Placed an almost $4000 Macbook Pro on Oct 23th.

I received my order yesterday, and the shipping box came without any damage. But the second layer box inside from DHL China (manufacturer) to Adorama and the original APPLE box is damaged!

So I called the Adorama customer service for a replacement, and they said they would expedite my order replacement.

All I have to do is to drop off the item back at the nearest UPS store.

I waited all day for the order replacement email, but NO Bueno! So I called back to follow up, and they can't do that. I have to wait another week to process the replacement then I asked for a refund instead and they can't do that either.

I felt cheated and wasted my time on this nonsense!

I have shopped at Adorama for years. As a professional photographer, they are my go to place for the best products at the best prices. I recently purchased a drone and am loving the picture quality.

Absolutely terrible customer service! I sent back a printer that was dead on arrival. The customer service reps stated that I would be refunded immediately. They refused to accept the return after having it for over a month in their warehouse (11/7 arrived, 12/7 was their official response). I have the UPS tracking number to prove it, customer service rep Joanna (Manager) admitted this and wouldn't even apologize. 7-days later I received a cryptic email that said the printer was "heavily" used, I took a picture of the print count prior to sending it out... 0000 copies printed. How could this be heavily used if it was sold as "new". Also they are refusing to send me back the printer until I pay for return shipping. Don't trust this company, they do not stand behind their product.

While preparing for a shoot I discovered that two of my Kino fixtures had burned out bulbs. I ordered replacement bulbs and paid for overnight shipping from this company. What they failed to provide was a statement that they don t stock the bulbs and they had to be dropship from another company.

It s common knowledge that in the world a professional video production equipment failures happen all the time. They are in the business of providing equipment to professionals and should therefore have this information available, it s just common sense.

Bottom line, I didn t get the replacement bulbs in time for the shoot and had to rent fixtures costing me even more.

When I contacted the company, they made zero effort to make things right with me, therefore because of their poor communication skills and lack of customer service they are getting a one star.

Furthermore, I will never order another thing from this company and I suggest that you don t either.

got there as the store was opening, no wait for help. although there was not anything in used stock that fit what I was looking for, the salesman took his time to explore different options I have confidence that I will use Adorama in the future for purchases.

Dealing with Adorama was one of the worst (THREE MONTH!) experiences I have ever encountered from a business.
I sent in my Camera, two lenses (brand new) to see what kind of trade in value I could get.
I turned down their offer and asked for my equipment back.
When I finally received everything back,
I was missing my camera battery, my lens hoods, and my lens filters, then I noticed they damaged one of my lenses.
When they finally agreed to replace that lens,
I sent it back (in its original canon box) and what I received was a used lens wrapped in bubble wrap (without the original box), I couldn t believe my eyes,
It s like they were doing it on purpose, just to be nasty.
I will never do business with them again and if I were you, I would stay far away from them and I believe they sell refurbished gear as new.

This is a scam store. I ordered some stuff from them and it had missing items. I returned the ordered and they gave me store credit instead of refunding the amount. Their customer service is messed up as well. 5 different people contact you with different information so you are not sure whats going on. Stay away people.

Dropped a lens and thought it was broken for good. The UV filter shattered out and the ring was stuck in and bending the lens into an oval shape. It was fixed in under an hour and like brand new! Very cheap repair as well.

Worst customer care service ever! Ordered a Yamaha receiver and it did not ship to right address after 3 attempts it went back to them , when i called the service to direct the package once they received the shipment to my address , they are asking me to contact ups for no reason. Doesn t make any sense !
It s a hassle to get the refunds as well. You will find better deals and better customer service in many other competitors not worth your time!

I'm surprised by the number of negative reviews on Adorama as I have placed several orders with them over the past months and all have been received quickly and well packaged. Although B&H is usually my go to retailer for photo gear, I've noticed that lately Adorama has offered some very interesting deals, - and importantly for me, their accidental damage insurance cover through New Leaf is significantly cheaper and in some cases included at no additional cost. I have contacted customer service on a couple of occasions and concede that the Adorama staff are nowhere near as knowledgeable as the guys at B&H, but other than that the company seems trustworthy and I'll continue to buy from them where they offer a better deal. I've accrued a couple of hundred bucks in rebates on the gear I've bought so far, so I will also enjoy getting some new toys free of charge! :)

Won't allow returns. I spent $800 on a new camera, lens, tripod, and 2 batteries. The batteries didn't fit the camera. I asked to return them 2 days after receiving them. They wouldn't allow me to return 1 of the batteries because I had opened it. Next time I will buy from Amazon or B & H Photo.

Best part is I am located in Jersey and Adorama in NY....When I call the customer service, they give me the same old scripts and no action has been taken yet. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS

I bought my first DSLR (Pentax K-50) from Adorama in 2014 and I have bought other items from them also. I have bought my second Pentax (K-70) from them . When I have called Cy is the one to whom I speak and he has always been very pleasant and also very helpful.
I also enjoy their educational programing.
I have not been to the store proper but, the photos that are on their site are very impressive--- May be one of these days.

Closes early, closes several days and full weeks in September, no information given at all when making online orders. Completely shut down at 4:00PM on a Friday, not updated on Google Maps, of course. Several angry customers at the door.

first time having photos printed in the city - was referred to adoramapix - needed huge prints for a wedding within 24 hours - submitted them online, picked up the next day. was super nervous and freaking out about how they would look/how the mounting would look. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! Totally great, cheap prints for all the photographers out there. Quick and high quality. :]

Impossible to speak with an store associate that is physically located at the Manhattan store.
Each time I call someone in another country answers the phone and declines to transfer me to the store and hang up.
Can Adorama provide their customers a direct phone number for their Manhattan store so it can be easy to buy specific items that are not in your webpage????

A mixed bag for me. No real problems with ordering and customer service respond in a decent amount of time, but I absolutely do not trust them for used products anymore. I've purchased two on camera flashes from them, one E+ condition and one OB. One arrived not functioning, one broke after a single use. So decent customer service, but QC is terrible.

So I requested New Leaf team to help me put just the rubber because I spent 200$ for warranty. They wrote me back is it s not covered by warranty. Item sent with delay and in addition to that to the wrong address, upon contact been told that they first need to receive item to send it back to me (which might take extra 1 week - 10 days) or if I demand refund, will only issue refund after they receive item. It is completely unacceptable because I never received item.
Will never shop from Adorama, I prefer to buy from B&H and get it next day.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. I purchased a TV online from them and it was supposed to be delivered on the 11th. It is the 12th and the shipper said they would get it to me on the 19th.. Maybe.. I called Adorama to discuss this and they kept putting me on hold and talking over me. I finally asked to speak to a supervisor and they said sure.. Then they hung up on me. I called back and I was again on hold for about 45 minutes and then they said they would take my number and have someone call me back.. That unfortunately never happened. This company does not care about there customers. I would avoid this customer no matter the cost savings they are touting.

It's a great machine, only thing I'm still not ecstatic about was that they didn't post details on the ram speed, And I was hearing great things about the stock cooler for the ryzen 2700x and was surprised when there was a cooler master one instead, without RGB.

Overall, the machine is quiet, and the 1070 ti was very easy to overclock to match the specs of a 1080 OC card. I wish the ssd was an m.2 nvme, but i will upgrade that in the future. The 2400mhz ram is not fast, but I will change that out when memory prices drop, and the 64gb limit is great.

The keyboard and mouse are ok, not wonderful, but the mouse has on-the-fly dpi adjustment, it's not particularly high dpi though, I think I read that it's around 3000-4000, but I don't know for sure.

But overall, happy with the purchase, easy and delivered within the week.

Ordered a glimmerglass 3 filter I needed for a shoot. Website said in stock and I paid 2 day shipping on Monday to make sure it would arrive for the weekend. Adorama never responded and it's friday and still no filter. I called them and they keep trying to send me to phillipine based call centers. Maybe they are a few bucks cheaper, but other stores care about their customers. I would pay an extra 5-10 bucks to actually get my equipment when I need it, and if I don't, I'd rather talk to an american than a call center that can't do anything to help.

They take your money and deal with not having the product after the fact. Deceptive sales at best. Says available and ready to ship on a camera bundle. Even on the final purchase page it doesn't mention that an item is back ordered/pre-order. Only when delivered do I find out items were not available because they are missing from the order.

I get everything done here. Classy clean and modern. Knowledgeable staff. Services keep expanding and new frame collection is top notch. I've yet to master file transfer but it's available. Team of specialist are calm, helpful, creative and knowledgeable. It's a pleasure to come here. I've yet to try framing services but hope to soon.

Terrible experience. Customer service team will not call me back and let me know when my item will arrive. They debited my account 2 weeks ago but have not shipped my item and don't know where it is. They have been deceitful from day 1 from when I ordered it (20 days ago). Now they just ignore my requests for help track the item even from their customer service management.

HORRIBLE customer service. No 7 day a week support (they take fridays off) When you call for help all departments have different open times. They shipped my order in 2 shipments because one part was on back order which they didn't tell me before hand. when I called for help they told me they couldn't help. this isn't the 1st time I have had bad service with them. The 1st time I figured someone was just having a bad day and decided to give them a second chance well that didn't go well either. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!! Take your money to someone who wants it, someone who is willing to help you if you have questions. Spend your money where your a customer and not just a number.

Sold a lens and bought one. This place has excellent and knowledgeable sales people and I was thoroughly satisfied with the deal I got. This is what I would recommend....Work out exactly what you need in your photo video equipment and they can get equipment to your exact needs.

After 10 days waiting on an item they have in stock I still don't have it and don't have a tracking number that gives me any meaningful information. Keep in mind the drive to their store is less than 12 miles.

Dealing with this company as part of my work, I found then to be rude, inept and the cause of many frustrations. Their customer service staff in general made you feel as if you were an inconvenience and NEVER gave a straight answer to questions regarding back orders.

It is with pleasure that I have sourced a new supplier and will never utilize Adorama's services again.
