Driversselect has the best car prices in DFW. I purchased a 2018 Camry from them today. Although I am very happy with the car, I was very disappointed in the service we received. Here are my grievances with my car buying experience today: 1) Called ahead at 9AM to book a 6:45 slot for this afternoon. When we arrived on time we had to wait 45 minutes before we could see the car we wanted. 2) There was no walk through of the car at all. We were just handed keys and told to drive it around. (after sharing license of course) 3) Our salesman was in an extreme hurry and did not explain anything to us. He offered me two price totals and asked me to point to the one I wanted to pay. One had the ally warranty added and another with a 500 dent coverage added. If I hadn t carefully read what was added he would have charged me that without even explaining what I was paying for. The fact that it was snuck in there with no explanation gave me a real shady vibe. 4) I m not sure if he was having a bad day or what, but our salesperson was not friendly

It was good until the end, sales person said since we bought the PermaPlate the car would be detailed. It wasn't even cleaned. What is that about Over $400.00 and I even asked do we do it ourselves, he said no we'll put the product on for you. I'm not happy with that, I know it's a used car but don't lie about it
Nice selection, friendly staff, and good prices. Longer closing time keeps them from getting 4 star.
The only good thing I can say about this place is that they do have great selection of cars that are priced way less than what you would find anywhere else considering the condition and miles. However my car buying experience from here was HORRIBLE. I went in 1/12/19 and worked with sales associate Kameron G. I fell in love with a limited 75th anniversary edition Jeep Renegade with a panoramic removal roof but noticed there was a stain on the front drivers seat that looked like glue or something sticky that had dried up. I verbally expressed to Kam although I was buying a used car the stain would be a deal breaker for me because with this being my first car purchase I wanted everything to be as perfect. Kam said that he saw those kind of stains a lot and that the detail guys would for sure be able to get it out once they cleaned the car because it had not been detailed yet. I again stated that if the stain could not be removed that I did not want the vehicle. Everything came back with the same terms offered on the auto navigator. Left came back once car was cleaned to be told that the stain did not come out because they were out of Goo Gone that they normally used to take out those stains. I was frustrated and visibly upset at this point because my credit had been ran, papers signed and he knew this was a deal breaker. Kam grabbed his manager Chris P to see at this point what could be done. He inspected the stain, talked to the shop guys who he confirmed told him all they needed was the product and the stain would come out. Chris kept stating he was 100% confident once the product was in that they could get the stain removed and offered to write me a We Owe form. He stated that they could easily just put me in another car if it came down to that also. I was told Kyle in customer care would call on Mon or Tue the following week and that the issue was documented in the system. I hadn't received a call so I started calling and leaving messages on Kyle VM starting Tue 1/15. By Wed I called the manager Chris P and still no call back. I finally spoke with Myriam and set an appt to drop the car off on Friday 1/18/19. Went in Friday, the shop tried the same product they used the first time on the stain making it worse, Myriam said there was no documentation in the system explaining the issue and still the product wasn't ordered. From there everything just went downhill. No call backs from manager Vance Washko after numerous calls and left VM about the issue. He even gave me my keys at one point on one of the many occasions I had to go up there as if the issue was resolved for me only to get to the car and the stain to still be there. I had make a trip to reach him face to face on 1/22 because he would not return my cars and left voice messages. I drove back and forth 4 times and still only ended up dissatisfied. After 9hrs of being there 2/1/19 and 20 days later I still walked out again having to get another car, pay another down payment with a slightly higher rate and monthly payment and removal roof :(. All of which was not explained when they stated "we can just put you in something else" They also ran my credit thru Ally when I specifically advised only use Capital One. There was one other manager, the front desk guy, and the lady who helped finish the deal on 2/1/2019 that was awesome and a pleasure to work with. As for Vance Washko I'm not for sure how he still holds the general sales manager position, he lacks effective communication skills and does not show that he cares at all about customer concerns.
Went to help a friend look for a car. Customer service was not the best. Prices were ok. Had an ok selection of cars.
We started the day good. We are greeted by the receptionist and had to wait a little bit for our salesperson as they were busy. I came in there with a car in mind that I wanted to buy. I brought my truck in for a trade as well, they proceeded to check my truck to give me a trade in value. In the middle of this, they could not locate the car I wanted and told me it might be on a test drive but could not track the vehicle, something about them having tracking issues with their cars. We proceeded to wait a while because I really liked the car (2020 dodge durango RT) sales person finally came back and told us that the GM had taken the car for the day and it would be back tomorrow, weird but I still wanted the car and proceeded to the finance side. They gave me that high APR% at the beginning. Mind you I have a great credit score. They rushed back and came out with a better rate but it came with their must by warranty and I wouldn't get this rate with out their warranty. I did not want that warranty because it was useless in my eyes and chose to opt out. They came back with a whole different rate, too high and did not want to let that warranty go. They became less interested in me and gave up. I really wanted that car but their no haggle pricing is BS after they want to add an extra 5,000 to the original price and you get the lowest possible trade value. Wasted my time for nothing. Update. Staff reached out to me and informed me of more options that were not discussed in my first encounter. I decided to give them another chance because I really liked the car. We came back and got a slightly better deal and settled on that.
I went here on a Saturday to meet with David. I test drove the car and all went well. He told me he would be able to beat it probably. When he went back to run my credit, he told me it would only be one hard inquiry on my account. When I went to check my credit, I had 4 hard inquiries because of this and score drops by 70. Apart from credit check issue everything perfectly fine and got better deal than outside dealers. I contacted and also went to store to ask about credit checks, the guy from financial team came and was telling me to open dispute with Equifax. When I opened dispute with Equifax, Equifax says they can t remove those hard enquiry because DriversSelect don t support them to take out. I mean DriversSelect don t help them with documents requested from Equifax.
Buying the car was no hassle. They do try very hard to get you to finance and buy the extended warranty. NOW...waiting on service to return call about the malfunction light. Car was purchased on 9/3/2020, it comes with a 30 day warranty. This light came on, and I called on 9/21/20. They were going to see about doing a diagnsotic locally for me rather than driving to Dallas. I have called back twice, emailed, and still hve not had anyone get back to me. I will follow up.
Although it was crowded and it took us several hours to get the car, we received excellent customer service. I don t recommend going on a Saturday as it as very crowded, but on the whole it was a very good experience.
Pretty average experience with this car dealer. While pricing is attractive it is a cumbersome process to purchase a vehicle and is designed for people in need of financing or bad credit. The sales person was hosting multiple buyers during my buying process and short of constantly calling his cell phone was difficult to stay engaged on the process. Be prepared to spend a long time in the purchase process as they use a let them wait approach to get their deals done.
Arrived at 9 am and stayed till 6 p.m. attending person didnt stay with us very long. However, the cars and pricing of vehicles are GREAT! have to have ALOT of patience!
The best place to buy used cars. But the response after buying the car is less if you have any issues with the car. hard to get in contact with the customer service.
They have a nice and welcoming staff. I dealt with Hensay. He did a great job showing me the car I wanted, Dodge Journey. I walked in with a loan but because they didn't work with credit unions I allowed them to see if they could get me a better interest rate....well they couldn't (18%)! That was a big turn off to me. So I found another Dodge Journey at Town East Ford with a few more mileage with an interest rate of 6.09%. Same price as well. Got a call from driver select wondering what they could have done better and I explained to them the only thing was getting me a better interest rate. If that wasn't the problem I would have bought with them. I'm Not an unhappy customer just disappointed.
Good price on the vehicle. However, I had to wait for 30 min despite being from out of town and having check written in hand. The title clerk was behind. No biggie, these things happen.
If you plan on financing less than $10k, save the gas and don't bother making the drive. Huge selection of cars that are competitively priced, but they're not interested in speaking/dealing with you if you're a "small fry". I suspect that their prices are so low to lure you into financing over +50% of the price. Plus this place is a factory, people are everywhere, in and out. Don't expect a "personal touch" from the orange-clad salesmen, who are probably handling 10-15 customers besides you. Like I said, the selection and prices are very competitive, but it won't be a pleasurable experience.
I wasn t impressed with the customer service but the price on the car was great.
I m giving 3 stars for salesperson Jeff. He wasn t my salesperson but he helped me more than my actual salesperson, Salim. I was there yesterday and financing didn t work the way I l d hoped. I tried to get my salesperson to call me today and never heard from him. Jeff couldn t see my info since he wasn t assigned to me but he was more helpful and responsive than Salim. I felt like an inconvenience to Salim who wanted nothing to do with me or my business. I would highly recommend Jeff if you need a salesperson.
Ashton was very knowledgeable about each cars we inquired about; he knew specific features included on this car vs. that, and explained them objectively. He made a couple of attempts to "up sell" us (sorting results from most to least expensive, suggesting more expensive brands), but was not obnoxious or judgmental about it. He was friendly and personable throughout the transaction. We spent two hours looking at and test-driving cars, then another three and a half hours at the dealership finalizing paperwork (arrived at 3 p.m., left a little after 8 p.m.). About 30 minutes of that was due to the fact that my husband's excellent credit score warranted some personal intervention from the credit manager (Jose) to get a more acceptable rate than was automatically generated. The rest of the time included lengthy intervals when Ashton went to print paperwork or check on the detailing of the car, which apparently was done haphazardly, so he requested more time be taken to remove buffing cream, etc. Twice during our wait, a gentleman who may have been a sales manager stopped at our table and asked if everything was alright, and who our salesman was. After each conversation, Ashton reappeared with paperwork, or a request for insurance information, or some other bit of information.
Let me start by saying that my husband and I had been searching for the right vehicle for our growing family for months prior to visiting the Echo Park Drivers Select location in Grand Prairie. We drove up from Waco on a Monday afternoon with our 2 youngest daughters after having found 2 potential vehicles we wanted to test drive and after having established contact with one of the salesman at the dealership prior to driving up. Echo Park is an extremely large, and at times overwhelming, dealership. Has a bit of a "cattle call" feel as there are no traditional offices only cubicles with very minimal privacy offered for discussing details of a sale. That said, it was very nice and clean, they offer a variety of beverages and plenty of seating for their guests. There are thousands of vehicles for sale at this location and as such the driveways around the building can be very busy with cars constantly being pulled in and out for test drives by valets who are less than careful at times. We had to wait a short time for our sales rep, Chris, to find us when we arrived at the dealership and then had a bit longer wait when he went to pull the first of the two vehicles we wanted to test drive. He was very patient and pleasant to work with. We were able to look at the car at our leisure and take it out for a drive without any sales pressure whatsoever. The whole process of drawing up the sale paperwork did take quite a while but some of it was due to my forgetting to bring our insurance card. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time, are prepared and bring all necessary insurance paperwork with you, have a car or cars already selected to test drive, do establish contact with a sales rep and make an appointment prior to arriving at the dealership, and if you're serious about buying a car from them and are planning to finance fill out the application on their website before you ever show up. They do not negotiate price. What you see online is what you pay when you go to buy. There are a fair amount of "extras" available for purchase such as extended warranties, upholstery protection, etc that you will need to evaluate the pros and cons of for yourself before you sign the purchase agreement. Chris did an excellent job of explaining these to us and allowing us to choose what made sense for us. You can ask to see the total price with and without certain extras; Chris was very accommodating with us and showed us our options many different ways. Make sure you read everything thoroughly and pick the extras and payments that best fit your financial situation. While you are doing the paperwork they take your car in and clean it up, wash it etc and pull it up ready to go. Wish they had topped off the gas tank before we drove away (it was 2/3 of a tank full) but all in all we were pleased and we left feeling good about our purchase but exhausted.
Me and my husband purchased a dodge dart which we absolutely love, low miles, the price was great but car buying experience it self wasnt great when we got home to lock the car the key didn't work we only received one key and was told that an additional key would cost 185 which is ridiculous you would think it would come with two keys! I called them the following day which i told them we changed the batterys put that did not fix the problem. Later that day my husband got a call telling him we needed to go back to sign corrected paperwork because we were over charged on gap. So we went signed more papers, told them about our key problem again for them to just put a new battery because apparently we're not capable of putting a battery in right. Which it did not fix the problem and told to take it up to dodge! Happy i got a good deal but also glad the experience is over.
I went into Driver Select knowing exactly the car I wanted to purchase. My husband and I waited about 30 minutes to get set up with a sales associate, and she went and got the car for us to test drive. Immediately after sitting in the car you could tell it was a smoker s car. I told Lilia, the saleswoman, that I didn t want a smoker s car. She told me she would only show me one more car. I understand they sell cars FAST and want to work fast, but not many people want smoker s cars which is why this specific car is $3000 less than others the same make and model. We also found out later that Lilia s shift was close to ending. I understand wanting to go home on time , but to get frustrated with me because I didn t want a smokers car was annoying to me. We waited about an hour for her to get another car for us to test drive, but she came back and said that one had been purchased. (Two days later the car she said had been purchased was still on the website, but the one I eventually bought was taken off that night.) After getting ready to buy the next car I wanted Lilia told us my mom (the co-signer of my trade in) would have to come to the dealership to sign off the car. She told me that AFTER I told her I didn t need to finance through them. It seemed fishy to me that she waited until after I test drive and was ready to buy to tell me that. I told her that wasn t an option because my mom lives 2 hours away, but she said there was nothing she could do. We left without purchasing a vehicle after being their for over 4 hours, but then noticed the title to my trade in did not have the co-signers name on it, only mine. So we drove back to the dealership, spoke with the head of sales, and had purchased the car no problem within 45 minutes. I m not sure what was taking Lilia so long, or why she didn t want my money, but at the end of the day I got the car I wanted and it s in great condition.
If you know what you want and they have it then it's kind of a painless experience. They don't have cars at the location so you must know what you want set an appointment and they'll bring them to test drive and purchase it. It's huge and busy. You won't get the absolute best deal but you won't get totally screwed over and you won't have to haggle.
If you want to save money, you should consider this dealership. But if you don't inspect the car really well, you will spend the money you save trying to fix all the problems that the car has. Most of the vehicles are off-lease so expect things to fail due to wear and tear like the battery, which I had failed in mine, windshield wipers, and some new tires. Don t even try to put a deposit down, you can call and they ll say they will call back the next day to get a deposit from you, don t expect that call because that is not going to happen. They will also try to add a $550 Perma Plate charge that covers things that you can clean with $10 car cleaning stuff from Walmart. We were there for 4 hours and the salesman were probably talking to us for a whole 10 minutes. And if you pay with your debit card and cash, they'll take the cash and charge the card even before they give you the contract to sign. Customer service is nonexistence, don't expect anything after your purchase. My car's battery a few days after and I called, they said email them the invoice and they'll reimburse. Never got any call back or any email updating it. It's been almost 10 days since that. My car has a missing navigation SD card and they said they'll mail it in 2-5 days. It's been almost 3 weeks and it's nowhere to be found or heard of, they'll just tell you it's in back-order. The "we owe" paper is useless. Edit: they ve reimbursed me for the battery, sd card is still nowhere to be found. Customer service manager never left an email or phone number to be contacted. Edit 2: customer service left a response a few days ago on here, I have yet to be contacted. I also called them sometimes last week, they said they would escalate my file but nothing happened. Edit 3: emailed them at [email protected] and SD card was sent the day after. Got it today (09/15) and it works fine. Review was changed from 1-star to 3-star. Timeline: I bought the car on 07/18, got a "we-owe" paper for the SD card. Battery was dead and had to be replaced the day after. Called them about faulty battery on 07/23, said they would reimburse me, got the check in the mail on 08/17. SD card got here on 9/15. Left a bunch of voice mails and never got a call back, only after the 1-star review that they reached me and try to resolve the issue. If you want them to reach you quick, update your reviews and the rep will reply to your review.
My experience started off bad. Originally got an 2016 Audi which broke down only 4 days after I drove it off the lot. Also the looked over the paper work which has an extended warranty and gap insurance added for about $4000 extra dollars. They don t tell you the warranty and gap is optional!! Needless to say I was very upset at this point went back in and spoke with the manager and re work my contact for a different car since the Audi broke down. Things turned around once I worked with Asia who is very nice and professional. If you want the best deal possible ask for Gene. He got me the deal and car I was looking for!
They can have really good deals. No bargains though. Their cars seemed to be in good shape. One issue, you can only finance from the banks they have ties with. Really busy on the weekends. Even if you have an appointment you might have to wait for a while.
Received a good deal on my car, however a month after purchasing it my car keeps displaying maintenance required . My car allegedly has over 2,000 miles until I should require an oil change according to the sticker on my windshield. I was told that I m no longer under their warranty and to go to a real Toyota dealership to take care of it. Also they push the extended warranty way to hard. I had to deny it over 6 times, and a woman who I guess was some type of manager tried to pressure me into me into trading in my car for $1k. Instead I sold it within days for $5000 on my own. Just know that you may get a good price, but once you re off the lot, you re on your own after 30 days of purchase.
The sales representative didn't meet me at the appointed time we agreed upon. The financing through the dealership is terrible. I have excellent credit but was given this horrible rate. I quickly found another lender. But one redeeming quality is the vehicle itself is good. I love my new used car. The dealership furniture and amenities are nice as well. And the people are nice. Please work on your credit options are tell buyers that they can bring their own financing. I was discouraged or told EchoPark doesn't allow outside financing, which I don't believe is correct.
Best price, but they did not try their best. They don't care you buy or not..
Prices are awesome!! We had to make 2 trips to get the vehicle because we did not want to finance thru their lender. They will not do a site draft from your financial institution and will require a $500 deposit to hold the vehicle, the deposit takes 7-10 business days to get back. Also they mailed someone else's title, purchase contract & other paperwork to us that had that personal/confidential info on it. We had to contact them numerous times to get that resolved. The parking lot is really crowded & parking is horrible so it's hard to look at vehicles...they are just all jumbled together. Be prepared to spent a lot of time even if you go in with your financing in place. We spent approximately 5 hours the first trip & 2 hours on the second trip!!! Great prices but horrible customer service from the "finance department/business office upstairs".
Was there with hubby looking for an MKC and the guy helping named Sylvester told us about the car and showed us some of the features. After testing driving a second MKC ,different year, we came back in and they called Sylvester however he never came back after we waited almost 20 minutes so we left. Got a phone call from him asking if we were still there. This place needs better follow up, that was pitiful.
The experience was as they said it would be. Everything done prior to arriving. However, I felt like once they get there money they dont have anything to do with you unless they can sell you another vehicle. I went to purchase a car late at night and received the wrong car (the website info was not correct about the car) when I attempted to switch the car(a couple days later) I was told no after being given the run arounds but then was told to trade the car in and get the one I wanted. So I paid a little over $1000 for the car I originally wanted, couldnt finance with the same person so carnote went up due to increase in interest also. But had it not been for all of that the experience would have been great. Just make sure you are getting the right car before leaving.
We bought our second car here but it was a terrible experience. The sales guys trying to make their sale worked so hard to get us there and then we end up with a car with no a/c. How is that not something you check? The first car my wife bought by herself and the battery terminals were dirty and we ended up having to replace the battery in the first 2 months. I thought that was a one off thing and they would be better this time. They give you good value for your trade and they sell cars at the lowest price possible. Those things are great. But it s too busy for the people they have on Saturday. We went in with the whole deal already done and still took over 3 hours. One of those hours was them trying to print out stuff. Go there for cheap cars with no inspection done to them and check them hard. Do not go there if you want an in and out experience.
Pros: 2-3 year carfax 1-owner vehicles at a competitive price in the market (kbb). Wide selection of cars to choose from and definitely better than carmax kind of dealerships in terms of price/value. I also liked the fact I can test drive as many cars as I can with minimum fuss. Warning : Don t go on Weekend - it s busy but regular weekdays is good. Cons: Financing - They don t accept credit unions as they require too much documentation plus slowness in paying the dealer and often rates are 1.5% higher with their affiliated financial institutions. They try to sell extended warranty products just like any other dealership would. But I went here thinking they are different and they aren t. No good after-sales service. I had to replace two tires right after purchase- the air was leaking every day and when I took it to discount tires, they said those tires were already fixed and leaking and cannot be fixed anymore. But when I took it to dealership, they couldn t find any fault with tires. If they do 190 point inspection as advertised, how come they are able to sell tires which are fixed, it s puzzling . On top of this, sales guy won t pick up the call and once he texted he was off that day. He was kind and courteous during the sales process though. Overall, it was exciting experience initially but faded once car is bought.
Went to look at 2 cars, ended up liking one. The cost of the car is $16,909 But they wanted me to pay close to $22,000 they added their car warranties without showing the prices. We were going back and forth because warranty was close to $3,000, exterior warranty $600 and interior $450. The sales guy seemed annoyed we weren t wanting the plan. So he got the Senior Finance supervisor to take over. He ended up reducing my APR from 9.9% to 3.49% just so we could get the plan. We ended up getting the plan and probably will cancel it. I know this is how car dealerships work but we were told by multiple call center workers they weren t like this. Dont lie to me.
Good buying experience. Very limited pay options, so be prepared if you want to pay for your purchase up-front. Worst part of the whole experience was the way-too-loud annoying Muzak suited to a 14-year-old in the lobby.
This is the second vehicle i bought from DS, good cars at good prices but they are becoming victims of their own success. This time around the buying process took 6 hours and at times no one checked on us for an hour, when we finally took delivery the car was filthy but we were too exhausted to send it back. They automatically added a $2500 service contract on vehicle that still had 4 years manufacturers warranty, also tried to charge $800 processing fee but couldn t explain what it was for. Lastly they said they changed the oil on the car but my mechanic said it hadn t been changed in very long time.
Bad customer service. Be careful with them. Check everything to avoid being fooled.
I love the car and my family loves it. Only 2 problems 1. When I was leaving the dealership the bottom part of the car fell and was scrapping across the highway, I had to come back to the dealership for them to fix it. 2. Their is a side piece on my car that is loss now and I am hoping that the dealership will fix this issue. I will say that my salesman has been amazing and is helping me with every problem that has come up.
It s a great place to be honest, I didn t think it d be that big at all, definitely a great place to purchase a vehicle from. That been said, the reason I m giving them 3 stars is for trying to convince me into buying extended warranties, dent warranty, etc, even though I made it very clear for them that I don t any of these extra warranties. What really bothered about that is the fact that I told them how much am I looking to pay every month, and the amount with all of these extra perks was almost 300 dollars more which is totally unacceptable.
For the most part I had an easy and enjoyable car buying experience here. The salesmen seemed trustworthy (initially) as well as the company. I did not feel like I was going to be taken advantage of. I ended up buying the first car I test drove and was very satisfied with my purchase. My one complaint was the financing process, when my salesman flipped from helping me to what definitely seemed like trying to take advantage by pushing add on coverages, which I did not want. I could tell he wasn t telling me these things for my benefit, but for his own. He kept pushing and probably added 30 more minutes onto the already lengthy process trying to persuade me being borderline rude and implying that I was stupid if I didn t accept the additional costs. I do feel like he didn t fight as hard as he could have to get me a lower interest rate because of this despite my excellent credit. In the end I still did not get the coverage. I would advise to not treat customers this way because we can tell when we are being manipulated and will not come back if we feel this way.
Huge selection of cars! I was impressed. Only gave it 3 stars because they require you to finance through them. I prefer to use my own bank.
Based on their website which caught my attention and some good selections, plus their convenient location, they were my first go-to to purchase a vehicle. Color me annoyed when I arrive at the location that google sends me to. I lsee an empty lot and I was told they just moved and that the new location was on their website. Definitely is not readily visible. If you move locations, you should make it very clear and also alert google where most people will search your address. However, 3 stars for the amazing customer service in their apologetic tone. The worker even took my contact info to follow up in case I change my mind. The new location was 30 min away so unfortunately they lost my business. But thumbs up to their staff.
They didn t transfer my Disability license plates to new vehicle which costs me about $100 and a lot of unnessary paperwork to fix. This could have easily been done according to the state when preparing paperwork at the dealership.
Purchased 2016 BMW for my son. Despite experiencing some communication issues during the buying process; salesperson, Damion Yuri handled my straight-forward personality marvelously (which many people often cannot). Damion was patient, flexible and remained consistent with his communication during the sales process (much of our communication took place via several phone calls). Damion was able to multi-task, as he efficiently provided me with attention along with other customers who had scheduled appointments. The vehicle was competitively priced. Like the other reviews, the warranty and gap insurance were discussed with me more than once. SUGGESTION: Once a customer declines your service/product, respect their response and let it go. If it is such a great product provide an opportunity for the customer to take advantage of this wonderful product and if it is declined, consider it their loss. Apparently, these services provide the company a handsome profit as more time was spent speaking about the warranty and insurance than the car I was interested in purchasing. I am a first impressions person; I like people who look, act, and speak as professionals. Now, if not for the shirt/jacket employees are required to wear; there are some people there, I thought, You have a job? Here? However, everyone I encountered was pleasant and professional. I was especially impressed upon entering the dealership with Quran; his infectious smile and lighthearted demeanor immediately put me at ease. I also encountered Gene Kakoma who must be a fire-fighter at the dealership. As Mr. Kakoma was sent to speak to the angry black woman when communication errors occurred. Mr. Kakoma maintained a courteous approach during each of our interactions. Gene was superb in his communication style; he and I maintained a mutual respect while discussing each of our needs. I understand why he is respected amongst his colleagues. The true MVP of my sale was, Vance Washko, Sales Director. Vance was able to make things happen at a moment when I was frustrated with the games and was going to leave and NEVER return (even if it meant paying more for a car). My current review reflects some pending issues, as I was informed the vehicle goes through a recon process and the oil is changed and a multi-point inspection is performed. Although when my husband preformed the vehicle s system check it stated the brake fluid is low and the oil change is 1100 miles over due. If the vehicle was thoroughly checked less than 90 days ago----Why is the oil change showing overdue and the brake fluid low? (Hmmmm) In closing, I have a rhetorical question. Why on one of the coldest days are just the minorities outside (working in the field) in the harsh weather conditions---to move traffic cones .Really? One may think minorities don t notice hidden racism---but we notice. Make America Great Again!
My 3 stars are for customer care only. In the process of buying a car from Drivers Select, Gene was so helpful and made sure every process was easy and approved with my okay. There has been two issues with the car I bought, but very minor. This is where customer care comes in. Gene referred me to Kyle and Miriam, who gave me their direct contact numbers and agreed to call me at a certain time on my lunch break. I didn t receive any calls and had to constantly call them 4 days straight before getting a hold of Miriam, who then referred my frustration of their customer care and lack thereof to Kyle. This happened for both instances/issues. Leaving voicemails and waiting for them to call back didn t do any justice and it made my experience a disappointing one. I decided to just go through Audi and have Audi direct any warranty concerns and etc to them, so that I don t even have to come into contact with customer care myself. I d say buy a car from drivers select but make sure things like the battery being new, fender and such doesn t stick out, and other internal issues are 100% checked, so that you don t have to deal with even meeting Kyle or Miriam. They gave the absolute WORST customer care.
Overall, I'd recommend buying a car here, as long as you're aware of 2 things. 1) You absolutely need to know what you're looking at in terms of the mechanical integrity of the car, because the sales people here are just there to sell you a car (obviously) and can give you no information beyond what's in the carfax report. If you're not comfortable looking over a car yourself, have mechanic look it over while you have it for a test drive. If you do find any issues, this dealership will not negotiate on price (with some small exceptions, see #2 below). 2) The post-sale "customer satisfaction" team is all but non-existent. If you have any issues post-sale, know that you're probably not going to get a response from them, much less any help. They don't pick up the phone and they don't call back. I had to keep calling and pestering the sales team until someone finally was able to answer a simple question for me. Be especially wary of any IOU offers during the sale. If the front windshield is cracked, or the tires are nearly out of tread, they may offer an IOU to replace those things. Do not take it. Argue with them until they agree to take ~$200 off the sales price. Take the money and run, because they're not going to help you once the sale is done. Other than that, the sale was very smooth. I liked that they gave you the car with virtually no questions asked, which gives you plenty of time to look over the car as long as you want (just try to get there a few hours before they close). They tried hard to push their warranty, which is completely unnecessary and super over-priced, but that's also to be expected.
Got my car from driverselect yesterday. Sales person wont allow me to take the car for pre purchase inspection, had to talk to the manager. Process is not quick, plan to be there for 4-5 hours. Sales person wont give any personal attention as he is handling 3-4 customers at a time. So keep waiting. They wont negotiate on the price but will surely haggle you if you are not willing to take their extended warranty. Even if you talk to your sales person and tell him you are not interested in the extended warranty he will get another person who will try to sell it to you. At the end I bought the car without the extended warranty they were trying to sell me. But at the end they have very good prices on the car compared to other dealers.
The overall experience was okay. The sales person Lilia was awesome. However, I did not like how the finance department added in GAP insurance and an extended warranty without asking me if those were options that I would be interested in. That process alone turned my 5 star experience into a 3 star experience. Yes, I would definitely recommend Drivers Select because the vehicles are reasonably priced but beware of the extras that are added in without first notifying the customer.
3 stars all goes to the salesman, the dealership failed me. Car wash was not completed prior to delivery. Vehicle needed couple of reconditioning touches they didn't do. Tint. No not available. Car was shaking and they said they balanced the tires but obviously the experts looking at the car and said needs balancing did not know what it really needs since it is still shaking. Beside all that clean dealership and they need to stop pushing for their products since they keep saying they are a non-hassle price but gives you a hassle to buy a product from them. wish i had a better experience. Update: Said someone will contact you but apparently no one will contact me since the deal is over. Still waiting for a phone call/email from SOMEONE.
Don t go without an appointment, you d b lucky to get someone to help u. They re really busy and ud have to wait on them to get your car from their offsite garage.
The car selection and the salesperson (DeMeon) were wonderful, but I am disappointed by 2 aspects of the process after I decided to purchase a vehicle. I had prearranged with a local garage to bring in the car for an inspection, but the DriversSelect manager would not allow me to do so. After the purchase, I did take the car to a mechanic, who identified the car had been in an accident, although the CarFax report showed "clean". DriversSelect said they did a ~300-point inspection, but apparently, they missed that little detail. I had prearranged financing through my credit union, but DriversSelect said I had to use their financing, which was 1.5 pts higher than my Credit Union. The Finance manager explained that using their financing allowed them to keep the (advertised) price of the car lower. The net result is a $750 surcharge, when calculating the present value of the higher payments.
Nice vehicle selection if you want a high end vehicle
I traded my Jeep Wrangler in for a 2018 Toyota 4Runner from this place. Overall, I would recommend purchasing a vehicle from Driver Select due to their great prices BUT I caution future purchasers of the time it takes without having an appointment.. 6 hours for me. Three of those hours spent negotiating because they sneak their Gap, Extended Warranty, and Accessories costs in the total when working up numbers... AFTER running your credit. So, you don t have the option (or you do if you want) to run away before running your credit. Be very careful and read ALL of the lines on the paperwork. We talked about potential numbers then I was happy with where I stood. They ran my credit and the total financing price was MUCH higher than I had anticipated. After 4 different negations, I finally got the manager to come out and work up the deal on the computer right in front of me and we closed the deal. Had this happened in the beginning, it would have been a MUCH faster process. In the end, I ended up with a nice vehicle with only 1 key and no floor mats (which I was not told about until I had already signed paperwork). The salesman gave me a package of new Weather Tech mats so that was fine. Wish I had gotten more for my Jeep or less off the car for simply sitting in there for 6 hours.
I am backing them down to 3 stars for poor followup. No tags received (yet they dealership received them and did not call me, they put the wrong zip code on our paperwork); we have not received any car payment info from lender (wrong zip code on our paperwork which we showed them at closing); they owe us a car cleaning and they have not followed through. I am stalking them daily! Other than that, for the purchase part, here is my review.....we had a good experience. all done in one day, credit was great (very low rates, matched my CU). cons: they are disorganized. I made an appointment, told them what cars i wanted to drive, they said they would have them on the lot. They did not have them. we waited and waited and waited. finally got one we wanted to drive and bought it, gave up on the rest. service: car smells smokey. super responsive service, but the service company that is supposed to show up has not called. That's been 3 weeks so I continue to stalk them. Tags: 4 weeks and they have not shown up. They had my zip code wrong on my finance papers which i corrected but wondering if they caught it for my tags. Overall, I will use them again just for the ease factor. I used Jeff Jewell, He was very nice an fairly responsive but did seem a bit disorganized. So bring your sense of humor and plan on spending extra time. The cars are in two lots so you HAVE to make an appointment and if the car you want is not there, you have to wait until they bring it. That's a pain. BUT, all cars are on line. pricing is on line, fees are online. They do try and upsell you extended warranties (that start from day one of purchase, NOT when manufacturer's warranty expires) so ask questions. They also try and sell you gap insurance. Both of those do add up. We are happy with your Honda purchase and the price we got. A top of the line civic for about $7K less than a new one would be, and with only 15K miles on it. Car is in excellent shape. They are constantly bringing in new cars as well so you can see whats about to be added to the website on their holding lot where you drive the cars. They also update website regularly. Ours was removed from the website once we made our deposit (which is no refundable by the way so make sure you are sure before you whip out your card). Keys: they only offered one and said I could have another made (keyless entry, push button so it's a key fob). He said cheaper than Honda if I did it at DS: $250. I called Honda, it's $135, much cheaper. So Jeff was mistaken or upselling me. They should come with two keys, all cars do.
