On July 15, 2016 my husband and I went to the Ford Store in San Leandro. To say the time we spent there was eventful is to say the least. We sat there for 6-7 hours trying to purchase a car. Eventually we were approved however we needed a cosigner. We were able to get a cosigner. We took the car and we're happy. Moving on we received paperwork from the dealer and was stunned to know that the financing department had switched my husband and the cosigner around on the contract. The cosigner became the primary applicant and my husband became the cosigner. This was done without our knowledge. We have been fighting with Chris the finance manager for weeks trying to get this fixed by rewriting the contract only to get run arounds, etc. To say that we were lied too and dupped is an understatement. I've heard of car salespersons being snakes and liers well I've experienced first hand with Chris and Alphonso and the rest of the staff there. Don't buy cars from them. Customers taken advantage off!!!!!

Couldn't even get through to make an appointment. The service department woman who answered was rude and hung up on me before I could set an appointment, so I called back and she kept putting me on hold. I finally decided to call the sales department to see if I could get help that way, and that woman transferred me to a voicemail that had no persons voice. It just beeped. I will NEVER go to this place. Thanks for saving me the headache of dealing with you idiots in person. Crappiest customer service ever!!

I went to a few Ford stores in the bay area and San Leandro was clearly the best-run, cleanest, and most comprehensive facility - much better than Fremont. I started with a 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium Energi and just upgraded to the 2016 for a pre-paid 3 year lease (leasing so if the batteries die I can give it back). I like the people at the San Leandro Ford store and I like the service I get there, and I feel like I've created strong connections with good folks.

If I could give them a 0 I would, we took our truck in yesterday to get an oil change. The women over the phone stated that if we printed out a coupon for the oil change we would get it for the price of 39.95 my husband left the vehicle behind and let me know it was going to be around $55 bucks! I called and spoke with Simon regarding the coupon that we printed out, he said it would normally by 39.95 but we needed an extra gallon of oil so that's why we were charged more (bullshit) when my husband came to pick up the truck, Simon himself let him know the pumps for the car wash were down and we couldn't get our car wash. This morning I called and spoke to the service desk and they clarified that the machines ARE WORKING and have not been down. I asked for a supervisor and they transferred me back to Simon. He stated that we have to request a carwash now but I just took my car in less then a month ago and they washed my car with NO issues. Simon took it personal and decided not to give us a carwash because of the conversation I had with him over the phone regarding a coupon. I am in customer service and trust me when I say his customer service sucks and takes things personal so be careful how you talk to "Simon" because he might mess around and mess up your car.

Bad nobody wants to do what they are supposed to do. Give you answers about you Vehicle and if you do not know it at least have an idea of who would have the answers to your questions. By the way, they are very irresponsible when you take your vehicle to service, it turns out that I took a bumper to my vehicle, which was my surprise that the next day when I picked up my car it was worse than I had left it lol thinking that the most usual would be that take it would be to improve it and aki it happened otherwise truly a disgust of work and everyone blaming themselves on who is the person responsible at the time of the hour nobody solves nothing lousy. The only thing I saw is that they treat you wonderfully to sell you a car but leaving there with your car and your debt they do not know you anymore it is a pity that such a place does not have professional people. The truth among car agencies only BMW and MBenz are the most professional and bad would not be because they are very good car.

I would love to give 5 stars but I still have 6 or 5 more services left . This is by far the best experience I've had here. Jonathan helped me out and he was very helpful and friendly so I didn't feel bad on asking questions I had. I went in for an oil change today and to see if my ac was ok cause i noticed a wierd smell from it. This is when I was blown away. I asked how long it would take and he said 2 hours because I had a car ahead Which is fine to me. So I said ok I'll just wait in the lobby to see if I would happen. I've always had to wait 4 to 6 hours here for oil changes at this place so I get a shuttle home. But not today. I only waited an hour and a half which is a huge deal and improvement to me. When I got my keys Jonathan let me know everything that I had serviced on my car and let me know what I will need in the future. Like I said I would to give a 5 star rating but I still have more visits left and hopefully I do give that rating in the future . Thank you guys at ford in san leandro for a good start in my day and i actually look forward to going again.

I get my oil changes and services done here. For the most part those seem to be relatively straight forward. I was pretty disappointed when it came to actually fixing anything theyre either inexperienced or incompetent. Which doesnt bode well for a Dealership. 1) my AC system went out at 112k miles. My Escape is 5 years old. Brought it back twice and it still doesn't work. 2) My battery died at less than a 100k miles. Opened it up and the cells were bone dry. I was fuming that I had been getting my servicing done there at all the mileage intervals the last one just a month prior to my battery dying. 3)My passengers sideview mirror motor, couldn't be fixed there. They just wanted to replace the entire unit... The Ford Store doesn't have mechsnics... They have parts changers... Bummer

My daughter set up an appointment to buy her first car today. When we got there Juan said they sold it to someone else. He did not call us and said there was nothing he could do. My daughter watched in tears as someone else drove away in the car she researched and set up an appointment to buy. This really sucked and turned what was supposed to be the best day into the worst.

I always make appointments before going to this specific ford dealership for service on truck. Sure enough it never fails they always keep My car for about 6 hour if not longer just for an oil change !!!!!. Very inconvenient place to take car for service . Never ready on time . I keep trying it a chance so i keep going back this is the 3rd time this happens . Never again bringing vehicle here again.

The only reason to stop by here is because of Mike. If you need a car purchased, go to him. He goes the extra mile to make sure you get a good deal and takes real good care of his customers. The service is a whole different story. Service is awful and you have to go there in person to get updates. Otherwise, forget about it. You will waste more money and time taking your car here than if you would have just taken it somewhere else. Avoid their service.

I've had consistently bad service from this dealership. No one ever has straight answers as to how long service will take or what is required to get the job done. I called up this morning to see if they bombed/detailed cars and it took three different people to answer my question and everyone acted like it was the most bizarre question. I'm not sure why I went back to them looking for answers again so this is my fault and will not be returning for service. I'll be going over the hill to Walnut Creek Ford where they have very punctual and personalized service!

I love this place, and I'm telling everyone I know about the Great Service that I received from THE SAN LEANDRO STORE...GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL AROUND THE BOARD!!! IN EVERY DEPT. THAT I HAVE VISITED SO FAR, STARTING WITH THE SALES DEPT. MR. SAM NOBLE AND THE GUY IN THE FINIANCE DEPT. WHAT A VERY SMOOTH TRANSACTION, THEN JUST THIS PASS WEEKEND THE SERVICE DEPT. I WAS SOOOOOO SATISFIED AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP IN THE CASHIER DEPT. MY, MY, A GREAT TEAM OF PEOPLE!!!

BUYER BEWARE! I brought my Focus for a 100k service. I was charged $1200. We asked that wipers be changed. We discovered they hadn't done that (on the freeway, in a rainstorm). The mechanic recommended (but did not document) motor mounts be replaced. A few weeks later, the car developed some significant motor missing issues. We called repeatedly, got no answers. (Literally - they did not return our calls). We brought the car to another mechanic (Car Care Service in Alameda) Blown head gasket and replaced the spark plugs (for an additional $670). I am left wondering whether we got charged $1200 for parking the car on the lot over night.

For my part - I had been bringing the car to the dealership under the mistaken impression that I would find a higher level of competence and customer service. This has not been my experience. (For the last 6 years or so customer service has been okay, after this last interaction I am left wondering about the premium I was willing to pay for competence.) Needless to say, I will no longer be doing business with this establishment.
I am recommending, actually requesting, that you avoid doing business with them.

If you really must do business with them, I highly recommend that you make sure you insist that all issues you want addressed are documented. Make sure if the service writer suggests a repair, that the recommendation is documented. Verify, verify, verify! And, if you feel, as I do, that you have been short-changed, contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair to help hold them to account.

An update. This review was posted Monday. I got a response today. Had this sort of communication been available say 6 weeks ago, I would not have felt compelled to post my views quite so publicly.
2nd Update. We did receive a call. The woman was astonishingly patient. Had this sort of outreach and communication been available awhile ago I would not have felt compelled to post this review - and keep it posted. I am adding a recommendation- posting this review got me the attention from the dealership that had been missing until I posted it. And I am still left wondering (but not, I must say, certain) that I paid $1200 for parking my car on their lot.- and a quick car wash.

I went for 60K miles service and because there s squeaking when going in reverse. Matt was very friendly, courteous, prompt and informative. Gave all options available. Took the free shuttle to Bart. I got a phone call early afternoon with status. My car was ready at the time specified and even a car wash. Overall service was excellent and brakes were ok although they couldn t tell me why it squeaks when backing out. Costs are a little high.

I had an appointment to drop of my car for service and it took an hour just to drop it off. When I came back to pick it up, no one knew how to charge the service to the FordPass Rewards. They asked me to wait an hour for their manager to come in. They rudely walked away from me several times without letting me know why they were walking away.

I would not have come to a Ford dealer if they didn t tell me my first 3 services were covered. Now I m not even sure if it s worth trying to use the points because it s such a hassle. I will not be returning to Ford San Leandro.

I read some of the reviews and have a hard time believing that those reviewers are writing about the same dealership. I had a problem with my Highlander related to an issue I should have gotten resolved - I wound up with my car on a flatbed tow truck.
I would say that Erik and the team in the service department gave me the very professional service . Everyone was polite, professional and got my car fully repaired in less than 24 hours. Everything was taken care of with a minimum of time and hassle.

I called the Ford Store in San Leandro, CA and scheduled an appointment for my 2019 Ford Fusion. The rep., on the phone was very courteous and professional, she made me feel understood in regards to the issue with my car. She scheduled the appointment the very next day.

The next day I was five minutes late and I didn't know where to meet the rep., and as I was walking I saw a rep., helping another customer, I let him know I had a appointment however, I didn't know who I was scheduled to meet. I said I thought the person name might be Allen, he said he would help me next. Then he said something like Billy, Willie. He seemed to be pretty busy with the couple he was serving, so I Left and went to the cashier's, gave her my information and she said the reps., was Billy. It was the same person I had just left. I went back to him and told him I would be waiting in the showroom lounge. After a while he called me in and said he needed to do something else with another car and he would be back shortly. While I was waiting for him another customer came in for an appointment. A rep., of the company came and asked if I'd been helped and where the rep., assisting me was. She left and came back to let me know he would be with me shortly. My car was kept overnight.

The next day when I picked up my car. I received paperwork from the cashier. They bought the car to me. No one explained to me, the work that was done on the car. I had to figure out how to reset my radio/sirrius. I would if have appreciated it more, had the notice on the dash been reset to the way it was when I dropped it off.

They had my vehicle for over a week and the whole time it was like pulling teeth to get a call back from anyone to give me a status update. When I finally got ahold of someone they couldn t give me straight answers about what they were doing or when I could get my car back. Not happy with the San Leandro Ford. Brought my 2017 Ford F-350 to get an oil change and filters replaced. I drive out now my advance trac / Hill descent and Hill assist earning lights came on. The then I bring it back so they can diagnose the issues! Their telling me it s my lift that causing the issue and will have to drop it regular height so they can do more diagnostic check!!! I got my truck out and will never ever go to that store. Top it off there was scratches on both sides of my truck when I picked it up. My attorney will get a hold of them for the damages and filed to Better Business Bureau. Very unhappy the way they treat their customers.

Warren Mitchell took my car in for a recall part. I wasnt able to pick my car up that afternoon, so they held it there overnight-well into the next afternoon. Thank you! THey informed me that i didnt need an oil change yet (which i signed up for thinking that i might) and they updated me by call/message on the statues of my vehicle. Great service.

Even though I was only there to buy a used car, everyone was very friendly, helpful and honest. Salesman David didn't try to upsell me, which I appreciated very much. Overall the best dealership experience I've had! If your looking for a new or used Ford, I highly recommend them.

Finally someone came out doesn't even introduced themselves to me or say sorry for the delay just what can I help you with I told him what I was in for and he said that the recall item are not in stock ?? This store needs better communication with each other so they can relay the correct information to the customers. I worked for Oakland Acura for 13 yrs. And something lije this would never be tolerated. THIS WILL BE MY LAST TRUCK FROM YOU GUYS WHEN MY WARRANTY IS UP.

Everyone is friendly, but everytime it comes to parts being ordered I have to check in in a week to make sure if they were ordered and several times the items were not ordered. Got the major parts I needed paid for by serivice and sales. Eventually I just ordered and paid for the last part myself since three times I was told it was ordered it turned out not to be ordered at all.

The only reason I am leaving one star on this because this app made me do it. I work on the road and have been to many ford stores all across the country. This is by far the worst Ford store in the whole entire world. Nothing more than a bunch of crooks trying to overcharge you for parts you do not need. Steer clear and never bring any of the vehicles you drive to this location.

My husband and I bring both of our Ford vehicles to San Leandro Ford. We are very appreciative for the hard work the Service Dept. provides. I had brought in my husbands vehicle on a Saturday morning, as a drop in for an oil change, and small maintenance, Randell Jackman was my service specialist that morning. I was greeted in a professional and friendly manner. Randell listened carefully to my needs and explained everything they would be doing to our vehicle. I have have also had the pleasure of working with Phillip Balbuena in the past and he too always does an amazing job! I observed the Parts and Service director, Tom McNab lining the seats with plastic and placing paper mats in all vehicles, to help out his staff, in addition to all service personal working together to expedite the intake of all the vehicles brought it that morning. It was busy! I was very impressed with the staffs ability to work together and be able to juggle customers concerns.

I understand people hate to wait and can become impatient, but I realize and value great service, and will continue to patronize this dealership. All departments work hard, but I especially see what an amazing job the Service Dept. does to meet the needs of their customers.

A Big Thank you to Dan Andrade as well, for he always makes sure our family is given the best customer service. I will continue to recommend San Leandro Ford to family and friends, because of the quality and friendly service we receive.

If you choose to go there make sure you check your car first with a rep. Do you don't end up treated like I did as a customer. Very unsatisfied.

They say they'll call you back (well, this one guy in service in particular with the initials RJ) and they don't. My car is still in their shop (3 days now) just to examine some sounds i heard. You can drive it around the block in one day and figure it out. C'mon man.

I am still dissatisfied with the sound of my car. My car is running loud especially with the air conditioner on. You can hear the noise when the fan is switching. Every since my broken shroud was replaced I have had issues. The dealership has been good in trying to resolve the issue. But basically I was told this is good as the car will run and they are not hearing what I am hearing. The last young lady that helped me was attentive and did everything she said she would do. I appreciate the effort but my issue is still not resolved. I ve been a faithful Ford customer for over 37 plus years. I think it s time to break the relationship. Especially when your told well your car is not going to run like me it did when it was brand new. I know a car with a 130 thousand miles will not run like a brand new car but I do expect it to run smoothly and not so loud.

The sales department is very helpful but the service department is not a pleasant experience. I've been in five or six times for general service/maintenance and every time Ive called to make and appointment they have said that they don't make appointments for services and that I should just drive into the "quick lane" (total misnomer there). This last time I didn't call, just dove in and was told that I needed to make an appointment that they didn't do drive-ins anymore ??! What a waist of time. So today I called to make and appointment and they are all booked up until after Xmas - its Dec 13th today. I have the prepaid maintenance package same as I did for my last car that was from One Toyota. Completely different experience there. OneToyota was Both friendly and punctual. Everything this ford service department is not. I would think twice about buying another Ford for this reason alone.

My company is devoted to green business practices, so it was time for us to lease a small, fuel efficient vehicle for me to get around the Bay Area. I connected with Danny Gol, and he made the process of special ordering a sweet little Fiesta Titanium pleasant every step of the way. Couldn't have been happier with the straightforward experience, the lack of sales hype and sincerity and helpfulness of every staff member we encountered. But Danny? He's the man!

The amazing thing is that this guy has brought me back year over year to buy a Ford even though I wanted to purchse another brand, but straight talk made it easier to do business with Ford via Danny. Thanks again.

This is the first and the last I would take my van...

This is the first and the last I would take my van here. I went in for an oil change. My appointment was at 9 but didn t get help until 9:46. I was told by the advisor that I needed service for other stuff because I have reached certain mileage. Called my husband he said that I should have not gone there at all. The advisor said they will be done in 4 hours and 7 hours later they called. I came pick up my van and found out they didn t do the other service but change my oil. I had to come back for another half a day. I was so frustrated and ask the advisor why the hell they have my van for 7 hours and it didn t finish and his response was the mechanic has gone home and he has no answer but he will take it for another half a day and detail it. The hell would I wanna leave my van here and miss my appointments. They are overbooked and they are not doing a good job. I am not recommending this place to any of my friends and family. If there was a half a star that s what I will give them. Bad customer service!!
