Just stopped by to visit while at Bretton Woods. Magnificent inside! Very cool old bar downstairs: "The Cave".
Quite the view of Mt Washington looking out back - absolutely breath taking! Huge hotel and apparently still building on. Lots of history here- very impressive!
We like staying in historic and old hotels-they have so much character and of course, history. Omni Mount Washington is no exception. This grand, historic hotel is noted for the Bretton Woods International Monetary Conference. The hotel is stately and elegant. The grounds are absolutely beautiful-an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis courts, golf course, kids areas, the list goes on. It was wonderful to just sit on the veranda and watch the view. As an older hotel, the rooms are smaller than you might expect, with limited work space. The floors can be creaky so you ll hear sounds from the rooms above and around. Front desk staff were professional and efficient. Bellman was excellent. The restaurant and bar servers seem to be less interested in service. Free or valet parking. Resort Fee.
It's such a beautiful hotel, it's pricey, but worth it! The massage was amazing.
Fabulous! Stay here if at all possible. If not possible, definitely visit! Beautiful grounds. Have a glass of wine or a cup of tea and enjoy the beautiful views and fantastic service.
I visited the Nordic Point and got my skis waxed. Very nice, competent people, ready to help. The trails were too icy, but I will go back, because it looks like it may be a wonderful experience
Just wrapped up a tour of New England at this resort is worth a visit. You are very close to anything and everything you would want to do in the Mount Washington area. The rooms are very nice and the facility has everything to make your stay like being at home. We will be going back after the first snow fall.
The views are breathtaking and the hotel is beautiful but if you can t get the basics right (quiet comfortable rooms, quality convenient dining choices, and a staff of friendly people who care) none of that matters. The Omni Mt Washington was a surprising disappointment.
.
Grand hotel with beautiful mountain views. Unfortunately, the dining options are disappointingly sub-par (and expensive).
I would have given it 5 stars. Two deficiencies were: The temperature in my room dropped to 65 degrees my last night of stay and wouldn't go any higher as I showered and prepared for departure. The buffet breakfast was mediocre. Potatoes were tasteless and pancakes very dry and hard. Outside of that, all else was 5 star.
Old building with a lot of history (IMF agreement signed in 1944).
The Cave is an excellent, fun bar that opens 9pm-midnight and offers live music, shuffleboard, and a reasonable bar selection, including a delicious Woodford Reserve made especially for the hotel.
The deluxe double rooms are very spacious but the King deluxe is quite small and leaves much to be desired. Bathroom in the King rooms are quite small, for example.
The boiler broke on our checkout day so there was no hot water, making a warm shower on a -2 degree morning impossible. This was really the low point of the stay. If I were rating the place as a hotel, I would likely give it 2 or 3 stars. The 4 star rating is really on the strength of the amenities.
Went there love it they have so much you can do with out leaving. The hotel grounds best time of my life .you wont regret staying there .i want to go back one day i give them 10 stars
I visited to show a friend from Michigan how beautiful Crawford notch was, and how pretty the mount wash resort was with the mountains as a back drop. We then went into the resort so I could show my friend around and all staff were polite and gave us no hassle for just taking a look around. Spent close to two hours just looking around and enjoying the space. Amazing location with the best views in New England. My friend loved it.
Stunning location. Great food and staff is excellent!
Amazing hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was a little young and seemed to be untrained but they were nice, friendly and helpful. If you stay be sure to ask lots of questions and make your own adventure. There is a ton of activities.
A beautiful, truly grand, hotel. It is elegant, yet cozy and friendly. Lots of dining options and lots of activities on-site and nearby. A fantastic place to stay.
We previously visited here multiple times just to hang out in the lobby and visit the shops downstairs.
Then a few weeks ago, my wife & I stayed here for our anniversary. We had a great experience (stayed in a suite, and added the "Romance Package"). The food at the various restaurants was decent. The customer service from everyone was very good. The horse-drawn carriage ride was nice.
Was just here playing Ingress. I didn't spend more than 15 minutes here during this visit but I've been here before and it is an excellent experience!
The Mount Washington Hotel is truly one of the last grand hotels that makes you feel good at every moment of your stay. It is a complete experience worth having any time of the year. Without a doubt, I will visit again.
I recently stayed at the Mount Washington resort for my sister's wedding and the hotel was incredible. Everything from the condition of the rooms to the staff is top quality.
Spent a weekend here for my 17th anniversary. Absolutely loved it. The drive from the road to the hotel is beautiful, with the mountains in the background. The facility is great, loved the room and the view. And the staff went above and beyond. Couldn't be more happy about our stay.
It's like going back in time. Highly recommend it at least once in your life
Somewhat disappointed. Room a little tired, popcorn under the bed, smudged mirror, burned out bulbs, wobbly bedside lamp, and left side of mattress sagged. Noticeable paint chip on wall. Rented Princess room for event and some nasty chairs in desperate need of being reupholstered had to be swapped at our request. For the $$$ expected more attention to details even for historic property.
Beautiful and impressive. Great service. Woke up during the night with people in the hallway though, guess traditional old doors dont seal well.
My husband and I stayed overnight for my birthday Thursday, 7/5/18 at the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH. The staff member at check-in was awkward and hesitant, as if unsure of her job duties and the check in process, asking us the same basic questions several times. No smile, no welcome. Our room while comfortable was dated. Our mattress was so soft I woke the next morning with a migraine and my back sore in three places. The quality of the food at Stickney s Steak and Chop Pub for dinner and the Main Dining Room the next morning for breakfast was good but the wait staff was forgetful and inattentive causing us to wait long periods without being served. The crowning insult was that the Valet staff, while polite and efficient (to our faces), wrote our last name, which is Dumas, as "Dumass" on our valet ticket (which I have kept). Frankly I'm appalled by this witless fratboy ploy. What, has Omni partnered with Starbuck's and permits it's staff the same liberties in "misspelling" patron's names while turning a blind eye? Given this chain's reputation and high prices I expect far, far better. You can be sure I will not be recommending the Mount Washington Resort to any of my friends, colleagues or business relations. As this was a rare birthday celebration I was greatly disappointed and left with a very sour taste in my mouth.
The Mount Washington hotel is a great example of a grand old hotel, but you can't expect modern amenities.
Such a relaxing resort. Planning the next trip back!
The cross-country skiing was good but the weather wasn't quite ready for it yet
One of the most picturesque places in the Northeast.
Wonderful vacation! Great hotel and amenities. Everything you need is at the hotel. Did the horse-drawn sleigh and it was wonderful. Spa was incredible. Food was amazing. I recommend doing the hotel tour, it's super fascinating and it's free (hotel was built in 1902 so a lot of history). Staff was very friendly! Melissa from the Front Desk is THE BEST!!! She's amazing and she took great care of us. Looking forward to our next visit!
A stunning resort that has something to be enjoyed at any season. I eagerly await my next chance to experience this beautiful and luxurious spot.
Wow just so beautiful customer service amazing and wasnt even a guest! Went to the cave just amazing
love this place,we stop in here just to walk around everytime we are in the area, stayed here once in the off season,so historical, great views, fall is fantastic
Grand old hotel. Landmark. Worth the trip just to see it.
Overpriced, underwhelming... Was expecting far better experience . Amazing location/scenery; that's about all that impressed me.
We visited for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and had a wonderful getaway celebrating the occasion! The food was delicious, atmosphere welcoming, spa was relaxing and we enjoyed a long walk along the trails behind the hotel. We are already talking about our next visit so my husband can golf at the course!
With the baskets moved across the street to the front nine holes of the ball course, we now have North Country NH disc golf on actual fairways!
While this is only a temporary opportunity during construction, it's still VERY ENCOURAGING to simply SEE baskets on the managed side of the street, let alone PLAY on it.
Cons:
- $10, 9-hole, temporary course. Same rate if you have your own plastic.
- limited hours. Fri-Mon. Last start is 2:30pm and off by 5.
- A couple baskets are questionable (rusty, missing chains... yet they have plenty of inventory to swap?!) Signs of a temp course. All good.
- basket placement for #1, I think, is in a ditch between bunkers, in rough, and completely crooked. Could use some love.
- Tee placement for #9 is on top of tiny mound bunkers? (hello injuries...) Easily move 20 feet left; perfectly level.
- #1 tee marker pole completely obstructing the very first drive. Otherwise, very cool protected/mandatory design. Well chosen.
- other than tee #1- no shade, whatsoever. Anywhere. Also no place to rest/sit.
- overall, as a course, the layout feels tired.
Pros
- growing the sport.
- you get the impression people are finally acknowledging the fastest growing sport in America... If not for a fleeting moment, while construction continues.
- Loaner discs with your greens fee, if you need them.
- very friendly staff.
- Well managed rough and fairways
- definitely great views. That's a money maker.
- Some fairly new Innova baskets.
- layout provides ability to link holes for some creative/tricky/protected/designer shots.
- without considering the 9 hole design, as mentioned above, this place is ideal for practice or training.
- plenty of remaining fairways (in the front 9 of the "temp closed" ball course) to stretch out these 9 or plan additional holes.

I have been coming here for many years with no problems .This time we visited the hotel for something to eat and went to Stickneys steak & chop pub . The last time we were here my wife had bitten into a large piece of plastic that had been in her cheese burger ,and the waiter dropped a full glass of ice tea all over the table and us. Well this time the food came out cold after waiting at least 40min . When this male server gave us our food he dropped it said nothing and walked off . Never checked if everything was ok . I tried looking for our waiter with no luck .I had to ask a different waiter for drink refills and the meal was not what we ordered. I finally asked for a manager and 25 min later she showed up and said they had just requested for her five minutes ago. Well I explained the mess of a anniversary dinner we had just had and she offered us the corrected meal and desert . I declined any of the offers paid and said you will not be returnng here ever again .. The quality of professionalism and attention to detail is gone . Real disappointed.
My only recommendation is to find out where your room is in advance.
The Mount Washington Hotel is a wonderful weekend getaway.
A holdover from the late 1800's and early 1900's, "Grand Hotels" like the Mount Washington Hotel have a different feel to them than our modern hotels and inns. With small rooms and spacious and beautiful common areas, social interaction is encouraged.
There are several different dining and drinking areas within the hotel, and also some shops that serve coffee or where you can buy souvenirs or keepsakes. The staff are all friendly, the grounds are beautiful, and the food is top-notch. And the hotel also offers many amenities and activities, like spa and ski packages, sleigh rides, golf, swimming, and more.
For some, the hotel will be a bit pricey. The cheapest rooms are around $300 per night with all the fees and things added, and make sure you have extra money because they hold an additional $200 for "incidentals" until you leave. Prices vary for meals and drinks, though, and you can probably find something within your price range, especially if you're only there for one night.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Mount Washington Hotel for a unique hotel experience that will make you feel like you're on the Titanic.
GORGEOUS location. Very good food. I go here everytime I go to NH. BUT I wish they would bring back the portabella mushroom burger. I was incredibly disappointed it was taken off the menu.
Amazing BEAUTIFUL Facility
Extraordinary Staff
VERY disappointed in the food - Expected MUCH better
A great place to stay... beautiful location and lots of amenities. Always enjoy coming here for our annual conference.
Love the Mt. Washington. Location is incredible. Hotel is grand. Just wished they would tell you about certain areas being closed upon booking and not 2 days upon arrival. You pay a resort fee yet they closed off parts of the resort several times during our stay for weddings.
A classic luxury outpost with breathtaking views and unbelievable sense of history.
This place was beautiful, everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make your stay wonderful, food was great. Would definitely stay here again.
It's a beautiful place, good food, good drinks, and the views is breath taken
All I have to say is the view is beautiful. I won't comment on the negatives. The hotel needs some updating in the rooms and the meals served at brunch. The staff is friendly.
Nice views and very elegant inside the building. Meals were a bit pricey, but good.
I never been in the hotel, only from the outside/air. I hope one day I can afford just for one night :) but from what I can see all the way from up...it s very beautiful!
Changing of the leaves view is exceptional. Sitting by the fire and enjoying a Scotch.
Stopped by while in the area to see about the historic hotel. While very grand and impressive, "regular" customers were given parking spaces within a large gravel spot and space was still hard to come by.
The campus is beautiful and welcoming. Inside the hotel the extravagance is only partial. Paint is chipping and the lighting is dark and dreary. Cleaning staff was everywhere, and no employees were greeting potential guests.
The hummus platter was delicious. And the view is beautiful
So incredibly disappointed with this place; it has been ruined by those parents who bring their children and let them run wild, assuming somebody else will keep an eye on them. This beautiful historic hotel suffers irreparable damage because these kids have nobody keeping them in line, and many of us pay a bit extra to enjoy this history and grandeur and excellent service and beautiful location. To those parents, and you know who you are...go to Chuckie Cheese next time or stay home. We're tired of your kids, too!
Gorgeous views and great drinks, apps and service on the Veranda. Also, visiting with some nice people from Montreal.
This is a cool spot to stop in and walk around grab lunch and enjoy history.
Beautiful old hotel, friendly service even in the pandemic. Not very updated but very quaint, full of charm! Room was very clean and cozy, so fun to stroll the hallways and read about the history of the hotel and it s rooms/history. Would recommend for a romantic weekend get a way or a family trip!
One word Amazing, a must go. The only thing I will say is it's pricy but if your a grey poupon then money will not be a problem
A quaint destination in the slopes of the white mountains. The amenities provided are great for the whole family, with lots of activities also scheduled through out the weekend. Of the things to do, i highly recommend the princess tea on Friday or Saturday.
Very disappointed in our stay this year. Two of our 7 room reservation were not cleaned, missing bathroom items, towels, shower matt and our meals were probably the most disappointing.
The resort is a beautiful and historic. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I've always enjoyed my time here.
Was in the area and dropped by the Omni for drinks in the rosebar. Good selection. Seating is limited and honestly more of a tea room; felt weird drinking beer in a room decorated like my grandma's house but the view is great. Wish the Cave opened earlier.
We have stayed at the hotel in the past many times but this weekend wasn't good and it questioned whether we would be back in a few weeks. In the lobby and rose bar, we had to track down waiter, get our own menu, and find our own silverware. They had two weddings going on which caused the whole hotel to be crazy and service was bad. Also, they offered pizza and bingo on Saturday night which was a disaster. We cancelled dinner thinking we would eat pizza at bingo and found out you only got a slice of pizza if you won the bingo game. We had cancelled dinner at stickneys because of bingo and pizza based on what the front desk told us. The lady was friendly in bingo just not what we were told.
Great location, very beautiful and classy vibe. Had an old money vibe though, not very diverse population (99% white, 1% Asian).
Ambiance is good. Very warm inside hallways due to kind of heating system. Resort fee pricey for use of pools, everything costs $$. No coffee maker in rooms but free coffee in lobby. TV channels in/out due to satellite. Must try for experience.
A stunning property; extremely professional in every way. The night shift management team and Valet are life-savers extraordinaire. An absolute dream in the most beautiful location.
