Art replaced the flow tech meter and was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him. He also gave my husband some advice on equipment in the attic that was very timely and appreciated.

We called John Moore on June 25, 2018 due to electrical issues in our home. The operator scheduled us for the very next morning. June 26,2018 at 9:45 AM Joshua Davis came to our home. He immediately discovered we had tripped a breaker and resolved our problem. Joshua was very polite, courteous and professional. Joshua was very patient and showed us how to resolve the issue if it occurs again. The best news was it was covered under warranty from work they had previously done for us.
TL;DR - John Moore created a false sense of urgency to perform 10 mins of work for $800 when a little bit of bleach would of fixed slight problem.
My wife and I called John Moore out to look at a possible clogged AC drain line that an inspector said looked clogged. The John Moore guy went up to the attic to look at the drain line then came down and said 'quick turn off your AC, its about to overflow' the proceeded to show us videos of water damage to ceilings on his iPad, creating what i define after the fact as a false sense of urgency. I went up to the attic to check it out and the line did not appear to be clogged. The John Moore guy admitted that he had never seen something like we had before (our house is older and he called it a DIY fix) but according to him it was on the verge of overflowing. I looked at it and it didn't appear to be overflowing, the drain line was dripping into a "U"(that had some water in it) which drained into a straight pipe that had no standing water in it. When I questioned him about my observations, the John Moore guy pointed out moist insulation around the "U" pipe, where cold water in the "U" pipe was creating condensation. I also mentioned that we have lived in this house for many years with no issues which the John Moore guy just shrugged his shoulders.
We assumed that he knew what he was doing so we asked him to quote it. He quoted around $800 to unclog it and add some kind of 'T" fitting or $2700 to completely reroute the drain to 'properly' drain into a pebble pit. We opted for the unclogging and the John Moore Guy got to work. 10 minutes later, the John Moore guy was packing up his tools and saying it was unclogged. Floored, we asked him why 10 mins of work cost us $800. The John Moore guy said that 'these are not my prices, I'm just really good at what I do.' We went back and forth for a little bit and talked to the 'supervisor' and they said the best they can do is drop it to about $600. They where also using some kind of $50 visa gift card (as some kind of incentive for using John Moore's service) that he quickly packed up. The John Moore guy also mentioned to us that 'he gets this all the time, John Moore prices are expensive'
After the fact, we had someone else look at what was done to the drain. This professional mentioned that nothing really needed to be done other than a little bleach poured into the line.
We had John Moore scheduled to come look at some electrical work we wanted done. Needless to say, we quickly canceled that appointment with John Moore. If they are going to be dishonest about a little bleach vs $800 for 10 mins of 'work', the mind struggles to imagine what kind of false sense of urgency would have been created for an imagined problem that was fabricated when they came out to look at some electrical work.

Knew exactly what he was looking for to fix the problem we had all last summer! Was done in a few hours- and for less than what I paid the repair man last year who just kept trying things!

UPDATE: to the Owner, NO, no one from your company ever "reached out" to me. If they had, I would have spoken to them about the issue.

Satisfied with the field service technicians at John Moore the quality of the scope of work John Moore actually performs meets expectations. However, I have become extremely frustrated with their scheduling department, customer service, and second tier subcontractors. There is no communication between departments, they never complete a job on the first go around. Their second tier subcontractors leave something to be desired. Punctuality is important in residential construction, because it requires the home owners to make special concessions to allow the work. If you do not schedule accurately, or efficiently it costs the client additional money, which is what John Moore has done. We paid more at John Moore and got less.

The technician that came out (William) was very respectful, not pushy and knew what he was talking about. We were given an e-mail before he showed up and he even called and gave me a heads up when he was an hour away. He gave us several options to think about/look into. He gave us several recommendations and some things to look out for and to be aware of. Had a service window of between 8 - 12 this morning. The service tech, Charles Burnell, called to confirm before 8:00 and arrived shortly thereafter. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to wait around all morning. He quickly diagnosed the problem and determined the solution. He was very helpful in explaining everything and went above and beyond what was expected. Unfortunately, the parts were not in stock and needed to be ordered before the actual repair can be done, but Charles remained on site until this was completed and a follow up installation was scheduled.
Gerardo Garcia is extremely knowledgeable and professional! He came in and explained everything in such a manner that even I could understand! (I know very little about electrical wiring). I would highly recommend him to anyone I know!

They came to check why a couple of rooms were not cooling like the rest of the house. The man was completely unprepared. He didn't even have a ladder to get into the attic. He just stood in the room and suggested we get two units instead of one. That was his only recommendation. A complete waste of money.

Last year John Moore removed raccoons from our attic and they are now on contract for pest and varmint control with quarterly service. They re great! The technicians are knowledgeable, courteous, respectful of property, and thorough. The office staff is also extremely courteous and helpful.
Papal was a very nice and sincere and likeable young man. To him I'd give 5 stars. I liked him and felt confident in his knowledge and assessment. However after getting a few more quote for the exact same service with the exact same brand I will not be doing business with John Moore. There were a full 5000 dollars over other quotes for the exact same service and brands and they offered a 1 year less service warranty. So thumbs up for the tech but thumbs down for the company. Sometimes good people just find themselves working for greedy companies.

Asked John Moore to check for gas leak. Smell when using oven was strange. He came out and informed smell was not gas. I feel better about it now.

John Moore will forever be the place I call when I have problems. Gerardo Garcia was our tech and he was very professional. The best part is that our error was something that was easily fixed on our end and he was upfront about it and didn't try to nickel and dime us. This is a company I can truly trust for great service!
We could not be happier with our service requests from John Moore. We had a sink not draining properly and John Moore had us a service representative / repair person out within an hour and a half. The service repair person was very efficient, personable, and knowledgeable. He identified the problems, quoted it, and had it repaired which included cutting open and repairing the pipe all within two hours. After completing the work he took the time to explain to us the preventative maintenance steps to take to ward off any future problems with this issue.
As a business owner myself I can not explain the value of having an employee / tech like this. We will be soliciting John Moore Services in the future for any home issues we may have.

We requested a repair estimate for our HCAC system from John Moore. We were advised that our system had a refrigerant leak and that the repair would cost a minimum of $10,000.00. We were also given a quote to recharge the HVAC system. The John Moore cost quote to recharge would be a minimum of $369.00 for the first 2 pounds of refrigerant (R-410a) and $69.00 for each additional pound of refrigerant. The technician advised me that our AC system would take approximately 3-4 pounds to fill. Lets assume our system will only require 3 pounds of R-410a. That would cost $438.00. That is $146.00 per pound of R140a before tax. I did some research. The cost of R-410A from many supplier sources is no more than $6.00 / pound of R-140a. For John Moore to replace the HVAC system, our quote ranged from $9,000.00 (repair) up to over $19,000.00 (replace). We opted to go with a much more reasonably priced HVAC company to "recharge" our AC system. ***Please note that the last time we needed to recharge our AC system was 3 years ago. We have a very slow system leak.
If your are considering John Moore for your HVAC needs, please research before trusting John Moore to give you a competitive quote. No wonder the John Moore commercials advertise free estimates.

The technician that came to our house was very professional and knowledgeable. He went the extra mile in explaining all our options to solve our clogged drain. Once we realized the problem was with a faulty sewer line installation he stayed late to meet with our builder and show him the issue and the best course to resolve it. I will be using John Moore again for any future plumbing issues.

Given a furnace repair quote from John Moore of $1500 and was recommended to replace furnace for $5400. Got a second opinion and found out there was just a dirty pressure switch hose. Cost $40 to repair by a different Houston company.
My grandfather paid $25,000 for a new ac unit and the warranty just went out in March. The ac stopped working we called them back out to fix it, paid another $1000 for them to say they cleaned coils and changes the capacitor. My husband and I went the very next day and the room temperature 80 degrees and my elderly dementia grandmother with high blood pressure was pouring sweat. We called them back out and they said they couldn t do anything because it was RAINING. We had to rent a motel for my family to stay in. The next day they come out and say it was a PLUMPING problem. My husband took a day off, climbed in the attic and the coils have never been touched. Never again! Considering calling a lawyer.
Today on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, the technician Jedd Johnson came to my home to install 5 smoke alarms. Jedd is a pro at his work and did a wonderful job! He was very professional, prompt, courteous, and friendly during his visit. Moreover, he was on time for his visit to my home and he also answered all my questions very professionally during the installation. Overall, I was very pleased with my service and I highly recommend John Moore Services.

My experience with John Moore was not necessarily one that I had ordered, paid for or even asked for, but it was a great one at that. Last Wednesday I unfortunately blew a tire, and being a 21 year old female, I was not knowledgeable on how to change my tire nor do I think I would have had the strength do so. While on the phone with my mother determining what to do next, there is a gentleman in a John Moore company van, window rolled down and attempting to get my attention and let me know he is able to pull over and help me. Being the cautious person I am, I had initially waved him away, and was going to contact Roadside Assistance. Recognizing I was in a little distress, this nice gentleman, by the name of Jason Hendrix, pulled over in front of me and went ahead and helped with changing my tire. I can not tell you how appreciative I am, still a week later with a new tire, that this very nice man stopped to help me when I was in the middle of rush hour traffic just trying to get home. This man was God sent and I will forever be grateful to Mr. Hendrix for restoring my faith in humanity, as a few months ago I was in the same situation and not one person stopped to help me that morning. Again, John Moore should be commending this honest and hardworking man. I would recommend John Moore and Mr. Jason Hendrix for any services for your home. Thank you so much for employing this man.

I contacted John Moore last week after another company had said it would be a few days before they could come to give me an estimate. At John Moore the phone was answered immediately by a person, they sent a technician out that same afternoon, he gave me a reasonable estimate, and he fixed the problem the same day. I was very impressed with the quality of their service.
