Dont work here!! I only rated 1 star because I had too. But Napa wanted to start me off at 48cmp and only want to give 2200 miles. Drivers do the math, you will gross a little over a thousand. At other companies, you will make more and bring a thousand home after taxes. Very cheap company. This is why they run ads on Craigslist week after week because they need to pay more. But when you change your your mind and find a better company, the recruiter melissa, will say that you can't apply there anymore. Who cares, she need to worry about recruiting and not telling drivers what they are not eligible for. Now that is funny!
As far as respect, I'm treated better than any other company has treated me.
Fantastic people and an awesome place to work, your family when you work here
If u wanna save ur time dont ever take a load from this broker. They are liars. It's just wasting time and money. I'm gonna make an report to the truck site. Hopefully others will do the same
Great company, on dedicated run ,family friendly ,home every weekend ,love it,very safe
They have a shower area, ask to use. If they'll allow
I was working when i went here. Serving them food. Staff was great
Your are a name not a number here. Love working here.
Been here for 6 years this August. No complaints. Do your job right and run the truck you won't have a problem. SEMPER FI
Great people, do your job, they are truly driver focused, brian
They do not care about there drivers and they hire crazy drivers that have no respect for others
This broker group provided a load out of Shippensburg Pennsylvania. They provided an appointment time of 2 pm. I arrived for check in. The shipper advised the appointment was midnight (10 hours after the shippers appointment). The shipper finished loading at 5 am. I was then detained for 15 hours. This broker refused to pay any detention pay for holding me for 15 hours.
Ive been with napa for two months and i can say i do love it here you always get respect no matter what and anytime something goes wrong they are on the ball to get it fixed right away i plan on being here for a while thanks napa for letting be part of the family
NEVER EVER TAKE A LOAD FROM THIS COMPANY THEY CANCEL US THE LOAD FRIDAY AT 4.45PM!!!
Female driver in truck 442, was very disrespectful, driving very recklessly, almost running me off the road and hitting another vehicle, contacted the company and they were disrespectful as well, can't believe they have this kind of driving and and behavior towards the public
My mother and I worked there years ago when they opened the doors the company has really come along
i work here, i believe in the mission statement, and our drivers are the best
Worst place to work for been there 7.5 years and toss you on the street they are not driver friendly like they claim its all about the load and office personal STAY AWAY!
If your're one who likes to play with a phone while driving don't waste you're time you get caught holding the phone through camera twice it's over .10/29/20
Decent company to work with, they have Midwest-NE and NE regional runs all the time.
I'd give this company 0 stars if possible. One of their truck parks along RT 40 in North East MD by Charleston Crossing Apartments.. The driver does not use and marker lights, triangles or flares. Many have almost run into the back of this truck. I contacted the owners of the company but they will not respond. I have found out who insures them and I'm sending pictures to their Brokers. One night, someone is going to get killed because whomever drives cant drive 1/4 mile up the road and park. The police have been out several times.
Since I posted this review the problem has been corrected. I will now give this company 4 stars
I am a driver for Napa transportation. I have been with the company for four months, so far I really love what I do. It can be frustrating being an LP at times, you have to learn some lessons on your own bit the other drivers and people in the office are friendly and will help if they can.
Booked a load with Shane from this company for 1.70 out of VA to MN. "Chrissy" called me back at 3pm to cancel the load on a FRIDAY. Offered a load for 1.65 to MO. Called back 5 minutes later and cancelled again offering a load for 1.50 to Indiana. They put me on 2 loads and cancelled leaving me to look for loads at 3pm on the East coast on a Friday. Chrissy showed no apology for cancelling the load and told me I could take the load for $1.50 to Indiana or have a nice day. Shane couldn't even get on the phone to tell me him self but had to have his coworker call me and cancel the load in a very rude manner. I WILL NOT work with this company again and I advise any trucking company to avoid booking loads with them as they have no integrity for this industry.
Rusty- is great sales man .
Did well the 1st time
Will continue to come here and deal with Rusty.
Have been working with this company for years, and they are the most reliable, well trusted partners we have.
I have worked for this Co for 8 years and very happy to be part of this team. Have drove for 21 years and this is home for me.
I have been here as a company driver more than two yrs. now running with my wife. Always treated me with respect good down to earth co. To work for. Been a class A driver for twenty five yrs. By far the best I've worked for.....
good pay and benefits. .nice people ..no miles. .old dirty equipment. ...reefer and dry van. ...they make you crawl like a dog for the fitness test before getting hired. lift many heavy weights. they have a team of people In California watching you with their dash cam....cam faces out and inside your cab. ..they score you all day on how you drive...get a copy of the score sheet faxed to you before you decide to work there
The best truckjng company ive worked for in my 13 year career. They always treated me like family.
Driver attempted to run our car off the road. Friday, July 3, 2015 at approximately 1:00pm. Traveling between Bald Eagle, Pa. and Philipsburg, Pa. Truck was going 25 mph up a very steep hill. We attempted to pass said truck. The driver immediately turned his truck to the left to cut us off. As we continued to pass, we also needed to move further to the left to avoid the truck. Finally, was able to pass the truck by staying in the ditch. Thank god car was AWD with plenty of power. That was the only way we were able to get around. Not sure what the driver had in mind other than completely nuts. This is the beginning of on on-line vendetta against this driver and the company that employs him. Should be easy to find the driver based on the date, time and place.
I can t think of one negative thing to state about NAPA. Started my first week pretty rough but it wasn t their fault. Truck broke down on my first run. They did everything in their power to get me back on the road. My driver manager was by my side throughout the whole process. Had to get a hotel room, and a car rental back to the terminal. I did not feel abandoned or left out at all. They will stick by you next you no matter what. My first week could ve been a lot worse but they did everything in their power to try and accommodate me.
Hauled a load to McKesson in northnorough MA, lumper fee was $165.00, I told the agent when I delivered and he assured me he would get it added to the haul....surprise surprise, they didn t add it and I got shafted....cost me money to haul a load for them!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN
This is a great company to work for, my husband has been there 4 yrs.
My brother works here and from what he tells me, they take good care of their employees. Good business.
The positive is simple - Most people are very polite, respectful, and positive
The Negative is simple:
1. Over promises/Under delivers
2. No sign on bonus
3. Lanes Do Not Pay to Cover Lease/Expenses/Personal Obligations
4. The shop is useless
5. Orientation is laughable (Instructor is a nice guy)
6. Driver Mgr harasses drivers, refuses to listen, will plan routes that do not pay (I took home $1300 in 5 weeks), rude, then wonder why drivers dont stick around (I had to go to upper mgt to get that clown to leave me alone)
7. They say "strictly North East", but have routes South East and Midwest, of which, I was not permitted to drive - for some strange reason.
8. Its a nightmare to get away from NAPA
9. There's always an excuse as to why a Lease Op cannot make money... Its a waste if time talking to them
10. The info is wrong 90% of the time (ie wrong addresses, wrong shipper/receiver names, wrong pick up/delivery dates and times, etc)
Just way too much to care...
Is a ok yard for truck drivers has showers and clean bathrooms and a nice drivers louge.
Pay definitely could be better, but other then that they are good
Horrible place to work management is ignorant to all drivers
Old bald guy that works in dispatch is a jerk for no reason and their whole process for dropping trailers and signing them out is beyond retarded.
Clean, lots of room. A business building. Large parking lot. Good trucking company. They don't pay much. No steady miles, 1800 - 2200 week. Friendly people. Good customer base for a Trucking company. About $ 350 -$ 700 a week. Pricy health benefits. Home time unsteady.
Driver got within inches of hitting me and was very reckless, either he was on the phone, didn't care, or drunk, I did get his trailer #617075 guy flipped me off after he passed and I was in the right lane going 65mph then he slowed down road rage at its best is all I can figure just very unprofessional all the way around
Great company if you don't mind getting ripped off.
Great place to work friendly people company makes employees feel like family
Hello driver, I've been working for Napa for 6 years now, is a very strong and Stable Company. Nice clean terminal. New driver facilities. E/Z dispatch, lots of freight.
I thought they sounded good, alot of promises, but after i started, had few issues.cant get ahold of them on phones.trk. issues and suppose to be on dedicated run.dispatch sends u oppisite way on friday, not home...i love to talk to the owner one on one, like they said open door...
Company has large turn over cameras inside truck and low mileage per week
