Overall we had a good stay (9/25-9/28/20). Taking into consideration all the restrictions and limitations imposed by overzealous politicians, the staff at the resort made our stay enjoyable.

A few notes:

Food: The menus at the two main dining rooms (The Main Dining room and the Stickney Chop House) were exactly the same all three nights and very limited. The quality of the food was well below the prices charged. The little coffee shop, Morsels, sold Peet's coffee, baked items and other snacks. This was a great option considering breakfast in the Main Dining Room would cost you $18 for a very basic 2 egg omelette.

Staff: The hotel was understaffed. A few conversations were had with staff in which they spoke about working multiple double shifts. Not sure if this was related to the time of year or Covid, but either way one could easily see the frustration in staff being responsible for more than normal.

Facility: This place is awesome! The history, the grounds, the decks, the stables, the views, it's great. Our room (deluxe queen after an unsolicited upgrade) was nice. The bed wasn't all that comfortable, many light fixtures in the room had burnt out light bulbs, spiders had been given free reign to build quite elaborate homes in the corners of the bathroom and it didn't look like anything other than the "high touch" areas had been dusted/cleaned in quite some time.

All this won't keep us from coming back. I'm chalking much of it up to trying to operate within ridiculous parameters set upon businesses by people far removed from the actual institutions they try to regulate.

OMG I can t believe per two queen beds room in this hotel costs almost 500 dollars per night. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Yep the hotel looks beautiful from outside, red top notch like Europe castle...But! The facilities were really bad that the radiator was broken and one of staff said it would be work only if outside temperature is below 50F....And some noises always happened in sewer line during the whole night, it likes some people fight in the pipe. One more ridiculous thing was we didn t find telephone in the room and we always used our own Phone to connect front desk......Please don t waste 500 dollars on such hotel, Comfort Inn is better than it three thousand!!!

Pretty nice hotel. The parking was very easy to find. We went here on the way back from our hike at mount Washington to wait out a snow storm. They have very nice details inside and we ended up going to the restaurant inside. The food here was tasty and the drinks as well. We had some burgers, fries, and soup. Also the place is pretty large and they have some little shops inside to peruse.

Beautiful scenery beautiful on the outside but this is basically a very old building and frankly overpriced. The food was very good but the service was lacking because of not having enough staff. Same for the valet parking not enough staff. The best part frankly is the scenic panorama.

Beautiful resort, nice clean rooms, and a lot of activities to keep you busy. The food at the resort is awful, and there are no other restaurants in the area (less than 30 minutes). The only decent place to eat is Fabyans. The resort is also fairly snobby. Lots of Muffy's and Bradley's.

We have been going here for 14 years and were dissapointed in the lack of service this year, and the hotel used to do a great job with the holiday decorations. This year it was terrible. Scantly deccorated. Too bad they are cutting corners to save a buck. It used to look like a post card in the lobby. Now it looks like any other hotel. At $500/night they shouldnt be cutting corners. Also, the kids used to enjoy the rec building across the street. That has been closed for a few years and has become a big eye sore.

The views are stunning, the property is beautiful and the staff are genuine and so helpful at every turn. The food is great no matter where you eat. The nightly rate in the main hotel may be pricy, but it's worth every dollar. We had our wedding here and we could not be more pleased with how it was handled.

Came here for my honeymoon. The staff was incredibly courteous, upon check-in, we were given an upgrade to a tower suite and complimentary drink tickets. The building is gorgeous inside and out. The views from the veranda are awe-inspiring. One of their restaurants, Stickney's, is absolutely incredible, every morsel was delectable.

You pay a 5 star price, but it's completely worth it.

This is one of the most magnificent places I've seen in the White Mountains! It has beautiful history and wonderful views of Mt. Washington itself! You can sit out in the deck, or at Stickney's restaurant and just revel in the beauty!

Stunning hotel but the main dining room was terrible. Tasteless food and painfully slow service. I have no problem paying for fine dining but not in this case. Hotel and the rooms were stellar. Huge rooms, soft beds, and views of the autumn leaves that are out of this world! The price was worth staying in the resort but not for the food.

We went here for the cross country skiing trails. There are lots of trails, some medium and some easy. The views are great and trails nicely groomed (at least the easier ones). The Nordic Lounge was great, offering a warm place to take a break and grab a simple lunch.

Beautiful hotel with vintage flaws makes for a wonderful stay. However, the staff seemed very inept especially in the bars and restaurants. We sat in the bar for nearly 20 minutes before they even cleared the table and then another 20 minutes to get a house glass of wine which cost $15. Note to self - there are several very nice bars and restaurants located nearby, most run by local families. Frequent them for a wonderful meal at a reasonable price. Overall the prices within the hotel are exorbitantly high. Brace yourself.

I had a fantastic experience at this lovely resort! The hotel staff is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The hotel itself is impeccable. There are numerous dining options at the hotel and the food, from room service to the main dining room to the steak house to the bar is exquisite. There are so many activities from relaxing by the fire with a good book to skiing to going to the spa and the gym. I look forward to my next trip here!

The Omni Mt. Washington resort is nestled right in the heart of the White Mountains. The hotel keeps everything as original as possible. It is delightful to see all of the history that this hotel harbors. Make sure you look at the pictures posted in the halls, there are apparitions to be seen!

Amazing history inside this hotel. The brunch is amazing but closes early at 10am. The spa is truly amazing. Get the Venetian shower they use multiple shower heads and scrub your entire body. This is my second year in a row going me and my girlfriend have made it a yearly tradition.

Extremely disappointed with the staff of this resort. Due to covid we have to cancel our visit and the very rude staff won't give us a refund and have stated we will be charged regardless. The VERY rude supervisor simply hung up on my husband last night. Under different circumstances we would have been delighted to visit what looks like a beautiful resort, but due to the lack of compassion and understanding during uncertain times we have decided to not visit in the future.

Such a beautiful hotel with rich history. The Stickney's Pub (in the basement) has one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life. Must have. And must get again.
1 star off because the hotel walls are super thin and there are visible cracks in some of the doors. Needs a modernization.
Great service throughout the hotel, and at the spa.

Nice hotel but finer details lacking such as amenities not delivered at time expected upon arrival and morning select guess tea/coffee/juice/milk missing items. This has also occurred during previous stays at the hotel.

The Mount Washington Resort is one of the most impressive building in New Hampshire, architecture wise. The interior is even more impressive, especially its dining room.

Unfortunately, the service was bad. We waited for 30 minutes after being seated to receive our appetizers and the manager had to open himself our bottle of wine, 15 minutes after serving the meal course, because the waiter hadn't done it.

My wife is a wild mushroom lover and was eager to try the New Hampshire Mushroom Stew on the menu. Unfortunately, she vomited all night long, had diarrhea for 3 days and nausea for a week. The day after, I came back to the restaurant to meet with the kitchen staff. I first met the chef that told me that the mushrooms were picked in the wild by few local individuals. Then I met with the Dining Room manager, who did not deny that information. I expressed the concern that the restaurant staff should exercise better control of its supply chain and make sure that the mushroom pickers have the adequate knowledgeable. Once we were back home, my wife spent 18 hours at the hospital and met with 3 physicians. The conclusion is that she had a gastroenteritis caused by the ingestion of a toxic, yet not lethal, mushroom.

Four days after this dinner, I was contacted by the Director of loss prevention of the hotel and two days later by the Vice-president of Omni Hotels & resorts, owner of the hotel. The story suddenly changed. They told me that the mushrooms were raised in an organic farm. Even though, my wife and I ate the very same food during the weekend except for the first course on Saturday night, where she chose the mushroom stew and me, the shrimp cocktail, the Vice-President wrote me that my "wife was indeed suffering from an ailment unrelated to the mushroom dish she ate at the hotel". It seems that these lawyers know better than physicians!

Quick overnight getaway to celebrate a birthday - and as always- another wonderful visit. Resort is beautifully decorated for the holidays and there is so much to do. Very friendly staff. Always a treat to visit-and we come a few times a year.

We arrived after a 5 hour drive on 12/30. The following summarizes our impressions:
Drive in - Spectacular
Check-in with valet - good, nice guy
Lobby - warm, lively
And then:
Registration - poor, no decent explanation of what we booked at $649 1st night, $885 2nd night, $599 3rd night.
And then,
after a little questioning of the Concierge and restaurant hostesses:
We discover the validity of our New Years Celebration Package? Not worth the paper it is written on; accompanied by lame explanations such as "All hotel restaurants are booked, but Sir, you are welcome to eat at our other restaurants ... Fabyans is a short drive from the hotel" My wife, a most affable person, is beginning to boil over.
Other impressions:
Staff - excellent, but I get the impression they are embarrassed by the mismanagement of this hotel
After some cajoling with a restaurant hostess at the supposedly overbooked Main dining room (many empty tables) we got a table
Food - very good, but wait staff overworked. Food came before drinks
Bars and staff - Good, they try hard

My main complaint- I booked a "New Years Celebration" package to only find out that once we arrived, all facilities were completely booked for New Years. In other words, the $885 "Deluxe King Room" (laughable) rate for Dec 31 including a New Years Eve Party and meals , might have been valid if you did not mind eating in the lobby or outside.

My wife and I have traveled the world extensively, and in my opinion, this hotel would not last one month in business at these rates, if it were in Europe or even the Rockies. If I come across another Omni affiliated hotel, I will avoid it like the plague.

However, Kudos to the manager who knocked off the package price to the regular room rate. We wish we would have stayed home this New Years.

This is a beautiful hotel and golf course. On a clear day the views of Mt. Washington are spectacular. Their is a ton of history from the financial accord, to the speak easy in a cave, to the Shining, (yes King fans that Shining), their is something for everyone. Even the kids have a lot of activities.

Usually a five star experience, but it was different and not as enjoyable with the Covid restrictions. Couldnt sleep one night due to heat turning on and radiator in the room sounded like a broken fan. Front desk was indifferent to the issue stating the hotel is old. Did provide a refund of resort fee for the inconvenience however which was appreciated.

Very beautiful inside and out. A lot of pictures and stories on the walls that keep you entertained of it's history and the regions. Great staff from places all over the world. Clean and large rooms. You won't find many other places in the world as beautiful as this.

This used to be an amazing place to stay before Omni took it over. First, the hotel and the room was rediculously hot. Our room (200 sq ft like a shoebox) was close to 80 degrees and no way to lower it. They moved us to a larger room where we could at least open the window. How rediculous that they want us to "conserve energy" by using our towels more than once - how about they conserve and make the thermostats and heat system work properly. Main dining room not great. Used to be wonderful professional serving staff. Now a bunch of college kids, ill prepared for fine dining. No dress code - kids running everywhere. No place for adults to go without kids running even in the bar areas except for the Cave. Just a big disappointment for such a beautiful expensive hotel.

The hotel, ambiance, food, view, location were all just amazing. The staff was great and treated us like a 5 star hotel should. You might find wear and tear on some of the hotel, but it is over 100 years old and I wouldn't expect it to shine like a new Hampton Inn, nor would I want it to. The only advice I would give them is turn up the heat in the indoor pool. That was really too cold to enjoy. Otherwise, fantastic.
