Optimum RV Review

This place was very good to me and my family. From the chat to the operators taking my calls to the sales team, everyone was friendly and willing to help in everyway we can. They have many bilingual salesmen. I worked with Jeanne and she was AWESOME, she was truly great to work with. Great place to go.

I had purchased a used unit from them and then a month later we were hit by a semi they fixed it fast knowing we lived in it! So naturally I brought it back but this time they had it almost 3 months and when I got it back both power chords were gone and they broke various things some they fixed others they ignored. On the way home from picking the fifth wheel up the under belly blew off(they forgot to secure it) I almost killed a lady!!! While attempting to stop the force broke my hitch!(which was apparently a warranty issue even though the underbelly tore up the trailer breaks while it was thrashing around) two months later I am still waiting on them to do right by me. Only after suing them came up have they decided to come out! I have lived in campers, rv's and fifth wheels for over 20 years my family and I have owned dozens!! Their service department is the worst I have ever had to work with! Last year alone I was in 27 states so I have a lot of experience with campers! During the sale of the unit they switched the negotiated price back to the asking causing me to pay an additional $1,000 my fault for not rechecking at first I didn't think it was done maliciously but now after the months of phone calls and unreturned calls I have changed my mind! Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere!!! Otherwise you will regret it! I personally guarantee it I have dealt with the managers and the owner!

We just purchase a 31 ft Winne. We had the most wonderful expeince with Optimum RV. We tried to purchase a RV with LaMesa RV and was not able. But contact Optimum RV Saleman was very nice and very knowlegeable about the vehicle we were looking at. Finance manager did a fantastic job of finding a bank to do the financing. I can tell you how much we enjoy doing business with Optimum RV. Everybody was so help. We would difinetly buy from them again.

I am only giving one star because I can't give less. This was the most fraudulent disappointing experience I have ever had. First, made an appointment online with Ally. We texted back and forth and set up a day and time to see ONE SPECIFIC CAMPER. Get there on time on the day; no Ally. Get assigned to someone else who has only worked here for 3 days. Had no idea who we were, what we wanted. Ok, I pull out my phone and show him why we're here. Well, guess what, they sold that particular unit the day before - incredible. Looked at several other units since we drove over an hour. Complete waste of time. One of the use ones we're looking at starts sliding backwards while we're in it!!! Unbelievable. Then...insult to injury...they try to sell us a used camper for more than a similar model new. So we left. Purchased one in the next state over for $4,000 less. I would say don't waste your time.

We have purchased several travel trailers before and this dealership and every person we dealt with has been outstanding. Truly a wonderful experience. Our sales representative Heath was delightful, and the sales manager was from Michigan so how could you get any better.

My husband and I have always been avid RV enthusiasts. Got out of it for a while but started lookingagain and ended up at Optimum RV in Ocala. Salesman James Godsey was amazing!! No pressure - no hype ....wonderful team of employees. Purchased a new 2020 SportTrek with dual slides... Cannot wait to start cruising down the road.

Weve been looking for an RV for awhile. The person we worked with didnt think they had what we were looking for, I knew they did because I saw several models I wanted to view online. We negotiated with them about a camper and then when we went to pick it up we relized they told us the the wrong info and it wasnt what we were looking for. We left them our number with our specifications. I haven't heard from them since.

The price listed online does not include a $999 dealer fee, a $795 servicing fee, etc. The best price available was $3,300 above what the price online was listed (for a unit marked at $16,999 the "lowest" price was $20,303). I understand taxes and a processing fee but an almost 20% increase in price in "fees" as the bottom dollar seems very dishonest. In addition, the model number and description were a different model than the camper model on the lot. All the staff was very nice, but very disappointed in the overall experience. Will not buy there in the future.

Bought a toy hauler and was happy at first and then when we came to pick it up and go over it they had me waiting in a trailer for 2 hours before I got to check it out. Then 2 guys came and showed me some of the things the turn signals did not work on one side then they wanted to charge me 230.00 to hook up sway
bar hitch because it was used and said it was mine. It was not mine it was in storage compartment. I spent 4 1/2 hours to pick up. They admitted they dropped the ball and did not have it ready to go also don't explain all what your paying for and the cost fo each charge. Unhappy will not refer anyone .I took there stickers off rv. I was warned by a friend about the way they do business. Some Happy some not.

DO Not Ever BUY from this place the worse customer service ever. Sale guy was great just hope like hell u never have to take it back never returns calls. 4 day fix turns into 3 weeks now. Find another RV place to buy from.

Great experience buying from these guys! I made the deal from 800 miles away. Flew in and Heath picked me up at the airport on time and we rolled straight to the dealership. RV was exactly as I expected. Got through the paper work and was treated to lunch. After lunch, the RV was cleaned up, filled up with gas and I was on my way home. Great experience dealing with Optimum RV! Thanks Heath for all of the detailed work leading into the purchase day!!!

Worked with Debbie and Paul in Sales (thanks to both for diligently helping me!) and had Hunter as our service tech (he was great to work with, went above and beyond, and was patient!). The final closing could have gone a little faster but I also understand that they were slammed on a Saturday.

Was very pleased with the service I received. George is a great salesman, no pressure. I would most differently refer family and friends.

Just pulled off the lot with our first camper. I saw the camper on line, emailed them, and recieved a call from Heath, in sales, within a few hours. He was a dream to work with. We are very satisfied with all aspects of Optimum RV. The mechanical walk thru was awesome (thank you Glenn). We never felt rushed, or stupid for asking questions. We even bought a few extra luxuries from their parts and service area. Super nice and helpful staff. The finance office had great customer service, and we didn't have to spend half the he day working numbers (thank you Thomas). Thank you to Heath, and the rest of the Optimum staff. You made the process enjoyable, and we appreciate that. Can't wait to for our first camping trip!

Pushy credit manager. Ran our credit After we called and told them we changed our mind. Muddy, dirt lot. Overall not impressed. Sales person knew little about RVs.

I went in to the dealership. I spoke with Rich Figuero. He has taken care of all my concerns. Would recommend them for future business.

We had a great experience buying our first travel trailer. Connor assured we wii poi kid have a great experience. Jennifer McNinch was great in showing us all out options and very patient. She was a wealth of knowledge with great customer service. Drake was another great help getting us to feel comfortable with the purchase and financing. Super smooth and easy. The 2 hour walkthrough the gentleman gave us was great and a we were given a great walk around on how the weight and sway hitch is operated from a younger gentleman in service. Really a great experience.

I have to give credit where credit is due. After everything came to surface the staff really stepped up! HUGE HUGE shout out to Connor, Pete, Richard(sales) Richie(service) and the owner . Y'all are my hero's and Thank you is not enough. Thank you for listening and caring.

Friendly but with Expansion They are Short-handed !! Don't go if you are short on time.

Heath was our salesman. He spent a lot of time with us, was never rushed and treated us like we were his top priority. He made sure that we were property introduced to the right personnel for a walk through, finance, mechanics and tag and title. He followed through on every issue and gave us some helpful hints.
Everyone that we dealt with was respectful, knowledgeable and willing to spend as much time with us as needed.
We would not hesitate to recommend Optimun RV to anyone interested in the purchase of a trailer or RV

If I could leave -5 stars I would. Absoultely horrible. When my boyfriend and I went in Alec was who helped us.. Alec only cared about the sale and not really helping us or caring about my credit. They ran my credit up to 6 times trying to find somewhere to make our payments lower. It took me down about 30 points in my credit... so a HUGE F you to them for that. While he was running my credit they kept going into the office saying they were 'running numbers' to get my payments lower and refused to give me my license back the mulitple times I asked for it. They also made us late for my boyfriend EEG scan because they refused to give me my license back scared that we would leave before we could sign the paper for the RV.

Don Mann was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. He was a pleasure to work with.

The customer service for warranty work and call backs are horrible. Every time, let me call you back with no call back. I have had my camper for 9 months it has been in service for warranty work 7 months out of the 9 so far. They keep it forever and never call you back. When you get it back it still has the same problems. My buying experience was great but nothing else has been since. I sent two additional customers there and now they are pissed at me because of the service department and the customer service level. I am done and will not buy from again.

Wayne and the crew made our first RV purchasing experience a great one. We love our new home, thanks to Optimum RV.

UPDATE: I'm FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL; WE JUST GOT IT BACK AGAIN FROM REPAIR SHOP AND NOW: transmission is leaking. Oh that's after the leveler was not covered by the flipping warranty they sold us!!!!!!!!!

We purchased an R.V. on 9/17/2016, it was to be ready on 9/20/2016 by 1:00pm. We arrived at 12:55pm. Not only was it not ready we had to wait for it? Finally drove it home I was leaving in the am on my first trip.. Had everything ready to go went to leave and the R.V. won t move so I called they sent a tech out to look at it. (He said he had no idea what to look for) then decided it was the breaks which they had just had fixed. So the guy that fixed them canceled his trip to come look at it. come to find out it wasn t what he had fixed.The brakes still locked up. Well it was the steering column or the sensor that they had not reattached. And there were sensors missing. So this started a long waiting period. It took forever to find, then when this outside guy found it, it was taking awhile for him to get around to it. It s now Jan 2017 still have not had it on the road. Then the man was in a car wreck never to be heard from again. This meant Optimum had to fix it. They rigged it so they could drive it back. Once they got it started. It was then taken to another outside repair place they finally fixed the ruff running and starting issue. (Which they were supposed to fix in the beginning.) Well it s now march 2017 and still no R.V. We finally got it back and are ready to go. Make reservations and are on our way get 58 miles down the road and the breaks GO OUT.. I did get it pulled over called Optimum was told they are in a meeting and would call me back I called back a half hour later (YES I m stranded) And the Guy that was to call back left for the day was told to call a tow truck. Which we did and the tow guy fixed it enough for us to get to another garage because optimum wouldn t be open. And at this time I DON T TRUST THEM. We took it to our mechanic. That Monday we went into optimum and got all the paperwork on repairs. (Come to find out they supposedly fixed all this stuff for the previous owner.) Guess what the breaks are still locked up!!! (I or anybody I hit could have been killed.) Come to find out the entire brake system has to be replaced. We get that done and now the charging system is messed up and it s back in the shop. I had a lawyer send a letter no response. So yes we ve had this R.V. for almost a year and it has not been on the road.. How can a company sell something that they know is not roadworthy? Stating that it is!! My lawyer is now on the job.
PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

If they were the only RV Dealer in FL I would go to Canada. They are Deceitful, Un-careiing, etc,etc. They have no communication between themselves or people they sell too. This is only my opinion from my experience and it would be a "Cold Day In Hel# before I would ever go back there or Recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER!! They are liars, do not know what customer service is. Promise to help and fix unit and nothing happens. Bought brand new 2019 Venture Sport Trek and had water leak in get tank first day after pick up. We're going to be at campground for two months before heading out for six month trip. Tank finally got fixed the day we were pulling out. Ran late and new camper pulling in had to wait several hours. Got run around every time we called. Lies and no return calls. Called manufacturer several times and things there not much better. I will never go there again or refer anyone to them. PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid the headaches you'll go through with optimum. OH and the day we left for our trip the a/c stopped working. I called a mobile tech myself and got it fixed. What a joke Optimum and venture are!!!!!

Purchased a travel trailer from Optimum Rv and had a great experience. After reviewing options from across the state I decided that the 3 hour drive to Optimum Rv was well worth it. The salesman Gabe was great, and went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and concerns.

After the technician Gary taught us ever thing we needed to know about the camper and made sure we were safe for travel, we went directly to the nearby Ocala national Forest and had great first weekend camping. I would definitely purchase from Optimum RV again if/when we decide to upgrade.

Both Gabe and Gary went above and beyond what is expected from a salesperson and a technician.

If i could give no stars i would. I have never had such a bad experience in my life. They make promises they cant keep. I had to act like a stalker to get them to return my call. They treat their potential customers like dirt. Stay away from this place.

Last year. I had a very distasteful experience with this RV dealer, and I posted a critical review. Today, I removed that review and I am replacing it with a positive one.
The reason behind this is directly related to Hoss, the new GM of the store. He reached out to me and took the time to explain that the dealership has completely revamped its staff, its processes, and even its facility.
As a former GM of auto dealerships, I truely beleive that organizations will follow the lead of their top level executives, whether they be positive or negative. If Hoss' staff follows his lead, I have no doubt that the experiences going forward will be of a positive nature.

They will scam you. They pray on the elderly and disabled.

My sales person was Gabe Valenzuela. Hands down the best salesman I have ever had. He goes above and beyond and is not super pushy. I'm very pleased with my camper.

I recently purchased a travel trailer from Optimum RV. I worked with Mike Aldana and my experience was excellent. Mike listened to what I was looking for, showed me excellent options and ultimately found exactly what I wanted. The follow up, service and assistance was perfect. When I picked up the trailer, Robert, did an excellent job with the walk through and instructions. I highly recommend Optimum RV and in particular Mike.

Complete joke. I drive and hour and a half to go take a look at what they have. Not only did they take the down payment before they knew if we were actually approved for financing. But i didn't get a phome call but a txt. A txt.. and not only it take more then 3 weeks to get the payment back they also never gave me back my id. Which i still haven't received its been a month

Had a great experience with buying a new class C motorhome. James Godsey was our salesma. He was professional, answered all of our questions honestly, and had good communication. No pressure or gimmicks, showed us what we were interested in.
Also, no surprises when closing the deal. Conner from finance had everything in order.

It was the best RV dealer we had visited by far. Will made it a no pressure easy experience and made sure we found what we were asking for.

I would say Optima RV definitely the idea place to find a camper especially with the inventory they have! As I read reviews I noticed some post that mentioned they make you feel like family that s a given, but ultimately they just want to sell you a camper, that s it. I will say some of the staff there are extremely rude. Management one more thing to be careful when you buy or trade, the finance team will move numbers around..

I was interested in a 2004 Keystone Cabanna. The salesperson, Brent greeted me with both professionalism and kindness. Brent truely cared about what type of RV would be great for me and my family. I will be sure to tell everyone ready to but to go see Brent at Optimum Rv in Ocala.

I was very pleased with Optimum RV. While on vacation my air conditioner had problems and the parts manager Toni Wickman was able to find the part very quickly and i was back in buisness. Thanks Toni and thank you Optimum RV for providing great service.

My experience at Optimum RV was EXCELLENT. I had done a lot of research over the last several weeks on pre-owned Fith Wheels trailers and when visiting the dealers, in some cases, they were not what I expected. However, Optimum posted very good pictures of the RV units and they were a good representation and more importantly priced right.

My Sales Rep George Rolle was great to work with. Prior to visiting the Store, George and I had spoken over the phone about what I was really looking for. He took the time to do some additional research of his inventory and proceeded to text me a few more pictures. In fact, George was so dedicated, when I inadvertently sent George a text after hours, he responded immediatly with the answer to my question. Very Dedicated and Commited to ensuring my wife and I were happy with our selection... Thank you George...

It was apparent to me that the team supported one another very well. Pete Smith the Manager was very transparent and good to work with. Tony Tech did a very thorough job during the walk-through of the unit. Conner Cockfield the Finance Manager was also very pleasant to work with.

This was my first time buying a travel trailer. Now I wasn t looking for anything outrageous. Just something that would fit a family of 6. The sale guy was so nice and searched for the right travel trailer for us. Once we found it we new there was things that we would need to add. Once we picked it up, we realized that the items we thought we would have to get was replaced. We never said anything to them about tires, radio, or the small things to the dealership, they just put it in there! Everyone there was great to us and we are so looking forward to our first weekend in our new travel trailer.

Biggest mistake was buying from this place. Drove 90 miles to get an rv spent 5 hours waiting for them to check it over and clean it (they didn t clean it at all) only to be told that the floor in the bathroom is rotted out and they had to fix it a week and a half later I get to pick it up. Get it set up on my property for temporary living While I m working on my new house few days later notice water leaking from under the camper and the bathroom floor is flooded. Got to looking and the toilet valve is leaking which is what caused the floor to be rotted out in the first place. Now the floor is so soft I can t walk on it. Doesn t look like they fixed anything Only patched it up to dump it.
Oh and buy a weight distribution hitch from somewhere else. They got me for $1800 extra for it. Very disappointed with my $30,000 mistake

Worst selling tactics ever! So glad we were on top of it and purchased elsewhere. FYI...when someone tells you they have done their homework and they know what they want, LISTEN!!!

Lots of RVs to choose from. They offer military discount. The price seemed reasonable compared to other RV dealers, but Camping world had much better deals. The lot was busy on Saturday and there were a lot of sales rep. I saw a few trailers that I liked, but decided to compare their prices with another company. I could not believe that there were 2 taxes involved in the RV buying process, a total of 13%. Great selection.

bought a new camper from them a couple months ago had lots of problems with the camper as soon as I got it tried to get them to come out and fix it they wanted me to bring it in I had just bought it if they would have done a pre inspection they would have found all the problems water heater valve was closed and hadn't even been checked because I called in and they said it was checked and didn't know why I wasn't getting hot water. and to top it of the salesman promised me an extra key to my front door because I only got one but when I called he never replied. I wouldn't do business with this place ever again.

This 5 Star rating is for two people in particular, James Godsay in sales and Rich Walls in service. They both made our family s RV purchase extremely pleasant.

I would say there seems to continue some hiccups in the service/warranty department, but not a direct result from the gentlemen mentioned above.

My recommendation for Optimum is that they hire employees like James and Rich, that truly understand the meaning of Customer Service and have a passion for the products and service they represent. Thank you both!

Well after a hectic week of RV supply shopping I finally need to take a minute to give a shout out to the amazing staff at Optimum RV! My sales person Kodiak was awesome! He stuck with me as I looked at one RV after another, and answered any questions I had. Not only did he help me find my perfect RV he also went out a second day when I thought I might want to change units. Kodiak made buying my new home away from home possible. When I arrived for my walk through and pick up Brittney was so thorough as she walked us through and explained how everything worked, and where it was. As first time RV owners this was quite a task. Finally, Gary went above and beyond to help us get all hooked up and on the road. He made sure that all of our concerns were addressed, and sent us on our way with confidence that we were good to go. Optimum RV thank you for your time and professional service; what an amazing team!

After visiting 5 other dealerships, we went to optimum rv and worked with Jennifer McNinch. She gathered all the information of what we wanted and showed us some great units. She knew we were on a budget and she wasn't pushy. She showed us several rvs within our price range and found a match for us. We pick up our brand new rv in a couple weeks. The customer service from the sales staff as well as the finance staff was awesome.

Great place! So much to choose from and the best part is the salesmen are available but not pushy. Highly recommend!

We dealt with Heath (sales) and Dennis Burke (finance) and Jason (service). We purchased a new 2019 KZ Venom about a month ago and the experience was great. We were scheduled to go on vacation from TN to Fl and on July 7th- 1 month before our vacation - our RV got hit by a drunk driver and totaled it. Optimum had a replacement unit that fit our needs and they worked a great deal and an "unusual" delivery to get us on to our vacation as scheduled in our new RV. Couldn't be happier with the service at Optimum.

We first went and looked around with Kodiak and he showed us any and everything. We then went back to gain the help of Maria who was attentive and knowledgeable as well. Any questions we had we received answers too and were able to purchase a Durango.

Very nice inventory. I recently went and looked at a camper eco friendly. Very nice and very affordable. Seems to have quality choices to choose from.

If I could give them negative stars I would. Extremely pushy, arrogant sales staff. Beware!! They could care less about you as a customer. They advertise an rv "like new condition" as i was told by multiple sales people too, after driving 2 hours we get there and the unit was previously backed into a tree with the side tore open! The damage was not new. The place also has foot deep mud everywhere.

Do not ever buy a camper from here or take for service. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with, the really could care less about the customer. We bought a brand new unit last year from them and they have had it for over 6 months to fix an issue, only to find out they never actually fixed the problem!! I cannot stress enough to never give this place your business, after they sell you a unit they could care less about assisting you with anything!!!

I have read the reviews posted for Optimum RV and they tend to be very positive or very negative. My experience was positive. The dealership is growing quite fast and the pace of the site improvements has not kept pace with the growth. However, they have well over 400 RV's to choose from.

Everyone at the dealership that I had contact with treated me with respect and was professional. I had contact with the receptionist, sales person, finance man and also the manager. All interactions were positive.

My sales person was George. My budget was small and my dreams big. George was patient and tried to bring the budget and dream together, which he did. When the sale was complete, George was right there helping me get everything wrapped up on the unit and on the road.

Used RV's are sold as is and I was made aware of that. Everything I pointed out prior to purchase was taken care of. I did find a couple of more small items after leaving that I am going to take care of myself. Just check things over before leaving and I suspect you will have a good experience, just as I did.

I am 65 years old and have been looking for the perfect Travel Trailer for a long time the one we landed on was here at Optimum RV in Ocala. My wife and I have been shopping for about 6 months and have been to several dealers and on line looking for this one camper to meet our camping needs. We have never had such a low key, comfortable buying experience ever. Everyone at Optimum has been so nice, so professional and helpful. Before you waste a lot of time and frustration, start here. You won t be sorry.

We visited the Optimum RV Dealership in Ocala with the intention of simply looking at a 2015-model, small and used trailer. We ve never had one before and we were looking for something inexpensive to start with. Maria, sales rep, took care of us. She was very cordial, professional, informative, and really answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns. She took us around the lot and we looked at various trailers (used, new, smaller, bigger, travel trailers and toy haulers). In less than an hour, she showed us a brand new toy hauler (bigger than what we were looking for and within what we thought and felt was our price range) that we not only fell in love with but is perfect for us to t travel with our jet ski and dogs. Even throughput the negotiation and signing process, Maria really made us feel confident and pleased with everything! We are super excited for our next adventure! We had to drive in from about 2 hours away, doing the best we could to make good time. When we arrived, they had the camper we were going to be looking at prepped and ready for us to look at it, my husband dealt with a lady sales rep (I feel so bad he didn't catch her name) and she had to turn it over to Pete. Pete greeted us, got us lined up with Dawn our delivery coordinator. We met Cody, Tony who knows every mechanical thing about any camper, and did paper work with Jim. Never once were we pressured, they stayed well past their shifts to accommodate all of our questions and offer solutions! Great buying experience!

Our salesman Gabriel Valenzuela was great. Gabe listened to everything we wanted and did not want. We ended up finding the perfect travel trailer for us.

My wife and I purchased our first Class C from the Ocala location. Over the phone the service was great, the financing portion of our transaction was performed over the phone and email which was great. Unfortunately we did get butterflies when we weren t able to get details of our finance options over the phone but I guess that s the name of the game to get you to visit the lot (I think this is was the biggest turn off and the reason I can t give optimum a five star rating. Especially when I stated multiple times that it would be a five hour drive with three very young kids.) Aside from that hiccup the process of negotiations, the walkthrough of our unit, and driving off the lot was flawless. The on-location shop was great for purchasing the essentials. Huge thanks to Jimmy Lee!

After trying unsuccessfully to sell our fifth wheel ourselves, we decided to see if Optimum RV could help us. They suggested we let them try and sell it for us on consignment. When we met with our salesman, Jimmy Lee, he was confident he could sell it in 30 days. On the 30th day he called and our 5th wheel was sold for the full price we expected.
I ve had to edit this because we are still waiting for our money. Today is June 24th and we have yet to be paid. We were told to expect the money 10 business days after trailer was delivered, which our salesman, Jimmy Lee told us was June 4th. Well that date came and got a call saying I was wrong, it s 10 days after deal was funded , and deal wasn t funded until June 12th. So then I looked at contract I signed and find it says, no less than 15 days after unit is delivered .
So I called Drake on June 19th asking if there is anything he can do to help us out and he said he would look into it and call me right back. still waiting for that call.
So today, 15 days after delivery we showed up looking for our check and the general manager, John, basically told told our salesman, Jimmy was a liar, the delivery date was actually June 10th. Needless to say, we left without our money and they will call when check is ready to pick up. We re not holding our breath.
I would not recommend doing business here. Anyone that doesn t answer phone calls or texts, points fingers at someone else and employs liars for salesman, well, I ll let you decide.
I ll keep you posted on when we finally get our money. They got theirs on June 12th.
