The services provided originally were good. However, upon renewal, Entrust Energy would not provide me an EFL on plans they were offering to me. I tried the online chat and over the phone and they would not provide this information. The Energy Facts Label is required for Retail Energy Providers to sell energy in Texas by the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Please review EFL's before you enter into an energy contract.

Did not consent to change my service I only allowed the salesman to give me quotes. Never did they say they were going to switch me. Called to cancel and rep basically said that they have better Google reviews and I shouldn t look at their Better Business grade. They have a D+ by the way. He also told me not to call my previous electricity company to switch back that they would do it but how can I trust a company who switch me like this? He also said that I would get a bill for that one hour they switch my service, but i should disregard that. As if. Let s just hope my previous electricity doesn t charge me for the cancellation and putting my service back. Horrible. Don t open the door to them they will only lie.

This company signed us up without us completing the signup process. They required at signup, for us to make a prepayment of $300. We declined to complete the signing process because we didn't feel it fit in our idea of contract and opted for another. But somehow, they have a contract with us that we didn't complete signing with for the next 5 months. Calling customer service got us nowhere: the kept repeating that we completed signing contrary to what actually happened. Now they keep sending emails to rate them: does ENTRUST actually expect miracles when they have not earned nor worked for our TRUST? We could give them ZERO stars for LACK OF TRUST but that is not on the table, or is it?? And after 6 months, am happy to report that they didn't disappoint: NEVER PAID SO MUCH FOR ELECTRICITY IN ANY 6-MONTH PERIOD AS I HAVE WITH ENTRUST AS OF YESTERDAY! Glad am done with Entrust: Stay away from Entrust.

We sold our rental property that had entrust energy as electrical provider. The purchaser changed the electric service to her name before the sale fell through. That ended our contract prematurely and cost us $300 final bill. I called customer service and they are going to refund money and reconnect my service.

I enjoyed the company when I first joined in 2018. But now that it has raised its price Im not comfortable with the contract. My electric bill be way higher than expected. I may not renew in the future after contract is done. Even after being a loyal customer since then. They could make a change.

Wow! I'm a new client and a very satisfied one. When I received my first Entrust bill, I didn't know what to expect. I've tried several energy companies and heard the same promises, but none have kept their promise like Entrust has.
I remember when I first met the door to door Entrust Rep, he sounded so sincere and of course I was hesitant. He said "Put us to the test, use your electricity as usual don't change anything and I guaranty you won't get the same outregious amount as you been paying".
He was right! My energy bill was $55 dllrs less! As promised!

Luis L. resolved the problem I had with my usage reported the week of the hurricane (August 28 -September 1, 2017). He listened carefully as I explained the situation, asked if he could put me on hold while he checked into the circumstances involving the reported usage, and came back on the line with a logical explanation. Luis was very patient as it took several minutes for me to explain what was going on. If I ever have to call back, I hope I talk with Luis.

Place is horrible both as a work environment and as a company. First off I'll start by saying most customers are unaware of the switch, and the sales agents have really bad training. As a company I see it going bankrupt. As a work environment there's lots of personal preference and low recognition to good employees. The company itself is aware of the sales agent tricky tactics and no proper actions are ever taken.

ZERO STARS My mother switched to this company with a rep at her door in Abilene TX, called me and asked me if I wanted to switch myself I live in Houston TX. "Mom let me talk to the rep." The Rep sounded really sweet BUT had no full product knowledge and I could tell she didn't care for us, she was more excited to inform me she was in Abilene and also works in Houston. My opinion, she sounded rushed obviously closing the sale was priority because she repeated the same line, "your rate will never change it will be 7.4". when I asked what the rate was for my usage at 500 and 1000KWH she responded "oh CenterPoint does that, oh CenterPoint is the ones who make your rate. So you'd have to ask them" and kept repeating "7.4c per 2000KWH We are visiting here with your mom but we in Houston too" I said "no thank you NOT INTERESTED! I will NOT be switching." when I asked to speak to my mother she didn't want to lose the sale repeating same rate and assuring me it was fixed, but didn't have an EFL with her to break down other usages other than 2000kwh or a better response instead of CenterPoint Does That?? I told my mom she shouldn't switch. We hang up. 15 minutes later the rep (Latisha/Latrisha) calls me back and asks "how are we going to proceed with the switch?? your mom did it remember you can cancel when you want" that tells me, she wants her commission and doesn't care if I cancel after. I replied "OH NO IM NOT SWITCHING." she told me "3 days to cancel after you switch" lol i said no thank you.

I don't like people like this. I don't want to do business with people like this.

Well I switched after two years of trouble free service for a cheaper rate. When I got the actual terms of service from the new company, there was significantly high service charges. That kinda offset the low kw rate. I called entrust the next day to come back. They said yes! So happy

I am uncertain how this company conducts business....

I am uncertain how this company conducts business. I have had 3 days trying to reach someone to resolve an issue based on lies. It is really bad business to have a representative show up to your place of employment making offers, makes untrue statements, lies and never hear from the representative again. The utility contract has 3 sections that are initialed, when the company violates one out 3, the contract is null and void. Numerous calls made to corporate office, to unprofessionally have someone hang up on me. I am so glad all calls are on a recorded line because there is proof of so much uncertainty and the services haven't even begun. Cancellation is automatically granted when you the ENTRUST ENERGY Co. is in violation.

This is the worst possible electric company I have ever used my bill just keeps going up I could understand between winter and summer 100 bucks difference but 300 dollars this place is such a ripoff I would avoid at all costs. Can t get anyone to answer questions or even help resolve how it jumped so high.

The sales rep lied about the pricing per kw hr and said that all TDU charges where included in my 7.8 cent charge. Im now paying almost double what i was paying with my previous company and im stuck in a contract. they dont work well with other agencies that offer to help pay the bill. the amount that i owe has changed more then once when calling in. have no idea what i even owe anymore. i didn't receive the $50 bill credit i was supposed to receive. the only thing i can say is that customer service has been polite.

Entrust lacks integrity and has dishonest sales reps. They have been ripping me and my company off with a variable rate when I specifically asked for a fixed rate. Now I am stuck with a $4,279.40 electric bill and have to pay $4000 to get out of the contract. I am very disappointed. Don't trust Entrust!

At one point in time, I thought that this company was really good but then the time for me to separate from military active duty came. They said that since I was active duty military that the early termination fee would be waived for my account because I was moving back to live with family while my wife and I figured out where to live. Keep in mind that this was only like three months before the contract was ending. We sent them a confirmation number from the USPS that we were indeed moving. Unfortunately, even after we had been assured that everything was good, I received a bill collectors letter in the mail more than a year later. I have spent so much time on the phone trying to get this figured out it is insane. I have been waiting for almost two weeks to decide if my military orders are good enough for them to waive the fee. Additionally, even though they still have all of my information on file, they never reached out to explain this situation. Save yourself time and heartache and just use a different company especially if you are in the military service and may have to move.

Their mentioned prices are too good to be true... and their hidden fees are extremely stupid. If your bill is due on the 29th and you try to pay on the 27th, they say you can't... your bill will be charged on the 30th and that produces a late fee. Also, the TDU charges are incredibly high and according to them Centerpoint controls that charge but why is that with my previous company my TDU charge was so low for so much more electricity consumption? Now I believe this company is a scam. They gave a very low rate but charge me just as much for TDU. Good thing I didn't let my mom and my in-laws switch. Should've just stayed with Ambit... at least everything was staright up with them.

They are crooks I paid my bill in full which was $393.00 ridiculous two weeks later I receive another bill for $432.00 mind u I was on vacation so my house was empty for 3 weeks now I received a bill for $700.00 I refuse to keep allowing these people to scam it's ridiculous I will never recommend them to anyone then they make sure u can't switch to anyone else and I have a disabled son who requires a breathing machine at night they are truly scam artist and I will be going over their heads I won't let this fly

When I called about my outrageous bill!!! The gentlemen didnt listen to anything I was saying, just kept telling me there was nothing he could you. Worst 2 months having to constantly call these people so they could just tell me there was nothing they could help me with, and to look thru my bill

I would highly recommend NOT going with Entrust Energy to your electricity needs. Firstly, the rates they indicated at the time of sale were not correct. After my first bill with this company I regretted my decision as TXU was much lower. So, less than a year after signing up I purchased my first home. Not knowing I was under any contract I cancelled my service because I could not transfer due to only one company provider at my new home. I received my final bill with a early termination fee of $200. They say this can be removed by providing a electricity bill at your new address but they still have not done this even when I sent it to them. Very untrustworthy company, Beware!!

Worst company ever. They lie every month and say something different. I was told by someone who knocked on my door that it would be cheaper no down payment no extra fees. But my bill has been twice the amount it was before and was a down payment. The bill is always do before I get paid was told if bill is below 400 I can extend it till get paid but if not have to put down payment for the last three months. First month my bill was finally below 400 I call to see if I can pay it on Friday instead of Monday they told me know I have to pay a down payment. Worse customer service and bunch of liars now I see all these rating it s sad I m not the only one who is dealing with it

I usually get people that I feel are robots...cold and you can tell they don't give two cents about YOU as a person. But today this man renewed my faith in your company. An Entrust employee came to my home and lied and tried to scam me into changing electric companies. I was so angry. I am not a gullible person, but this guy almost had me convinced with his story about a discount that should have been given, blah blah blah. Until he had to make a call, supposedly to see if I qualified for the discount. Then told me that a man from his company had to verify my information. If you get this far with the process, listen closely to what that man that calls you says.
He said that they aren't responsible for any contract- breaking fees associated with you switching your electric company.
So I say, what?! I'm not switching electric companies!
The guy on the phone asks me if the man on my porch did not explain that that was what this was about? And I said no. The guy on my porch reaches up and hits the end button on MY phone then. Now that knows that he's been caught.
So I told the man on the porch to get off my property, that he is a liar and a scammer.

I switched to Entrust Energy from 4change a year ago. A representative from Entrust showed up at my door, which usually irritates me but I felt inclined to listen to him. I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! This company has brought my energy bill down $100+ every month when compared to the previous year. They're customer service is remarkable and I've never had a single issue with them at all. Keep up the great work Entrust Energy! You guys are great!

A young girl and guy came to my door about 4 in the evening asking if my Electric meter had been changed to the new smart meter and was asking me if it had been activated yet, I said i didn't know. Then they said that Oncor didn't activate a smart meter automatically and that you had to ask them to activate the smart meter once installed or you would be charged a $200.00 dollar fee for activation, for some obscure reason! Then they begin trying to deceive me by explaining that they could help me avoid this activation fee if i sign up for their service and they would call on my behalf to help me avoid the $200.00 dollar activation fee, Never explaining that they were really trying to get me to drop my current electric provider and go to Entrust. I called Oncor and asked about the activation of the meter and the fee. They said it was false information to fool me into changing my electric provider and a lie by these door to door crooks! Please Just shut the door in their dishonest face and don't waste your time! 4-17-2018

I've been working here for 2 years and love the environment. We all are able to grow with this company. I have started as a commercial agent and now I have been taught all parts of the call center from Customer Care to Verification. I also love that we are able to know the execs and they know us by name and not just someone that works for them.

I have been with this company for a several years....

I have been with this company for a several years. I received a letter in the mail out of nowhere stating they were switching my company. I have not yet received a bill from the new company, but after reading other reviews from people who experienced the same thing I am terrified. On top of that my final bill from entrust came out to 800$. Nobody can seem to explain anything. Their customer service department talked in circles and gave no true explanation. Sadly I even talked to a supervisor supposedly, and that person was even less helpful. I have basically been told I have 90 days from the close of the account to take care of the balance or they will send it to collections, which in short means at the least I will be paying double for my power for the next 3 months from 200$ to 400$ and that is only if my bill doesn t sky rocket with the new company. Again after reading others reviews of this switch I could end up being out a lot more. For individuals who don t live on a budget, or have endless bank accounts you should definitely sign up for power with this company. If you are like most people and try to have a budget STAY AWAY. They will send you to the poor house one way or another.

I'd been with this company for 5 years. Today I found out that they switched me to a whole different company without even giving me a choice. Is very frustrating because they shared all my information and just like that got rid of me or at least that's how they made it seem. I would no recommend it ever again, I had sent them customer who are getting ready to switch.

Warning! Consumer beware. After months of no action, we have contacted the PUC and will file a complaint for slamming. We were very mislead during the sales process. With complete access to our current provider's records, we were promised significant monthly savings for a long term contract. Weeks later, we received a bill at an effective rate 150% over the previous rate. For three billing cycles now, we have been trying to resolve this with them stating they would charge me termination fees if we don't just accept the higher rates. We are deeply dissatisfied, enough to begin the process with the PUC. After reading the company's initial response below, we did respond with our account information and nobody followed up. Seems like another disingenuous offer. When I did speak with my account rep again, they just dug in their heals and said to pay the 150% rates. The rep said she could not be held responsible for whatever the previous sales rep said. We have not been treated honestly. Do yourself a favor and don't get mixed up with this company.

Well let s see a door sales man came to my house one evening and said that they could increase my bills every month by $100.00. (I was already paying around 250.00). So I decided to switch. The switch was easy and after the first month my bill was 160.00 so I was pleased with that. Ok moving forward to the second month got my bill in and it was 490.00!!!! I payed it while calling my previous electric provider to come back. I didn t care about the cancellation fee I knew then that I was being scammed out of money. So... my final bill comes (get ready to laugh) 1,162.00!!! I d be damned if I ever pay that much for electricity when I ve been in another state with my family for half the month with nothing on in my house. Don t let these salesman fool you. Run and I mean run fast!!!!!
