After fitting many different types of bi folding doors that are on the market, i found that the continental folding doors from Duration do what they say on the tin. They are good looking, durable, run nicely and fold back tightly.
All sundries such as keys, gaskets and packers and instructions are neatly boxed.
I fit these items for a living and i fitted these doors at my own home so that speaks for itself.
Regarding service, my usual point of contact is Anna. In the bi fold dept.
She is always pleasant and helpful.

Unhelpful on phone. Quite rude I fact. One of my window panes completely shattered after 3 years, duration, not interested at all.

I highly recommend Duration Windows. So far my experience with the sales team has been brilliant. Anna has guided me through the process with a level of professionalism I did not expect. She is an asset to your team and clearly a hard worker. I look forward to receiving my bifold doors soon.

I have to agree with the other reviewers! Duration were friendly, helpful AND all at a very reasonable cost. They just get it right, beginning to end - and by the way, our finished window is perfect! Thank You Duration.

Anna was most helpful, I spent an hour going through a number of combinations of windows and doors. She laid out everything very clearly and couldn't recommend her enough!

We have just had the aluk windows & the emperor concealed hinged bifold fitted into our new build. We are just waiting for the front door to arrive next week. So far so good! The products themselves look incredible, fitted they do really have that Wow factor! We chose the Vulcan black textured powder coat. The pas24 security certificate was what sold us on the bifold & the fact it has a low flush threshold that is fully weather tight & no ugly hinges!
Very good design and looks fantastic! We dealt with Amanda in the showroom. (The showroom is truly a great idea if your serious about buying there s so much too look at) She was very knowledgable & couldn t have been more helpful & none of that pushy hard sell She kept us in the know from quote- to order to delivery. We are happy we chose Duration to supply.

We will now be getting the whole front of the house done with Duration s windows. We have also passed your details on to our family & friends.

I'm sad to say that I have had a terrible experience with duration windows.

I ordered a large set of sliding doors for what felt like a fair price. Duration then failed to deliver on numerous occasions which has seriously held up our building project leaving a 4m wide gaping hole in the back of my family house for a month longer than expected. Not only is this inconvenient for us but also brings security and safety issues for me and my young family.

Duration needs to get a grip on the manufacturing process so that customers can be better informed on lead times and not messed about with bad information and unkept promises.

The doors have finally arrived.... SCRATCHED!

Window leaked from the start, instructions say the fall should be 2.5 degrees we set it to 3 degrees. When I spoke to them I was told that a large flat roof window should have a greater fall, no mention in the instructions, so I spent an More

Terrible experience with duration window. Substandard quality and no customer service. Left high and dry by them. Requested they replace parts that were either missing or substandard and heard nothing for 6 weeks. Then when they did send us a replacement it was the wrong size. Steer clear even if they look cheap.

Brilliant service from Anna and the team. Really happy with our bifold choice and installation.

You would have to be insane to deal with this bunch. 12 weeks gone and still no doors, a different story every day, very few of which ever ring true. Actually finding a responsible adult to talk to is almost impossible too. So we have no firm delivery date, every date promised so far has been missed and it changes on an almost daily basis. They blame their supply chain but then seem to have no clout within that chain to get anything done. Who knows maybe they owe them money too. Builders are on standby, client can't actually move in, Duration are a total shambles and a classic case of a business where the left hand doesn't have a clue what the right hand is doing, or even if it still has a right hand.. Avoid at all costs. I will happily come and change this review if they ever get round to performing but holding my breath would be a very bad idea indeed. It surely can't be long before this lot appear on "Watchdog" or "The Sheriffs Are Coming"

Well recommended hard to believe non positive feed back. Used this company with previous company I worked for with no problems. Recently took delivery of dual colour bifolds & dual cookout Windows, very happy with products..

After visiting the showroom yesterday I was overwhelmed with the amount of knowledge the advisor (Ken) had. He clearly demonstrated all aspects of the bi fold doors and discussed which would work best for oursleves. Ken helped put our minds at rest with various dilemma's we had by giving us real life analogy's. This has definately brought us up to speed so that we can make a quicker decision. Thanks ken.

NEVER use this company - the incompetence is unparalleled. I placed our order on 27th March and was told to expect delivery by 28th April (5 weeks). 28th April came and went. I have chased the order every week and each time told delivery "should be next week". We are now more than 11 weeks on and the company still have no idea when they are able to supply the windows. They blame their suppliers AlUK and have given a plethora of excuses (cannot get in contact with them, run out of paint, site move) and they have offered nothing to resolve the problem. DO NOT use this company if you need the doors/windows supplied. They have no control of their supply chain (something which is completely unacceptable for any business) which has cost us a fortune. We now have to cancel our order with them and use an alternative company, and accept the new company's lead time.

I had the pleasure to deal with an Anna Williams, she couldn't have been more helpful, her product knowledge was second to none and made purchasing Bi-folds doors easy and pleasurable.
The goods always arrive well protected by helpful staff!!

We strongly believe this company derserves some positive feed back from the service we have received so far. We have been looking at various companies with the intention of purchasing bi-fold doors. As normal we have sourced a few quotes prior to visiting Duration Windows at the Grand Design showroom. Whilst there we were given time to look at the displays and then when required, Vicky, one of the showroom team answered all our questions with a very professional attitude. The quote we received was very acceptable and we have no doubt the good service will continue. We look forward to doing business with Duration Windows.

I had so many issues dealing with a dodgy company. Duration windows not only supllied me with an amazing high quality Bi- fold door they also help me sort out the problems after sales caused because of my builder not fitting it correctly.

Have had an all round bad experience with Duration Windows and would advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere. We moved into a property and shortly after moving, a manufacturing fault (as diagnosed by our builder) became apparent, whereby water has collected between the double glazed panes. Duration supplied the window and it is still within the 5 year Guarantee that Duration provide. However, after many weeks and even months of trying to contact them and phone calls backwards and forwards they are refusing to even come and look at the window let alone replace it. The staff in the after sales team were rude to me over the phone - Danielle and Amanda in particular. They now refuse to speak to me saying that they will only deal with the builder who oversaw the work at the address. He has also contacted them with no luck. They say they have a record of the work done at the address, but do not have an order number and therefore cannot help. Rude, unhelpful and more importantly not honoring a faulty product which is under guarantee.

The showroom staff Ken is very helpful in all respects. He has been very friendly and patient during my visit. Also they offers much more products now and reduced lead time on some typical products is really helpful!!

I wish I have done more research before I have bought Duration bifilding doors.
I am having a lot off troubles with it. It is very bad design. Extremely hard to adjust .

Poor service. I have a set of Beaufort Bi-folds that were supplied by a company that have subsequently gone skint and I need to purchase a replacement broken handle, which i can fit myself . I tried two other door companies and they both referred me onto Duration. Complete waste of time. E mailed them the enquiry and after 3 weeks of waiting and chasing they now tell me that their company policy is not to supply spares without a job number.
Obviously not interested in general spares sales - Which in most companies is where good profits are made.
Not impressed at all - how do they know that i'm not the biggest contract buyer of bi folds in the country. ( I'm not by the way!)
If i was M.D. of Duration i would be seriously looking at my aftersales policy and perhaps making myself more money.

Great company, very friendly and helpful staff.

We had problems when it came to fitting the roof windows, nothing to do with Duration just incompetent builders. When the problem was corrected, unfortunately one of the window seals where damaged.

So I got in contact with the after sales team they arranged for their onsite engineer (Lee) to come to see if he could repair the window on site. To our delight he did repair the window, within half an hour, and to top it all off we were not charged for this service. Which was amazing considering the fault was not theirs, and we live 56 miles away from them.

We can t thank them enough. And would highly recommended them.

Purchased our bi-fold doors from Duration. They have been excellent (I'm writing this 2+ years on from the original purchase). After-sales care has just been tested - as our cheeky little boy decided to strip the rubber gaskets/seals and tore some of them in the process. I contacted their team, Kara replied very quickly and kindly arranged for replacements to be sent free of charge! I'm extremely grateful and massively impressed with this. It speaks volumes for the company and Kara. I will certainly recommend to my many friends (in and out of the trade). Thank you.

14 Months from first phone call to completion. This product was the heritage doors. 2 double doors and 3 fixed sidelights with astragal bars.
1. Unknowledgeable staff quoting for a product that they couldn t manufacture. So had to redesign 4 months into the process.
2. Glass units replaced 4 times as incorrect size and faulty product. Including blown glass, silicone within the glazed unit, spacer bars in the wrong place and astragal bars lifting off the glass.
3. They never reply to emails.
4. Not admitting their fault in quality control and quick to blame their supplier.
6. Very poor customer service and communication.
7. Received under half of monies back for what we paid out on fitter to come in and fit faulty product.

We have used in the past but now never again. It might be cheap but you get what you pay for. Think carefully! I d hate for someone else to go through this process.

Terrible. Would have given 0 stars but not an option. Supplied bi fold doors which only open and close with force. No outside lock or handle fitted, although requested. Endless phone calls but no one ever calls back. Videos as requested sent to company but no reply. Don't buy. I am now using my solicitor to sort the problem out.
An update. After 2 months of arguing with the Aftersales team and arguments with my builders following the Aftersales team saying the doors had been fitted incorrectly Duration finally sent out there own installers who within 5 minutes found the doors were too wide for the frame!!!. After 2 months of stress Duration can only manage an email to say sorry for the delay. Had it of not been for the good quality of the doors I would have asked for them to have been removed.

We saw Duration at the Grand Design show at The Excel Centre in London and after some adjustments on the sizes we ended up buying felt that we got a good price. During all the communication we mentioned that the rooflights would be for a pitched roof.

We went to the showroom on Canvey island, just to see the products again before confirming our order and made some corrections. Some little things that we wouldn't have been aware off if we hadn't gone and spoke everything through with someone in person.

I found it confusing that the actual orders were placed with different departments (2 rooflight and 1 window) and it seems that the departments weren't talking to each other.

The delivery of the order was delayed, there was communication by SMS but couldn't get anything concrete out of anyone by phone or e-mail until I cc'ed someone higher up in. That seemed to work and got a firm delivery date.

When the builder came to install the windows the day after the delivery he asked me where the flashing for the rooflights were. I rang up Duration but had to send my query by e-mail to yet another person. Who came back sorry but we don't supply flashings. Having looked at the website on some products it stated flashing provided as an extra. Why then could I not get it for my rooflights? The response I got was very abrupt and just a 'we don't do it' end of story response. Not helpful in the slightest. I feel that, considering that I have pointed out that the rooflights are for a pitched roof, Duration should have said, by the way, are you aware that you will need to arrange flashing separately?

If you go with Duration be 100,000% sure that you know what you need and try and think of anything you might get as they will not be proactively making sure that you have all parts covered. Too many different people involved from quotation to delivery, not a single person looks after you from start to finish, communication ok-ish, after-sales team, non-existent.

Duration Windows are excellent in every respect. Pre-sales, to advice and after-sales communication has been exemplary. After searching the WHOLE of the UK, for a great deal and service, we settled on purchasing our Bi-Fold doors after chatting with and visiting Duration. Our doors have been in place for 8 years and are still in perfect order. So many of our friends have bought bi-fold doors from other places and almost all have had issues.
Delivery to us in Kent was prompt and the guys bought the doors to exactly where they were needed.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone... Great price, service and advice.

If I could give no starts I would. Our experience with this company was pure pain. Ordered window and a bifold door. Took forever to deliver even though they said they would deliver within 3-4 weeks when we agreed the sale. Product arrived at different dates even though we said we wanted them together. Reason is door they supply and DID NOT manufacture themselves even though they advertise they do.
What was the worst is that the window when installed did not shut; the door has a design issue where the key needs to be taken out to open.
Customer service appalling with aftersales the worst as after numerous chasing took them forever to send some simple instructions manuals and replacement keys.
Would not recommend.

Had some minor issues with the doors from Duration but working with Donna in their AfterSales unit and their team of fitters they came out and have done a fantastic job . Well done and thanks to the Duration team and special thanks to Donna who co ordinated everything thanks Brett Milton

Great pub, lovely menu, friendly, helpful staff and a lovely Landlord and Landlady!

Terrible product, incompetent service and a complete inability to meet their own deadlines. If it was possible to give no stars I would have done so. I would throughly stress to anybody considering using this company not to after the numerous issues we had with them supplying bespoke windows for our building extension.

The current issue that convinced me to write this review is the fact that the windows leak! The windows were only installed a year ago and we have already had to replace the window sills once. Our builder has had to return numerous times to try solve the problem, but after heavy rain this weekend the window sills have again swollen with water seeping in.

Other problems we had with this company:
Multiple delays with the delivery of the windows, with Duration Windows missing their own deadline 3 times. With each subsequent delivery date we were given being weeks away.
When the order was finally delivered four of the glass panels and the couplings were missing, meaning we had to wait another another week before the windows could be installed. And when finally delivered the missing parts were delivered piecemeal to the wrong address.
Despite our builder providing a template and final measurements to Duration Windows when they arrived 5 of the 6 aluminium sections were the wrong size!

All these delays turned our 12 weeks build into 26 weeks. A throughly frustrating experience dealing with this company that is still continuing a year later due to a poor product that is not fit for purpose.

I ordered windows and a bifold door supplied by Duration windows.
The order arrived exactly on time and the communication of delivery was precise.

There was a slight problem inside the glass unit. On contacting the aftersales team, the lovely lady went beyond for me and provided excellent customer service by rectifying the issue within 5 days.

I would definitely recommend Duration windows to those looking for high quality windows and bifold doors, provided with excellent service for peace of mind.

Excellent service from Duration, in particular the After Sales Department. Recently had a kitchen fitter rip out some secondary glazing we fitted 4 years ago which damaged the frame beyond repair, Duration found the original order and re-made a frame for us very quickly. Well done.

DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY. They have no control over their delivery, as mentioned by many reviews on here. We are consistently given delivery dates only to find out the day before they do not have the parts to even make the doors. We at least have some warning now as they quote a Friday delivery and on Wednesday let us know that the parts weren't on the truck from SMART systems in the morning so another weeks delay. They don't even have the relationship with their suppliers to know that items weren't loaded onto the truck when it left the suppliers. As to customer services.... as we are the end user and go through a middle supply company, they refuse to talk to us and tell us they will only email their client and give them the excuses direct why delays are 8 weeks after expected delivery. I was only trying to confirm where the fault lies, and it seems it is well and truly at Durations' door (if they even have one themselves). This has cost us a fortune (as well as stupid amounts of stress) with delays, the family not being able to move into the house and having to stay elsewhere, along with re scheduling of other trades and the fines incurred. Looking forward to next weeks excuse. DO NOT USE

Update: Confirmation on 29 Aug they have all the parts so confirm delivery for the 1st Aug. Today 30th get update : Sorry but delivery for our ref G1632VGLS is delayed. Estimated delivery range is now 04/09/2017-08/09/2017. Production Dept.
IT CONTINUES!!!!!

We have recently purchased aluminium SMARTS bi folds and 3 SMARTS Windows form Duration windows. They have been a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process. From booking in an appointment over the phone, we spoke to Anna who recommended a fab seafood shack in lea on sea, so we could make a day trip with 4yo and wife in toe. We met Anna at their showroom to discuss the various options, where we were given great advice and honest opinions with no pressure to make a sale, which was great as there was a lot to take in and discuss before we phoned in and made our final order. Another plus side was they have a little play area to keep our 4yo busy so we could focus on the task in hand. Once we paid our deposit we where given a delivery date which was on time. Usually we deal with grumpy curb side deliveries only, however the delivery driver was very friendly and helped us carry the bi folds 60m to the end of the garden!

I have to say they price very competitively and for such slim sight line bi folds they cannot be beaten in terms of price and quality. I would thoroughly recommend anyone looking for windows and bi folds to use Duration Windows.

I Have a building company in Nottingham and have been dealing with Duration for the past two years. Prices are as good as i have had and the quality of the product is more than adequate. Regarding the customer services, depending on what I need sorting this is on the whole good but could be improved regarding outstanding bits problems. Having said that Duration is 10 times better than any other company i have dealt with before.

My main annoyance is the fact that i can't get a job to land all at the same time if i want to order it all in grey or all in white.

Window well made but stickers placed on wrong side of glass! Hopeless after sales. Have actually contacted them by email and telephone on 5 separate occasions without the problem being resolved!

Where do I even begin?! I should have listened to the reviews. Trust me, do not touch this company. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. If I could get less than 1 star, I would. Absolutely shocking company to deal with.

Great experience of ordering (through Complete Windows).
Ken is amazing in the showroom and really knows more about windows and doors than I knew was possible - no pressure selling and lots of tips to make sure you make the right decision.
Have had 2 lots of windows fitted, all have been perfectly made and on one where a glass pane was broken when the gaskets were fitted a new one was made and delivered same day.
Would recommend Duration as suppliers and Complete Windows as fitters.

Disaster from start and I would say finish. But they will not deliver correct parts. Correct or even be interested in anything that's wrong. Can't even answer the phone or return a call. They are cute at demanding full payment before you can see stuff is missing and items don't work. I wanted to give zero stars but it demands at least one to post.

Amazing service. We met with Ken to discuss our doors and you couldn't have asked for more. He listened, he cared, he had fantastic knowledge about the products which he communicated in a way which was understandable to someone with no knowledge. He was first class. I wish everybody was like this.

I am a building contractor trying to complete a modest size extension on a private house
I ordered some dual coloured windows and bi-folds on 2nd October 2015. The bi-folds came 1 week before xmas but we are still waiting for the windows, some 15 weeks after ordering ( original estimate of 6-8wks ).
Duration are still unable to confirm a delivery date for me, which continues to be quite unacceptable.
One is the minimum star rating available otherwise it would be zero..
Sort it out Duration for any future customers, for that won't include me...

Ken at the Canvey Island showroom explained everything we needed to know about bi-fold doors and windows. Gave us loads of information and answered all of our questions. No pressure for a sale but welcomed us to return.

We visited the showroom on Canvey today, and can honestly say we have never met anyone as rude and unhelpful as Anna.
From the moment we walked into her showroom, she made it clear we were an intrusion in her day.
Things got worse when we tried to ask questions about the various ranges, and hinge types. She was not helpful, and it was clear she thought we should have known the answers. She even said at one point they she did not like our attitude to which we were absolutely gobsmacked. Both myself and my wife are professionals, and have worked in customer facing roles all our lives. If we ever dealt with customers the way she treated us, we would have have been dismissed, and would have expected to be.
We can only assume she is related to the Company owner, as if not, she would have been sacked ages ago.
Her attitude was so bad, at one point, we thought we may have been on a hidden camera show!

On our way back, we called in to the factory to speak to someone about our treatment. A call was made to the sales director, but she could not be bothered to come and speak to us, and delegated to Ken who came down after he finished his lunch. Ken advised us that all conversations in the showroom were recorded and he would listen. However, I pointed out to Ken that this was illegal as customers were not advised they were being recorded. Personally I do not believe this was true, and I asked for a copy of the recording to be sent to me and left my email.

When I got home and looked at reviews, I think we may have had a lucky escape, as there are some awful ones on here (as well as some good ones), but the gist of the bad ones is communication, and when you are spending a lot of money, you do not want to deal with a Business that does neat communicate well and return calls.

Also, as they supply only, I can foresee issues if there are problems later, as they will blame the fitter, and the fitter will blame the manufacturer.

Thank you Anna for giving us the heads up as to the type of Business you are. Our Architect who deals with many prestigious clients could not believe this, and will no longer suggest your Company.

Waited months for 3 roof skylights and then they stopped selling them because of a fault. I had to buy elsewhere and change my roof to suit them. Windows were 6 weeks late because of quality control then one of the windows was the wrong size. Customer service zero stars

Do NOT use Duration windows. We used them for two sets of doors and everything about it was a disaster. The doors they originally made were the wrong size so they had to make new ones. This happened FOUR times before they were able to make a set of doors that fitted. The after service has also been terrible as is their communication.

Called in to the showroom to see and understand the differences between various sliding patio doors and found Ken extremely knowledgable and helpful. Feel more comfortable making decisions now.

I have directed clients to Duration a number of times for bi-folding doors and rooflights. The staff are very knowledgeable and the quote generator is excellent. I finally made the trip down to Canvey this week to visit the show room, there I met Ken who was great and took the time to discuss the project I was researching and really helped with the design process!

We ordered 3 door folding windows with a special finish. The ptoduct arrived on schedule and were lovely. The price was good and the service was faultless. Even when one of the handles was accidentally broken on fitting, a replacement was with us within a few days.
I can recommend without hesitation.

I meet Grant at the Home Renovation Show at the Excel, after looking around I found Duration window to have the best product and they had a very good approach. We purchase 2 sets of Bi-fold doors with electronic blinds, I was ready to buy at the exhibition and they gave me an incredible price and a due time of 4-6 weeks which I could work with,
I went and had lunch and thought I d check the company out. On checking the company I noticed a lot of bad reviews. I asked Grant about these reviews and he explain that some customer ordered were delayed as the third party company which supplies there material were sending defect material and they will not pass this on to their customers. I accepted there answer and thought even with all the bad reviews I ll run the gantlet and hope for the best.
It was the best decision I made, they contacted me to arrange a date for their engineer to come out, really nice guy came out 8.00pm because that is the only time I could do.
Anna was incredible and was so happy to help and answer queries and keep me updated,
By mid-October I was given a date of the 30th Nov. It was from this point onwards I was afraid of the dreaded phone call saying it is going to be delayed by weeks like other people s reviews but they stuck to their guns and to the last day reassured me it will be the 30th Nov, I was given a time of between 8-10am and the guys turned up 9.00am.
The 2 installers were incredible, they got straight on it and even when there was a problem with the brick work they were very patient with us on the coldest day on the year so far whist we resolved the issue, they were happy, polite, informative, and clean leaving us with beautiful bi-fold doors.

I would defiantly recommend Duration windows in future for their service, product and price

Very poor experience from this company.

First ordered windows for whole house, was given 6-8 week delivery slot via text message. 1 day prior to delivery date dispatch rang saying they were still waiting for parts, so was provided with another delivery time a week later.

Lo and behold, week later same explanation given.

When windows were fitted and after building control pointed out that the window in the bedroom didn't meet the 450mm clear opening span in the event of fire.

Durartion confirmed that the hinge was fitted was incorrect, which should have been an egress hinge as specified at order.

To top this up they said they they would send out replacement hinges in the post. Why should I have to go to the trouble of fitting the hinges when they made the fault and in breach of contract??

We agreed that I get a quote from a local window co to quote to carry out the work. Quote was forwarded to Duration. I said that they can offer me less If I fit the hinges to save everybody the hassle.

I've been buying bifold doors from duration for the last year or so and have to say the service is amazing. As a builder I buy around 15 sets a year and not once have I had any issues. And a special thanks to Anna Willams for her outstanding customer service.

I'm dealing with an order currently going through and it's just such hard work.

I work in customer focused industry and run my own business and I think about customer experience a lot and I've got to say I'm disappointed with this business.

The Canvey showroom experience was great, I needed to refurbish a property and James talked me through all the options, managed to get me some prices quickly, very easy to talk to.

I then went through the process of trying to buy bifolds and a window from them. I did not expect it to take a week to get to taking my deposit. I needed to pay there and then! I needed these products urgently to meet a deadline and the sales team had no urgency to get this order through. I needed a delivery date also which they wouldn't give me.

I chased it several times, to a point where they must of known who I was, I would say I want to see where I am with my order and they would say "I'll chase that for you" and before I get a chance to reply, *click*. How do they know what they're chasing without a name? I get it, we all get those customers that can be persistent right, but sometimes they just need an answer.

I've chased today to remove fitting from the order, promised a call back and no call. They're closed now. This has happened more than once. Also had a text come through for the deadline which is too late.

Won't be using again.

I was slightly trepidatious to use Duration given the negative reviews here but I am glad I did. My builders just installed a "heritage" Crittal-style window door unit and I am so happy. It looks amazing, and my builders said it was a perfect fit and good quality as well. It was delivered the day before the 3 week window they advised when I ordered as well. I'd use them again -- no complaints.

Anna (in the main showroom) was extremely helpful during our recent visit and answered all of our questions with confidence and couldn't have been more helpful :)

We are in the process of finding a fitter and so am not able to comment on the windows themselves but shall update the review as we progress with our project.

So far (I've just ordered the windows) the service has been excellent. Anna has been efficient and friendly voice, while I've been working out what to buy.

Very let down by this company. Doors were late due to manufacturing issues then eventually cobbled together from various different profiles in an attempt to make up lost time. Mechanism has never worked smoothly or locked properly and rather than sending someone out as per my request to make simple but necessary adjustments they blame the entire mess on the installer. I have had a new fitter look at them who has confirmed that majority of errors are due to manufacturing not installation. Still company don't want to know.

We had a terrible experience with this company, culminating with them sending a huge pre made-up bi-fold door frame on delivery day with their fitters when we'd never in a million years have requested this because of the obvious access issue through a front door in a terraced house in London!!! Left high and dry by them on the day and when challenged of course blamed for ticking this 'tickbox' request on ordering - actually, it transpired this was already pre-filled in by their sales person without any reference made to it on the phone. Along the process we spoke with quite a ridiculous number of different employees - a couple were friendly and knowledgeable but one or two key people made you feel your call was an inconvenience - this resulted in consistent contradictions on information and costs and we felt the organisation was a bit of a shambles with awful customer service. They treat their window and door orders separately too, even to the point of payment and delivery, even when arriving the same day. Insanely inefficient for both business and customer. Duration was not anywhere near the cheapest quote we had. There are plenty of other companies out there and if we had to do it again, we would certainly give Duration a miss.

My builder has been in touch and I am glad that we can have the Basque Red colour again.

We have just placed our order for a 5 door bi-fold set in the new Slimline Plus range and are looking forward to our builder NJB Construction fitting in a few weeks time. Anna in the Duration showroom (Grand Designs) on Canvey seafront was so helpful and talked us through all the options on colours and technical specifications. We are ordering with confidence as this larger door set will replace our old bi-folds that have worked really well for us and were also from Duration. They are about 6 years old and we have even managed to sell them for a good price, such is the quality. 2 large roof windows from Duration will complete the order.

I purchase all my aluminium Bi fold doors and roof lights from Duration, they have a quick turnaround and helpful delivery staff.
When I place my orders I deal with the very professional Anna Williams.
Anna is conscientious and has very good product knowledge, giving advice on profile and door design etc.
Anna is an asset to the company and I look forward to ordering again soon.

Had an appointment yesterday at their showroom, Grand Designs. We now know everything there is to know about bi-fold doors. The gentleman we met with was so very knowledgeable and we would highly recommend Duration Windows.

Hi, Really impressed with Duration Windows. Have just placed an order for a set of Emperor bifold doors, loved the look of them and the price was great too! Anna was really knowledgeable about the product and couldn't have been any more helpful. Can't wait to fit them and will be coming back in a few months time to look at their range of windows.

The product that Duration has provided for us is of a high standard. However, the customer service is absolutely disgraceful. We initially had huge trouble getting the bifold doors actually fitted to the house and now, four months after they were fitted, we still have issues. One of the door frames is chipped and yet, not a single person at Duration has been able to phone us back about this to provide a date for a new panel and agree compensation. It is quite funny how they are such a good company while they haven t got your money and yet, once the balance has been paid, they are no longer interested.
So I would warn all future potential customers that although the product is good, you have to be prepared for the service you get to be poor. Very disappointed with Duration.

Update as of 10th April- we were able to eventually get the panel fixed although this was after the fitter initially wanted to change the wrong panel on the bifold and had to be corrected. However, we are still struggling with the customer service side. Given the extensive amount of time this process has taken and the number of mishaps we have had to endure, Duration still have not managed to agree with us suitable compensation. We are hugely disappointed that a company with such a great product is unable to provide the level of customer of service you would expect considering we have spent so much money with them.

Lovely atmosphere, staff welcoming, quick service, great menu and food is well presented and really nice.

As a previous reviewer has said, if I could choose no stars for Duration Windows, I would.
Let me start with the positive. The Duration team are very friendly. Unfortunately, they are also inefficient, unresponsive and they fail to deliver.
I have had a dreadful experience with this company. So far we have paid out a lot of money, but still have no windows to show for it during this particularly wet summer. Our whole build is being held up by this awful company. We still have no idea when our windows will be arriving, if at all.
I have spent days on the phone chasing them, each time being put on hold for up to 10 minutes and eventually being told someone will call me back. They never do. Not once.
I thoroughly do not recommend Duration Windows and would warn anyone considering them not to be taken in by their charm, and to look elsewhere.

Would not recommend to my worst enemy, total shambles, six months of incorrect parts (I ve lost count of how many individual bits),
shoddy workmanship (I ve had to modify parts and redrill holes just to get them to fit).
No offer of compensation or formal apology from management.
An all round awful customer experience.
