We have had Smith Thompson security for several years. Their customer service is outstanding! We will never use another company!

After years with a big nationwide alarm company, I switched over to Smith Thompson. Their prices are unbeatable and their customer service is A+!! I wish I had moved sooner!

Smith-Thompson has secured our home for many years and their service is always excellent. The technology the company uses continues to upgrade, and I use the mobile connectivity frequently. The cost is also less than many other companies, and without a long-term contract! I totally recommend this security and alarm company!

I switched to Smith Thompson after years with Brinks due to the price. They were able to use my current system with just a few changes, and have been amazing for the last six or seven years. They respond to every alarm, even with the dog shaking his head, his collar tags making the glass break sensor go off. I have never had a missed alarm, nor a problem with anyone at their office. Polite, helpful, efficient. (and half the price!)

I was looking to make a switch from the security company I was with and started my search on the BBB site to find highest rated. The first two companies I checked out and called were asking for a lot of money upfront and long term contracts. Then, I called Smith Thompson. No long term contract, very affordable rates and all equipment prices upfront on their website. Once I gave them a call, there was absolutely no reason to even search elsewhere so I scheduled my appointment. The tech called 30 minutes prior to his arrival and arrived on time. He was very professional and had the service running in no time. Transparent, great service and awesome price!!

We just replaced our outdated and expensive ADT security system with Smith Thompson Security. Every contact we made with sales, support was friendly and helpful. The installation technician said our old system was usable and upgradable to the new technology. We added cameras as well. The tech was knowledgeable, friendly and full of tips on using the system. Total monthly cost for this new improved security was about half of what we were paying out to the old national company. So far, we are very, very pleased with our choice.

Customer service was very poor, once I submit the review it takes 2 days to hear from the owner. He was very anxious about the review rather than admitting poor customer service. He was offering free key fob if I erased the review. When I mentioned that I was in middle of my work at 9am,and I will take care of the review, he was insisting and giving me few hours with a threatening tone of voice that he will cancel my membership. After finishing my work i find a text from him at 12.30 that he decided to cancel my membership. This is how they doing the business. Once again dissatisfied with the customer service.

I have a recent-construction home that came with a pre-wired security system. I spent a good amount of time checking with my neighborhood Facebook page and online reviews about my options for security monitoring companies. I finally settled on Smith Thompson. They scheduled me out quickly to activate their service on my system.

Have to say I'm impressed by their price for monitoring and even mobile app control. The monthly price is about half what I would have paid with the other company I considered! I know the service works well because I've accidentally set off my alarm a couple times now and they call right away :).

I had a false alarm and they responded before I could even comprehend what had happened. Ask for Shawn, he showed up when he said he would and explained the system to me.

We are a brand new customer. I really love that we didn't have to sign a contract as I have no idea how long we will be in our current house (we are old and anything can happen). Justin did an excellent job. He was professional, proficient and polite. I like the technical details and he was very patient and explained all the component parts to me. He gave me a thorough overview of the cellular transmission platform and let me watch him work. He provided me with options for coverage and was helpful but not pushy. He was also efficient, and clearly experienced in his field. My only "issue" is that his face mask did not fit properly and kept falling below his nose, and I was quite concerned about COVID. Anyway, we are all fine and I am very pleased with Smith Thompson and highly recommend them to you if you are interested in home security.

Smith Thompson Security is a great business. Their technicians are polite, knowledgable. I feel secure with my system, and it is quite affordable !

They updated the alarm system with a better cellular connection and an app so I can turn my alarm on or off using my phone! Very cool in case I leave the house and forgot to turn on the alarm.

I ve been very happy with both their service on the initial installation and their service for the recent 5G upgrade and also the response time when an alarm goes off. It s been 2 and half month since I took their home security service and so far my experience is excellent! The customer service did not try to up sale like other security companies. On 3/4 occasions my alarm went off by mistake and they called me within less than 10-15 seconds.I was not expecting to receive calls so fast!

I have had Smith Thompson home security service for over 7 years. The cost is very reasonable and I have recommended them to 6 members of my family.
I have had zero problems until 2 days ago. My alarm signal was not being received by the control center. I called for service and they responded by sending a service technician to my home the next day. He replaced a defective part and also the battery in 15 minutes and there was no charge for the parts or the service call. OUTSTANDING

We have had a great experience, and have had no issues with the system or with customer service. I appreciate the fact that they do not require service contracts and they do not charge extra fees for the services they provide. The quoted price is the price you pay. I recently used Smith Thompson Pest control. They arrived within the window and called half an hour prior to arriving just as promised. The technician arrived as promised, efficiently and professionally completed the service. So far, so good.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with our security install today. Gary, the technician, was unhelpful and even seemed to NOT want to do the install to begin with. (It was late in the day and he was running behind.)Then he never asked what plan we wanted to sign up for, and he said we were signed up for the plan that had no app included. To change that, he said we would have to call in and schedule for a different day as a technician would have to be sent back out to change the panel. 100% bad experience. I had heard great things about this company, but they have not delivered. Even when I told Gary that I would be writing a 1 star review, he seemed not to care.

Smith and Thompson did an outstanding job. I thought going into the service that it was going to be around $89.50, however when the team arrived, we discovered that I would actually need a new installation. You can imagine the numbers going through my head as a first time home buyer with a BUDGET! The team helped me work through what the cost would be with other companies for a new installation. They explained that a lot of other companies might have a low start up cost, but in the long run, my monthly payments would be more expensive and result in me spending more money at the end of the day. I was so grateful to receive some honest advice! Love the system!

After 20 years using the same home security company, we decided to consider a switch to a different company. Because of positive reviews by our neighbors, we contacted Smith Thompson Home Security. The pleasant and professional conversation we had with the Smith Thompson telephone representative led us to decide to make the switch and to date we are very pleased with our decision. Our monthly cost is reduced and at the same time, we have newly upgraded equipment in our home. And, as an added bonus, we feel that we have experienced an upgrade in terms of customer service. I want to especially mention our technician, Gary, who was courteous, on-time, protective of our floors and personal property while he worked, and thoroughly professional. Gary was careful to explain the similarities and difference in our new equipment and also provided written instructions for future reference.

Have had ST service for less than a month however my experience through sales and install process has been phenomenal. They are upfront and provide great customer service. Highly recommend this company.

I've been using Smith Thomspon security and pest control service for about 7 months now. I have not had any issues at all. Once or twice we have an alarm go off and their call service was extremely quick in calling us. I think for the price, and service, Smith Thompson can't be beat.

Shawn was great! He called beforehand, arrived on time, and walked me through everything extremely fast. He went beyond what was required to do and made sure everything was to my liking. Cleaned up well. I will be requesting him again if I need any repairs or maintenance done.

We wanted to install an alarm system after a burglary happened next door. We went with Smith Thompson at the recommendation of a friend. We have been pleased with our service. The install was great. Easy and convenient. The alarm has actually been set off once at 2:30 a.m. due to some crazy wind and they called within the minute to make sure we were okay. It was a relief to know they were actively monitoring since the door was wide open. Could have been a different situation. Super pleased with our service.

I had an appointment for my new office to be set up with Smith Thompson a little over a week ago. We received a 3 hour window between 9 am and noon. After hearing nothing from them at noon, my team and I stepped out to lunch before our afternoon appointments arrived. While at lunch at 12:15 the tech called and said he was on his way. I informed him we had to step out for lunch and would be back in an hour.

He said that he can't wait for us to return and we would have to call the office and reschedule. I waited until today to see if anyone from smith Thompson would try to reschedule and nothing. I called and spoke with a sales rep today and let him know we would be choosing another company. His response was simply "Ok." He didn't ask for my information or the address of the location or anything to identify who I was.

This service and the people are great! No contracts and affordable! The tech support is always there to help. Even the website has very concise information.

They also patiently answered all of my "tech geek" questions. Not to mention they never fail to immediately call when the alarm is triggered. Would highly recommend!

My alarm sounded in the middle of the night and would not switch off, ST did not call me and when I called they could not tell me how to stop it and only after much trying did I succeed. They would not send a tech over to verify and therefore I stopped using it. I do trust their technology or their security desk.

I was pleasantly surprised when a friend referred us to this company for the unreal monthly rate. I haven't found anything even close! We were paying over double before. They were also able to use the previous owner's equipment which was great. The customer service when scheduling was wonderful and the rep who came out to install was very nice and super knowledgeable. I HIGHLY recommend them!

I ve always been satisfied with Smith-Thompson, and they just upgraded my cell connection because 3G is going away. I would ve paid a discounted price for the new equipment and installation only, but I opted for app access too (which adds $5/ month) which makes it real easy to monitor and control the system

The sales person on the phone was able to determine that they could monitor my system. The technician that came for the installation was exceptional. He totally checked out the system to ensure it was working and then gave us a very clear walk through on how to use the system and set up its features. I first contacted Smith Thompson a few years ago when my contract was over with a larger security company. I no longer wanted to keep my landline phone service and Smith Thompson offered a wireless alternative. Not only am I saving almost $800 per year by not having a home phone line anymore, but I am also saving another $500 per year compared to my old security monitoring system. We recently moved and Smith Thompson is with us at the new house as well. Very Happy with our service and how affordable it is.
