My wife and I have been staying at the Omni Mount Washington Resort twice a year for the past 3 years. It's one of the few surviving grand old hotels in the White Mountains of NH. We enjoy the food, the recreational opportunities (golf, skiing, outdoor pool, spa), the incredible view off the back deck, the attentive staff and the overall ambiance of this special place. My criticisms are all minor. If you enjoy old hotels with character and history please consider a stay.

Beautiful property, wealth of history but starting to show her age - some areas not up to par, i.e. elevator dirty and apparently falling apart at the seams. Personnel not friendly (except front desk) and as a customer you do not feel welcomed. Prices, as expected are high, food is good, service is acceptable (just don't expect any smiles or friendliness). Property has many activities for both adults and children - for a fee of course. Worth staying once just for the experience but to stay again.....probably not.

perfect views on front and back deck, great food I got an assorted meats tray and sat on the deck, there is a reason why it is such a prestigious place and I go at least once a year from out of state, will likely make time for a visit as long as its standing

You can not beat the views in the White Mountains from the base that Omni Mount Washington provides. So much history there that you could spend multiple trips just exploring the place itself. They do have a few places to eat but I wish there was a more economical place for another option.

The Omni Mount Washington Resort is a hotel solidly in the grand hotel tradition. Its staff is professional and the building and grounds are lovely. I am sure that each room is lovely and has a spectacular view, considering the immediate surroundings. That being said, the hotel has issues as a 1902 creation: weak electrical system, bad wifi, sound easily penetrates walls and ceilings. We stayed during the coronavirus hysteria of 2020, so many amenities were unavailable. What disappointed me the most was the indoor pool area. The wall adjoining the hot tub had a wooden running board with black mold growing on it. It's wood. You can't have wood in an environment like that. Considering that the outdoor pool was closed and this was the only thing "to do," made it even more disappointing. Finally, the hotel enjoys the distinction, or the disgrace, depending on one's political views, of hosting a 1944 meeting which laid the groundwork for the International Monetary Fund (the IMF).

We have stayed here twice - both in the Summer and Winter - and love this property. You are in the middle of the mountains so the weather and remoteness are big factors in your stay. The Omni has developed a comprehensive list of activities to keep you busy, rain, snow or shine, and it's easy for a few days to zip by here without a care in the world.

This is a historic property so the rooms are smaller than modern hotels and, yes, you get the occasional creaky floorboard and missing amenity. You will be disappointed if you came here for fast WiFI or LodgeNet movies on a 70" HDTV. But if you came to enjoy the vistas of the mountains at sunrise or hiking the area, you'll discover the joy of being 'slightly disconnected' from modern life.

If you choose never the leave the hotel, they have you covered - there are a number of restaurants, bars and dining options onsite (and in the Inn next door). The food was good at all the places we tried, though my stand-out favorite is Stickney's steakhouse where you can sit on the veranda with a spectacular view.

If you're a Select Guest member, the Loyalty Ambassador here is amazing and will do everything to make sure you have a perfect stay. Overall it's really a very special place and the sort of hotel where you create memories instead of just a vacation.

Gorgeous resort. Great amenities. Beautiful grounds, great skiing, historic. Reminds me of the hotel from the shining but only the good parts--the ambiance, antique furnishings, luxurious sorrounds, fireplaces, chandeliers, and more.

Stayed here the second week of August 2020. Certainly understand the challenges of running a hotel during Covid but this does not excuse the lack of communication when making a reservation. There should be clear communication what amenities are operating and what is shut down. Also, if you are building another wing and people come to enjoy your views and walking your grounds this should be disclosed. Was not interested in seeing a construction site. Lack of communication and reasonable disclosures should be a bare minimum, even in these tough times. Take the time to care about your clientele and their experience.

FYI, getting a reservation was very difficult in their one restaurant and getting coffee in the morning from the coffee shop was north of a 30 minute wait.

Was looking forward to staying here and I left feeling duped and cheated.

Gentlemen at the front desk was excellent and very helpful. Views are fantastic ( looking away from the construction site). I imagine this is a beautiful hotel and a wonderful place to stay when all is normal .

Less than I was expecting from an Omni. Railing at the stairs was loose, TV couldn't hold reception. Nothing that ruined our trip. Just every other Omni I've stayed in was pristine. That said, we had a great time. Husband said the pool was good. Staff was friendly, room was clean. Beds are ok, noise gets in from outside. Shutting the shades and curtains helped. It's a very old place and looks magical from outside. Lots of weddings.

The most magnificent stay you can have anywhere. From beautiful scenery, to a wonderfully kept building, to truly outstanding employees, to numerous amenities, large rooms, excellent food, and a great spa, this place is first-class all around.

We were outside with a group of 8, our server was Ashley G, she was rude the entire time. She made side comments constantly. She knew she could add 20% gratuity for parties 6 or more so she didn t care. Probably one of our worst experiences we ve had going out. Half of us are bartenders/servers and would never treat customers like she did. She needs an attitude adjustment and needs to realize she is in the service industry and most people that are going out are there to have a good time.

Quite the palace with over 100 years of history. Here is where in July 1944, The Bretton Woods Agreement on Free Trade & Economic Stability was decided. From the back veranda, one can see Mount Washington and a solid view of the Cog Train track all the way up. Lots to do. Golfing, sightseeing and when we went fall colors New Hamshire style!

The hotel has lost some of its original charm with piano music playing from the lobby, keys for the guest room doors, and special snacks in the afternoon. In the place of these special touches seem to be higher prices and less engaged staff. I was disappointed with my stay.

The history and views are what drew us in. But for what we paid I would have expected more! Booked a queen room traditional and we had a tiny room under stair case with a FULL bed and heard everyone walking up and down stairs.

Views are beautiful. Staff is mediocre. Rooms fit the time period. Toilet rattled when you sat down(very authentic). Had better Wi-Fi connection at a Motel 6. Stated as have queen beds. I own a queen bed. I was definitely given a full. Also the mattress is great if you like 0% firmness and enjoy back pain. The luke warm low pressure shower will bring back beautiful memories of your first apartment.

Omni in Latin means all. And the Mt Wash Inn has EVERYTHING. Let alone the beauty of the structure and the landscape, the variety of things to enjoy here boggles. Cheap it ain't, but it's a delightful splurge.

This hotel is AMAZING! Aside of a few things, I would recommend it to anyone. The only issues we had with the room was the fact that the AC is extremely loud, and we woke up every time it clicked on, and also we could hear the people moving about upstairs most of the night. Other than that, the service, food, drink, staff, and ambiance was amazing. The only suggestion I have is that guests are informed of the fees prior to booking. We had no idea that there was a $29/night resort fee, plus a $200 hold per night per room, and that if we went over that, we were charged an additional $70, plus any amount we went over. I understand the hold, although it should be clearly stated prior to making the reservation, but charging guests $70 for going over the $200 hold is ridiculous. After all, the guests are spending more money at your hotel, and shouldn't be penalized for it. If anything they should be given a discount for spending more. I also feel that the $200 per night is quite high. I have stayed at other 4 and 5 star resorts in many places, and aside of 2 or 3, most only charged $60-$100 per night. $200 for someone staying 7 days is quite a bit for the average person, plus the cost of the room. What I recommend is that you purchase the room without any meals included, and pay at the table, that way there are no surprise charges at the end of your stay, and it ends up being a bit less costly. I just wish that the staff would offer that option while dining. Next time we visit, we'll make sure to request paying at the table, rather than bill to the room, in order to avoid unneccesary charges. Besides the hidden fees issue, it is definitely worth a visit, but remember to ask about fees before booking, or you'll definitely be surprised when you get there.

The inspiration for 'The Shining'!! Amazing old hotel with an fantastic restaurant and a genuine speak easy bar in the basement from Prohibition. The hotel grounds and scenery are spectacular.

Way to expensive for the common family, but yet they have tons of empty rooms , they would rather refuse matching competition. They rather have empty rooms ,fine by me . Many other nice places to stay

Picturesque resort, beautiful views, very clean. Huge lobby and outdoors porch are great. However, lack of adequate service staff and limited restaurant seating are a major drawback. You could actually go hungry at this place due to lack of restaurant seating. Many like to sit in the beautiful lobby and have a drink, but no service staff to take orders or bus tables. Customers paying upward of $500/night standing in line at a tiny bar to get their own drinks. Nice place but need to expand facilities and get adequate service staff in place.

We came in for lunch. The views are incredible! Unfortunately our meals were not. We were sat in two tables (group of 10), one table got excellent service, they ate drank and finished before we even got our food...we asked as to what the hold up was and were given snarky remarks by our waitress. Not a place I'd go back to for lunch. The food was ok, but the fact that our meal took 1:30 hours seems extreme, especially because we only ordered burgers.

When we arrived at the hotel, the attendant at the counter ignored me while she talked on the phone. After some time I was greeted and my room was not ready. Then, the room it self was not updated and had stains on the ceilings from leaks. Additionally, the sofa bed was disgusting- my children would not sleep in it, so I had to order a roll away. The heater was not functioning properly and maintenance took over an hour to arrive. I asked for an extra 30 minutes of time to extend check out and was told that was not possible. Staff was not friendly.

Breathtaking views, World renowned spa, and exceptional dining options are just the tip of the iceberg when explaining how great the Onmi Resort is, but are more than enough to justify the trip up north.

Beautiful place, warm welcome, nice room and stunning location and view of Mt Washington. But thanks to Covid, there was only one restaurant operating for dinner, fully booked, and so we ended up eating overpriced takeout in the lobby. Not great. It s a pretty isolated location so there were no nearby options either.
