we asked them to install an new air conditioner both outside and the upstairs unit instead they broke our water pipes, destroyed our Christmas stuff, and some how unplugged our cable just seem like they don't look at there skill set just hired whom ever to work for them they brought 3 trucks and cluttered my street with there truck it took 2 to install the A/c and break our water pipe and they had to bring another to fix the broken pipe the ceiling is now Damaged and sagging from the water and how they broke our Christmas stuff is unbelievable they are not replaceable and no where near where they were supposed to be working at same with the cable...... just a bunch of clowns wanting money DON'T BOTHER WITH THERE BUISNESS

J.D. was very professional and knew his stuff. However their dispatch is garbage. Had an appt for sat, they bumped it up to Friday. I made the appt online and left notes of needing a tankless water heater flushed/cleaned. They sent this guy from spring 30-45 mins north to do nothing but look at the system. So no work done. I m looking elsewhere for someone that can do the job and not waste my time. None of that reflects on the technician who did a fine job and knew what he was doing.

I selected John Moore, because I wanted a reputable company that I know will be in business long after my warranty expires! I also appreciate the financing options that allow me to not be out of pocket for the full amount at time of delivery. I was approved for a plan that better meets my current situation.

Mark just goes to show you that experience is ever...

Mark just goes to show you that experience is everything. He was the second person to my home to fix the toilet in our third floor master bathroom. The first tech said that there was no blockage within reach of his snake, so it must be farther in the sewer. He wanted to come back, take off the toilet and run a camera in the sewer. Because of Mark's experience, he could hear and feel that the blockage was there and possibly in the vent pipe as well because of the gurgling sound the toilet made. In retrospect, it really could not have been a blockage in the waste lines or the other fixtures on that floor would also be blocked. His knowledge saved me from spending at least over $1,000 via the other tech's method. I have always felt like John Moore usually has the client's best interest at heart, and it was proven in this case. thanks Mark for a job well done, I will ask for you in the future!

As a first-time customer, I couldn't be more impressed. I've used other companies several times, but their prices were too high and too unpredictable, and they lacked professionalism.

I could not be more pleased with John Moore Services, and will definitely be calling them again. It's nice to see someone in a service-related industry do things with this kind of excellence. As a person who develops competency training in my job, I can tell that they emphasize training, somehow...or they would not be getting these kinds of positive results.

Had JM replace AC unit last year and found out we paid A LOT of money for essentially a great value brand AC unit. Could have got a better unit for about $2000 less than they charged from someone else. Called them out yesterday because my AC was short cycling and wanted to see if it was a warranty issue first. It wasn t. It s a tiny clog in the drain line. They wanted $439 to blow it out and poor some solution down the drain. Please don t let this company take advantage of you like that. Watched Videos and learned how to clear it myself but still don t have the time. Called a local small business and they were here and gone in 30 minutes and on their way with just $80 of my money. I got on here and was shocked to see the 4.6 star rating. Please read all the one stars, they all basically say the same thing. At least get a second estimate before agreeing to their work. JM will cut you a deal if you agree to sign today. Please know that that is a sales gimmick and you are being sold to not helped.

I think my take away from my John Moore experience is I have confidence the job will be done right. AC out. Henry came and fixed within half hour. 100 temp 90 in the house. I am so greatful and thankful.

Troy went to my mom's house to assess a water leak at the meter. My mother is an elderly Hispanic woman. My mother called me on the phone & put Troy on so I could speak to him. I gave him my email address so he could send me a couple of estimates for 2 options for possible repairs. Troy was professional, kind & courteous. He explained everything to me & I to my mother. Troy was very pleasant & easy to speak to. My mother was comfortable & at ease with Troy's visit. When you cannot be there first hand you need someone like Troy with a warm smile to interact with your loved one. Thanks Troy for being a wonderful person & a top level employee.

Had John Moore Services out for a A/C quote. Everything went well. Financed full A/C purchase. Booked for next day install. Everything about this company was very impressive so far. Install was ok, they were 30 min late for there apt, they took 8 1/2 hrs to finish. After I told them multiple time that I need to leave at 6pm that didn't happen. But they did finish and the A/C works great. But they left and didn't tell me they busted my attic access door, left there floor cover with all the insulation on it and left the light on in the attic. I dont care about the floor cover or the light those are things I can clean up but to not tell me about the door was very aggravating. I understand things happen on the job but just tell me. Anyways John Moore Customer care contacted me right way and was very helpful in fixing the problem. I am very satisfied with the services and products and financing. But also very impressed with the care that John Moore had with making sure I was taken care of after the issues. Glenn, the first A/C tech I had was great, he came after the issues to see if there was anything he could do. I will be using this company again because the services are great and if there is any issues they fix it quickly.

Second time in two weeks my new air conditioner stopped working. bought the unit 2 years ago from john Moore and every year it has problems and every year they tell me there is nothing they can do for me. now in the hottest months of the year my ac is totally down and again i have to miss work for them to come out and tell me that there is nothing they can do because they sold me a defective unit and wont replace it. all i want is for the $10,000 that i spent to be worth it. i want my house cold and the unit to last. is that too much to ask? i did everything they asked from new insulation and radiant barrier and more vents in the attic and still my house stays at 80 degrees and up. by the time they come out my house will be so hot its worth it for me to fix it my self or go to a hotel. evan now as i am writting the review i am sweating in my office with my $10,000 investment doing nothing... NEVER USE JOHN MOORE THEY ARE A RIP OFF AND YOU DONT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!!!!!

We had John Moore service our house on 4/24/12. They replaced 12.5 up to 15 MFC/440V Motor Run Capacitor (per the invoice) in a timely manner and all was well and good. Until today, 6/11/15. I got a collection saying I owed $250.99 on a $299.99 bill. I had given them my credit card number but apparently their paper management skills are lacking. According to them, they did manage to charge my credit card $49 (on 4/24/12), it's the remainder that supposedly fell through. Impossible for me to prove it was paid, seeing as how my bank only keeps records for 6 months, not 3 years. Awesome job John Moore! So consumer beware, you will have your service done but KEEP ALL PAYMENT RECORDS because they'll be calling you about non payment 3 years later. Looks like I get to pay for my service twice, thanks John Moore!

I thought I had an AC issue, so they sent an HVAC tech out to take a look. It turns out the breaker needed to be replaced, so he set up an appointment with one of their electricians. They didn't charge me for the AC visit. The electrician knew exactly what to fix and did so promptly at just under what I thought I'd pay for a job like that. I got a $50 gift card, so it actually came out cheaper. He gave me an estimate for a new panel that was exactly what I thought I would pay so, in short, there were no surprises (besides the bonus gift card). Because of their professionalism, courtesy and promptness I would definitely use them again.

My daughter sat and waited for someone to arrive and I had to call at noon and they stated they would be late with no call previous to let someone know! Then twenty minutes later I get a call that they don't service my area of ALVIN! Did they not know that when I scheduled it! It's true, these guys are real pros. I was renovating my kitchen in my condo, I needed to rewire and install a circuit breaker box. I received an estimate from these guys first but everybody said I need to get at least three estimates. I wish I never wasted my time with other unreliable contractors and just handed the job to them immediately. They came on time and finished on schedule. He even came back on the second day and redid work which he thought could be better. Everything came out great. Thanks John Moore Services.

William called 30 minutes before coming to house. Was early in morning before heat of day started inside house (such a relief, I had family from out of town visiting who not used to Texas heat). Got AC up and running, gave me some very helpful tips to maintain my outside ac units (clean coils with water hose) and also explained to me about air filters ( I had been using two for one unit but since the one by blower a 5 inche thickness it not necessary to use the other one I had been using. Friendly, helpful. Offered and explained other John Moore services as well. Thank you

Watch Out for John Moore !!! If I could give NO STARS I would but the review does not allow this.

It may depend on the technicians that you get with John Moore...but watch out....I recently had to have two A/C Technicians out during the same day to try to repair my A/C system which was not cooling correctly. I had the first technician at my home and he advised it was a sensor and removed this and said I should be ok. The system worked for a few hours and then it failed to work properly. I have another technician out who said it would cost me $1,400 to repair my system and that the first technician should not have removed the sensor. The second technician advised that he would have to return the next day... the next day came and no one called or even came back to my home. Very poor communications and quality by John Moore. I called out another A/C repair service and upon their arrival they noted that the John Moore Technicians either did not know what they were doing or that they had made a change on my system and were trying to sell me something that I did not require. It almost felt as if John Moore had sabotaged my system in an effort to sell me parts and labor at an overpriced amount. (I also checked with the other A/C company for the same replacement of parts at 1/2 the cost of John Moore) .... I would not recommend John Moore and their A/C repair services due to this particular event. I have had this same type of incident also happen in the past with one of their electrical technicians who tried to sell me a large bill of goods and said he would return the next day but never showed up. There really seems to be some quality concerns occurring at John Moore related to overselling, possible dishonesty and lack of proper, fair and quality technical services.

The next morning I was harnessed with no less than 6 phone calls wanting to change my appointment to earlier in the day .Tech called and was rude...had waited over a hour for earlier time. My appt was for 2-4!

We needed expert help to determine why water was rising in our sink. It took the John Moore technician less than 30 seconds to recognize the cause, and the solution is in place now - 24 hours after the problem was recognized.

Mark (the plummer) came out 3 times during our remodel and left a mess each time!! He did not adjust the shower head pipe correctly when he put the walk in shower panel in and we had to call and have him come back to fix it. He also did not install sealant after installing the shower kit. He said it did not need it because the shower panels interlocked. My husband and I did not think that was correct due to water could go behind the panels so we had to have the drywall technician seal all of the corners. Mark also used our hand towel to clean up some of the debris in the shower on his first visit and the towel had to be thrown away!! He also did not contact us to let us know he was on his way on two of the visits and spent a lot of time on his cell phone during his first visit. One of the hardware pieces had to be ordered and he only kept us informed on the part when we asked him when he was here. We had to follow up thru John Moore. This was an expensive remodel and you expect to have a great experience but it was terrible!!! We will not use them again or recommend to any of our friends or family.

The tech did not say the price up front, but to be fair we didn't ask either.....just didn't think a company would charge that much. Not only was the service fast and the technician great, but the price was incredibly reasonable. John Moore Electrical will be my first call if I have problems in the future!

HORRIBLE PEST CONTROL EXPERIENCE.... Moved into my new home and had squirrels in my attic, after removing a few using traps provided by other pest control companies, this was only temporary. I was advised to seal my roof, and was referred to John Moore as they were the only ones willing and able to reach my 3rd story townhome roof. After getting a lengthy confidence inspiring sales pitch that "guarantees their work", I agreed to the cost of 3,200 dollars or so. After paying that amount, which was not easy after buying a new home, I left it in their hands only to have them call me back the next day saying they need to rent a lift to access the roof and will have to charge me yet another 275 dollars! Fine, I bit the bullet, and agreed hoping this would solve the problem and they would have what they needed (why they couldn't eat that charge is beyond me).

After sealing the roof I felt confident the squirrels were out. One was trapped inside which was eventually caught in a trap and removed promptly by the man Juan himself. Great.

Over the next few months the squirrels kept getting in. Juan would come out, patch up the new holes and be on his way. This happened consistently over the next year, and I kept having to call him out to work on it.

After my 5th or so call to have them come out and fix the problem that still persisted, they tell me they cant send anyone out until I pay another $250 dollars to renew their warranty!

I was beside myself when they asked for MORE money after not having fixed the problem the first, second, third or even fourth time around and spending upwards of 3500 dollars!

Here I am in $3500 in the hole, with absolutely no solution. That is money I will never see again, and I still have squirrels destroying my attic.

John Moore will never get a penny more out of me or anyone I know, I will make sure of that!

Stay away, and don't buy into their salesmanship. Total rip off!!

I purchased two high end AC units from John Moore ...

I purchased two high end AC units from John Moore eight years ago. They came with ten year warranties from Lennox. The blower on the downstairs unit quit working and they reset the controller board twice now to try to fix it. I asked them to just quote the labor on replacing the board as the part itself would be covered by warranty. They quoted $1500 in labor for what is maybe a 30 minute job. I couldn't believe it. I asked three times, is that labor only, Yes, yes, yes. Needless to say, I won't be using John Moore anymore. The Lennox warranty should be honored by any repairman as the part will come from Lennox for free. I would highly recommend you get quotes from other repairmen before doing anything with this company. I'm guessing their labor rate must be on the order of $1000 per hour for repairs. It took the technician less than 15 minutes to pull all the connectors and reset the existing board. To put in a new board would then only be a removing and reinstalling a handful of screws. Update: Regarding your response, I have e-mailed the quote from your company to you. The labor quote to replace the Control board and wire harness is 1499.99. There is an additional quote for 1199.99 to replace the fan motor and capacitor if necessary. Update: I never heard back from John Moore despite sending them an e-mail with their quote. The board failed again last week. I contacted another service company who replaced the required parts under warranty. Their labor rate is $82/hour with a visit fee of $79. It took 30 minutes to diagnose the problem last week and 30 minutes to replace the bad parts this week after they received the new warrantied replacement parts. Since I bought a one year service contract for $120, I did not have to pay the visit fees and my total bill was $202. Even if the parts had not been covered, it would have cost another $600 for the parts, far less than the John Moore $1499 quote for labor only. I saved $1300 buy using someone other than John Moore. That company will never get business from me again. Recommend anyone using them seek additional quotes.

Plumber Mr. Matthew King and his assistant plumber came and did replacing water lines for my whole house and installed new carbon filter, replaced water heater finished in two days. He was so professional ways of doing things promptly, neatly with no mess.
I think he is so kind, bright and skillful, I would recommend to anyone who needs the plumbing work done. He is an excellent plumber that John Moore Company should be proud to have him there.

Called John Moore Co. to find and fix a comode seal leaking under the floor. They showed up on time, quickly found the problem and fixed it. Today, William came to replace the floor covering, (on a Saturday). Called early, showed up on time and did a superb job. Thanks for the execelent workmanship. Also thanks to Wendy, who chased down the materials, flooring at Lowes, and brought them to the house yesterday. Compenent people who know what they are doing show up on time. Probably a lot more costly than other soulutions but worth the money. Thanks to Fred, Wendy, and William. Good job folks.

John Moore installed our ac and heating units a few months ago. They did a great job. It had been working great but one of the heaters stopped working. I put in an online request and the technician arrived in less than 2 hours and fixed the unit. The John Moore office and the technician were very nice and professional. I chose John Moore because I needed some who would respond when I had a problem. Now I know they do!!!!
