Still waiting on my car with less than 20K miles, still under warranty, to be returned. It's day 40 today which prompts me to write the feedback.
I took my Ford Focus electric in because there was some slightly louder noise coming out of the motor. Diagnosis was new motor and transmission and they needed Ford Motor to approve. Two or so weeks for approval, parts backordered and such I still don't have my car.

Update: I did get my car back soon after posting to social media. Posting to Google and Facebook brought action I couldn't as a lowly customer. I would avoid "The Ford Store San Leandro when shopping for a car.

They did offer to extend my warranty time a little as compensation. I didn't take them up on that offer. I'm done with Ford.

Paul from sales is super helpful. He made sure I was comfortable purchasing my vehicle and didn't pressure me into anything. Tomas from finance was also very helpful. These guys had me in and out of the store. I'm so happy with my new purchase. These guys are amazing!

Kept vehicle over night after specifically saying I needed it back. Wasn't happy about 2 days wasted. The people are courteous & helpful. They listened well when I bought 2 vehicles in 2 years but not when I make a specific request.

It's a little confusing when you first arrive for service. I think signage indicating something like "Welcome...Please turn off engine and a service advisor will be with you shortly " would be nice.

Paul was great. He explained what was going to be done to my car. In fact, each time we spoke he took his time to explain and answer my questions. He was busy but didn't rush you.

I don't like the layout of the lobby. Too crowded and challenging to flow from the door to Cashier, parts, etc. Also walking in you don't know where to go. The morning I arrived to drop my car off Paul told me to go to the cashier however the gate was only partially opened and the first of the office seems perturbed that I have been directed There When apparently they were not open yet. However, there were no hours posted.

Appallingly bad service. I've taken my Ford Escape here a few times and come away each time dismayed by the level of incompetence and Inattention. Most recently, they asked me to wait a week for an appointment to repair or replace a defective part. One would think that, during that 7-day period, the service department would arrange to obtain the needed part. NOPE. I had to leave my car for 2 days simply because they simply failed to do something so simple--make sure to have the part needed. In my experience, this is typical. More incredible, it took me an hour on the phone to get a status report on the repairs. I've had several vehicles over many years, San Leandro Ford is BY FAR, the worst dealership I've ever dealt with.

How hard is it to find out if you're stocked with a recall part before you have the client come in? Apparently it's pretty hard or hasn't been thought of by this and surrounding Ford dealers. Second time I've been set up with a recall appointment and upon arrival, been turned away because they didn't have the part. Toyota's figured this out. Why can't Ford? Wasting people's time.

Service Center has changed management at least twice while my Ford Flex has been held captive for the last 2 months! Limited to no communication. They have not been responsive nor supportive while my car has been in their hands for this time. Said several times they would cover a rental for me and again no follow through. I would not recommend this place to anyone! This experience has impacted my family as we did not have a car for Thanksgiving, Christmas and now New Years!

Last year I brought my 2011 Explorer to the San Le...

Last year I brought my 2011 Explorer to the San Leandro service dept. for basic service and for repairing a broken 3rd row seat back. Willie Pate was the service advisor who assisted me. I was given a rental car through a company across the street. The regular service plus an adjustment to sync system was completed but took near 5 days. Although the rental car should have been completely covered through my extended warranty plan, they left me with the bill for 2 days. Willie told me he would look into the rental car bill issue. He also said it would cost well over $500 to fix the 3rd row seat and a few weeks wait for the part as well as needing to send the vehicle out to a specialty upholstery shop to do the job.
To make a very LONG painful story short, although Willie was a nice enough guy, he was unable to get it together to fix the seat and was unreliable with the follow through with calling me when promised and ordering. The part was ordered wrong 2-3 times despite me bringing the vehicle in 3 times. Along the way I had to track down Don Andrade, the service manager, who said he would help but was also just as unreliable and I had to initiate all contact with him except for maybe one call back from him. S.L. Ford decided after several months of stringing me along, that they could not fix the seat and to go elsewhere. On top of that they lost my keys for 40 minutes one morning and made me late for work. Bottom line, S.L. Ford blew me off. They still owe me $ for 2 rental car days and strung me along for SEVERAL months while I had a non-functional broken seat.
My advice, go to Albany Ford, they diagnosed the broken seat part and for $100 I had it in 5 days. The kicker is, I installed the part myself in less then 10 minutes! Avoid S.L. Ford if you have any non-basic service needs.

The level of service has gone way down . The last 2 times I have taken my car in for service I never got a call back to let me know the status of my vehicle. I had to pester them and speak to a manager to get anywhere. They now have had my vehicle over 7 days for a simple repair. I have left multiple messages. No response. Terrible!

Dave, in the leasing department, was so patient and kind when I came in to trade in my expired leased Ford. He laid out all of my options in front of me and took the time to walk me through each scenario. I never felt pressured to lean in a certain direction when deciding whether to purchase or lease another Ford. Very pleased with my most recent experience here.

Worse Service and Part Department ever!! I ordered...

Worse Service and Part Department ever!! I ordered the aftermarket tow package (a Hitch) for my Ford Explorer. The part guy said it was easy to install and I could probably do it myself. So I ordered the part but realized when I was ready to install it, the hitch involved some body work with my bumper and it was NOT 'an easy install' as mentioned. So I call the Ford Service Department and make an appointment to have them install the tow package. When I went in, the Service Department looked at my paperwork and says that they don't install tow package. It involves body work and it's NOT an easy install so it needs to be outsourced. So I asked why did you accept my appointment when you knew that I wanted my hitch installed. The service guy says that the receptionist don't know what she doing (I have a feeling everybody in this place doesn't know what they are doing). Feeling a bit frustrated, I decided to go back to the Part Department and return the hitch. O'course the Part department says that I can't return it because I opened the box already. Unbelievable!!!! This is why I will never buy a Ford again. FORD SAN LEANDRO SUCKS!!!!

Very please with the service advisor. Everyone was vey friendly and helpful. I'll always come back at this dealership. Also, my son is very happy with his first lease of his 2020 Ford Fusion. Great sales crew. Salesman David Gonzalez, Finance Mgr. Ron dela Paz and sales managers Tolga, Wison & Gus were all fantastic. Great overall experience.

We took our 2011 Ford fiesta there for a recall that never got fixed. They recommend investigating the problem further and asked that I give authorization for my credit card to be billed $1900 upfront. The fee is just to "look at what's going on". If it's recall related, they will fix it and I pay flat fee plus tax of $1900 only.
If not then I pay $1900 plus the cost of part and repair.
And this is how the service manager would like to help me : $100 discount off of service or get a new Ford by trading in the one I have.
What makes him think I'd want to do that when they can't even stand behind their priduct ?????
Thiis 7yr old car is very well maintained with only 70k mi. I hope the owner of this dealership reads this review and really takes notice of how people run his business. As of this minute, my car is still there as it is very dangerous to drive but I don't have $1900 lying around so I have to take it back. If I should get into an accident, I will surely have someone to blame.

I dont "hate" this place. I'm not condemning them. The people are very cordial. They just knowingly sold me a lemon and did not forewarn me. Then promptly sold me the biggest and best top of the line extended warranty but what good is it if they dont have the knowledge to fix the problem? In 8 months on 4 seperate occasions theyve had it in service for grand total of 28 days. and each time returned it to me in a worsened condition! Last time it was in service for 2 weeks and said "sorry, the mechanic was on a one week vacation." 3 days later i returned it to service and they kept it for 3 more days because "they forgot to bolt down the flex plates." This is my first experience with FORD.

Billy changed my perception of bringing a car for ...

Billy changed my perception of bringing a car for service a dealer store. I came in to get an oil change for my 2018 Fusion. I'm new to the area and I walked in and wandering around looking for someone and he greeted me and asked if I need help? I been in the service industry for a long time myself so when he greeted me, I know that Billy understand customer service! However, I really just wanted an oil change because I was pressing time but he showed me the options and price difference and made a lot sense and he did not pressure me in buying it. He explained it very well and that's what I want from a service advisor who can convince me. I hate going to a dealership and talking to someone who doesn't know what their talking about to sell and then their attitude change when you won't go their plan. Billy is excellent service advisor and he's good of what he does. If I have mechanic shop I would lure him to come and work for me. :-) Thank you, Billy and hope you enjoyed that lunch meal!

I have bought two cars from this dealership. Both times my salesman Danny Gol had my car waiting for me and put me through full instruction as to how to use all the new features. It took me more time to learn how to use my sync 3 than it took me to sign papers. I was out of there in no time. Both times I was the thoroughly pleased with my car and happy with my salesman.

Last December traded in my Ford Fusion that was leased from another dealership in South Bay in which refused to take it back even on leasing contract!. San Leandro ford helped me avoid a nightmare. The return of my fusion was smooth and excellent service. I will only do business with this ford dealership. I ve bought vehicles from others but this one is the best.
Also purchased my new F150 truck from here short time later. I had a transit van that I was trading in once again excellent service!. Couldn t be happier.

I did not have a good experience with the service ...

I did not have a good experience with the service portion of this dealership. It took a whole hour past my scheduled appointment to be spoken to about what my car needed which made me late for work. The two issues with my car had to do with my AC and my radio, and they inspected it and told me they couldn't reproduce the problems, but charged a thing or two and told me it was ready for pick up. They charged me over $400 for this "inspection", and right as I drove away my speakers blew out just like they have been before I took it in. Also, since the Bay area had another hot week with temperatures reaching the high 80s, I tried using my cars AC and sure enough it wasn't working properly. I just spent over $400 for nothing to change and now I have to take my car in somewhere else and spend more money for things to actually get fixed. I am very disappointed and frustrated with this experience.

worst car service ever and do not recommend this location for anyone. my car is with them for over 2 months now, no follow up at all , i call everyday calls gets transferred to service than manger as if i'm playing a game or something. I left several messages to Ryan the worst manager ever who NEVER returned my call. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, 2 girls avoid my call because they see it on the caller ID, i would never hire such people with no heart. I'm also in customer service and know how it feels to be avoided. i have a problem with my ford fusion and got stuck on freeway on the San mateo bridge but they don't care at all, they sent me home at least 8 times i went for them problem, not once check my car but reply was oh can't see any issue in 5 minute drive test and your engine light is not on. After a year engine light was on than they said oh we care for your safety lets fix it oh sorry your warranty is over you have to pay i mean seriously, same thing i came for almost for a year. Nice gentleman helped me today and said my car was never worked on and still parked there and all this time the 2 girls ignored and the manager as well. trust me i don't have time to fake things and go to you guys if i have problem than i will you work for ford it's your job to service car and if you don't like what you do than don't work. Ford is the worst company to work with, i got so many recalls, so many issues and i'm done. i wish i could post my video for you all to see but please don't buy ford, you better off going with a cheap brand probably better than this shity cars they make plus hire unprofessional people and can;t even help customer when they really have issues. No wonder why so many people are suing ford, i will totally do the same if knew how the steps are. i honestly had the worst experience with ford and this location, THE WORST. i have been without car at my own expense for over 2 months called every week sometimes 5 times a day but NO REPLY from anyone there. i feel like they stole my car from me by them. i was treated so horribly and will never work with ford ever again if my life neither will recommend anyone. i wish i could give them no star:(

I WAS TOLD TO "F...K OFF" by a San Leandro Ford L...

I WAS TOLD TO "F...K OFF" by a San Leandro Ford Lincoln sales person.

After reading the other 1 star comments about this FORD STORE - I am not surprised that a salesperson who tells customers to F OFF is still selling cars on this campus.

On Tues Feb 24th 2015 at 10am - I took my 2011 Ford Focus in for some repairs that only Ford could cover since it was a transmission issue.

As I pulled into the lot - I saw a lone salesperson smoking a cigarette out front of their main sales show room - I said hi and asked him if he knew that some items on a FORD car can only be repaired by a FORD dealership, he responded by telling me he did not know that. I then mentioned "for a guy selling FORDS for living he should know that". He responded with "well why don't you just f..k off" - I was blindsided with that remark, I sort of lost my moment, but as I walked away from the well dressed FORD salesman - I did say "you be sure to share that to the next person you sell a FORD too", and he walked away.

I am sure, I am not the first customer he has cursed at. Fearing the salesperson might deny we ever talked, or confront me a second time, I did not report this incident til I got home later that morning. I was also not able to get his name since he walked away from me. I only had my description of him.

At about 2pm that same day I talked to the Sales Manager "Jay Z". He apologized the incident ever happen and agreed to look at the video his cams record playback to verify the incident was valid and to confirm what salesperson spoke with me. He told me he would call me back to discuss the issue after he spoke with the salesman in question. He did not call back, but when I called him a few hours later he did tell me that he suspended the salesman for 3 days.

I want to confirm that I really don't mind that this FORD salesman told me to F off - maybe I deserved it for bringing up the Transmission issue with FORDS. But what I am concerned about, as of this date is the fact that as you read my Yelp review this salesman is most likely telling other FORD customers to F OFF. And San Leandro FORD LINCOLN condones this - with a 3 day vacation.

I would hope this man has a desk job now and is not representing the FORD company with his fine sales techniques. I did follow up and called FORD Corp. - a Rep named "Mike" told me its a local issue and if they have no control of their salespeople and as far as corporate is concerned the issue is closed - GOOD DEAL -

The man in charge of sales and this campus is: Phil B. of San Leandro Ford Lincoln

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! To begin my horrible servic...

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! To begin my horrible service experience let's start with the fact that when I made my initial appointment I had to wait over 2 weeks just to get my car looked at. I brought my 2014 mustang gt with 10k miles (still under warranty) to Ford Store San Leandro service because the car was making popping/clunky noises from the transmission and a loud whining from the rear axle. Also the sync system kept freezing. After having the car for almost 2 weeks I finally got an update on my car. They tell me the loud clunking/popping/rattling from the transmission is "completely normal" and there's nothing they can do about it. However the rear axle whine was something they could fix with an axle rebuild. So about a week later I get my car back. When I went to pick up the car they told me that on the test drive they noticed a slight vibration but it was because my rear tires were out of balance. (Which is weird because the car was smooth as glass when I dropped it off). As I drove away and got on the freeway I noticed a horrible vibration starting at about 30mph that shock the whole car. So I did about 35-40mph as cars flew around me until I could get off the freeway and drove straight to America's Tire which was closed by the time I got there. The next day I took the day off work to go get the tires put on my car. They replaced the back tires and balanced all four. THE VIBRATION WAS STILL THERE!!! I immediately brought the car back to the Ford Store for them to fix it. A few days later I finally get an update. They said the center bearing on the drive shaft was bad, and since the back tires had been worn down with less than 15k miles it showed clear signs of abuse (even though the car has soft Pirelli p-zeros and a tight limited slip rear end that eats up tires and I've never raced or abused it) and that they shouldn't /didn't have to cover it under warranty, but they were going to do my a "huge favor" and cover it this time. So nearly a month after I first dropped off the car I finally get it back and it's driveable. However THE VIBRATION IS STILL THERE only now you don't feel it till 70 or 80. (yet the car was free of any vibration when I first brought it there) The rear axle whine is ALSO STILL THERE just not as loud. Plus the transmission noises are louder than theyve ever been. (Which was the main reason I brought it in in the first place). They did however fix the sync issue which was a simple update. PLUS! I now have a substantial scratch on my driver door that was not there before this whole experience!! To say my service experience is unexceptable is a huge understatement! Before this i was planning on buying a new Ford truck when I pay off the mustang. But now I will NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER FORD PRODUCT AGAIN!!!! ...Now I have to figure out if I'm going to trade the car in for something of higher quality to avoid these issues or fix the car myself so i can know it was done right!

This Ford store charged us $200 just to read our "check engine" light, not to fix anything. I'm absolutely dumbfounded by how that price was rationalized. Nothing even got fixed. Would have cost another almost $900 to fix the part, while our local mechanic has graciously offered to do the same work for closer to $500.

This is our second time purchasing a vehicle from The Ford Store San Leandro. Jalen Cook sold our car to us. He is very personable, attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly - everything we were looking for in a salesperson to help us make a decision. We are loyal to this dealership, and cannot recommend it enough to anyone who is interested in buying a Ford! Thank you Jalen and Ron!

They quoted me over 400 dollars to change a coolant reservoir, and add coolant on a 2014 Ford Focus. I bought the part, and coolant and had it done in 20 minutes. Total cost 118. 64 for part and coolant. I really don't know how you can justify that amount of money for labor, when it took me 20 minutes to do the job. The staff was nice, and friendly.

Fine service for Ford autos. ALWAYS busy. Everyone is always somewhat stressed in the service department. Confusing where to go and get help sometimes. Be prepared to wait 15 minutes, even with a scheduled maintenance appointment. That said, the service in through, professional and on point. Walk-able to San Leandro BART after you drop off your car. There are stores to shop in and food to eat nearby if you are waiting. I would recommend going elsewhere for oil changes (cheaper and faster.)

Just bought our car here for the first time and experienced a very professional and relaxed atmosphere. Our salesman, Alvin was courteous and made the whole process easy. Entire showroom staff was friendly and professional to customers and also importantly, to each other. Received what Kelly Blue Book said we should without hassle. Did look around at other manufacturers but decided to come back to Ford San Leandro and buy the car we like on the same day because of the natural, straight forward atmosphere there.

I visited the Ford Store in late January for recall service. The day after the service, my car was sluggish in starting. I did not have this problem prior to the recall service. I called my service adviser to tell him about the problem. He never called back. I found out later that he no longer worked there. I finally got in touch with someone else in service to let them know my car was not starting correctly as a result of the recall service. I was advised to come in and was told I did not need an appointment. I show up and the service person I saw told me I actually did need an appointment because "they were 3 days behind." More time wasted! I made an appointment for the next week, came in and explained my problem to the service person. After keeping my car for 2 days, I was advised that there was nothing wrong with my car and I was charged a $200 "diagnostic" fee for something they screwed up in the first placed while performing a FREE recall service. Do not bring your car here for service unless you don't mind being ripped off!!!

Used to provide good service I been there multiple times. They main reason why I drove my car to Ford is because of it is Ford's car And I believe Ford know their car better than any other Shop, but this time not real. I PAID $195 for Check up and after I call I stop by and ask for Diagnosis report been told Tie rod replacement needed (price labor & material) plus $149 for alignment , but I haven't received a report, I walk out of store and call next morning to advisory ( he real looks a nice guy).
after service done I drove my car for two day still I am experiencing the same noise - Really they don't know their cars and could fix their own car problem.

I paid over $700 and still I have the problem
They charge extra for alignment don't do alignment at Ford just cross the street Wheels Work are right there they will serve you better with a one year or life time alignment warranty

Oscar wasn't around and I think Jerry was who helped me. Came out the garage area stepped up and helped me right away. Called me an said car ready by 10am. It was ready! Nice! Great service all the way around! That's why I bought my last 2 cars here and continue my service with them too!

I got a sexy Stang from this store. Excellent service from Cynthia! Very responsive, very reasonable and cool person. Some salespersons just turn you off the minute you start talking to them but she's definitely not one of those. Worth the commute all the way from San Jose yo!

I bought my Ford Fusion in San Leandro and keep it serviced there for the best upkeep. I'm disappointed after making an appointment a week in advance and taking a morning off work I was told they are over booked. They wanted to send me downtown Oakland!!! Or maybe can get me done in 3 hours. Very dissapointing, I hope this is not a sign of how new management does business.

This is the second time I've ordered parts from them. Horrible service again. Expect delays. Especially if you need the part fast. At least call to keep me updated if things change. Dont wait until I contact you at the last minute wondering where my part is. I recommend ordering from ANYWHERE else first. I normally dont leave reviews. Good or bad. This got me really frustrated though.
