Our old tankless water heater was acting up, and we wanted a professional to look at it. JW was the only company I found that could get someone out the next day. All the others were at least a week out. Troy arrived at the early end of the appointment window, knew what he was doing, shared a ton of useful information, and stayed almost an hour. Well worth the $29 service call. Their rough price estimate for installing a new unit was twice what a local outfit said, but I feel sure the work would be top-notch.

This should be no stars. I wanted an estimate to replace two showers and I confirmed on the phone this was work Jon Wayne does and could deal with most types and materials. I chose not to do business with Jon Wayne after experiencing difficulty in first scheduling an appointment for an quotation and then the plumber / estimator arrived very late. Schedule window was 11AM - 3PM. He arrived around 6:30 PM. The dispatcher called around 2:30 PM and said the plumber would be a little late. The plumber / estimator was very respectful and looked at both work sites and then said he'd have to have someone else come out to give me a quotation. I was very clear on the phone what the project was so it is a bit of a mystery why Jon Wayne would send a person who couldn't develop the quotation. The plumber schedule the second person to come to my home on Friday afternoon to look at the job. I cancelled this appointment as I do not wish to waste anymore time with this company. They wasted seven plus hour of my time already. During this event, I interacted with the on-line chat after 5 PM (polite but unable to handle my concern); I called the office a little after 5 PM and asked for a manager and she said they all left for the day. The person I spoke with said she made a note and would have a manager call me in the morning. This never happened.

John Wayne always has professionals answering maintenance and repair calls. Today was the annual checkup for our HVAC system, our electric system, and our plumbing systems. Jackie arrived on time. He was professional and courteous. He performed the routein checks very ubobtrusively. When finished he explained everything he had found and encouraged us to use our Whole House Rescue service to get the projects we want completed. My husband and I felt secure with Jackie in our home. We are still very pleased with John Waynes rescue services and we will continue using and referring John Wayne services.

This is the first I used your company.. The technician came, was very pleasant & knowledgeable. At first, I thought it was something minor. Turned out that I had to replace two parts. The visit/repairs was a little expensive. Thank God for my discount, esp when you weren t counting to pay so much.. Even though it was a hard blow, I m thankful to have my a/c up and running...ty Cisco!

I called to schedule an estimate to replace my AC condenser unit and take advantage of their advertised 50% off Black Friday deal. The operator confirmed that they were offering 50% off of services and scheduled my appointment. The technician arrived and said 50% was only for complete new system installations. The telephone operator didn't mention that! So after the technician attempted to up-sell me on a new system (claiming my old system would never work right even if they did the repair I requested), I said I only want the quote for the replacing the condenser. He left, and they called me 3 days later to make sure I didn't need anything else; I said "I still need the quote," and they said it will be emailed soon. It has been 3 months and I still haven't received the quote!

TL;DR Pro-tip: John Wayne uses deceptive sales tactics to get a technician into your home. Then if they can't upsell you to a "WAY MORE expensive" system, you're dead to them.

They must have paid a fortune to obtain and repeatedly run the most obnoxious commercials in San Antonio. The subject of the commercials is not bad but that noise they call music is horrible enough to make me look for another company and change the channels. Most of their profit must go to paying for all those commercials! UGH!!!!

If you are looking for a company that will schedule you a week out and then cancel the day before they are schedule to show up, then Jon Wayne is the company for you. I made an appointment with their office over the phone on Feb 18 and I requested to be put on their urgent list. The customer service representative for the company scheduled me for Feb 26. On Feb 25 (the day before they were scheduled to arrive), I received a call from a Jon Wayne representative who informed me my scheduled service date was moved out to Mar 16. I don t think Jon Wayne s scheduling department has clear understanding over their workload because they are scheduling out dates and are not able to show up. I called on Feb 26 to let the company know my frustration and they said it would be used as learning opportunity. Thanks Jon Wayne, for wasting my time.

We only needed an annual tune-up of our 3 year old system, so I expected a 30 minute or less visit, but the very professional techbician(Cliff), did an amazingly thorough job of checking our system out top to bottom. Furnace, filters, condenser, drain lines, and freon/pressure checks. He also checked efficiencies and gave us a full written report. Then he inventoried all our equipment, adding them to their system so they would have all the pertinent info they needed should i have a future failure. Let's just say that I KNOW who I'll call if I do have that failure. John Wayne is a GREAT value for your dollar. I highly recommend!

Not impressed. Their A/C service agreement is a joke. I wanted a quote to run electric to my shop which is 27 feet from my outside breaker. I just wanted a few 110 plugs an a couple of lights. The quote was over $10K, which $4K was just to trench. A couple of years ago, I had 4 times the work done on my shop in Amarillo for $3.5K that is including 200 feet of trenching.

We contacted Jon Wayne Service Company because of possible problems with our air conditioning ducts. Christopher Posada was the HVAC design consultant that came to our home. Christopher was professional and thorough, checking each room and attic. He offered suggestions as to what we should do to correct the problem. While we have had two other companies come to our home and offer no solutions and just charge us for a service call, Christopher knew exactly what to check and his suggestions resolved the problem we were having. We called Jon Wayne Service Company because they were the top company that Angie's List suggested. They sent Christopher the same day. We will definitely turn to them for future services. And we would like to most importantly compliment Christopher Posada who is definitely an asset to the company.

After the nightmare of dealing with Elmers Plumbing (do not ever use them!!! Seriously do not!), Jon Wayne was such a windy experience. We were very pleased with the service from the thorough (free) estimate by John (on a Sunday!) to the installation of a water heater on Tuesday. The installation was clean. I owned a construction company years ago and for me the sign of an experienced and carefully done job is its aesthetic appearance, as well as its operation. That means how things like conduit are sized and line up. The installers turned the tank so that the pan drain and the tank outlet port were together. They installed a bracket so the expansion tank would have a support to rest against. Jon Wayne may be a little more expensive, but these days you get what you pay for. I will definitely use them again.

I was invited to sign up for the $178.40 yearly service contract when I called to have a plumber come and inspect a faulty water heater. I was told by signing up this would put me on a priority list so naturally I signed up.

I scheduled my appointment for the water heater repair and was called five minutes until last minute of my given time frame (2p-6p) to say the plumbers were working on other homes and would be late. They could not give me a time. I wasn't up for waiting until 8pm so I told them to reschedule me for the next time they had availability. Once again, I was called at 5 minutes until my allotted scheduled time frame ended (12p-4p) to once again tell me the plumbers were working on other homes and couldn't make it until much later. Again they couldn't tell me a time.

I regularly schedule plumbing and other services not only for my own home, but for my rental property and also for my employer's home. NEVER have I had dealt with such unreliability. I took off of work twice to accommodate these schedules and twice they couldn't perform as promised. One time is acceptable but not twice. I can't imagine how their customers who are not on the "priority service contract" are treated.

I will never rely on Jon Wayne for any type of work. I feel the "priority service contract" is a scam. I have disputed the charge through my credit card company and am telling everyone I know about my experience through word of mouth and also social media. Beware of this company.

Cobey was very informative and professional. He arrived on time and explained everything I had any question about. He made me feel comfortable that I was getting great value for my money. Originally we called Jon Wayne our to get an estimate on a new system (which we will probably get from them) and he was able to resolve a couple issues with our a/c unit to keep us cool until we could make the responsible decision. They know they aren t the cheapest, but their service is worth the little extra that you spend. You know it is being done right, or they will come back to make it right.

If you are anywhere knowledgeable about skill services then you probably can identify the dishonest sales tactics of Jon Wayne Service Company immediately. Unfortunately for us, we "were" unaware, at the time, of what to look for. Be aware and ready for a high pressure sales situation and the extremely unnecessary services that they will inevitably say you need when you don't actually need it. They will take advantage of your incompetence in the practice and avoid providing you with any alternatives without a word and later hide behind the lie of "we didn't mention it because we probably don't offer it." So it's better for their business to not inform you, as the uneducated one in the situation, of all your options, even those outside of their willingness to provide. Shady, greedy practice to get more money out of you. It honestly makes me sick to know a local company in the city I love is blatantly taking advantage of people for THOUSANDS of dollars during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our plumbing issue was a seal issue on one of our toilets but ended up being a $5200+ repair because or "specialist" saw we now need to get our lead flange completely replaced because it's old and "could" be causing leakage. Unfortunately, for us put in an on the spot sales pitch and being uneducated in the practice we are stuck paying a ridiculous amount for the work performed. At the time, we had no idea there were alternative options that were far less expensive. We have family and friends in plumbing, who at the time of our issue were unavailable to assist, thus reaching out to Jon Wayne Service. These other service company/individuals have come to check the work since Jon Wayne has assisted are also extremely upset that Jon Wayne can come in and completely steal money from customers like us. I've been trying to get more information from them regarding our job from September 2nd and it takes weeks to get a response. After several attempts over a couple weeks, I was able to speak to a plumbing manager who said he would contact me back later that day and it has now been another 7 days with no reply or call back. They have no interest in helping you further once they have your money. I'm not sure how Google and Facebook show such a high rating the true rating is on Yelp. There has to be paid reviews or some incentive provided because it's extremely hard to believe after our first interaction with them.

They were all ready to install the next day but my schedule did not allow me but regardless they have me set up the following week!! My only complaint is you just made me spend all my money ! But I definitely know it will put more value back in my home!!!

That s fine, called them back out, they sent a guy who told us we made a bad decision choosing that solution. Why we would choose that? Would love to pull $10,000 out of my pocket for a new AC, happen to be in a pandemic. AC repair is never a quick fix but during a pandemic that has affected my business, I m not as lucky. We were very impressed with their eagle eye. They pointed out many items no one else noticed before, especially our water tank closet and it s proximity to our a/c intake vent. Gave us advice as to how to keep potential gases from escaping into the vent system. Although we only had estimates for electrical work, I think we re sold!

James Quandt was the service tech on this call and he started out by asking questions about what was wrong. He was able to then quickly address the problem and offered two options to repair the problem.
James is very professional and proactive in offering solutions then implementing the repair.
Setting up the appointment was smooth and getting a call 40 minutes before his arrival saved me from sitting around for a 3 hour window.

We had a stellar experience with JW. Our rep, Jake Pettit, was really knowledgeable and provided so much insight to make sure we knew what we were investing in. Along with the finance department, Jake went above and beyond to make the installation affordable. The following day, the technicians, Marcus and Ryan got started right away and worked diligently throughout the day, never compromising the quality of work despite the long hours. It means a lot to our family to finally have central air and heat after years of window units. We've had some pretty bad customer service on large purchases lately so working with John Wayne was a breath of fresh air (no pun intended!). My entire experience with Jon Wayne Service Company was outstanding. Cobey, Mario and JJ exhibited excellent customer service and workmanship. I upgraded my kitchen/ dining room lighting and I was provided options that met my budget. Mario and JJ were efficient in the installation process and they both went above and beyond answering all of my questions! My lighting looks fabulous and it feels like I have a new kitchen thanks to them. I will be calling Jon Wayne again for any other service repairs in the future. Thanks guys!!!

James was very professional. Upon arriving, he presented me with his business card and introduced himself. He entered my home with booties on his feet. The company is very considerate and mindful about not tracking dirt into the customer's home. After fixing the problem with my furnace, he tested it 5 times to make sure the problem was resolved. I was very happy with that. James was very courteous and respectful and completed the job in a very reasonable amount of time. The cost of servicing was reasonable as well. I don t know why I been sent a review when no work has been done. The guy showed up at the right time and explained the situation with good details. I told him I wasn t expecting the amount to be so high and I thing it s because I don t have a good amount of understanding on electricity works. However, he told me he was going to send the quote via email which I didn t received yet. Instead I received this email to complete a review. I need the job done and is my right to shop around, like I said in the end I need the job done and I ll love to choose the best candidate not the best price. I don t know if telling them I ll be shopping around make it change their mind to send the prices but this is why I give them the 3 stars.

Our home a/c outdoor unit broke down. Jon Wayne was the only 1 of 3 services contacted able to come out same day. Technician Abel spent 3 hours with me not just diagnosing but helping me strategize a well rounded resolution. This included understanding our indoor unit (airflow handler). This was super important given replacing the outdoor unit wouldn't solve a previously unnoticed airflow problem (causing stress). We agreed on a comprehensive solution that we understood and could agree to. Abel made the effort to confirm all parts and available labor so we could be back up and running next day avoid 3 consecutive nights without cooling. Thanks!

We received excellent customer service from Jon Way Service Company. They were very clear in explaining the system issues and provided a clear explanation of the different repair cost plans available. I felt as though they were truly trying to help me out by thoroughly explaining my options in order to make an informed decision.

Previously, I was using ANOTHER central air company to service my a/c system. We had problems from the start and frequently had to have repairs done. However, it got to the point that the other company no longer wanted to come out to fix it.

This time, I called Jon Wayne for help. I want to thank Brent Christopher and Joshua Estrada for laying out the facts and giving us options to decide whether to fix our current system or to install a complete new system.

We contacted John Wayne yesterday afternoon due to a/c issues and were able to get someone out today, which was a quick turn around since it s summer. Lane came out to service our ac as it had not been cooling the house. Turns out we had a bad blower motor, which he was able to replace. He informed us about saving money by becoming part of John Wayne Club program, so we did and were surprised to learn all the great perks to joining. Lane was friendly and professional the entire time. He ended up working with us for about 4 hours (he had to order parts and go pick them up) and we appreciate all his hard work. Thank you for great service!

We recently used Jon Wayne to obtain an estimate for a new air conditioner. The HVAC Design Consultant listened to all of our requested features and delivered options from which we were able to choose. The consultant was attentive to gathering ALL the information that the installers would need to complete an efficient installation next day.
The consultant displayed all of the recommended Covid 19 safety requirements while in our residence.
We were very pleased with this interaction with Jon Wayne.
Installation occurred next day. Our home is an older home and replacing our air conditioner required much time and effort to bring it up to code. The technicians worked continuously until the job was finished, displayed a great work ethic and were professional throughout.

AJ was the individual responsible for updating electrical wiring and improving air flow for my ac unit. Before he left I noticed my A/C was producing the coldest air Ive known it to produce. I had the ac tune up done and my tech was Carlo. He was awesome, told me what he was going to do, answered my questions and even helped me fix something else. He was very good and I would have him come back and even gave me his number in case I had any questions. That ac tune up was good for my system that is 3 yrs old. Nice and cold in here now! Thank you Carlo!!

Bobby did a great job locating our sewer lines and determining whether there were places in the terra cotta pipe that were crushed. Even got up on the roof to do it! He is going to get us a formal proposal to fix everything and even add a clean out value that currently does not (but should) exist.
