Service department has very poor customer service ...

Service department has very poor customer service and even worse price gouging. I was charged $800 for a fuel sensor in which didn t fix the problem. I immediately noticed the issue and brought it back from a mile off site. During two weeks in a rental I called several times for an update with no return call. They said they had been trying to reach me. The service tech Andrew didn t put my new number in the system and was trying to call the old number. Andrew wrote my new number on the paper upon checking in and forgot to update the system. They refused to credit the $800 and tried to make me pay the $900 Rental. They/ I reluctantly agreed on a service exchange for $500 in lieu of me suing. An oil change and a 5 point inspection later I m told the credit has been used. I would never bring a vehicle to them again.

When everything was done my price was exactly what I was told it would be. I left totally satisfied. Well done GMC, I will continue to use you for my automotive needs.

I went there and I was greeted by two very caring salesmen; Alex and this funny guy from Italia. Great gents that gave it too me straight, helped me find what I was looking for, and at a great deal! Almost instantly I felt like they cared about my wallet and ultimately for what I was searching. Sadly the car I really wanted was sold right before my eyes.Yet that didn't stop Alex from helping me get a time frame to when I would be able to come back and snag the model for myself. I'd recommend this place to anyone; even if it was solely on the premise that these two salesmen understand that it was never about the car to begin with, it was me!

I purchased a 2011 Buick Enclave in September, 2011. After the purchase, the sales representative thoroughly explained all of the features and controls, and set up our Onstar account. After a few months we had a recurring, intermittent problem with the automatic door locking/unlocking system in the front passenger door. Ian Roberts, in the service department, and the service technician worked with GM engineers to fix the problem after numerous visits. We were frustrated but Ian was always calm and assured us that they would stay on the problem until it was fixed, and they did. I appreciate their persistence. Everyone at this dealership is friendly and treats you with respect.

My "go to" salesman, Sam Esposito has always been pleasant, helpful and professional in his negotiations with me, I deal with the public on a daily basis in my job. And my experience with Sam has made it so that I have gone out of my way to recommended him to others that I meet in my day to day life. Sam always makes sure I understand all of the details of the deal that he can offer me. I have always walk away feeling that I have been dealt with in an honest and fair manner. Would ve been nice if they just gave me their Internet price but I felt like I was taken for a ride on this deal. I came into this dealership after reading some reviews online. I am happy to say that my experience was great!!! My wife and I were in a situation where we needed to trade in the two vehicles we had and go down to one. My salesman PJ was great, I spoke with him on the phone to explain my situation and needs and we set up an appointment for me to come in and look at a couple cars. He was very patient with me as I changed my mind several times and test drove several vehicles. He was very knowledgeable about all the vehicles and answered all my questions. My wife and I have purchased 20+ cars in the last 15 years and I can honestly say that this was one of my best overall experiences if not the best. I feel pretty confident in saying any future purchased for my family will be made at this dealership.

My husband and I drove 2 hrs from Tallahassee to Gainesville for a car that we had already been approved for/ credit run for/ hearts set on. Just to find out that they were in the process of selling that same car to another couple. Even though we were already committed to the car and had obtained financing before them!. After being informed that we were on our way, the dealership then informed this other couple of our intent to buy. This customer lived nearby and naturally raced in to close the deal only minutes before we arrived. We had no idea there was even another couple interested. Had we known we could have closed finances over the phone before driving there. We would have had the same opportunity to get ahead of the car as they did. We found out about this couple as we were pulling into the lot. The dealership hadn t even run their credit yet. They saw us walk through the doors and proceeded a quickly as possible with this other buyer. Considering we already had financing, already had an appointment and had driven 2 hrs we should have been first in line for the car. Or we, at the very least, deserved the same courtesy that couple received, which was a simple phone call!!! Why were they privy to a heads up about our intent to buy but we were not privy to their intent??? We had the appointment first, the financing first!!! We just didn t live in town and had to drive a lot further to obtain the car! If anyone deserved a phone call it was US! They want to make themselves feel better by saying they can t hold a car and first come first serve but we weren t coming to just test drive a car. We did and said everything imaginable to show we were coming to BUY! We had a bill of sale we had financing!!! We could have closed over the phone had we known. HAD WE RECEIVED THE SAME PHONE CALL THAT COUPLE RECEIVED! But at the end of the day they don t care about the customer, they only care that they made the sale. So unless you live within walking distance of this place don t waste your time buying a bottle of water let alone a car from this dealership! They don t care about you or your inconveniences, only the SALE! And some people are just better than you and deserve phone calls that you apparently don t.

Simply the best car buying experience I ve ever had. I had an appointment with Rachelle at 4pm and within 3 hours I was on my way in my new truck. Rachelle answered all my questions, was very polite and professional, and made the process of buying a truck super easy and without the added stress of the typical pushy car salesman . I will be back for service and any future new/used car needs.

Car shopping is never fun for me, I absolutely hate the whole process. With that said... they did a wonderful job getting me into a vehicle I love! Negotiations were stressful and there were some hiccups but I know I got the best possible deal for my vehicle. I have to commend the leadership team for following through on a promise offered that was a miscommunication. They really took care of me and proved that they care about their customers and put them 1st. Thank you for making it right! I would recommend this dealership for your next car shopping experience. I bought a car from them. The salesman that I had was great. He made jokes, was knowledgeable about my purchase and was very patient and answered every question that I had. The only reason that I deducted stars was because the vehicle was supposed to be "detailed" but when I picked it up the next day after signing their were masks left between the seats on the inside, crumbs of some sort were left inside and the steering wheel had a sticky substance (hopefully Bar-B-Q sauce) on and by one of the buttons which made it a stick so it was hard to push down. When my salesman called to follow up with me about my experience, I told him about it and he told me to bring it back so they could take care of it. I did so the same day, they took care of vacuuming but you could tell they didn't touch the steering wheel. I just said that i would get a good detailing and let that be that.

They addressed all of my concerns promptly and were a pleasure to work with. My previous negative experience was the only one I have had in 2 years and I am so pleased that they rectified the situation. Thank you, Kim! I scheduled my appointment online with Kim Murscoe and was disappointed to be told when I arrived that she was on vacation. There must be a way to list the actual service adviser availability for appointment scheduling. I was greeted by Matt (although he was not the service writer who handled my ticket) and I found him to be incredibly unprofessional, calling me "dear" multiple times. I requested an oil change, tire rotation, and estimate to replace one of my mirrors. I thought the work had been performed correctly; however, on the way to work this morning, the low air pressure warning came on for BOTH of my front tires, which tells me that my tire pressure was not checked. Further more, when I opened the back driver side door to get my work bag out of the car, I noticed that there are large drops of oil all over the door frame, just waiting to get on my kids' shoes and tracked into my car or home. I am incredibly disappointed in my most recent experience with your service department.

Very impressed with this dealer and our salesman Kevin. We drove from Jacksonville and I'm so glad we did. We bought a used 4Runner and had the car inspected by our local dealer who said the car was flawless.
No high pressure sales tactics, just honest people building a business one customer at a time. I will definitely be back as dealers like this are hard to find.

Where to start...Took my Dodge Journey in for misf...

Where to start...Took my Dodge Journey in for misfiring. Paid $119 for diagnostic test for the "head" mechanic to explore the issue. Stated, " oil seeping into cylinder, suggestion to replace engine, New $6100 or Used $3800". No other solution to problem. So I take to local mechanical shop, diagnose it was 323rd cylinder misfiring and only required tune up and spark plugs...cost $315! NO OIL ANYWHERE IN MY ENGINE. These mechanics at GMC did not even look into the 3rd cylinder at all. And to top it it They left the cap off my fluid container and I rode around for an entire day and my anti freeze completely evaporated on one of the coldest days in Gainesville!

Also received multi point inspection which included all incorrect information. Everything they stated needed attention was not even 2 months old...brakes, windshield wipers, etc

Please retrain your mechanics or hire some more.

I recently had a problem with the DEF system on my truck. I was on interstate 75 South of Ocala. After several unsuccessful calls to local GMC dealers I found myself talking to Kim in your service department. Since it was Saturday and they close at 4:00 , time was critical since I was near Ocala.
I arrived at Gainesville GMC expecting it to be closed. Not only was Kim still there, bit Brian, one of the service technicians also stayed late.
They scanned the system and determined what was wrong. Since they couldn't do anything till Monday, I got to spend some time in Gainesville.
Monday morning, I got my truck in and repaired and was on my way. Seems like you can't even open the hood on a Duramax for under a grand these days. My bill was 800 and change.
In closing, I'd like to say a big thank you to Kim and Brian for going above and beyond the call and I think they should be recognized for their efforts.

I purchased a GMC Terrain from G'ville Buick approx 2 years ago with an extended warranty and it was a very pleasant experience however the service after the sale has been a total disappointment. I refinanced my car 2 weeks ago and was told by the bank representative and the Extended Warranty Co to contact the orginal dealership (Gville) and speak with a finance manager and they would take care of the extended warranty cancelation and get the refund issued accordingly. I have made 7 calls in a 5 day time frame and no one will return my call. The phone receptionist knows me personally at this time and has apologized each time I call and says she's appalled at their lack of follow up. I guess if they are not making money off of you they no longer have any use for you. Lesson learned.

I had my car towed here one night because it wouldn't shift. After realizing they would be closed since it was Sunday i attempted to troubleshoot the issue myself to see if i could find the problem.

After about 5 minuets i found the problem. It was really simple and just a small broken part, i removed the broken part and bought a new one for under a dollar. I did not have time to do it myself so i had to leave my vehicle there for them to complete the repair.

on monday i recived a call saying there was an extensive problem with my transmission and would need a whole new one for almost $2000.00 USD. Then as if knowing i would never be able to pay that, they offered to "take the car off my hands". They were trying to sell me a car.

I asked to speak with the technician who diagnosed the issue. When i asked him a more detailed description of the issue, he said "something had come apart in the transmission."

it was really obvious they had just assumed that and had not actually looked at my car, they were just trying to offer me the most profitable option for themselves.

I took it to a local mechanic and they confirmed what i had thought the issue was, they completed the repair for $267.00 USD including towing costs.

This GMC dealer was just attempting to take advantege of me as they probably do with many others. I was forced to pay $100.00 USD for a diagnostic fee when it was CLEARLY diagnosed incorrectly.

We have finally concluded a failed business transaction with one of the worst businesses we have ever dealt with. The people at Gainesville GMC/Buick are clearly from another species of human than the rest of us. They have no concept of the truth and so idea of ethical business practices. The litany of what I consider to be lies and the deceitful, duplicitous business practices is just never ending.

Why someone has to play all these silly games is just bafflingly. We were more than ready to purchase a vehicle for a fair price but these people have no understanding of the word fair. You have to look very very deep into the teeny tiny fine print to get to what they are doing. It is just so ridiculous.

This is just a short list of some of the untruths we were told:

They listed the vehicle for different prices on different sites. Facebook, their own website and the Gainesville Market site all had different prices.

Told our son they had just gotten the car in. Told me they had had it for 42 days. CarFax doesn t agree with either number.

Sales agreement showed different numbers than our verbal conversation.

We requested that the sale take place through overnight mail with our son picking up the vehicle at completion. Salesperson said NO we had to physically be present. This is ridiculous as we have done all sorts of business via email, scanned documents and overnight delivery. We even sold a condo completely electronically. Duane the manager finally agreed to send contract by overnight mail. I made three trips to the Post office over the weekend and the package never arrived.

Because of all the delays caused by them we asked that the vehicle be delivered to our home 90 miles away. Duane said he was just a small dealer and could not help us. The website for this company shows a huge dealership with a large inventory. Once again Duane had lied to us. I bought a Toyota handicap van 2 years ago from a dealership that was in a converted 7-11. They made two trips to show us the vehicle and deliver it from Winter Haven which is 70 miles from our home. That transaction went very smoothly and we are still recommending them to others.

Salesperson said we had to send the purchase amount in full before they would mail contract and sales agreement. They already had a $500 deposit. Duane finally said they would mail sales agreement overnight (to the same place he couldn t overnight the sales documents to) and it could all be returned with payment.

Sales manager called on Monday April 9th and said they were refunding credit card immediately because they Couldn t make us happy . Based on our experience so far with these people I opened a dispute with USAA for the credit card charge. After holding deposit from April 7 until April 21 the Credit Card was finally refunded. We had made multiple requests by text, FB Messenger and email for refund and an explanation of why they took so long. NEVER received an answer.

All the time that they held our deposit and were stringing us along they continued to show the car as being for sale. We are firmly convinced that this is the reason they canceled our sale. They had another buyer on their string. As of 4/30/18 the vehicle is STILL advertised for sale on their sites!

Businesses like this that prey on people are a disgrace. The only defense we small folk have is to vote with our feet and refuse to participate in this BS. There are too many reputable businesses in this world to have to subject yourself to this BS and corrupt practices

Matt knows his job well and makes the whole finance process a little less stressful. I enjoyed the experience, went to one other lot and before we got out of our car had sales people walking over to us, we didn't get out of the car at that point, just drove off. Asked to see the results of 150 point inspection didn t get one. Asked for list of what the 150 point inspection included didn t get one. Didn t disclosed it before I made the drive. Didn t even get the salesman I originally spoke with prior to getting to the dealership. And he wasn t busy.

Both their sales and service departments stive for satisfactory results both at the time of service and through follow ups. The line for service was long and the service advisor, Timothy Douglas, who took care of me also had a line of customers waiting on him ahead of me. Tim was courteous and friendly to all of us and the service was faster than expected. I was back on the road in about an hour and I would definitely stop by for more service in the future if necessary.

If you go to Gainesville Buick GMC for service be sure to ask for Stephen Berrios. My truck was having transmission problems for months and GM/Chevrolet Engineers could not fix the problem. Stephen stuck by me and worked with GM until he got my transmission replaced. Stephen is a great advocate for the customer and wants to satisfy your need. Went to Davis Cadillac with my XTS 2 visits over course of 2 oil changes (~15,000 miles) & each time asked that touchscreen be repaired under B2B warranty! All I got was pushback each time (stupid excuses like wipe screen with synthetic screen cloth / cleaner) They did paid work but never even seriously investigated warranty repair requests!
Took XTS to Gainesville Buick GMC for next oil change & touch screen was replaced under warranty no problem! I'll never go back to Davis! Gainesville Buick GMC is the place for service on any GM brand vehicle!

He was able to get us financed for a better rate than our local credit union. This was EXACTLY what we wanted. An awesome place if you are looking for a new Buick or gmc. They work with you and try to get you into the best vehicle and payment plan to fit your needs. I was a lil more complicated and ran into some issues. My sales rep Steve Burton got me into the car of my dreams. But then I ran into some issues and Matt Like helped me sort them out. First negative review I ve ever written but I feel like other people should be aware- I can t say anything for the sales side b/c I bought my car in another state, but since I moved here a year and a half ago my experiences with the service department have been pretty bad. Each time I went was just for a routine oil change/tire rotation for which I scheduled online at a specific time. Every time I went, I not only waited a minimum of an hour and a half, but also was barely acknowledged by anyone working there, even if they weren t with another customer. I felt pretty uncomfortable and like my time and business wasn t important to them at all. After the last visit I finally decided to try a new place and am I glad I made the switch!! Come to find out, not only is their customer service terrible, but apparently so is their actual car service! They d put the wrong oil filter and oil in my car! I m at least lucky it didn t do any damage, but to say I was mad is an understatement. Don t go here for your Buick service- find a good local place that actually cares and will give both great customer and car service!

It is with great joy and excitement that I am giving this dealership a five star!!I wish I could give it ten (5 for the dealership itself and 5 for Mr. Al Hunter). I had the best experience purchasing my very first vehicle at Gainesville Buick GMC. Everyone was so nice and friendly and helpful. I truly believe that God sent me to this place for a reason and I am happy to have Manna (my car) home with me. I purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Spark and I am loving it thus far. It's been a day now since I brought her home. I am thankful to Mr. Al Hunter and also Brandon for being so patient with me and all of my inquiries. You guys rock!!
