Optimum RV Review

I purchased an RV from Optimum a week ago. They were very easy to deal with and professional. I had to drive 5 hours to pick up the RV. When I arrived, everything was ready. Wayne was my salesperson, I also dealt with Conner and Jim who all shared in an easy transaction. My tech was Gary who was amazing. He made the transfer and training very easy. His knowledge of RV is excellent. After setting up my hitch, I headed down the road with no issues at all. Gary made sure everything was working properly before hand. Thank you to the entire team, you guys are great!

We purchased a used 5th wheel toy hauler. Marco in sales, Jason in service/walk through, and Pete manager made our experience purchasing this rv very pleaseant. They all worked very hard to ensure we were satisfied with our purchase. There were a few issues we had with the rv and they took care of it right away. We are enjoying our rv just a few days after purchasing. We would definitely recommend purchasing a rv from Optimum.

I had a very bad experience with Optimum over a miscommunication on their part. I drove 3 hours to see a camper that they assured me was there on multiple occasions, including when I called when I was half way there. I was completely livid with the waste of time and I felt that they took no responsibility for it.
The owner contacted me personally and tried to do anything he could to make the situation right, despite me telling him that it wouldn't be possible. Despite me telling him my initial (1 star) review would not be changed, he insisted on trying to make it right. I understand when mistakes are made and I appreciate when someone admits it and takes responsibility for correcting it. It was still a wasted day, but I can appreciate the level of service he offered to show that he genuinely wanted me to be happy (or at the very least neutral).

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Cody Smith and Pete Smith (not related, I asked). They didn t make us feel pressured into anything. It felt as if they had our best interest and they did because I believe we got a great deal. There were many RVs to choose from with great prices. I just took delivery of my new 2019 Flagstaff Micro Lite 25FBLS. This is my forth RV but my first experience with Optimum RV. My sales representative was Dave Walls and what an awesome experience! He was very responsive, answered all my questions, and was very patient. He was there during my walk through and ensured all my concerns were addressed and I left the dealership a happy customer. Also, tech Robert Davis did an outstanding job for my walk through.

Outstanding selection of over 400 RV's. Friendly staff who don't high pressure you when you're looking. Highly recommend these folks!

Jason that install our 5th wheel hitch was fantastic, he went out of his way and let us use his truck to go and get lunch while he worked on our truck. Dennis in finance was very helpful. Bought our Flagstaff from Optimum RV, our Saleman was Shawn. We stopped late in evening but you'd have thought we were first morning customers. Told him what we were looking for, our priority list. We traded our 5th wheel in as we wanted to downsize to TT....Everyone at Optimum RV was great to work with, especially Shawn....pictures are of our Maiden Voyage. As always we found a few minor issues so I'm hoping SERVICE after the sale is great also.

Automatic levelers broke OCT 26th, Awning was missewed.
Optimum did take pictures also in Oct.
I called Dometic they said they never received them, I called and told Jodi, so I called Dometic myself and sent pictures in to show them the awning, they notified me that they got the pictures and where going to replace the awning, I notified Jodi by email with this information, Ive since called and emailed Jodi and was told it hasn't arrived----- but I had the Carrier Name and and Trailer No with delivery date of Dec. 20th, and person who signed it in.

They seem to be on top of getting the parts and so forth just seems like it's taking longer than necessary.

Excellent service. Especially since we came from Georgia, and we were early. Heath Clark was very accommodating. Jim Ropella had our paperwork ready to sign. Daniel gave us an excellent walkthrough of our unit and was very knowledgeable. Would 10/10 recommend Heath and Optimum Rv.

My husband Wayne and I just bought a used 2015 Cougar from Optimum RV. We had been looking for a while and couldn't find what we were looking for. George Rolle helped us find exactly what we were looking for and help us get a good deal. Just bought my 2nd travel camper from optimum RV. My salesman Sky Groom was outstanding. Extremely knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Asked what we were looking for and showed us exactly what we asked for.We took as much time as we needed with no pressure. When we picked up our new camper, he came on the walk through with us and an amazing technician named Tyler. Tyler went over every detail and showed us everything with the same professional, knowledge and courtesy extended to us by Sky. Excellent customer service. Lastly Mr.Ed in service is the best, a pleasure doing business with. Absolutely a great experience.

My husband and I bought our fourth camper, we purchased here at Optimum RV, George Rolle was our sales person, he was such a great person. He gave us a few different ideas and showed us around, we told him what we were looking for and he delivered! We would use him again and would refer him to everyone!

* We would give the service depart a half star if we could. We were asked twice what size of ball hitch we have on our truck, we told them 2", they said that was fine, the service department hitched it up and we left, we live two hours southeast of Ocala, we were about three quarters of the way home and hit a slight ditch, going about 20 mph, the camper came off the hitch, hit the bumper of the truck and bent the tung jack and jack pad. This could have been a lot worse if I didn't miss the turn on to I-95 and have is all happen there. Although Optimum RV is taking care of the damage to the truck, this should not have happened in the first place, but due to lack of knowlage in the service department it did. There were also thing inside the camper that if ANYONE did do an inspection on it, they would have known that the water filter was not even in the canister, we were told it was an extra one, the microwave door don't even open all the way, that there is no latch on one of the storage drawers, there are a few more things to list, but you get how their service department is not all that competent. We'll going to have all the repairs done by a certified Forest River service department near us.

The worst customer service I have experienced in years. Bought a brand new 2019 RV from them. We have had many issues with the RV such as, black water leaking all over the floor from day one, toilet leaking from base, water line leaking from outdoor kitchen that flooded the entire kitchen and slide that houses the entertainment center and a cracked cabinet door in the kitchen. Brought it in for service 1 week after purchase for warranty repairs. ( had to call them at least 20 times to set up service). Got the RV back after a week and found out the service tech broke one of the drawers on the outdoor kitchen, notified service dept on the walk thru about this issue and was told they would replace it asap, well it's been 3 months and im still waiting on the replace drawer and kitchen cabinet door. I called numerous times to the service dept and keep getting the run around about what's going on with the replacement items. Debbie is terrible to deal with in the service dept, I called last month and was told the items are in and we will mail them toy you, a month later and still no parts. I called again 3 days ago and was told by Debbie that she is having the parts dept check on what happened to my replacement items and she would call me back, LOL good luck getting a return phone call from them. Guess what? I never got the call back from Debbie. By far the worst RV dealer I have ever dealt with. And the repair the service dept did on the black water valve is terrible, pics attached for this review. $40.000 2019 SportTrek Touring Edition 343VIK RV purchased from Optimum RV. I have even tried asking for the owner or the general manager and get the same BS, we will have someone call you back, LMAO, good luck with that one.

We went to several places looking for a new RV and when we went to Optimum, we met with George. We already had an idea what we wanted and when we got there, he pulled out all the stops for us! He took the time to show us as many rv s as we beeded that met our criteria. He was very knowledgeable about each unit and even gave us brochures on every single one that we looked at. Everyone was very honest with us when it came down to the dollar! We pulled away with a beautiful 2018 Keystone Avalanche! Thanks so much to George Rolle & staff for all that yall did for us Texans!!!!!!

Waited at least 15 min for a salesperson. He was rude. Waited 10 more min for him to find a golf cart. Didn't get to see what we were interested in. Did not get the impression they wanted to help us. Meh. Pass.

They have a lot of RVs but each time I see one online they tell me to come in, but then it is already sold. While trying to get my propane tanks filled, I was told yes, no and they don't know. What I do know is they won't get my service.

I bought a brand new 2018 Heartland Road warrior 429 and have has several issues that needed to be resolved, most importantly a leaking main slide which causes water to puddle when it rains inside our toy hauler. Called to make an appointment before leaving for NC from FL almost a month in advance prior to our trip.

Brought our toy hauler into service with a promise that our slide leak would be fixed before our trip. Our toy hauler sat in your yard for 2.5 weeks. When I called MULTIPLE times, no one could give me an answer as to whether or not you even contacted heartland warranty to cover our manufacturing defect issue with our slide. Went to pick up our camper since we were leaving and no one could answer my calls to be told that no one knows if ANY of our issues were fixed, even the slide leak we were promised would be fixed. When I went to hook up the toy hauler to our hitch, the service people left our batteries on and killed them. This is absolutely rediculous.

In NC it rained the first night we were there, and the slide still leaks! Never fixed, and now our vibrating chair which worked before I dropped off to service, doesnt work! So I bring to have repairs to then have something else not work and still no answer as to warranty claim being filed as required, nor any follow up from service about our multiple issues that are to be covered under warranty. Your service department is absolutely pathetic! Service your customers rigs that buy from you for goodness sake!!! Brand new unit and multiple problems and nothing fixed after being in your yard for 2.5 weeks is a complete joke!

Our salesman was Gabe. We drove from Athens Ga to look at campers Gabe was so easy to talk with, he showed interest in who we were and what kind of Toyhauler we were looking for. Gabe never made us feel pressured or rushed. We came back to the lot the next day after visiting another dealer and Gabe came in on his day off to help us look at a unit and stayed with us til the deal was done! We are so glad we drove to Ocala and purchased our Toyhauler from Gabe and Optimum RV we will recommend your dealership to anyone looking for a great place to shop and purchase a camper.

Amanda is very accommodating and the price was a good value for a used camper in great condition.

We purchased a class C motorhome and what a great time we had while there. Shawn or salesman was very professional and jumped thru hoops for us. The entire sales staff and maintenance staff were more than happy to help us with each and everything we asked for. We will absolutely recommend Optimum and Shawn to all we meet looking for an RV.

This was my first travel trailer purchase and I was very pleased with the experience. Gabe assisted us and did a great job in finding us a travel trailer that met our needs and budget. The vast inventory was a little overwhelming but his knowledge of what was available and where it was located made it easy for us. Never felt pressured to buy and he was true to his word in finding us something we liked and fell within our price range. Would definitely recommend Optimum RV and suggest you ask for Gabe.

We downsized our Rv from a motorhome to a travel trailer. Lou in sales found us a unit that met all our needs and guided us through the entire process. Pete and Tom handled the purchase so that it ran smoothly and Glen, Linda and the parts department all worked to make sure the trailer was ready to go. Having purchased RV's in the past, we think this is our best experience.

Heath Clark was great to work with. We live two hours from Ocala so we mostly dealt with Optimum by phone or instant messaging. There were some initial problems with getting information using the "live chat" feature but once Heath got involved he was very responsive and helpful. Heath basically did a photo walk through for us and was great about answering our questions. When we picked the coach up everyone was very attentive, taking the time to make certain we understood how everything worked. The whole experience was very good.

I drove to Ocala from south Florida to look for a particular model that they had in stock, since nobody had any down here. They had hundreds on the lot. Ania, was very helpful. From the showing, through the purchase process, to the delivery. I would definitely recommend, and buy again...

Amanda was great at answering my questions quickly and worked hard to get me the price I wanted for my trade in and new RV. However, watch out for Drake who does the finances. He will try to trick you into buying warranties that cost nearly as much as a new RV itself. After he was removed from our buying experience everything went smoothly.

Had a wedding to attend with only a couple of days left to travel to va., was frustrated at camping world. We decided to go to the wedding without the camper. Went to optimum rv and spoke to Marco he said he could help with only a day and a half to go they sold us a camper and completely set up our truck. Unbelievable what a great job

We took our travel trailer back to Optimum RV to have the tub repaired and once again they came through for us. Jay, in service, made the tub repair and now it is safe and fixed!!!!. Thank you Optimum RV for the courteous way you handled our problem.

My wife and I have been looking for a Travel Trailer for the last 6 months that would fit our need and desire. We have visited over 5 RV sales centers all the way from Pensacola, FL, Tallahassee, Gainsville, Orlando, until we found Optimum RV in Ocala. I have to say that for starters the Customer Service was superb! the team there took their time to show us all the trailers that we have requested to see, in addition they were polite and respected our points of views on different things about the travel trailers. We found a TT that we were interested and they allowed us the time "ALONE" to make a decision on how we wanted to proceed! I did not feel overwhelmed with pressure to buy, but was encouraged to do so! They helped us with the financing and even threw in a few treats! including temporary storage until we figure out where we wanted to keep the TT on a more permanent basis. All I have to say is that if you want great Customer Service for a Good TT, then Optimum is the way to go! I am getting ready to do my first trip this weekend! Thanks Optimum for everything and making us feel at home.

I'm as happy as I can be with my new Flagstaff. Thanks to Heath Clark for spending the time with me as I looked through several RVs trying to decide. Once my decision was made, Heath was extremely helpful every step of the way from offer to delivery. I have probably called him a dozen times over the week, before and after delivery, with questions, but he has responded patiently and pleasantly to all of my questions, making me feel like I am more than just another "sale." I would highly recommend Optimum RV for your next RV and Heath Clark as the one to put you in it.

My sister and I bought a T.T. From Camden at Optimum Rv in Ocala. Camden was very professional and treated us like family. Would buy from him again.

Recently purchased an rv from Optimium Rv and everyone was super nice. They made you feel comfortable and very easy to talk to. Salesman Jose Reyes really helped with every little detail. Made me feel very comfortable as I test drove a couple of models.

We purchased a travel trailer from Marco back in August of this year. Marco did an excellent job all around and was very helpful with several followup questions that we had even some weeks after the sale. We weren't really planning on stopping in to Optimum RV that day but by chance we did as we're very glad because of it. We will definitely be back specifically seeking Marco for help. Would definitely refer others to him as well.
