Smith Thompson came and setup our alarm system and the whole thing was quick and painless. We didn t previously have a system, so he had to search for all the required connections, and did so with minimal involvement from me. He gave me a demonstration of how to use the system and it s all been working great.

This is our second Smith Thompson install at a new home. Their techs don't waste time and work with the current security system. They only recommend replacing what needs to be replaced. We also use the company to monitor our home. They are extremely prompt when the alarm goes off. We've already recommended them to friends.

Moved to the area recently and solicited recommendations for home security from the Nextdoor app. Majority of the recommendations were for Smith Thompson. Most of the feedback focused on great service and pricing. I gave them a call and the experience was very positive from the beginning. I appreciate the fact that they are willing to use existing equipment instead of automatically saying you need to upgrade replace everything. Their monthly fee for monitoring is definitely the most reasonable when compared to all local and national providers. Their technician installed a new keypad and got the system up and running as described over the phone and website. Very smooth process, no hidden fees or bait and switch. Great overall experience.

We switched to Smith Thompson Home Security after years of increased rates with ADT Security. The transfer of service at our house was so easy and our technician, Bruce, was outstanding! Should have done it years ago. Highly recommend!

We were having issues with two of our zones. Bruce arrived within the allotted window given (and called to let me know when he would arrive). He immediately diagnosed the problem with both zones and promptly fixed them.

He upgraded our transmitter and tested our system to ensure there were no more issues.

Bruce was prompt, professional, observed COVID protocols, and completely fixed and upgraded our system.

We are new to the State and unfamiliar with Smith Thompson Security which is the security company the previous owners used, so inquired with the previous owners about them. They spoke highly of them and informed us that they had been with Smith Thompson Security after leaving ADT many years back. They explained that the main reason for the change was the advertised $16.95 a month fee, but included that the years of using Smith Thompson they felt safe with this company and the security it provides. Many of our neighbors use the same company, so I thought I would call to inquire. I was pleasantly surprised that I actually got to talk to the owner, Mark Thompson. Mark was very personable. He provided me the answers to my questions, which to me, confirmed the trust the previous owners had with this company. The installer did a great job and was also personable and friendly. It s been three weeks since they installed the security system and it all works great.

I m extremely happy that I made the switch back to Smith Thompson. The monitoring fee is half the amount (price had never changed from when I had their service back in 2005) I had been paying using the builder installed alarm system company plus it s month-to-month versus the three year contract plus one year renewal my that builder alarm company never mentioned they locked me into. Shawn installed my new alarm and he was FANTASTIC. He was very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. He thoroughly went over everything I needed to know including providing additional helpful tips and went over my paperwork which was very straight forward. It s very reassuring for me to know I m putting my security and life into a reputable and honest company.

Great service! Technician was friendly and very thorough. He offered to inspect the attic and treated our tall covered patio accessible only by an extended ladder and also removed spider webs. As always, Smith Thompson service is prompt, on time, they call with a status of arrival on the day of service and best of all the price is fair and consistent. There is never pressure to sign up for continued service and you can call as needed. I will always remain a customer.

We shopped several different security companies before moving to our new house. I had called Smith Thompson because they are who the previous owners used. Their prices were the best so we went with them. Loved that they worked around our schedule for the initial setup which was a pretty hectic one for us at that time. The technician that came and set everything up was awesome! I'm not the most tech savvy person and he took the time to explain and teach me how to use the alarm all while being very understanding and patient with our rambunctious 3 year old asking him a million questions lol.
We accidentally set the alarm off and I was shocked at how fast they called us. Definitely gives me peace of mind if the alarm was to ever go off for an actual incident.

This company has a good reputation & they lived up to it. Installation was fast & easy. The technician was quite pleasant & did everything he had said he would do. Much more reasonable than some other companies. I like the idea that someone is monitoring which gives security a whole additional level of protection. I love my new system.

Our service technician, Justin was very helpful and everything was easy. He was very informative and covered the pest we should be looking for in the winter season. Dump ADT!
I had ADT for years. I always suspected I was paying too much, but I never had the time to review its cost when I finally did and a neighbor recommended me to switch to Smith Thompson, I didn t doubt it. $200 a year, and one month free if the year is pay in full. Excellent service and for the right price. Plus this is an all Texas company, and I like the red and blue logo.
