The locality of this hotel is strategic where everything is a stone throw away. Darling harbour is only 10 mins walk from here. There is also a bar and some restaurant within vicinity. Good place to stay!
Radisson is located so very close to Darling Harbor & all of the restaurants near by, right near China Town & the city's cinemas & nightlife. Parking is off Sussex St which makes it easy to get to if you're traveling in from out of town & the concierge there are fantastic, as are all of the staff. The rooms are large and bathrooms spacious. The breakfast is amazing. I have stayed here before and I'll be staying here again.
Great room, Great people, Great location. Should have been 5/5, but hot water ran out and bathroom needs re grouting. Otherwise, one of the best places in Sydney. Would definitely stay here again. No doubts about that
Pretty standard hotel. This one is a bit tired perhaps.
Good room and ideal location but a bit dated, particularly the bathroom
Besides the location and wifi, lower than average value for money. Would be better classed as like a 3 star services apartment than a hotel or suite.
Nice clean and decent hotel with good spacious room and breakfast also has good choice
Very clean and great service. Excellent rooms and facilities, and centred in convenient area.
Central location. Vibrant day and night. Convenient to all
Place quiet rooms. Excellent service
Nice big rooms for our family stay and breakfast was great
A very comfortable room and great staff. I would definitely staff here again
Good location, 2 room suites available for families, nice indoor pool
I really enjoyed staying at the Radisson Hotel and Suites. It was very central to everything. The room itself was old but still very comfortable and spacious. There was a bit of mould in the bathroom but spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definately stay again.
Very good in all respects. Location perfect for stage shows at Capitol and Lyric theatres.
Good hotel.8.in the city 10. near market.100m..clean 9.easy to ride restourant 20 m
Near public park 100 m.
The bed was very soft and nice. The hoteliers were very friendly and thank you for cleaning the room when we left. Highly recommend !!
Excellent staff, with presence of mind and appropriately guided us when wanted to do activities with kids as well! Needless to say located close to the city and the harbour!
Closely located to China town, the hotel has a good spread of facilities. I received a complementary upgrade to a serviced apartment room with a kitchen, lounge area and bedroom. The kitchen equipment is basic but does the job. They were renovating one of the rooms(small) in the room which was unfinished but had no impact on my stay. Helpful and friendly staff. Recommended
Old furniture and kitchen appliances. The box with coffee capsules was all dusty inside. Rooms need a good proper cleaning
Nice hotel although room a little worn. Breakfast not bad - but wouldn't pay the 25USD for it.b
Tired dated no business facilities gym old pool old sauna old but cheap for sydney and therefore reasonable value . You are in China town
I've stayed with the Radisson group of hotels in a few places before but never been met with anything as disappointing as this before. In what will be my last experience with the Radisson group, I booked 3 nights at the Radisson Hotel and Suites Sydney, direct through the Radisson website.
It clearly stated that payment in full was required at the time of booking, with no refunds, which I was expecting being New Year.
Received my confirmation email stating the booking was confirmed, so thought nothing further. Then a week later received an email from the hotel supervisor, stating I had to fill out an authorisation form, and send it along with a photo copy of the front and back of my credit card by fax or email. If I didn t send this information the booking would be cancelled.
This was never stated at the time of booking and I was concerned about the confidentiality as I d never come across this in all the years I ve booked hotels.
So I called the Radisson Melbourne to see if I could make alternative arrangements to pay, but unfortunately told I couldn t. The Manager I spoke to at the Radisson Melbourne said they had no such policy, and that they were not aware of this. I also then spoke to Radisson reservations, and they were not ware, but said sometimes hotels in their group had their own policies.
So, wrote to the Radisson Sydney, explaining my concern, and that I m more than happy for them to take the prepayment, just not by sending my credit card details in this archaic and unsecure fashion.
Response was at best more confusing, being told it is highly illegal for us to take money from your credit card without written consent from yourself or the credit card holder. Isn t the point of an automated system to take the money from your credit card. I ve stayed at many hotel who s advanced payment system means they take the money upfront.
It also stated This is standard practice for any person that wishes to prepay their booking with Radisson Hotel & Suites. Not the case in talking to other hotels and reservations of the Radisson group.
So I decided to call them only to be met with unwavering belief that their policy is correct. Turns out this policy of the Radisson Sydney s does not confirm to the Radisson online booking system. I mentioned I was more than happy to pay upfront, but not by sending them a digital version of my full credit card.
Regardless of whether they feel their policy is the right thing in regards to security and fraud, it s not for them to dictate terms later on, and in this case different to what was stated at the time. I m making a booking to the hotel in good faith, and they confirmed it was reserved via email. To be then told it was merely held until I comply with this non-standard hotel group policy. What about entering into a contract and honouring it? Also, don t threaten the customer that you ll cancel their room reservation within 7 days if they don t comply.
It s the consumers right to choose how they pay, and the hotel should honour what they post as rules on their website, not have one rule for one hotel and a different rule for others.
So using the old saying, I d sooner cut off my nose to spite my face, they can stick their policy and their booking. Despite what was going to be a great rate, I d sooner pay more for a hotel that accommodates to their customers needs rather than antagonize them even before they even before they step foot in the hotel.
I'm sure if there's a follow up from the hotel that's cites it's their policy, but what ever happened to customer service? No courtesy call? I even mentioned I tried to call, so wouldn't you think there would be some attempt at resolution?
If this is the level of customer service before visiting, shame on you Radisson Sydney!
Stayed in a two bedroom with kitchen. Average - No dishwasher and cleaning staff didn't clean glasses and plates but left in sink? Room carpet in need of replacement. Shower needs fixing and is noisy. Staff could smile more at reception. Good - clean, quiet, great location near darling harbor and Chinatown. Good breakfast for price. Atmosphere was poor as only small lobby and no restaurant. I would probably return.
Well, it's a four-star hotel, but ... if you take a shower for more than 10 minutes, the water is cold ... and water comes out. You should fix this soon. I'm going to hang out with my family. It takes a long time to wash.
Functions room area is pretty nice and good was good. Didn't stay at the hotel though
Very good location, excellent service. All staff courteous. Close to amenities. We get pots and pans on request. Locker available in room. Pool and spa facilities available.
Excellent property. Modern furnishings. It would be good if we had a cleaning service that was better than the express one offered daily.
Accommodation is usually.
Among the convenience facilities, fitness was just dropped because it was pulling a stick pull down completely. Staff dog unfriendly. Give me two bands and don't look at the wounds.
The hot water runs out if five people take long showers but everything else is up to scratch.
Disgusting hotel. Smelt of moth balls & was moldy. Staff are useless and not very welcoming. I will never be returning again.
Rooms a bit dated and low floor time very noisy. Helpful and friendly staff
THE WORST HOTEL IN SYDNEY-STAY AWAY
PROBABLY THE WORST DISORGANISED HOTEL AMONG
THE OTHER RADISSONS ANYWHERE IN THE PLANET. REASONS;/
1) WE WERE A GROUP OF TRAVELLERS. EVEN WE PREORDERED POETTERAGE-NOBODY WAS THERE TO HELP US EVEN THOUGH WE ASKED (THERE WERE ELDERLY PEOPLE IN THE GROUP
2) WAKE UP CALL WAS DISORGANISED
3) THERE WAS NO BREAD WHEN I CAME TO HAVE BREAKFAST. WHEN I ASKED THEY SAID THAT THE BREAD IS FINISHED. THERE WAS NO CHEESE INNTHE BUFFET- THEY SAID THEY CANT BRING NEW ONE
4) THE AIRCONDITIONWD WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND THE LOBBY OF THE HOTEL WAS LIKE SAUNA
5) THE MANAGER OF THE HOTEL WAS USELESS - HE DID NOT RESPOND TO ANY OF THIS PROBLEMS. WHEN I ASKED HIM EXPLANATION WHY HE INTERRUPTED MY PRIVACY WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE- HE STARTED TO BLAME ME AS I WAS PRETENDING NOT TO BE CORRECT
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROK THIS WORST HOTEL IN SYDNEY
Decent hotel for an overnight stay. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Location very good, centre of Chinatown. Parking available, swimming pool with towels available from reception. Beds comfortable and rooms fairly quiet, ask for one high up to reduce road noise. Service is good with staff able to advise on places to visit. WiFi access is free and fast.
The room price was pitched just below that of the Hyatt / Amora etc. It didn't make up for the tired decor from the 70's / 80's, no lounge, no bar, not a lot really. Good location for Darling Harbour / China Town but that's about it. A few extra dollars will get you a significantly better hotel in Sydney.
Good place to stay in centre of the city. It is also walking distance from the harbour.
Was a great place to stay, centrally located and easy to get around. has a nice size shopping center just across the street, with lots of large and small shops to chose from.
located a 1 minute walk from George street where there is a free bus that will take you to Circular Quay, right below the bridge and next to the ferry's.
Now for the Hotel it's self, very nice easy to get around and the stuff are extremely helpful for out of towers. The pool area and gym are small but clean and fun for the kids, the hot tub is good for the Big kids. The breakfast is costly but worth it. has so much fresh food and eggs and all the other staples. Ask bout early check in one of the Few places that are down town Sydney and don't charge fof it. very good for international travelers
I am very satisfied because I am staying in a spacious room by promoting it as a room upgrade. Morning is also delicious. I expected the pool and spa but I did not. However,
Very convenient stay and the hotel staff made things very easy for us. They provided with kitchen setup as well when asked for. The spa and sauna too was very good.. pool is good enough for a swim after work.. gym is small but does not bother a lot.
The buffet BF is optional which is good keeping in mind the convenience of the guest.
Overall good place to stay.
It must improve, the air makes too much noise and it is time to update the rooms because they look like an old hotel
Location is really close to Chinatown and Darling harbour. It's about 8 minutes walk to QVB. Staff are attentive and very helpful. The room that we got was spacious and clean. The only thing that might bother travellers will be the noises (music and the people screaming in the club) around the area on weekends. Otherwise, I love the place as its really convenient and close to everything (especially food) in the city.
We went there for a business function in October 2018. The buffet lunch supplied was superb, the other facilities good and the staff friendly and helpful. I look forward to the next time we visit.
Pleasant stay. Clean and modern rooms. Helpful staff especially to tourists.
Agree with other comments - great staff and location. Hotel is older and it shows, but clean and fairly well appointed. Long way from the airport, so if you're only overnighting in Sydney then stay a bit closer.
All in all, a good place next to the bustling CBD.
Decent location, friendly service. Suite was big but quite dated in design.
Great location close to Darling Harbour and the ICC
Room was a good size. Decor is a bit old and food use an uplift but was fine. Views were non existent.
Lovely location, rooms are spacious with all the amenities. Gym is modest but pool is large. Parking can be a bit confusing. Rooms come with foxtel.
Nice and comfortable. Little dated but more bang for your buck.
Friendly staff who were always willing to help. Great room with everything needed. Close to everything and parking not an issue.
Excellent hotel. Easy check in . Waiting lounge . Is has large rooms will pointed with stayed safe balcony. Excellent breakfast. Casual dining. Pool and gym.
A room upgrade to a one-room suite? I slept at and it was good
It's inexpensive, and it's close to Darling Harbor and close to downtown, so it's easy to walk anywhere.
The bed is fluffy and the room is spacious, so it is good for a long stay.
Friendly staff and very satisfied with the swimming pool
Very comfortable rooms and great location for everything in Sydney
