John Moore Services did a great job of handling my air conditioning problem. They were able to schedule an appointment for the next day. And the technician, Diego, was on time and very professional. As he diagnosed the problem, he explained what he was looking for and what he found. He gave me 4 options to consider. When I chose the option I wanted, he immediately began working on the fix. He finished in a couple hours, and my air conditioner was running like new. Diego also provided some ideas to help me avoid the problem in the future. Cost was very reasonable.

horrible customer service. not reliable service. scheduled from 4-8 pm... never showed and cancelled before 4 hour window closed. dispatch called 1 time, when i called back within 30 seconds John Moore had already cancelled order.
Terrible service, they technician did not turn up after waiting for 4 hours on them. The agent provided a bunch of excuses. Ruined my Thanksgiving day, stay away from John Moore. I recommend using other local Katy small electrical service providers who have better business ethics.
Joshua Gorelick technician for John Moore came to unclog my kitchen drain. He was very knowledgeable in using the correct equipment to do the job. He was very personable, respectful and patience in answering all my questions.
HORRIBILE EXPERIENCE the service man that came to my home was RUDE when I asked questions he raised his voice at me I had an issue with my bathroom pluming the John Moore service man flushed my toilet and it overflowed leaving water all over my bathroom floor he left without cleaning it up I did not & will NEVER use John Moore services I would like to rate them NO STARS but the system wont let me post no stars so I had to pick a 1 star rating
John was professional with his approach; where my disappointment comes in is with the overall cost of the job. The damage was over estimated. He did get some of the amount reduced, but still the job was over priced.

The condenser motor failed and Diego Ferreyra replaced right away under the 10 years warranty. He is very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. I am very happy with John Moore, Diego and the service provided.
I am contemplating using this business, depending on how their cost compares with other vendors. The amount is a little steep for me at this time, but I realize that electric repairs can be challenging.
Diego came to assist with my AC that was not working properly. He was able to identify the problem in a few minutes and talked me through how to rectify the issue.
Response was very quick. Technicians coordinated well between plumbing and water remediation. Very thorough. They were very persistent about getting the job done correctly even when other issues arose. Appreciated this very much.
Leonard added a plug for the microwave over the oven and placed it inside a cabinet so it is tucked away. It gives us back a plug on the counter space. He provided a couple of options from which to choose on making this change, which I really appreciate. He did all of this in less than two hours, was on time, friendly and professional.
Worst experience ever! We call John Moore and had a service technician come out to our home because our ac wouldnt cool. The unit would turn on but the blades wouldnt spin but after doing some online research we were able to nudge the blades to get them going for a temporary fix. But when he came, he explained in detail that we would need to replace our whole system. He went on to try to get us to finance a $25,000 unit, advising us that trying to repair ($2000) it would be a waste of time. Long story short we did not qualify for financing (only qualified for 6000) and that's the only reason we didn't end up paying $25,000 that day. I asked him can we continue to nudge the blades till we find a permanent solution. He said no because now the system is totally dead! My husband went to go check out the unit the next morning and realized the technician unplugged the breaker from the side of the house , to make the system stopped working! We researched on the internet other options and realized we can replace the Single part ourself. It was the capacitor. We got the part for $24 and our system is running fine. I feel totally conned and I will never contact John Moore or will I ever suggest John Moore to anyone! Mind you... we are first time homeowners and I feel like he took complete advantage of that! In addition, the number that called me to review my financial info for line of credit didnt say John Moore on the caller id, it said Belinda. I hope they werent trying to con me for our ss# and personal info!!! We called to complain Saturday and they told us we wont get a call back till Monday. When filling out this review i didnt even see the techs name who came out to my home....Henry....so now im really concerned.
Jesse has been wonderful. He has walked us through remodeling our bathroom and answered all our questions. He has always been on time, or early and I would highly recommend him and John Moore.
I've had a Hot Water Heater replaced. I called after 12 pm and Abel with John Moore came out and was gone by 5:45 pm. And I had a new and re-piping also hot water heater. Also, I had a leak from my kitchen faucet. Troy is currently repairing that problem. Abel got the ball rolling for my kitchen project. Abel called the plumber the same day and the plumber came out also. Troy came out the next day to get a update. Troy took over the plumbing, cabinets, counter-tops, painter etc. at this point. Troy and Able are professionals and both are/were a great help. So, far quality work. Oh and they clean up behind themselves. Let's not for get the office staff. They too were professional and courteous.
Mr. Willie Glass came out for a plumbimg issue. He explained every detail to make sure we understood everything that was going to be done. Exceptional cutomer service from Mr. Glass! Will highly recommend John Moore!
All three gentlemen were very professional and extremely knowledgeable in their field of expertise. What impressed me the most was that they at no time tried to sell me service I didn't want and they didn't pressure me to go with the more expensive bid. They were also more than willing to go into detail and answer all my questions.

Hot water heater was flooding the utility room at 4 a m this morning.by 8 a m project manager Rey Gutierrez from the 10005 Sam you Pkwy location in h town was at my door.I was impressed the punctuality and the professionalism he exhibited.also he offered a very competitive pricing for what needed to be done.not to mention that he really knew his stuff or else he wouldn't have been able to give the pricing he gave.I will call him again if I have an issue that he can help with without hesitation.thanks guys

Absolutely love working with Christopher English. He's always polite and he knows his job well. BUT man the price for an ac instillation is outrageous! On the price alone I have to say my experience was not a pleasant one this time. As usual Mr. English did try and get several different ways to get the price down and gave many different options for someone just starting over in life. He is of great help to his customers and a Benefit to his Company because he goes the extra mile trying to be helpful and understanding above all courteous where others just process.

I was told as I was making an appointment the they started charging the call out fee after Harvey. Personally, I think that's awful to start charging people after a tragedy like that. But ok, if people want to pay it, fine. I would rather not, but before I could even finish starting that, the scheduling rep hung up on me. If that's any indication of the type of customer service they provide, I'm glad I opted against.
Larry Watson is an extremely intelligent young man who is able to explain what the problem is, what is causing the problem, how to fix the problem and best of all why it is so important to fix it in a certain way. I was very impressed by his overall knowledge of HVAC but I was more impressed by his ability to explain everything in detail. Communication is key. Thanks again Larry.
Rusty is an example of what any top notch company wants representing them. He was kind and patient and listened to what we wanted. He opened our eyes to the real cost of getting certain types of work done. He explained how the estimated cost was determined and helped us understand how much home repairs really cost. At this time we are not able to get the work done due to financial concerns. Rusty did tell us about the finance option but we try very hard not to use credit. We have decided that we will not have the work done at this time, but will definitely call back when we are more financially prepared.

The service man arrived and we told him about the situation. He checked out a few things then went on to use the router down the washing machine drainpipe. Some hair was blocking the drain. He said the pipe could be cracked but we had to decline the camera down the drain because of finances. I thought that he was nice in letting us know instead of just doing the job and not saying anything. Thank you for your qualified servicemen and the respect they have for their customers.
My 11 year old house had several leaks this past year and a half. The original piping was defective and being that I didn't want to deal with anymore damage, I called John Moore for a re-piping. I chose John Moore because of their length in the business and trustworthy recommendations. Troy came by our house to give us a breakdown of what was going on with the pipes in our house and what options we had to re-pipe. I didn't want to pay a hefty price upfront, so Melinda from financing helped with that end. It helps to have knowledgeable and kind people working towards getting our house re-piped. They have a 25 year warranty on their installs/products and some specials. I have the date setup to complete the install, and will update the review then.
There is a reason they are also called John Pay More. While the work they do isn't bad, expect to pay more than anyone else. My neighbor just paid them $10k just to replace a 30 ft drain pipe from their house to the sewage line. My plumbing company said they would charge about $2500. Unfortunately, he didn't ask me before he called them. After speaking with someone that used to work for them, they had a minimum charge to walk away from the house with or they could get canned. Don't use unless you have extra money to throw away.
The team from John Moore replaced our compressor, coils and furnace and were very professional and efficient despite working on one of our hottest days and in the heat of day to get our system installed. Honestly, they deserve more than 5 stars for an excellent job. Thank you!
My master bedroom furnace went out. It was the gas valve. John Moore wanted to charge me $2200 to replace it. Or $10,000 to replace the whole unit. I found a car online for $67. It took me a half hour to replace with just a YouTube video. I will never use John Moore again.
Was scheduled for a 4pm-8pm time slot, tech called when he arrived. I wasn t home but was a few minutes away, informed him and was told there was no rush. Upon arrival explained the issues and he went above and beyond to check everything over and explain the issues he found. He gave me 2 quotes for the repairs needed that were very reasonable considering the extent of the work. Will be using them for the repairs in the near future. Would HIGHLY recommend to friends and family

Thank you John Moore for asking me to review because I wasn't going to! Daye from customer service was great, Sky, the technician arrived quickly and was friendly. The prices are absolutely, unequivocally outrageous. $250/lb of freon, $399.99 for a capacitor, $7000 for a compressor, $11,000-$15,000 for a 3.5 ton unit. Save yourself some time and money and call someone else. I used a local company and got my freon recharged, it needed less than what John Moore told me I needed it was 1/2 the price.
I set up a consult online and received a call immediately from the very friendly lady at John Moore who was also very knowledgeable about my problem. The service technician arrived the next morning, earlier than expected which was a great help. Vincent was very professional and diagnosed the problem quickly. He explained the procedure to remedy the issue and showed me how the problem stopped when he was finished. From start to finish, I was very pleased with my experience with John Moore. I will definitely recommend them to others.

I paid for a yearly service for my electrical plumbing and AC. Yearly inspections and service calls were supposed to be free at least that is what the person who sold me the plan said. I've tried to do the yearly inspection and every time a service person comes out here they act like they don't know what I'm talking about and try to charge me a fee. The plumber they sent here this morning acted like he had no idea what a yearly inspection was and said that I had to pay.
The notes the AC repairman from John Moore left in the system for him to check the pipe from the AC he acted like he didn't know what it was that that was the AC repairman's job. That is the second plumber that has come here from John Moore that didn't know anything about plumbing.
The first appointment I made with them no one showed up in the time window. The appointment last week was between the hours of 12 and 4. I canceled at 5:45 PM since no one had arrived yet. That appointment was for plumbing and electrical neither technician showed up in the window.
I have had some minor issues with a/c systems and had them come out to due service on the two units. After reviewing the systems and due to the age of the units, John Moore will be replacing both units along with one furnace. Noly was very helpful in explaining the condition of current units and the process for replacing them. Very professional and patient when addressing the replacement.
Terrible terrible customer service over the phone. I had an appointment window between 10-2 to get an estimate to hang two ceiling fans under my covered patio. The electrician didn t show till 4:15. He looked at the existing fans, looks at me without blinking and says, $225 per fan. I couldn t goodbye fast enough!!! Please do not waste your time with these fools.
My service teck was grate very helpful and explained everything he did and also fixed all connection that was not done correctly by other repair person.
Charged $369 to clear a pipe that took less than 45 minutes total time. We knew the issue before calling them and they took advantage by charging whatever they wanted. Will never use again. Find someone else who will treat you fairly.

My full system was installed professionally and they made sure i was satisfied with the work performed. They did whatever it took to get the job done and cleaned up after themselves.
He was very professional, He explained to us about the problems he found with the a/c unit inside and outside , wish were minor, and how to keep them to become big problem. He didn't only talked about them, but also took the time show us, and told us what these little problems can do to the a/c unit inside, and outside, He told us when, and how to do it our self, and when WE MUST CALL FOR PROFESSIONAL HELP.
John Moore came to our house because our heating unit went out so we called John Moore to come out and fix our unit. They charged us $3200 for work that should have cost about $750 based on what the parts cost and their labor. When I called their office and explained I was being grossly overcharged they basically said they did not care. They would not reduce their price. These guys charge way to much for their service. Beware
Although we were a little out of their zone, they came next day to give us an estimate and went above and beyond trying to help us get the best product for our budget!!
John Moore came out to check my shower for a possible leak and without any testing said my shower pan was leaking Call another company out and the first thing they did was a drain pan leak test The drain pan was not the problem I was given a $9,000, $12,000 and $15,000 quote to fix the problem from John Moore this company is not to be trusted.
The young man that serviced our home today was very nice and very professional!
He flushed our water heater and unclogged our A/C line. When he called to let up know he was on his way; his phone ID came up as John P. so I called him John the whole time he was here and he answered us, but your email stated that our Technician was going to be Juan Villanueva "Who knows".
Whichever the young man did a great job; he explained everything he was doing and treated us with the utmost respect we being an elderly couple.
We would definitely request him again.

We could not have had better service. Mr. Gallow was efficient, fast and very cordial. We will definitely ask for him on any future water service issues.
Vastly Overpriced. Misdiagnosed the problem in my AC unit (It was a dead compressor, not a broken motor! a difference of 500$ to fix) Every other service recommended was either twice the price of competitors or was completely useless, as in duct cleaning. Shame on you for trying to screw people over who just don't know any better! Shame.

We had John Moore try to check a sewer smell that comes intermittently and we knew it wouldnt be an easy task as others have tried and come up with all kinds of crazy and expensive solutions. John Moore conducted a very thorough check and even though they don't know the exact source of the smell, they still came up with logical options and steps to take to resolve. Additionally, they were very courteous, professional and dependable.
