to call and put us in a 3 way conversation. Then, she suggested the very solution that started all of this, the warehouse that was 40 minutes away ..BUT, thanks to UPS s always great customer service, the rep was able to fix this and change the address in roughly 2 minutes. All of this just to get Adorama to call UPS and spend 2 minutes on the phone with them to give permission to divert the delivery tomorrow. This was all that had to be done right in the beginning - it was not a difficult issue to solve. I do a lot of work in customer service, so I understand how hard it can be, but this whole experience was absolutely baffling there was a total lack of comprehension it was quite amazing. I will go out of my way not to order from Adorama again.

The shipping took too long, and the notifications I received were false. I needed to know that one day shipping was required to get the order placed on the 2nd to be delivered on 6th. I did two day shipping and it will arrive late on the 7th. However, I am impressed that the customer service upon hearing that false notifications were sent to me is not only refunding the issue but is also bringing up the false notification to someone higher in the company. I really hope they are able to change the notification to reflect the accurate shipping. I will say my first experience with customer service was bad as they tried to charge me more than the price indicated on adoramas page. I won't ever forget that.

Fast shipping and multiple pay options. No tax for online orders. Always my first stop for my vlogging equipment. I always price compare and always found them either the best price or same as others. I had one order that came in a damaged box and was afraid some parts may have fallen out of box. I took pics and documented the damage before calling them. I got someone on the phone right away and was 100% helpful. Excellent customer service.

Did an online order for a used lens. Lens arrived quickly and I swear this must be a new lens. It came in the original packaging with all the accessories a new lens would come with. There is not a scratch on the lens or housing. The zoom is even still stiff just like a brand new lens normally is. I am very impressed and will purchase my used lenses from here going forward.

I purchased 2 cameras from adorama. A brand new nikon D850 and a refurbished nikon D 7000. I also purchased the insurance for one year that would cover all damages even if a camera was dropped. Within the allotted return time, I decided to return the D850. When I did that I asked adorama representatives if the insurance policy would still cover the D 7000 they said absolutely. So I decided to keep the insurance and pay for it and the D7000 until I've purchased a new model camera for myself. A month ago I dropped the D 7000. It does not work right now. I am trying to return it. At adorama forwarded me to the insurance portion of their organization called new leaf. They could not even find my invoice. I had to provide these people my information that they could not find. For the last 4 weeks I have got nothing but the run around. There was even one representative at new leaf who told me that the insurance policy would not cover a used camera even though it was refurbished. I had asked specifically if I kept the insurance wouldn't cover that camera and I was told yes. I could not be unhappier with the customer service with what I am presently getting this has still not been resolved. a d I paid for all shipping

I ordered a $1500 camera. When i got it, it did not work. I talked to Adorama and they told me to contact Olympus first to see if it's actually broken. Great, I spend more time calling Olympus who spends 5 minutes with me and tells me it sounds defective and I should call the place I bought it from. Or I can send it to them and wait for it. So i called Adorama back and they sent me a UPS label to return it. I sent it out the very same day and it's a week later that it gets to them. Now i have to wait 2-3 more days before a replacement is shipped out. So maybe, 2 weeks after I ordered it will I get a working Camera.

Also the Chat agent (they only have one, or I am lucky enough to get the same guy every time) is not overly responsive. Very short and not overly free with information. I will see how this turns out, but not sure i will order from Adorama again.

My issues with Adorama used department is the fact that I got 2 lenses in a row the Sony Sal2470za, and the Sony sal70200g2. They we re not functioning as expected in the listing. No effort was made to keep as a customer. Then to have customer service lied to me twice about how soon my replacements would go out is extremely frustrating and that completely unprofessional. I have to have my gear when expected. I have spent thousands on gear from Adorama used and have only had issues buying there used lenses. The first lens had the soom ring literally coming off the first time I used it. The second lens had 2 issues, the first issue was that it was the wrong version of the lens, and the second was the fact that it didn t even auto-focus. And now the replacement for that lens still is having unexpected trouble as it makes a squeaking noise periodically when I focus. The lens is supposed to be super sonic, meaning super quiet. Why can t they be more transparent when it comes to the condition of the items they sell. All descriptions are vague and not concerning the item at hand.

I honestly feel like Adorama is not being accountable with peoples dreams and livelihood. How does a company this big go on not taking care of the customers that are the very reason they have financial success?

My last is the fact that Adorama takes advantage of it s customers by charging full listed price when customers are trading used gear for used gear.

Great experience!! Great customer service!! I purchased a Sony Alpha a6000 mirrorless Tripod Kit during the Black Friday sale and have no complaints about any of the items. I am loving my new camera! I received my package in a timely manner. I had a problem with my credit card company and ended up making the same purchase twice. I reached out to Adorama about their return policy and whether I would be able to return one of the packages. Skylar M. was very kind in helping me resolve this issue (thank you!) and was able to intercept one of the packages at no cost to me. I was given a full refund for the duplicate order. I would highly recommend this store!!

Dont use this seller both ground store and online store. They damaged my laptop and denied they did it. I showed the evidence but keep saying about the policy (policy is not law)so I am consulting with my lawyer. they Handle things like garbages. They should learn from BH or Newegg. They really don't deal with you once they receive your money. They are little bit nicer before they sell it. After payment is made, they become totally rude and defensive people like"oh I got the money so now get xxxx out"

Just purchased a Binocular from them, best price on the web, and top quality. Wanted to know where they are shipping from so i googled.. and came accross the reviews. Im not even going to believe all the negative stuff, my experience was very pleasant and im sure i will update with more good words. I have no reason to believe any of the negative reviews, for all Im concerned people just like to complain. and Adorama seems like a guinuine top quality company.
The service agent even hooked me up with a shipping upgrade. What a cool guy.

I was very impressed with their responsiveness, and now the issue is corrected. Things happen, but it was their responsiveness that sold me on them. I do recommend them.

Ok so this is a weird problem but this was my first time using adorama and i didn't buy anything. so i was looking to buy the Nikon D750 this week from here. i was going to buy it used and the day i was ready to buy it it was a E+ rated used. it said it was in stock and i click it. and then an error came up saying it was deleted. but litterer on the search page it said in stock. i dont know if people had bought them all but it should have said out of stock. i have also emailed you three other times. but never even reservist a response from anyway here. i hear amazing things about you and don't want to be the one to storm away but if this is not fixed or i don't get to talk to some one i'm never buying here

Adorama is the worst online shopping store I have experienced.

Adorama sold me a defective laptop last month. The monitor kept flashing and I could not see anything. I connected with Lenovo and Lenovo suggested to return to Adorama with a case ticket. I also connected with Adorama customer service, the representative confirmed as long as Lenovo provide that report, the defective laptop can be returned anyway. However, after I sent Lenovo report to Adorama, they declined the return of the laptop.

Shamed of Adorama product quality and worst customer service! Avoid Adorama.

Have bought stuff from them before online and have always been satisfied. This time went to their store for buying a camera. Had researched our stuff but then staff there was knowledgeable and explained the features well. It does make a difference sometime to see and buy. Prices were competitive. Great selection many brands and models available to compare. Ordered at the store and they shipped to us, got it the next day. Super service and speed.

I typically try to give stores the benefit of the doubt; but the lack of customer service is not good when making a trade / sale. I sent 2 lenses in for an evaluation weeks ago (they were prompt in sending me a prepaid shipping label) since they were getting product at no expense (obviously).
Weeks have gone by with no communication after emails and phone calls; and I'm without 2 cine lenses in my possession. Customer service is outsourced overseas, so you can't just call the store directly - they have to call you. Customer Service is excellent when acquiring your gear; but not so good after your gear is in their possession - because they already have it. Disappointing and frustrating to say the least.

This is a review of the online store. I have very poor experience with the company. If you need some extra help or advice customer service does not work. I spent 3 days of writing to make an order and in the end it didn't work
It seems the company grew up to such extent that it became bureaucratic, inefficient, non-flexible and employees have no interest to sell anything (but to write some generic answer to get the job done - get rid of inbox requests). To get a written answer you have to wait one day (sorry, I can't call because I am in Europe at the moment). Online chat does not work. Proposal to talk via Skype or any online service (google chat) was ignored...

Last year I was trying to order Sigma 85mm lens. After waiting to long for some support I gave it up and ordered from Amazon. Now I was trying to order Nikkor 70-200 (due to tax free out of New Jersey and free tripod). I'm close to giving it up....

All in all make yourself a favor, order from Amazon and you will not have problems. Support at B&H or Crutchfield works on completely other level....
Advice to shareholders: hire anonymous consumers and check efficiency and satisfaction level with customer support

PS I need lens for the road trip starting in LA and I lost 3 days, now I have difficulties to get the lens on time elsewhere without paying crazy shipping costs. Very frustrating experience....

I'm a pro photographer and buy equipment regularly from Amazon and B&H. Experimented with ordering from Adorama, and they sent me the wrong part. Quickly called customer service 3 mins after I opened the box and asked them to send a return label. 1) They asked me to email them a photo, which they would review, and then get back to me about the issue. 2) I told them the box was already re-taped and due to work I needed to get it ready for the ups man which would arrive shortly. They gave me a hard time and acted like they were performing a special favor by breaking their rules and sending me a UPS label stat. Will never order from adorama again.

I received a quote for my photography equipment, as I was switching from Nikon to Sony.. Quote was $3500+ for my equipment, which I thought was decent.. I shipped in my equipment, and then received an email saying they got it, and they would be in contact withing 5-7 days.. 11 days go by and not a word, so, I emailed them back for an update and then I get an automated email saying to call a number and ask for Jack Gold.. I call and get a voicemail and says they will return call within 2 days..
Luckily I got a phone call back same day.. I was put on hold for 15 mins, and then finally spoke with Jack about my quote.. It was way way lower then what was in email.. Only about $1700 now.. I ask about a trade, on a Sony 16-35mm 2.8GM.. He said he had a floor model, that he would sell with the trade money, and 299$ cash.. I asked if he can overnite it because I needed it for a photo shoot.. He said we would..That was on 5/8/18 we completed the order.. on 5/10/18 still no lens, so I called customer service who said he would have it shipped out that day so I can get it on the 11th.. 5/11/18 came and went, but no lens.. But I finally got an email it has shipped on 5/11/18 and I will receive my lens 5/14/18.. they totally screwed me over.. never again!

Update: They corrected their mistake..

Update Again: said I was going to be given a credit.. been over a week and haven't received anything. The customer service here sucks! And I've talked to a bunch of other Photographers who agree

My first time purchasing with Adorama was fine. There was some disappointment with customer service but after a 3 star review I was contacted, the reason was provided along with more information, and I was asked to change my rating which I did. Most recently I ordered 2 lenses which were the wrong ones, that was my fault, but I wasn't worried because Adorama boasts a great return and exchange policy. I ordered the correct lens and contacted customer service to let them know I was doing an exchange. It has been 2 weeks, they received my returned product 7 days ago, and the new lens has not yet shipped. They also charged me the difference between the products (as expected) but then were short in charging me by 25 cents. I just had to call and pay 25 cents over the phone using my card in order to complete the exchange. Nobody could tell me why this happened. Their website implies that they will process and complete the exchange when you notify them of it but I found they do not begin the process until they receive the returned item, then it takes 3-5 days to process the return before they begin to process the new order which takes 3-5 days (not including weekends or Friday afternoons) and THEN they ship it. I had to cancel a shoot this past Friday because I didn't have the new lens still more than 10 days after notifying them of the exchange despite the 2 to 3 day shipping. I get that I ordered the wrong one and that is my fault but I have never experienced such a difficult and long exchange process since the implementation of online shopping. They also cancelled rather than transferred my lens service plan despite the new lens being 100% eligible for coverage. In the future I will be using B&H when possible from here on out.

In short.. stay away from Adorama. I have used them several times, had no issues before as I did not have to go through the return process.. but this time ... oh god... nightmare.

Purchased $2500 camcorder, It was defective, so returned it. Problem is I only received partial refund $2200, as they claimed I did not return some of parts which I returned and their system shows it.. Talked to several people/manager, one manager finally understand my situation and told me that he will request/process full refund, then later another email received from another person that and they can not.

It seems their system is so messed up. Stay away from Adorama if you want piece of mind. It has been a month going back and force with Adorama on this... nightmare..

Worst Customer Service EVER!

Avoid at all costs - there are other options out there to get your gear ordered!
Placed an order and had to return 3 items - filled out the online return form and saw that only 2 out of 3 items were covered in my return confirmation (received via email).

Calling customer service on Friday at 4:55 PM, got a lady on the line which could not find my order / phone number in the system at first. Suddenly, precisely at 5:00 PM, she dropped the phone, .. call ENDED!!
Calling back resulted in "Customer Service Only Available Mo-Fr... blabla".
Means they dropped my call exactly on the time when they close on Friday instead of processing my request.

What a joke!!

Last time that I ordered there, Amazon's customer service is lightyears ahead of their cumbersome and amateurish return process!

My last experience was not a positive one. Recently, I ordered a Nikon 24-70 2.8 lens. An expensive lens for me. When I received the lens, the Nikon box had a corner severely mashed. Appeared that the Nikon box had been dropped at some point. This did not occur during shipping. The shipping box was fine. Anyway, I engaged in chat support with "Clark O" and expressed my concerns about the lens possibly being damaged. Clark was very nice and told me I could exchange the lens without issue. He sent me a pre-paid label. Clark told me once the lens arrives, it may take 2-3 days to process and ship the replacement. Well, five days after Adorama had received the lens, my account did not indicate the lens had been received, a replacement sent, etc. As a result, I contact support via chat. I engaged in a chat with "Albert". He confirmed the lens had been received and a refund was issued instead of a replacement being sent. I expressed my disappointment because I needed the lens within a few days. His response: " I suggest you order another one". He offered no other solution. He could have generated the replacement, expedited the order, etc, but offered no assistance or possible solutions.
Update: I was contacted by another staff member from Adorama on July 1 who was very apologetic and about my experience and assured me this would be addressed with customer service. I do appreciate the follow-up by Nancy. Thank you!

First purchase with Adorama, got the delivery package and it was empty! Perhaps I should have gone with someone that I have known. Not happy thus far. Still waiting to here back but based on other reviews apparently this stuff just happens.

Adorama associates are really helpful. William Rossi is one of the sales associates who goes above and beyond. The first time I went to the store physically to trade in some gear and get new ones, he was there and provided incredible help and had my stuff shipped to me priority. Since then I've been able to reach him personally for a few more transactions and personally tracked down a used item for me to purchase. It's actually crazy that he gave me his personal cell phone number. I've been very impressed with the service I've received at adorama. Honestly I'm going to stop shopping at the other camera store on 34th and 9th. YMMV but I've had the best of luck with them.

Bought an item from them through Rakuten and it was a nightmare to me. The item's picture shows that the camera comes with a lens but upon the receive there is no lens. They didn't take responsibility for their fault but just wasting my time. Throughout the phone call with them, even the managers didn't state how they plan on fixing the problem. Even after my complaints about the misleading product picture, they still have not fixed the problem yet. Very slow response. They just lost a years long customer and the future benefits from me. Won't do any business with them again

I email customer service and they send me auto reply email back saying "if on set" they get back quicker. Waited 5 days and still nothing in email. Paying this money and for nothing more than sorry customer service. If you cant handle the log of requests then don't sell the item. And then they have the nerve to tell you to pay return shipping. Buyer beware......especially if the product doesn't work.

Adorama works well for me. I don't live in NYC so I order online. Ordering is quick and receiving camera gear is also fast. For purchasing there for years, I have received some nice discount "cards" for my next order.
If I ever go to NYC I will visit Adorama!

I have never had such a bad experience with a company as I did with this one. I ordered a pc with them from amazon. When it arrived the pc did not work at all. I contacted the manufacturer which is cyber power to see if the y can fix the issues through the phone. The representative at cyber power told me that there is something wrong with the pc and they couldn t fix it because it was either a motherboard issue or a graphics card issue. I contacted them about a refund and return the pc right away. I got a message saying that I would only get $760 from the $3000 that I spent on the pc. Now I have to figured out how to get that money. This is by far the worse company that has done this. I read reviews of other people complaint about orders that were not what they ordered or orders that were damaged sent to them. But for this company to send me a broken pc then only to return $760 is a slap in the face.

Kicking myself for relying of them again for prints. I have yet to receive on-time delivery of prints or photo books from this store. The last time I dealt with them I ended up canceling my order because it was so late that I missed an important deadline. This time I designed a photo book on their site, which took me hours and hours, and now it is almost a week late. I'M NEVER GOING BACK HERE FOR ANYTHING!

wow, this place is absolutely atrocious. I ordered 2 VoigTlander lenses from this place and have been giving them my business for a number of years. I wanted to give them a chance after shopping with BH for about 12 years.

I am still fuming about how terrible the customer service is. Scott, who is a manager at Ebay Sales threatened me over the phone, telling me that he can just say have a good day and hang up the phone on me if he wanted to if I dont stop comparing their establishment to BH and Cameraquest. Shame on you Scott, you should be fired for saying something like that!!! you are wasting your bosses money.

They shipped the item to the wrong address and would not refund me the money. They told me I had to wait for the package to make it rounds around NYC post office until it either gets to me or come back to Adorama. Wait!!!!! are you kidding. I am a working professional. I buy something because I need something yesterday not whenever it gets it.

He promised to look into it and never called me back. when I called him after 5 hours Amanda, who is probably the most incompetent person I spoke to... asked to spell everything I said to her and sounded like a broken record telling WHAT I AM SAYING... THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO RIGHT NOW!...

AMAZING... IF YOU ARE PROFESSIONAL WHO NEEDS SERVICE THAT MATCHES YOUR STANDARDS DO NOT SHOP AT ADORAMA!

Original Review "Staff misinformed about S1 Vlog upgrade that is being offered for free to all those who purchase before July 31st. They claim because I got the free battery grip and battery that it does not apply to me but Panasonic never mentioned this in the announcement and BH photo is honoring still no problem. Adorama will not honor this free upgrade for their customers... very disappointing."
